The scene opens it's sun rise, the wind is whistling the birds are chirping as animals run through the forest. A clown drags another body into a house



The clown chuckles as the unconscious body is put into a room surrounded by dolls who watch her.


Suddenly the unconscious person wakes up not knowing whats going on, but being surround and shucked he can't move. The dolls start to laugh which alerts the clown to return.

Clownish: I'm glad you're awake detective, you've been on my trail for a while looking for all of those poor missing people well you've found them look around.

As the detective looks around the room the faces of the numerous missing people are the same people who faces are on the dolls who chant and snicker.

Detective Lane: You won't get away with this Clownish, I won't let you.

Clownish: Oh, but I will and you will be my next doll a very beautiful one at that.

Clownish walks over to the detective and kisses her on the face before laughing and leaving her in the room as she is tries to find a way to escape.


~ 72 hours later ~

Chief of Police: Detective Lane has been missing for 72 hours and we official have declared her a missing person.

Random Officer: Chief we just got a video from it's from Clownish.

The video rolls with Clownish laughing at the camera.

Clownish: Hello officers, by now you must be worried sick about your poor Miss Lane, well I can tell you she's in great hands. She even is going to have a line of Miss Lane dolls in production isn't she pretty?

Clownish then displays Miss Lane in doll form she looks lifeless as Clownish laughs.

Clownish: If you don't want to have the same fate as Miss Lane here I suggest you stay out of my way. It's not like I'm hurting anyone who cares if a few homeless people end up as my own personal human dolls? Now Miss Lane I believe we are late to our own tea party.

A large bell is heard ringing in the background, a bell tower? Clownish laughs as the video ends.....

Flyers go up around town, and all the local news stations are all reporting about the lead detective being lost and asking for the help of heros, because a meta has taken captive of her.

Kolson who is enjoying his vacation in florida stumbles upon the news report of the missing woman. He doesn't think anything of it people go missing all the time. He then continues to walk around Florida a place of much controversy lately, he wonders how one city can cause so much harm.

So Jeannie finds herself at the beach enjoying a well-deserved vacation,and one of them fruity drinks you get in a coconut with the little umbrellas .  Jeannie then hears a ringing sound huh whats that?

She looks around before realizing it's her phone,she reached for where her pocket would be oh right bikinis don't have pockets silly her. She then digs through her purse looking for it. Darn stupid work fairies in the form of the Tampa police found her. Just once she'd a vacation that didn't get interrupted. She thinks she  needs to turn her phone off next time,but then she'd couldn't order pizza huh a not win situation.

So the officer on the phone explains they have a missing person and a crazy clown on the losses and the herd she was in town and would like her to help,huh well she's good at finding stuff and an evil clown is still a clown so that shouldn't be too tough. Plus that's two rewards so if she wraps it up quick  she can get back to her vacation and have money for dinner at one of them fancy restaurants  she saw.

So she tells him she's on the job and gathers up her stuff to leave the beach. While Doing that she hers ring she likes much better ice cream truck,well she's on vacation at the moment so a little break for ice cream won't hurt can't fight crime on an empty tummy.

So Jeannie enjoys her frozen treat while thinking of her plan of action,one that involves getting this out of the way quick so she can get back to her vacation.

Issac pulled his suitcase along as he exited the plane, his body sore from the long trip to Florida. His agent told him a recent case of murders had been happening there and it was now his priority to go and check them out. Stopping and getting an ice coffee he proceeded to the hotel where he began his operation of trying to figure out where the investigator was, until he looked out his hotel window and saw the sandy white beach.

Down the elevator and out the lobby he found what he was looking for, girls. Hot sexy models tanning, surfing, or simply talking, the whole scene was overwhelming for a lady charmer such as himself. One such woman, headed toward the ice cream shop, caught his attention. He quickly following her into the shop and waiting as she orders her ice cream he decided to make a move. "Funny, I didn't know super models were allowed to eat deserts" he said to the beautiful woman as she finished her transaction. "What brings a hot mama such as yourself to this boring part of the world?"

