The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by The Agency Fri 23 Jan - 15:36

Whispers and shadows were sent throughout the world. There was suspicion of an "underground movement" with radical beliefs that portrayed this new enigmatic group of black suited individuals as an evil, vindictive and cruel people. It was said that they would stop at nothing to achieve their plans of world domination, it was said that they experimented on matahumans to learn how to kill them, some said that they mind controlled metahumans and used them as slaves, some people even said they all ate puppies and fried babies with their laser vision. Of course not every claim is true, and the ones that were had been off of sheer coincidence rather than anyone knowing for fact. In a sense it was the unknown that was scary. They were so full of mystery and secrets that no one knew ANYTHING about them. They were a sheer force of humanity that was very, very powerful and very organized.

To this ends metahuman gangs from all over the world had gone up, started making names for themselves and their slogans and threats that they could take on anything these "secret agent's" could throw at them. They were free to speak it, free to peacefully protest them...but the moment they acted out violently they were all detained and shipped off to unknown locations. However there was ONE group that was different form all the rest. One metahuman group that was hunted down fiercely. One metahuman who was fabled to know this group and their inner workings. One who knew of the inner atrocities of this group, and more importantly... knew how to bring them down.

Indianapolis was the place to be. The metahuman known as "Gravitas" was on the lamb. It was up to the metahumans, be they in a group or separate, to find Gravitas before The Agency.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Samael Christensen Fri 23 Jan - 17:26

Whispers within the shadows spoke, though even they did not know what they were speaking about. About an evil group, men in black suits that were capturing metahumans and something about mind control. Either way, something about these rumors caught Hyperion's interest, drawing death from his shadows to look into whatever it was the scared metahumans spoke about. Normally The Abyssal incarnate would have kept out of such matters, but something about it caught his interest. Rather, a certain amount of information had captured his attention and made this more than a passing fancy. This was his reason for visiting Indianapolis, to perhaps track down one of these men in black, learn what he could from them and then be rid of them. With how many metahuman gangs were rising up, he would have no problem gathering as much attention as possible, though perhaps if he were lucky he could tail one of the other metahumans, allow them to bring in the payload.

Three humans had been chosen, scum of the streets they had been and perhaps candidates to face the power of his weapon, shifting and molding them into weapons. Hideous shifting monsters of horror only know within The Abyss, mindless but they followed his orders above all else. Despite their dislike of the light, they would serve their purpose, slinking within the shadows and supporting him if he needed the support. For the moment he was dressed simply, black jeans, with a light gray shirt and a dark leather jacket over that, silver eyes flecked with neon green glowing ominously. ”I wonder if a little mayhem will speed this along.” He muttered to himself, stroking his chin softly. ”No, heroic types will probably get in my way before men in black.” This caused The Abyssal incarnate to growl, before shaking his head.

”Well, I could always find that one guy.” A low grumble would radiate from the shadows, one of his creatures likely doing something. A fog had begun to roll through the streets of Indianapolis, dark purple in color and clinging lowly to the ground.

Death walked its streets, and it was looking for one thing.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Forceaus Fri 23 Jan - 22:16

Let me tell you a story. A story about a young woman in the prime of her life that had it all taken away by those whom consider their goals to be more important than one person's life. Alison Skyler Phillips had been born in Newfoundland, Canada and had been trying to live a normal life, but things prevented her from doing so. The first of which was the simple fact that she was a metahuman. A child with powers that defined her as a psychic. Powers that she tried to keep hidden and for the most part, believed that she had. Little did she know that despite her best efforts, people still caught on. Excelling at nearly everything she attempted aroused suspicion and they came for her. Alison tried to get away, but to no avail. A near fatal car accident took away any chance she had at escaping, and she was captured. The damage her body suffered from the crash forced them to take action to keep her alive so they could exploit her gifts. Thus, she was eventually turned into a cyborg at the cost of some of her power, and forced to assist them in their endeavors. The people responsible for this was the agency.

