It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia April 8th 2016, 7:13 am

Canada, something about this place just screamed ‘burn me to the ground’ no matter what province you were in. The cold weather, overly nice citizens and just overall blandness of the place made Madeline sick to her stomach. If it wasn’t for the events that had unfolded in that accursed music hall, the demon goddess would have pack her bags and moved on long ago, however, having taken up an apprentice/champion in the form of an overly eager redhead, and her worthless friend, meant Madeline would have to stick around for just a little while long, if only to ensure that Heather didn’t muck up any of Madeline’s requests.

That being said as much as Madeline hated Canada, there were still dark forces at work here, and she couldn’t in good conscious leave such a presence unaccounted for. For all the woman knew, the source of the power could be another demon looking to encroach on her illustrious return, or it could possibly be another pawn waiting to be taken. Whatever the case, Madeline found herself already navigating her way through the busy streets in search of this strange presence.

Madeline stepped outside for the first time since the party, and immediately shielded her eyes from the harsh sunlight, it was bad enough this place was colder than an Eskimo’s underside, but the sun was out in full force with no clouds in sight to provide any refuge from the harsh light. Luckily for Madeline, she wouldn’t have to suffer the sun much longer, as the presence she was feeling, was pulling her towards downtown, where the towering skyscrapers blocked out the sun.

Madeline continued to follow the pull of the dark force, until it led her into an overly crowded airport of all places. For someone who was trying to put herself back in the minds of the people of earth, Madeline was being overly cautious and trying her best to remain incognito as she snuck past security using her dominating allure. The demon goddess made her way to the main terminal were the power seemed to be emanating from, but with so many people about, she couldn’t get an accurate read on the actual source of the dark energy. What Madeline needed right now was a way to clear out the terminal, and also draw out whatever was lurking here, that’s when she got a fiendishly evil idea.

Madeline snaked through the bustling terminal till she found a spot near a wall, where she leaned back and relaxed. With a simple snap of her fingers, the seemingly peaceful terminal broke out into sheer pandemonium as a large red, four armed demon seemingly appeared out of thin air. The mighty beast let out a deafening roar, before spewing flames from its mouth at a group of innocent bystanders that were to stricken with fear to flee. Now all Madeline had to do, was wait and see just how the presence she was feeling would respond.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Shadowoof April 8th 2016, 12:29 pm

The first thing Marcus did when he stepped away from the portal was shield his eyes from the bright heat that was the real sun. Not a fake one he had endured from where he came but a real one and quite a bright one at that. "Hey thanks for the lift. Do you know..." Marcus would turn back to the portal only to find that a faint glimmer was all that remained. "No never mind. Keep looking for your friend.. Where the hell am I?" Marcus said as he looked around the isolated street only to then notice one thing. it was really cold. He immediately brought his hands together and rubbed up a small flame that licked at his skin in a effort to keep warm. Moving on from his isolation in search of real people, Marcus would pass by a line of clothes that looked like they suited him compared to the patchwork of metal and cloth he wore now.

Wearing his new appeal of a white button shirt and jeans, Marcus continued his journey down the streets of the unknown city. Quickly coming across some of it's habitats and as soon as he heard the voice's he knew where he was. "Canada.. I'm in Canada. Knowing such from the infamous actor Mr Carrey, Marcus slowed down and began to enjoy himself, he always enjoyed the accents of others such as the Irish, British and Jimadians. He played at that name, had a ring to it that Canadian didn't, besides that, he found they were rather nice people, giving him directions when he needed them which was pretty nice of them, then again, they were known for the niceness, except in hockey, Marcus had heard the rumors and he would have liked to view Canadian Hockey later but right now he had another goal in mind. Get back to Chicago. Sure it wasn't much better in the warmth factor at times compared to here but it was his home, plus he needed to check up on the old man, make sure he didn't croak before serving up another bowl of that fine fried rice that he made.

After about fifth-teen minutes of aimless walking and taking directions, Marcus came up with a single conclusion, he had no god damn idea where the hell he was. At all. This place was a maze but at least he recognized his surroundings a little. He was at a terminal... It took Marcus a moment of thinking and a mental slap before he realized he wasn't led astray, he was where he had wanted to go. "Oh god your a idiot. If Dark was here he would have been on my ass. If only he was here... That reminds me. Where is Lucian?" Marcus said as he looked around the airport for a Corgi or an oversized Mangy Mutt with Horns and fire for eyes, fur and breath. As much as she was ugly and god damn annoying, Marcus had grown attached to that oversized fluff-ball of a hell hound and he knew it would be angry at him for disappearing like he did.