Jubal had been in town for a few days, the coverage of the killer clown was everywhere these days, when he first saw the story he was creeped out by the idea that someone was actually dressing up as a clown to kill people like in the movies. Clowns were creepy enough on their ow so Jubal didn't need one that was trying to kill people, when the newest video had been released with the lead detective being captured Jubal did his best to find the area that the killer clown was staying. The only real clue being a bell in the background that was rather loud, he kept a small notebook with the names of various areas with bells that he had visited, many of them were crossed out as none of them had proved to be the clown's lair. A single hand ran through his dark black hair as he sighed lightly, he had to think more about where to look, one had to get into the mind of a killer clown but Jubal couldn't really do that as he sat at the small bench near the ice cream truck.

His attire rather normal and casual just a pair of black running shorts, a white T shirt all plain, and a pair of off brand grey basketball shoes, one would hardly think this average looking man was actually a super powered human. Jubal had not enlisted the help of anyone because his methods for dealing with things wasn't one most would agree with, he leaned back against the bench glancing towards the ice cream truck that was only about thirty feet away from the bench. The thing that drew his attention was a young man that was laying it on thick towards a young woman with colorful hair, he couldn't help but give a slight pfft of laughter from the bench as he heard what the guy was saying. 'If he laid it on any thicker it'd be a blanket' he thought to himself jokingly, though as he thought about this he did wonder when the last time he had been on a date was, his brow furrowing a little bit as he tried to think of the last time and he honestly couldn't really remember.

(Not trying to ignore any characters, just Jubal doesn't really have a reason to approach any of them yet.)

As Kolson walks the streets he gets a mild headache the very same one when around other metahumans. Kolson rubs his temples, he then reaches into his fanny pack that hangs off of his waist. He grabs a pill bottle and pops one so that he could feel better. Though Kolson couldn't tell where they were one of them was familiar Jeannie? The last time he was in contact with her was several months ago. Is she trying to hunt him down? Either way he decided to steer clear of her until absolutely necessary.

About an hour had pass and Kolson continued to see flyers of the missing person it was kind of pissing him, how one person seemed to be causing so much disruption in the city. Kolson then ends up finding a circus it doesn't seem to be getting much business with the recent news of missing persons. Kolson decides to take a stroll through carnival/circus enjoying the various rides and cotton candy. He then comes upon a psychic booth.

Psychic:
Young man step up and know the unknown!

Kolson who is half curious half skeptical of the psychics abilities he heads towards her.

Psychic:
Ahhh a believer or a skeptic they all come to listen to me the one who can see what is unseen. Do you want to know the future or are you more interested in talking to someone in your past (The psychic gives Kolson a half smile as she knows his answer before he does)

Kolson:
So you really have psychic abilities? If so why don't you help find all the missing people the clown has taken? (Kolson says as he sits down he looks up into the face of the psychic and studied it. She was old though you wouldnt be able to tell with all the caked up makeup but she had seen things her eyes were a deep green you could get lost in them if you stared too long which could be how she draws so many people in)

Psychic:
Some of my practices prevent me from just heading to the authorities. Who would believe a lowly carny psychic? Now let me see your hand. (As Kolson gave her his hand she felt them and traced his fingers, she grabbed his entire right hand with both of hers she studied his hand felt the wet of it and smiled. She let go.

Psychic:
I know what you are. Don't be alarmed your secrets safe with (Suddenly she is stopped as someone who has moved on wants her to deliver a message) Kolson (pun hearing his name Kolson perks up he had not told the psychic his name) someone really is watching over you.

Kolson: How do you know my name?

Psychic:
Abigal. She says stop him, stop the killer clown and you can save so many lives.

Kolson: Abigal what? How? Who are you? (Kolson stands up in disgust and disbelief this con artist must know who he is.)