Indianapolis, Indiana. The place where she had been sent to. The agency had finally decided to make its move. Whatever the hell that was. They must have been really bored or something. Who knows? Whatever endgame they had in mind, there were those that wanted to prevent it. So, she was here to eliminate those people because she had no choice in the matter. Having been turned into a cyborg had taken away most of her free will. Agent Prima, as they called her in reference to her passion for dancing, was having to accompany Agent Killenger on this mission to remove an obstacle from the equation.

Alison, along with those she was undertaking this mission alongside arrived in Indianapolis via some pods. Their arrival sent people fleeing in terror. Alison was armed to the teeth and had been readied to deal with any threat. Which is why they were keeping her in the background for the most part. The agency was very protective of its reputation. They carefully toed the lines until the opportunity arose for them to cross them without consequence. They were one slip-up from dooming their own operations. That's why they had to be careful. Since their targets were superpowered gangsters, they had been provided with some leeway. Though they were still wary of deploying their Agent Prima too hastily since she was pretty much a living weapon. As such, Alison waited until something came up. In the meantime she merely stared blankly at the sky. The really dark purple sky.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Shadowoof Mon 26 Jan - 6:41

Marcus had moved though tunnels and planes, keeping hidden and never letting someone he didn't want seeing him. He had heard these whispers of the human group that were taking metahumans and he thought about the 'supercancer' where a metahuman had tried to forcefully take him for test. This made Marcus think more about the slave part that these whispers was true. Aside from that he had been learning information himself though his own means and had learnt of meta human groups that were already resisting and of one that wasn't getting captured.

Marcus came to Indianapolis to hunt down the man or meta that the human organisation would most likely be searching for themselves in hopes that he could annoy the bastards as much as possible, his only problem being he had no clue where to go or what to do. It was times like these he wished he had someone to order him around so that he wouldn't be clueless like he was now. Marcus had to emit to himself, he ran into unknown territory half-cocked and unwise but this didn't matter. He had a knack for finding trouble and all he needed was a lead. And that lead was seeming to be a fog unnatural in color moving along the ground. "I do say, I call that a lead." And with that Marcus walked though the ever purple fog to hunt and find his target.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by The Agency Sun 8 Feb - 19:22

"You understand your mission then? It's of vital importance, Megaton MUST be removed from the equation." The audio of the director was radioed to Agent Killinger's pod. "Huntsman, you've been assigned Agent Prima to assist with your endeavors. We require Subject: Gravitas to be captured, all others should be dealt with to protocol. Senselessly slaughtering isn't our goal, it's bad for our image, and I've already got Subject: Incubus blowing things to hell. If I wanted more paperwork I'd send him." Agent Killinger gave a soft chuckle beneath his mask. If they didn't want paperwork they wouldn't have sent two of the toughest s.o.b's on their roster. Of course the director knew the risks. But generally with great risks came great reward... or great failure. The pod's screen lit up and began to show the face of the target. He looked like a guy in a grim reaper outfit with purple embroidery. The picture on his face revealed a young man, no older than twenty one. The screen identified him as Subject: Gravitas. He was an escaped "Experiment" of sorts, similar to Subject: Shade.

"You seeing this Prima? Looks like our prey has some strange form of Gyrokinetic ability. Word from the old to the young, keep away from loose objects, and watch your footing. With these types anything is a weapon, even physics." Killinger said to his comm device within his mask, hopefully Prima was paying enough attention to catch his advice. The Psychological profile described their target as "Brash and unwilling to reason" type. He's prone to explosive behavior when someone calls him by his real name, going as far as to implode a battalion of twelve agents the second one of them referred to his name. It then clearly defined that while he has no true "standing" upon metahuman superiority, he simply despised The Agency and everything they stood for, subsequently causing him to target and torment humans, simply to force the Agency's hand. Well, if Prima and Killinger were after him, the game was on.

"Huntsman on the move. Prima, your job is to find Gravitas, smoke him out. I'm en route to collect something of value he's taken from us. Secondary objective, but I'm sure you'll be more than ready." Killinger said before the pod opened and he stepped out, immediately he took off in a different direction as coordinates were uploaded to Prima's hud. She was headed for a nearby junkyard it would seem.