Shrugging Marcus began to look for a plane that was hopefully scheduled to fly to Chicago and soon, now that he realized it he really didn't want to get caught by Lucian. She would rip a piece out of him, quite literally. Yet then it happened, at first the screams caught his attention before the roar came after. It was one hell of a thing and it was loud as hell so it could only come from the most demonic thing, something about the size of a kitten and had teeth for eyes and the stinkiest breath. Turning to what created the noise, Marcus was shattered to find that his kitten was actually a large four armed demon with fire breath. "Huh." Marcus would say as his mask came aboard his face and he walked towards the massive beast, only now just realizing it had spewed flames at some innocent victims that would most likely be more or so dead. If his previously personality was still in control, they would be thought as food right now, or worse. But then the other realization hit him, one that saddened Marcus a little. His first thought was what the beast looked like, not what it was doing, then again death happened, it was a cycle, endless and unstoppable. "Hey Four arms!" Marcus called out to the monster before scratching the back of his head. "I don't know if your here for me but like the last group of demons. I'll kill you too. So I recommend you just go home alright?" Marcus would make the offer as a sort of instant last resort. Marcus knew it was highly unlikely this thing was going to back down but he really just wanted to get back to Chicago, well that and it honestly didn't look like much of a challenge. Super strength and maybe some high end Durability plus it's fire breath was the power's Marcus reckoned it would have, maybe a makeshift teleport based on how it just appeared like that.

Simple enough, easy to avoid and too easy to kill. Yet Marcus made no move, nor did he bend the shadows to his whim or summoned up some hellfire, no he was just a man with a demonic mask and a demonic voice when he spoke with it on right now. He gave the monster no hint to being dangerous which made Marcus realize something. Maybe he hoped the creature would attack him, just so he could kill it, if given the chance of course. Or maybe dangerous radiated off him, he sounded cocky and Marcus felt cocky by doing this, well, now it was up to the creature he guessed, would it run like a good dog or would it fight and die like a good dog.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia April 10th 2016, 12:59 am

The fish had taken the bait, hook line and sinker, though it wasn’t quite what Madeline had expected. A young man had stepped forward to confront Madeline’s summoned demon, claiming he would kill it if it continued to endanger the people in the terminal. He didn’t seem like much, and the demon goddess was slightly tempted to let her minion loose, but refrained from doing so, she would meet with the man face to face. With the snap of her fingers the four armed demon vanished without a trace, many of those that had been frozen with fear, were now frozen with confusion.

The cunning redhead stepped out from behind her cover, snaking her way through the crowd, her boots sending thunderous echoes throughout the terminal with each step. Madeline came face to face with the young man. Her amber color eyes looked the man up and down, nothing about him stood out, it was almost hard to believe that he was emanating any sort of dark energy at all. Regardless of how unimpressive the man looked, Madeline knew what power felt like and she wasn’t going to let this one slip by without learn a little first.

“Well now, aren’t you something. Standing up to a big monster all by your lonesome.” She paced back and forth as she continued to size the man up. “what possesses a man to do such a thing?” her words rolled off her tong, in a very smooth manner. It was almost as if she was goading the man into flexing a bit of his power, or to at least get a feel for what type of person she was dealing with.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Shadowoof April 10th 2016, 5:46 am

Marcus had began tapping his leg when the four armed beast vanished which actually surprised Marcus, maybe it listened and ran, or maybe it teleported behind him. He was about to take a look back when the echoes of footsteps, loud and powerful made there way towards him and so he kept his eyes forward and on the... Holy smokes of a woman was walking towards him, Red hair that went far down her back, a arm of really cool looking nature, horns adored her head and her skin was well not human. She wasn't human, that much could be conceived. And that's when she came eye to eye to him, well sort of, she was a tiny bit smaller then him in height but that really didn't matter at the moment and Marcus found himself looking into those amber eyes, they were rather pretty yet they seemed... dangerous.