Psychic:
I can only give you the messages that was given to me. (The psychic then gets up and grabs something from her bag a pen and paper) take this and leave. I've already said to much.

The psychic shoves the paper into Kolson with a name and address.

Kolson:
What? What is this? (Kolson reads the paper with the address and name on it it only takes him half a second but when he looks up the psychic has vanished. Where did she go Kolson didnt know but he had so many question he wanted to find her but he also wanted to do what Abigal asked of him)

OOC: Will edit and format this in the AM going out for the night. Good job so far everyone.

So Jeannie is eating her ice cream when a man appears asking her questions . really I didn't know that,guess it's a good thing I'm not a model then. Too bad cause it like playing dress up,wonder if they'd make an exception for me, cause I like sweets too much to give them up. But I got a really fast metabolism does not matter how much it eat I never get any fatter neat huh.

Momma no I'm too young to be a mommy,your funny well I was her on vacation,but then I got called in to do a job. Have you seen any clowns I got to find a bad clown so the policies can put him in time out. Then there some missing people that need found. My plan is I'll solve the cases and get the rewards ,and have more money for vacation when I get back to it. a good idea huh? So what might you be doing here are you on vacation too?

"Clowns? Yea, I heard something about that, decided I would pop down here and sort things out myself." Issac says stretching and trying to show as much muscle that his thin body possesses. "Besides, if they try to pull anything you can be guaranteed that I will stop it before it even begins. Now lets head up to my hotel room, I can personally order more ice cream if you want." Ignoring his surroundings and most of the conversation he barely notices the man sitting at a bench watching them or the comments about shape shifting into his mother that the honey temptress makes.

"Listen, I'm sure you get a lot of guys  but how would you feel if I told you I have special powers? Before you answer I wanna also remind you that my secret identity must be kept a secret. I'm only breaking that rule because, I feel like I can trust you and that we can really get to know each other better." Issac moves closer, stroking the soft hair of the goddess in front of him. "How bout it baby?"

As Jubal listened to the interaction between the two at the ice cream truck he seemed to be confused for a moment, the young lady seemed to either be really playful or well not all that smart. Jubal wasn't one to call someone else dumb because he wasn't a smart guy just average in the intelligence department, he started to lose interest in their conversation until he heard the young woman mention something about a bad clown, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that bad clown was probably the killer clown on the television. Unfortunately she didn't seem to have much information and her plan was rather simple but hey at least she wanted to help, the man mentioned knowing about the clown problem as well so Jubal decided that they might be useful to him even if only slightly. He continued to listen hoping the man had more ideas about where one might find the creepy clown at, he sighed as the man seemed more interested in trying to get the young woman interested in coming to his room.

Jubal now stood up from the bench and walked towards the two of them slowly, his movements slowly and precise as he took in his surroundings, old habits died hard he thought to himself. "Excuse me" he stopped just a few feet from the two of them when he spoke with a deep smooth voice, it was the kind of voice that someone from the radio would love to have, "I am currently attempting to locate this clown as well in order to bring them to justice". He spoke politely before holding up the notebook so they could see the various locations "could you tell me if you have checked any of these locations that are not crossed out?, the areas that are crossed out I have already inspected thus you don't need to waste time looking there". He was exchanging information in exchange for their information, even if they hadn't checked any of these possible places it wasn't like he lost anything and perhaps a bit of goodwill would get him some positive karma with the two of them.

Kolson is now outside of the carnival looking at the address that he was given. Putting it in the GPS but it leads him to the carnival he's already at. Kolson puts it into his phone and follows it, Kolson ends up right in front of a huge banner.



The Clown Posse tonights disappearing act tonight come and get lost.

Just then a giant bell rings out

Circus Leader:
Come one come all as our show is about to start! The Clown Posse will make another person disappear!