****

"They're here." The ice-man said as he stood still. Police were frozen as living statues in his presence, the ground beneath him had fractured and cracked as it turned to ice. The man in the grey sweat pants and red and black L.L Bean jacket scoffed and turned his head to let out a little whistle. "What's the boss' orders?" He asked as the man next to him seemed unaffected by the freezing.

"Let them come. Apparently they're nothing he can't handle." The man said as he blew a little smoke from his mouth and ran his hand through his hair. "He might be an arrogant little bastard, but he's calling the shots for a reason I guess." He added in before turning round and walking off towards the inner workings of the massive junkyard complex. In the dead center there was a building, nothing overly impressive but a building non the less. The large fences were more than enough to keep out most trespassers, and the facility was rumored to have metahumans hidden within it, though there was no probable cause worth an investigation. Until now, that is.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Samael Christensen Mon 9 Feb - 4:13

Being a death incarnate had its perks, and these perks would help him find what he was looking for more than anything. This fog of death would roll out from his person, hanging low to the ground as it moved almost like a living organism, keeping those which he had molded within their beloved shadows. They could not truly withstand the cut of his cruel blade, yet he would allow them a chance to serve their wrathful sovereign, to regain that which had been lost to him. Picked up by a low breeze, the chilly mist would flow more and more through the empty streets, causing the flesh of any being to touch it to feel almost cold. No damage would be done, but they would know that this fog was beyond normal. Now sure of himself, Hyperion would slowly begin to stalk through the fog in search for what would lead him to his destination, hands buried into his pockets deeply.

Close behind him, the scuttling of unearthly claws against concrete, small and almost inconsequential glimpses of the monsters within the darkness. A single thing would stand stark within the expanse of the fog, a brief burst of pure nether, death was happening close by. All it took was a sensitivity to the element to know it had been released, life had been taken within these streets. Human or metahuman he would have to find out, as neither in the end really released anything different. This almost lovely scent was something that drew Hyperion towards it, whimsically slipping through the darkness of the alleyways to avoid any sort of detection whatsoever. Of course he could feel the hunger, small in comparison to what it had once been, but it was a hunger that remained nonetheless.

”Looks like I found something.” he muttered with an almost pleased tone, three demons following close behind to protect their sovereign against whatever would threaten him. Curiosity brought him to what looked like some form of junkyard complex, protected by an exterior fence. Normally humans would have been kept out of this, but he was not someone so easily cowed, now Hyperion would slip through easily enough. Dark energy coalesced around his index and middle finger, forming a small sphere that would float fro that point to slice a neat hole within the fence. It would be large enough for him to step through, as well as allow the three behind him to.  ”I wonder what died around here?” he whispered, venturing deeper into the junkyard to, taking notice of the deeply frozen ground, frowning noticeably.

”Fucking brilliant.” He cursed softly, taking notice of the cop shaped ice figures, still obvious enough for him to tell they were once human. ”Guess I missed the party.” if someone had done this, he would only need to go further into this place, and so the fog followed.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Forceaus Tue 10 Feb - 0:45

Here they were, the agency was in Indianapolis to hunt this 'Gravitas'. The parameters of this particular mission were being discussed between the higher ups and this Killenger person that she was stuck undertaking this mission with. Alison had never even met this guy before, but could already tell she didn't like him. Probably due to the fact that he was a member of the group of people that kidnapped her and turned her into a living weapon. That and the little bit of so called advice he was giving her made her want to punch his face in. She would do so too, but the second she even started advancing towards him so that she could do it, the security protocols would come into effect and override her decision making capabilities. It was not a question of desire, just the restrictions in place to prevent it. Instead of going through with her wish to try and take down these agency people and attempt to escape them, she had to focus on this mission.