After that, she began a sort of dance, well not an actual dance but he liked to think of it as such, a pace back and fourth as she studied him like a predator and it's prey. Her Voice was rather smooth, he had expected something demonic much like his voice was right now when the mask was hiding his flesh. "Well for starters, your 'big monster' wasn't that frightening, more like a four armed monkey that was having a fit... Nice horns by the way. Names Shadow. Yours." Marcus would say as he brought a few shadows from their hiding places in the terminal to snake around him as a way to pronounce his name more, the monster now that he thought about it, was a draw, bait. Otherwise she would have stayed hidden and let it loose on him, no she wanted him to come out and as to why. Well he didn't know.

"And I do warn yea. As Beautiful as you are, if your here to kill me like the last lot of demons I recommend you bugger off. I really don't want to ruin my clothes and your horns deserve to stay on your head, not in your stomach." Marcus warned in his demonic voice as the shadows that hovered near him dissipated into a thick looking smoke and vanished. Just a show of a ability to prove he could do something. And that also brought him to think about why she brought him out, ether she wanted him or she wanted that, an ability. Or maybe his assumptions were far off... Maybe she was much like the angel of fire. If so then Marcus knew he was going to have a bad time, one that ended with him getting his new clothes burnt off, he was all so sure of it.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia April 11th 2016, 6:27 am

Madeline gave the man a fake shiver of fear at his words, he seemed so confident but had no idea who he was dealing with. “Oh my, so brash. There’s no need for any fighting, unless you want to.” her pacing came to a stop as she shot the man a playful wink. She then took a look around the terminal, no one had seemed to move, their eyes were locked on the two. “Humans are so nosey aren’t they?” she said pointing her thumb at the group of bystanders surrounding them. It wasn’t like she wanted them to go away either, this was the perfect way for her to gain favor with the people of earth. It was a way to get people to start whispering her name once more.

Madeline’s eyes fell back to Shadow, showing little to any interest in his little display of power. A smirk appeared on the demon goddess face, there was no telling what was going on in that scheming head of hers. “Well considering all traces of me were erased from human record, I don’t really find it surprising that you wouldn’t recognize a god if you saw one.” Her smirk turned to a smile, as she deliberately left out the ‘demon’ part of her glorious title.

“My name is Madeline, and I am the ruler of the realm of Arcadia.” She added a bit of flare as she spoke. She peered out of the corner of her eyes, to see many of the commoners talking amongst themselves, she was correct in assuming that nobody seemed to know or give a damn about who or what she was, which irked her a little bit. The demon goddess’ eyes shifted back to the man, who seemed to be lost in thought, no doubt trying to figure out why Madeline had baited him out into the open. She would leave that for him to ask, if he wanted to know so badly, as for now she still needed to size him up a bit.

Madeline pondered just how she could wrap this person around her fingers, how she could fit him into her grand scheme of ascending back to power. She would either win this man over with her will alone, or she would have to force him into subjugation, either way worked for her, so long as by the end of the day she had a someone as strong as this man doing her bidding.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Shadowoof April 12th 2016, 10:03 am

Marcus grew more and more confused by the moment, mainly because one, he had gotten all excited by the thought of ripping a monster apart to all this talk the Demon woman spoke. Oh sorry. Madeline. What kind of demonic name was Madeline, well then again, he was just Shadow or Marcus but he was just a human a few months ago, so you really couldn't fault him. Still, her words sparked some interest, mainly because of those memory's Dark left in his noggin. Arcadia, a demon realm. One Dark knew a little of, far too little.

Shaking his head and taking a deep focused breath to calm his thoughts, Marcus looked the 'Queen' up and down and gave a small yet loud mockery of a laugh. "Oh yes. God and Queen. Well. I'm the Primordial Demon Lord of Darkness. And you bore me. Bye." Marcus half lied about that title, the half because he wasn't quite sure if it was true enough or not. Dark had liked to call himself Primordial but that was because a certain kid made a joke and Dark had taken it seriously, yet it might have been his title back in that time. Marcus didn't know, and he'd never learn it in this life time. With that, Marcus would click his fingers before exploding into a mess of shadows and reappearing right behind Madeline. His head near her ear so he could whisper yet a fair distance away to avoid the horn that rested atop her head . "Your not Wrong, Humans are nosy. Just the way you like it seems. 'Highness'" Marcus said the last word with a little more sarcasm then intended but never the less, Marcus would quickly jump back and turn before walking away, his true goal was to incite the goddess as she liked to call herself. Two reasons really, she started it and he really liked showing people who considered themselves a god how wrong they were.