Kolson gets in line and thinks to himself why the cops haven't had this place under investigation yet. As Kolson enters the huge tent they have a fairly decent crowd. The inside is a colorful spectacle, it's filled with optical illusions. Kolson takes a seat where he is able to see everything from a good distance he then begins to activate his psycho boost just incase he will need to use his powers. As the show starts animals are brought out, elephants, lions, tigers, and monkeys. The clown gleefully play with them putting themselves in harms way for the entertainment of the crowd. One clown comes out who seems like the boss clown and he tells the other clowns to leave him.

Circus Leader:
Here is the moment you've all been waiting for Vlad the clown will make an elephant disappear! But first we need a volunteer!

Many people in the audience raise there hands hopefully to be picked as the spotlight covers the audience looking for the perfect volunteer Kolson uses his powers to make the spotlight land on him with his mind a very tough feat for him with out using his hands.

Circus Leader:
You young man come on down!

Somewhere in the audience the psychic lady watches carefully.

Kolson walks down smiling

Circus Leader:
Young man are you ready to see an elephant disappear?

Kolson:
I'm ready to see something happen (Kolson says with a smirk and sass that makes the audience laugh)

Circus Leader:
Ahhhhh a non believer well, non believer get ready to believe but first will you sign these papers? Magic doesn't always go right hehehehehe.

Kolson signs the contract without reading it and his fate is sealed.

Circus Leader:
And just like that a vanishing act begins, will we see this lovely man again? Vlad the clown is ready to go! Sit ye down in this chair you soul. Vlad will make you disappear yes Vlad will make you disappear.

Kolson is pushed into a chair and strapped down by clowns who laugh with glee. Kolson can't really move, as they are tying him up really well. Just then Vlad the clown comes next to him and surrounds him with peanuts! He makes a circle around Kolson. The clown the turns and summons to them to let the elephant free.

A huge elephant comes from the back and makes a loud noise indicating that it is ready for it's performance. Vlad the clown goes up to the elephant and whispers something to it. The elephant growls again, as it stares at Kolson it starts to kick it's feet in the ground in a gallop to head straight for Kolson.

The lights are all directly on the stage where all of this is happening, people are watching very closely no way will he make an elephant disappear or will he?

Vlad The Clown:
Charge! (The elephant takes off for Kolson, in a small gallop, Kolson stares right at the elephant that's running towards him it's gets closer and closer. Kolson tries to push it away with his mind but the elephant is heavy so it's not really working. The elephant is almost 20 feet from Kolson whose visibly starting to freak out (10 feet) when suddenly a flash appears where the elephant was and the lights go out for half a second both the elephant and Kolson are gone. Where they once were appears Vlad the clown with a toy elephant and a toy human that appears to be Kolson. The audience cheers!

Vlad:
Oh are you wondering where the young man is? Look up!

The audience looks up and someone is floating in the air in a chair that appears to be Kolson and the audience applauds again Vlad has done it again a great show!

As the audience leaves the clowns are already preparing for there next performance later tonight! Vlad laughs as he has captured another person right under the noses of everyone in attendance.

yay that sounds great! Jeannie jumps up and down excited at the idea of more ice cream. you got super powers neat,that'll come in handy when we go after the bad guys! So while Jeannie and her new friend talk about their plans there approached by a man who starts asking questions.

Huh, he was watching them for awhile she noticed him  on the bench. Guess he was waiting to see if the were after the same clown.
She looks at the notebook he held out for them huh no, I've been here all day,you sure have been busy mister that's a lot of spots,how exactly did you determine this places to search? Jeannie looks curiously at the man's list I was thinking circus,fairs, and fun houses would be where clowns would hide

Well, this sure is nice I'd bump into two guys looking for the saw clown Ok we should team up we'll go to guy #1's hotel room and use it as are base and can discuss our plans while snacking on ice cream! Guy number #2 you can fill us in on the leads you got since your father along with your investigation.   Then will decide which spot on your list we should look into next. Oh yeah I'm Jeannie and it's nice to meet you guys,what's your names? would like something other than  guy one and two Jeannie waits for the guys to respond while pondering what kinda ice cream to get.