The information on their target was on full display in the computer in her brain. This Gravitas person was an escaped experiment of the agency's. An experiment, just like her. It made her almost sympathize with him due to having been in such a similar situation. So basically she was being forced to hunt down a kindred spirit. That is something they would do. Not only that, but she was being sent in alone as Killenger was instead going off to scavenge for stolen goods. So, she would do all the work and he would probably try and take all the credit. Prima could see that happening. It's been done before. He could go run off to a bar and get drunk off his ass and still get credited with the success of the mission.  Unfortunately he got to give the orders here. As a result of that, Prima was the one to have to go to the junkyard and fight the gyrokinetic. Fight a gyrokinetic in a junkyard. Yeah, they would send her in for that.

This junkyard was definitely a junkyard. No place for anyone to simply be wandering around in. The coordinates she had been given weren't that specific, so she was left to walk around near aimlessly and hope to find some sort of clue to the whereabouts of her target. All she was finding so far were piles of garbage though. Prima turned a corner and stumbled across some people frozen. Literally frozen. They were encased in ice, and most likely dead. Her scanners said otherwise however. These poor people were still alive, but trapped in ice. Luckily for them, she had a means of helping them.

Prima reached into one of the cases on her belt and pulled out a compact flamethrower. She carefully aimed it towards them and let loose a burst of fire that started to melt the ice. Her mission parameters were advising against this course of action as it distracted her from the mission, but they did not force her to cease. She kept this up until they were freed from their icy tombs. While doing this, Prima saw more of that strange purple fog from earlier up ahead. That would be where she would go.

Now that those people were no longer frozen, Alison put the flamethrower away and took off again to start following the strange fog. She followed it even deeper into the junkyard until she saw a building surrounded by some fences. Her databanks started providing her with some information on this building. They indicated that this was a possible hideout for Gravitas. That mean't it was exactly where she would need to go. This fog though, she couldn't ignore it, but what should be done about it. Prima opened up two of the cases on her belt and put her hands besides them as she began to approach both this fog and the building. Let's see what happens now.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Shadowoof Tue 10 Feb - 23:50

Marcus had been following the fog for some time, his pants doing little to block the coldness the fog emitted. He didn't like being in the open where he could be tracked and attacked, Even doe he had a constant source of his power the feeling of being attacked by anything set him to the limit of breaking down. He followed though the streets his mask appearing and disappearing without care, both hands in pockets of the cargo pants he wore until he came upon something. A woman who was walking though the fog herself. Marcus was quite a distance away but could already tell she had something planned seeing as most normal people were hiding in their homes while this lady walked freely and into what seemed like a junkyard.

Waiting a small while he walked towards where she walked and confirmed his suspicion of the place being a Junkyard but if thats where she was heading then Marcus didn't know what else to do but follow from a distance. He walked forward but made sure to be silent with each step, looking around corners as he passed them. One Corner caught his attention, the woman from before stood among some frozen people and with a little hand movement the woman pulled a gun that shot flame or basically a flamethrower and melted the ice without somehow burning the victims. As soon as she was done, his mask came on and he moved to the recently defrosted men and moved them to a safer location with a few tendrils before leaving a short message with them. When they awoke they would simply read be safe and run in the form of misplaced shadows as Marcus tried his best to catch up to the flamethrower lady. The fog biting at his legs again with cold, he caught up to the woman but stayed silent. I'm not very bright but I can see something is up with this fog, a few frozen people and this woman. he thought to Dark but didn't get any response from the demon inside.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Gamma Sun 15 Feb - 13:54

Bernard had a rough last couple of weeks, an assassin tried to murder him, he ran into a giant frozen wood chipper, got saved from that wood chipper by a man in black, then got saved by the man in black by....someone. Through numerous criminal connections he began to try to uncover just what the hell was going on. Apparently there were some classy dressing agents hunting down meta humans, at least that's what the rumor was underground. Bernard could believe it, but how do humans stand up against super powers? It seemed ridiculous for superhumans to be afraid of these people, yet they were.

Regardless of what was true Bernard had to make sure he wouldn't be followed before he disappeared. The last thing he wanted was a gun in his face while chilling at the beach somewhere in Costa Rica. So he asked around, picking up on a rumor that the agents were coming after a guy named Gravitas next. He could stay out of it, fly under the radar, but he had to at least find out a little more about the agents before leaving, and Gravitas was the guy to ask.