"Honestly, a true god wouldn't have done what you did deary. No, they would have been more forceful. Taken what they wanted." Marcus said this as a ever growing smirk grew along his lips, now that he had cast aside his own bait. He walked ever so slowly to see if the little demon fish would take it. But it did also raise to question once again. What the ever living hell did she want?

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia April 14th 2016, 4:44 am

Madeline couldn’t help but let out a small snort of laughter at Shadow’s title. From the looks of him, the darkest thing he’d ever seen was the trunk of a car at best. Madeline could tell just by the way the man was speaking to her, and acting so nonchalantly around her, that it was rather apparent that Shadow did not take her seriously. To that end, when he did his little disappearing act and appeared behind her, she didn’t flinch, not a single muscle moved throughout the demon queen’s body. She found it rather cute that he was trying so hard to appear tough, it almost turned Madeline off to the thought of claiming him as a champion or disciple.

As the man turned his back to walk away he spouted off about how if Madeline were a true god she would have given off a more forceful display of her power instead of using one of her demons as bait. Madeline could tell that he was trying to yank her chain, he was trying to bait her into openly attack him, but what the man didn’t realize is his little attempt to irk the demon queen into a fight would not work on her. He was playing her game, and he was surely to lose, as Madeline would not take the bait but rather spit it back at him. “Huh, I guess the power I was sensing must have been coming from someone else. Because all I found here was a lost little puppy looking for someone to drag him along by a leash. Leave if you want, because something tells me you’re really good at running away.”

Madeline spun around to look at the man, only to give him a rather sly smile. It was only a matter of time before one of them snapped, but Madeline knew it wasn’t going to be her, she had been through far more aggravating conversations than this. Either Shadow was going to snap first, or the two would run out of insults for one another and eventually just go their separate ways…..only time could tell.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Shadowoof April 16th 2016, 4:26 am

Marcus stopped in his tracks and turned when the royal 'highness' responded. Oh she was good. Not only that, she wasn't as pompous as he had once thought... Maybe. Still debatable. With that in mind, Marcus would give a small clap, a congratz in a way. "Well Done. Well done. I had you wrong. Not the Royal Pompous dimwit as I thought you were. Truly well done. But before we continue, let me state. Sorry about my previous words but I am really horrible at insulting someone, so you've already won at that." Marcus said, biting back any comment on the insults she threw as he looked around to the on viewers, Nosy was the right word, if a fight broke out between the two, most of them would die straight up.

Letting his mask dissipate from his face, Marcus would make shewing gestures at the people as he took a few steps towards Madeline. She was a tough cookie, not only that, he was not the social type, nor had he ever had any confrontations like this before. But he knew one thing, this lady was ether the most... second most insane behind the naked plant woman he had ever met or she was a dead bit serious in her goddess title. What if she was a god? He might have just angered a goddess. And a Queen at that. A Pretty And scary one. He had to consider his options and so, he chose the non idiotic route. The absolute ass route or the Faking route. This time, he had to be a little more serious. "So. I'll bite further. Till the sharp wires of the hook allow no escape. Why on this realm did you want to draw me out. It's starting to become obvious you don't want to kill me like most. SO what do you want? Queen of Arcadia. Demon goddess? Or Just goddess." Marcus said as he looked past Madeline to the crowd, a soft pat of furry footsteps could be barely heard coming towards the commotion that had most confused or in awe. Most likely confused. He saw the one thing he hoped to had avoid but quickly looked back to Madeline. Awaiting her answer as he remembered that one of her previous insults gave way at an answer. Power.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia April 20th 2016, 4:45 am

Madeline would have added further insult to injury, but she had already cleared her first hurdle into luring Shadow into her web. “Now you’re speaking my language. Why did I seek you out, of all the people on this planet….why indeed.” One look at the man’s face and Madeline could tell that he had answered his question himself. Shadow would have most likely concluded that the goddess of war was after his power, and in a way she was, but she wasn’t looking to take, rather she had something more sinister planned.