He was said to be hiding out in Indianapolis, Bernard got the tip from an old friend of his. This friend also gave him a list of places he was likely hiding out, places meta criminals always used when they were in town. Bernard had checked most of them before arriving at the junk yard, which looked to be the most promising. He ran up the fence and landed on the other side, then started running toward the building in the center of the yard. It was the most obvious place to hold up in the yard, so he would check that first.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by The Agency Tue 17 Feb - 18:11

"Yo, Boss. We got AZ up there on the top floor. You were right, again." The man in the L.L Bean jacket said as he approached the chair. In the chair was a man in a costume, a black hood draped over his face as his forearms lay across his knees and his eyes downcast to the ground.

"Does this surprise you?" The hooded man in all black asked in his usual low and calm tone. His black combat boots shifting as he forced himself to stand. His attire was akin to that of a "Death" Halloween costume, though with some more conventional plating and armoring. His attire was actually designed himself, for a rather good reason. His "Halloween" costume gone rogue appearance served two purposes. The first was that people who looked at him wouldn't be able to gauge his identity. The second was that people would likely see this "Halloween" costume and underestimate him...as he wanted them to. It made killing them much easier when they don't take you seriously.

"Sorta, not gonna lie." The man said before looking around the dark area. "You think we're ready for what they've thrown at us?" He asked, looking away from some of the other members of the "gang" and back to their ever stoic leader.

"I think even if you don't know the answer to that question, you're about to experience the answer so make yourself useful and don't die." Gravitas said as he shifted in his chair to be slightly more comfortable. "...A very fast individual incoming..." Gravitas said quietly, causing the attention of every metahuman in ear-shot to perk up.

 "Is it Killinger?"
"No, not fast enough..." Gravitas said as he stood himself up and slowly crooked his head to the side, the bones in his neck cracking and popping. "Open the doors, invite our guests in..."

******

"I'm picking up several metahumans on my H.U.D. Prima, don't engage them yet. Play cat and mouse. Lure them into a false sense of security. If we can have these guys fight for us then it's less work against Gravitas. Then when they've tired themselves out we'll bag and tag 'em. If they're with Gravitas just forget I said anything. Shouldn't be too hard for you." Agent Killinger stated over the communication link he had with Prima. He himself was already at his designated location, the "package" was ready for pick up. Slowly but surely, Killinger slipped his way through a window, having opened it with the assistance of his weapon. Once inside he couldn't help but look around cautiously before looking over a nearby railing into the congregated mass below. Several metahuman guards of sorts stood watch over a rather impressive piece of technology, the technology that Killinger had arrived for.

"Killing transmission. I will meet you at the central building in the Junkyard as soon as possible. Killinger, Out."

*****

The building's emergency vehicle door opened with an almost painful slowness and a wave of cold frost rushed out of the building, whatever had caused the cold-snap it was on the inside of the building. The temperatures on the inside were far below anything anyone would have found comfortable, and it was a relatively icy and foreboding entry way, but an entry way none the less.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Samael Christensen Tue 17 Feb - 18:43

There was one thing that Hyperion remembered he disliked about these little demonic minions, and that was the fact they did not talk. The only real response they would give is a guttural sound, coupled with a slight alteration of the face. Beyond that, he was sort of stuck with talking to himself, which lead to a lot of wrong assumptions about The Abyssal Incarnate, though not all of them were so wrong. Soon enough, he would step before the mechanized door that would lead into the building, ominously colored sphere he called eyes considering it for around a few seconds. ”I think it's about time I make a housecall.” He murdered, gathering a small amount of dark energy within his right hand, tracing from the center of his palm to the tips of each fingers. One of his creatures, keeping to their shadowy hiding places would let out a low growl, as if sensing something approaching.