“I can tell by the look on your face that you’ve already concluded that I came here for your power, but that’s only partially true.” She turned away from the man and looked about the crowed of confused people, none of them seemed to be able to make sense of what was going on, but to be fair, in a world filled with super powered people, there was no such thing as normal. “Take a look around us. Do you think any of these people know who I am? You certainly didn’t, and therein lies my current predicament.”

The demon goddess turned back to face the man again, bored with the worried faces of the miserable humans surrounding her. She shot Shadow a very serious look. She was thinking very carefully about how to word her next sentence. She had gotten him to take the bait, and didn’t want to risk losing the bind she had on him. “Needless to say, yes I am after your powers, but not for the reasons you may have in mind. I do not wish to strip you of your power, but rather…..I look to employ your power.”

What the demon goddess had truly meant was that she wanted to use the man for her own personal gain, but she wanted to come off sounding the least bit conniving or scheming, after all, setting up contracts with people was delicate work. There were no slick smiles, no smirks, no laughs to be had after that last remark, Madeline wanted to drill home just how serious she was. Now all that was left to do, was let the man’s own curiosity fuel the fire and drive the conversation on.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Marcus mostly nodded while Madeline spoke, taking it all in, a goddess out on the hunt for employees, which was what he guessed, but what he didn't realize was how... Modern she was being with this. She was way older then she seemed, and not only that, she could, maybe if she got a little more white onto her skin then the pale ash she wore. (Which stilled look really good on her.) She could have drawn half the male population in this terminal to her side. So why his power. That was what peaked Marcus the most. She didn't even really know what he could do, besides a little teleport and the smallest taste of Demonic darkness. She did say she could sense power"and not only that, maybe the comment on no one knew who she was might have been a factor, seeing as a god did like being noticed.

No, thinking about it wasn't going to get Marcus anywhere, he knew that, he knew that all too well. He had to question. And answer. "I didn't assume you wanted to take my power in the first place Me'lady. But employ. I had thought so. Which confuses me greatly. Your not the first to ask. And he wants me dead now... Not that he'll get close." Marcus said as he remarked on Red's attempts to kill and failures. Mostly because Marcus never really thought of himself as serious in those fights. And the fact Marcus didn't want Red dead was a factor as well.

There was a hella good chance he was going to say no at the end of this conversation which in thought maybe wasn't the first time, yet Marcus thought that he might as well learn what this woman wanted while he could. Heck, maybe she could do what Lucius never could. Tame a Shadow.  "So what would your Highness Require of me if I were to accept this transaction hmm? I don't think it will be for braiding each others hair nor taking each other out for a fancy dinner. So what are you asking of my power?" Marcus asked as he looked over her shoulder for a small peak to make sure the Corgi had not moved any closer, to which it had, just a little closer, and if it were any dog then it would be curiosity.. Maybe Lucian was curious. Curious to what her master would do. For she knew the being that stood before Marcus, debatable on who was older but that did not matter much to the hell hound. Just what she wanted with Marcus and what Marcus would say was what interested her.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

The demon goddess let out a small chuckle at hair braiding comment. “what’s wrong with braiding each other’s hair? Not your style? And going out for a nice meal every now and then doesn’t sound so bad either.” She mildly joked. Though she had grander things in mind for herself, the thought of sitting down and enjoying ‘normal’ life every now and then did seem like a nice idea. Her smile faded from her face and an arched brow and look of confusion took its place. *Previous employer huh?* she thought to herself in intrigue, *just who else was in the market for super powered pawns?*

“Killing you would be an utter waste and would serve no purpose. Whoever your previous employer was…..well let’s just say there’s a special place for people like that.” Madeline continued to skirt around the logistics of what being under her employ would entail, instead she slowly circled around the man,  getting closer and closer with each step, ever so seductively. “I’d really love to discuss the nature of my proposition with you further, but all these prying eyes are making me uncomfortable. What do you say to getting a little fresh air, or maybe even that dinner you mentioned.” She finished by giving Shadow a rather sly smile.

She was working her charm, whether it worked or not was yet to be known, but either way, this jam packed airport terminal was not the place to discuss matters that did not concern the masses. Not to mention the fact that someone had to have been released from their awestricken coma long enough to have alerted some form of authorities. The sooner they concluded their business or left the airport the better.

Marcus smiled a little when he got the demon woman to actually laugh because of his little joke, and gave his own smile and laugh back to her own but as soon as her smile faded into what looked like confusion, Marcus let his droop as well and just shrugged his shoulders. Soon enough it was back to business as she spoke about Lucius without yet knowing it was him. She also got the wording wrong, rather them previous employer it was more Previous half friend half murder buddies that also tried recruiting but didn't really succeed in doing kind of guy.

There was one thing he had to admit about her however, this girl seriously liked her walking around in a circle around a person trick, sure at first it was a little intimidating and cute at first but now she was just a... Really good looking person walking around him and saying things Marcus well. Never thought he would hear in a sense. And so, he began to laugh. "To be honest. This is the fairest I've gotten with a woman who is other worldly and she has yet to try and smite me. So I'm a little perplexed... Hold on." Marcus said before turning to Lucian and whistling, the hell hound in her Corgi form walked up and gave a dog like bow to Madeline before Marcus clicked his fingers. "Hey! No bowing to the goddess before we finish business Lucy. And anyways you might be older then her." Marcus chided the Hell hound who growled in return before looking back to Madeline.

"Well if you know a nice restaurant in Canada or Arcadia. Or just a simply a nice Quiet spot from humanity's eye. I'll follow." Marcus said as he looked at all the people, some finally coming to there senses and realizing there might be danger from just the presence of these two. Others getting phones and cameras out to capture the image. Yet not a lot of this mattered much, the main focus was still her, which was becoming cloudy itself in Marcus's eyes. She was perplexing, bewitching and fun. Something Marcus hadn't seen in someone for a long time and he hoped by the end of this, he didn't have to walk away with her horns in her stomach or his clothes burnt and cut, both would be bad but worst. She's be another foe, a enemy. It was not something he needed with all the foes he had now.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Madeline did a quick spin to see who the man was talking to, only to see a rather adorable corgi slowly approach the two and give a very charming bow to Madeline. The demon queen let out slight giggle as she returned the corgi’s bow with a curtsy bow of her own. “What a well-mannered little friend you’ve got there.” she said turning to the man. The red haired goddess perked up when Shadow agreed to going with her, this was a good sign generally. It was definitely a good idea to get a change of scenery, to many prying eyes, and nervous spectators were bound to ruin the moment and so Madeline jumped at the opportunity to relocate.

With the snap of her fingers Shadow, Lucian, and Madeline would vanish in a brilliant dazzle of flames and find themselves in a rather upscale Italian restaurant. Immediately they were met by faces of confusion and disgust as a thin man approached them rapidly, waving his hands about in hysteria.

”You cannot be here, no animals allowed, and you most certainly are not dressed appropriately!”

Madeline looked to Shadow with a sort of ‘watch this’ look on her face, moments before snatching the thin man by his tie, and leaning in with a rather seductive look on her face. “How about you give us your best table and a bottle of the most expensive wine you have.” her amber colored eyes seemed to almost shimmer as she spoke, while peering deeply into the hosts own eyes.

As soon as Madeline released the man from her grasp, he quickly straightened out, gave the party a polite smile and beckoned for them to follow him. Madeline quickly followed in toe, occasionally shooting a wicked glance at the rather snooty patrons around them. Shadow, Lucian, and Madeline were eventually led to a secluded table in the back of the restaurant, and once they were all sitting, the host rushed off, only to come back seconds later with a chilled bottle of wine and two glasses as well as two menus. After the host had left, Madeline took a sip of the wine and reclined in the comfy booth seat, while giving Shadow a sly smile. “Go ahead, order whatever you want, and don’t be stingy. And let’s not forget to get your little friend something as well. We can continue our conversation after the foods arrived.” Madeline relished in the moment, manipulating common folk was always easy, and it was the only time she could feel like her old self, where she was in total control and people bent to her command.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Well, Marcus had been teleported trice now and this was the best one to him, no prison cell, nor a deserted rooftop where his sanity left him and turned him into a fire cannibal maniac. An actual restaurant, this woman was taking this seriously, somehow that made her a much cooler person then she already proved to be. Soon enough the trio would be encountered by what seemed like a important person in this fine place but a look from Madeline simply told Marcus to stay still and watch the show. And it was something alright, her words seemed to have dulled whatever thoughts the man had before as he straightened and rather then ask them to leave, he beckoned them to follow.