”Now I remember why I hate these things.” Hyperion added with a roll of his eyes, preparing to break down the door with a single attack but...it had started to open on its own. Pace was slow, but the door was indeed opening, as if they had known he was coming somehow. ”So much for a stealthy approach.” Fizzling the energy out, he would violently shiver upon feeling the cold that whistled through the opening within the mechanized door. From bad to worse this thing went, yet here he was standing before the cold as hell door opening for him. Beyond stood more ice, clinging to the floor, wall and any ceiling in thick sheets. Standing in stark contrast to this was the sight of more people, containted within ice and likely dead, or dying. From the nether released, they were dead.

Hyperion took a deep breath, feeling the black mist rise as if from nowhere, and flow into his being. Strength, and a a small euphoria flowed through him, igniting the runic markings along his bare flesh in a low luminescent purple glow, becoming visible now, working and weaving like vines, unique almost to him alone. At the very least, he could thank the one who did this for the rather generous meal they had supplied him. Without the dislike of cold that Hyperion held, his minions would slink into the icy warehouse without hesitation,s till bathed within the shadows themselves.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by Forceaus Tue 17 Feb - 20:12

She stopped. Prima was standing just outside the outermost layer of the purple fog having just stopped in her tracks when she heard movement behind her. She could easily pass this off as being cautious about entering this strange substance. Anyone watching her, like someone that may be trying to sneak up on her could think this was why she stopped. Prima reached into one of the cases on her belt that she had opened with her left hand and grabbed ahold of what was inside. She then slowly extracted the object in question. What could be identified as a shotgun was pulled out of the case and she held it forth and was pointing it into the midst of the fog. Prima stood there for a few seconds before quickly turning around to see who was behind her.

More sounds of movement, the sight of someone running very fast towards the building. Was that Killinger? No, couldn't have been. He shouldn't have arrived yet. There was also someone else. Someone was indeed standing there having tried to sneak up on her. Now they had a firearm pointed right at their head. Her interal computer provided her information on this individual, and was subsequently identified as Subject: Shadow. Data on their known powers and actions were included, along with an authorization of lethal force if necessary. Good to know.

"Don't move. Down on your knees and hands where I can see them." she ordered of him as a transmission from Killinger came in. He informed her of the presence of several metahumans in the facility. Good timing, or bad timing. One of the two. Prima already knew of two that were there, along with the likelihood of more inside this fog. She felt a rush of cold air and turned around to see the door to the building had opened. Nobody was coming out though, but the fog was moving towards the door and into it along with the high speed metahuman. Were they just letting these people in? Did that mean they were allies of Gravitas'? If they were, then that mean't they were also enemies of the agency's.

Action had to be taken now before those doors were closed. It would complicate things as they could prove difficult to get through and waiting for backup was not an option at the moment. Presently, she had to do this alone, for now. Or did she? Prima turned back to Shadow whom she still had at gunpoint and spoke to him. "Subject Shadow, come with me if you want to live. Don't argue or refuse. We're going into that building, now." she told him and turned around to rush towards the now open entrance all while holding her gun at Shadow. As she drew closer she pulled out another shotgun and aimed it at those in the doorway. She pulled the trigger and a slight whirring sound was heard as a powerful wave of sound was fired at them. Prima then proceeded forward to enter the building.

Marcus stood silently until the lady turned to him with a shotgun. At first Marcus almost took a step back but held his ground and listened to her demands which were not going to be followed. He was about to make a snarky comeback when he heard a rather loud noise and saw the lady herself turn, not only that, the mist on the ground was moving as well. About to make another commit he was blocked again as the lady ordered him to follow her but what caught his ears was his name. 'Subject shadow.' Those words made Marcus think very hard and finally he knew what he was going to do and he was going to be doing it in a pissed mood.

"Your apart of that Group that says there's a 'super cancer' but have now just gone up and tried to eliminate Meta's. You Don't Order Me." Marcus yelled at her in his demonic voice. He started to run and was catching up to her but before he got any closer he raised several tendrils that turned into a large cube of darkness and flung it at her before Turning into his shadow form and moving along the ground which was covered in mist and effectively hiding his shadow form to get to the doorway.

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Bernard sped through the junkyard at the speed of sound, turning corners rapidly until he reached the entrance to the central building. Of course he was surprised when he saw a man already there with now dimming purple fog around him. And surprised again when he noticed the large door was opening for the two of them. It was rather cold, and he could see that inside was completely covered in ice. Interesting, maybe they just like there air conditioning on 30 all the time.

"This door is.....absurdly slow." He murmured waiting for it to completely open. He could phase into the building, but that might give Gravitas the wrong idea. Not to mention he wouldn't be able to do it again for a little while, and he could tell some kind of fight was about to ensue. While waiting for the door to open he felt like he might as well socialize with the man next to him. "Sooo, ehh, what brings you here?" He said in a friendly tone to the male.

Then he heard it, that sound. He heard it so many times before when he worked at the lab that gave him his powers. It was the sound a sonic gun or gadget made before firing, and his wicked fast brain had reacted to it just in time. He couldn't outrun it though, so phasing was the only option. He started to phase and the sound waves pulsed through his incorporeal body, though he was not damaged the sound still rung in his ears after the attack was finished. Instead of turning to face his attacker he chose to run head long into the building, still incorporeal. In mere milliseconds he was inside, standing next to obvious metahumans. "Someones attacking me out their, soooo, i guess i'm on your guys side.....right?"

The Gravitas of the Agency scheme Empty Re: The Gravitas of the Agency scheme

Post by The Agency Tue 3 Mar - 20:16

The story takes a little shift now. Welcome to the eyes of Gravitas' gang! Numero Uno is the one, the only frigid frost giant Absolute Zero! Okay yeah so his name was "Absolute Zero" and he was the number one. Honestly it was kinda like the Elite Four, he was number one, he specialized in ice. Of course that was only in the one region. Fun fact, more than half the members of Gravitas' gang still play Pokemon. It's like a super-nerd support group with villains. So with being a nerd came nerdy cliche's. Like villains that liked to talk big. Except he didn't talk. This is off topic, bringing it back now...

The Badass ballerina started towards Shadow, then suddenly turned and fired out some form of sonic shotgun to destroy AN Ice-man in the doorway. She then began to encroach upon the warehouse. Once she got close enough she would soon find that this of course wasn't going to be easy. She had entered the area to find several, dozens upon dozens of people held in poses or in stances of running or total fright, though they were literally frozen in place. Over 34 people scattered about. These people were beyond saving. It was actually so far progressed that they were now, quite literally, biological ice. The temperature in the warehouse was an astounding -15 degrees and if anyone had scanners of any kind they would see that the temperature was steadily decreasing. Whatever happened in here was only making things colder.

"Well hello, hello. Come in. Make yourselves at home." A voice came and echoed throughout the entire warehouse. The noise had some feedback to it, a little white noise. So wherever this voice was coming from was a radio of some kind. It was then that one could see, in the center of the room was an ice construct a person that was on his side, his arms up in terror. Right next to him was a radio, and with this radio was the source of the voice. "Well now whom do I owe the pleasure to? You're obviously not ALL whom I was anticipating. Of course it's not as if that really matters at this rate." He said, the doors to the warehouse closed and immediate there was a permafrost that sealed the door, the same kind of ice that covered the entire roof and walls. Unfortunately, Marcus would find himself quite irritated as he could not (even as a shadow) pass through, under or past the ice in any way, shape or form. To piss him off, and possibly Hyperion, the ice all began to glow and all the human constructs along with them. There was no "surplus" of shadow to be sure, however they were not rendered ENTIRELY useless. They still had their basic abilities after all, regardless of the glowing, light producing ice.

"I'm going to say this once. I have no qualms with Metahuman kind, nor do I humankind. My problems lie with The Agency. If you are not the ex-metahuman "Phase", or as he's known now "Agent Killinger", then I have no business with you." The voice said matter of fact, slightly bothered by having to go through the motions of explaining this to the trespassers. "All of you kindly identify yourselves and your reason for being here. Don't make this any more unpleasant than this needs to be."