Marcus knew she had Charm, but charm can only get you so far. Mind control? Maybe, or maybe she could force people to do things with a stare, rather interesting and frightening, he felt like she hadn't done what she just did to him to get him here but would he have... Yes, he would have, he had dealt with minds for quite a number of years, he wouldn't have let something easily control him though the mind. Not even something as gorgeous as her. Following to a table, Marcus sat in the rather comfortable seat before looking to Madeline, who with a rather sly smile told him to go wild on food, order whatever he wished, it was tempting but he had to silently decline the offer.

While he didn't order anything for himself, he ordered a steak for Lucian, he didn't know if she would eat it but in the presence of Royalist then she might too be respectful, Marcus himself was just not in the mood for food and rather was contempt to sip from the aged wine that was far too expensive for him. "Well. That was a rather nice party trick. I myself have a fun one I save for situations but that mind control of yours must be fun Madeline." Marcus said as he placed the glass of wine down and grabbed a nearby fork, stabbing it into his knuckles to no avail, only the near snap of the metal that was the fork. "And I now truly believe you to be a demon Queen. A Hell hound as old as Lucian here doesn't bow to just anyone. Arcadia.... I know a little of your realm. But the memory's are.. rather foggy." Marcus said relating to Dark's going away present, a fogged wall of memory's. Demons, Queens and Kings. And a lot of blood.

Lucian simply curled up near Marcus's chair as she waited for the continued conversation, waiting to see what the Queen of Arcadia would do, and how her master would respond, react or simply ponder off in thought like he could easily do in the midst of conversation, of course that was a few months ago before he was taken. Now to see if he had changed more so then he showed.

It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof) Empty Re: It's never sunny in Canada! (Shadowoof)

Post by Queen of Arcadia May 16th 2016, 4:23 am

Madeline gave a slight chuckle as she poured herself another glass of the expensive wine. “Mind control? No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s not mind control, I’m just really hard to ignore.” she ended her statement with a playful wink. Madeline always had a knack for wrapping people around her figure, but she never attributed her legendary persuasive skills as mind control, though technically when you have as dominating a will as the demon goddess then yeah, I guess you could chalk it up as mind control.

As she knocked back the glass of wine, she noticed the man do something completely out of the ordinary, as he picked up a fork and stabbed himself in the knuckles, causing the prongs of the fork to snap off. Though Madeline didn’t know if that was the extent of how durable Shadow was, or the fact that she could easily one up her company, she decided rather to indulge the man instead and gave a small gasp and clap of astonishment. Madeline was about to finally get down to the dirty details of the offer she had for Shadow, but her attention was quickly swayed when the food they had ordered arrived.

Though she was stunningly appealing and as elegant as her title of queen and goddess would imply, Madeline was an absolute fiend when it came down to food, there was no way to describe the savagery at which she attacked her meal. She was like a shark that had just gotten wind of fresh blood, or a pack of ravenous piranhas picking a meal clean. It took a little while for Madeline to even remember she had company, and slowly turned down the feeding frenzy, one to give Shadow a big smile of embarrassment, hoping that the grisly display wasn’t to off putting.

Madeline quickly wiped away any excess sauce she had on her lips, and cleared her throat. “You’ll uh….you’ll have to excuse my behavior, I just really can’t help myself around food.” she said with a big smile. She slowly leaned in as her look and tone became slightly more serious. “So down to business I suppose. That is after all why we’re here right?”

“Well anyway, the terms and conditions are quite simple. If you choose to accept, all you have to do is be you, no strings attached, I’ll even throw in a mystical artifact or power boost for free. Oh and maybe throw my name around once and while.” She leaned back in the leather booth, and took a slow sip of her wine, peering at Shadow, with her golden amber eyes through the glass before continuing.

“And don’t worry, this isn’t like one of those crumby infomercials, there’s no ninety day trail or anything, you keep the power up for life.” The smile on Madeline’s face said she had some sort of fine print about the contract that she wasn’t being up front about, and usually that was the deal breaker, but hopefully it wouldn’t be too big of a deal in the long run.