(OOC: due to the long period of time that has elapsed without a post from Zathos we the remaining members of the thread have unanimously decided to skip him.)

"The video that was released against the wishes of the police had a bell ringing in the background, most like a church bell, a clock bell, or perhaps an older school with a bell as such I have been searching areas with any kind of bell". Jubal answered calmly and with logic aimed at the reasoning behind where he was looking, "I believe that circuses, fairs, and festivals are too crowded, if someone were to accidentally stumble upon the clown's activities it would reveal his location". He once again explained his reasoning in a calm way before listening to her say that she and the guy should team up with Jubal because three was better than one or two, his brow furrowed a little as he thought this was not a good idea at all. If his current actions were any indication of his usual attitude this man was just interested in sleeping with Jeannie which didn't make for good partner material in such involving life and death, perhaps he was misjudging the man but first impressions were lasting ones.

"My name is Jubal and while it is nice to meet you Jeannie I do not believe that going to a hotel will yield any results, going there to talk seems a bit fruitless when we can travel to the next location while talking at the same time". There was no room for argument with his tone because this was what he was going to do, if one of them or both of them wanted to tag along he wasn't going to stop them from doing so, however regardless of what they said they would not convince him to do anything else. "I will be taking my leave to the next location, this location is next to a carnival of sorts so it has the most likely chance of resulting in a possible sighting or discovery" he gave a little bow with his head before turning on his heel to leave "if you wish to come with me I do not mind" he left that hanging there as he began to walk away.

huh,yeah that sounds like a good idea Mr.jubal!I can help you find bells I got really good hearing. You most be a really good detective to figure all that stuff out from just a video. let's go get the bad guys!  Jeannie jumps up excited and down excited.

She then notices she's wearing  her swimsuit oopsy hold on just a minute I'm  a little underdressed for bad guy chasing be right back. She goes into a nearby store then returns now wearing a Hawaiian shirt and blue jean shorts and carrying an ice cream cone wanting to get a snack for the road.

Munching on her snack she skips along following Jubal.

Kolson wakes up and he's in a room surrounded by dolls he looks around and notices that he's tied up.

Kolson:
Hmmm what is this, where am i? (Kolson tries to use his powers but he's been out for so long he needs to recharge) Well then.

Kolson surveys the room he notices his bag sits in the corner with his super-suit and pills inside. His suit which was made by the late great Edna Mole has done well to protect him during his adventures. He then focuses on the dolls they just stare at him Kolson then pulls at his bondings duct tape. He struggles trying to get free, but it's not really working. He gives up and just kind of waits around for the kidnapper to meet him.

Meanwhile the second show at the carnival is being set up. The clown becomes happy with his catch today he gained a meta.

"There is no need for the mister Jeannie, makes me feel old anyways" he said with a little chuckle following, in truth he was glad that she decided to join him as he hadn't really interacted with people in a long time. "If I were actually a really good detective I would have already found the clown before he takes someone else hostage" he said with a bit of self depreciation, he was somewhat annoyed that he hadn't managed to discover the clown's hiding place yet but instead of constantly worrying about that he soldiered on. He paused outside of the store waiting for her to get changed giving her a little smile as she came back out in a tacky hawaiian shirt "well you never know Jeannie you might have been able to distract the clown in your bathing suit and with your lovely figure" he teased before beginning to walk again.

The location that they arrived at turned out to be destroyed, they had done the demolition a day ago so all that was left was the rubble of the building, with a light sigh he pulled out the notebook and crossed out the site's name, the little church was a good bet but nope. "Another one down and more time wasted" he said with a slight curl of his lips revealing white teeth, he closed the notebook a little harder than usual as he was more than annoyed now, the sounds of the carnival within walking distance could be heard as if mocking him. He imagined the smiling face of a clown and he had the urge to hit something hard, he closed his eyes taking in a deep breath and then another before opening up his eyes "it would appear that I'm not even a decent detective as it'll be days before I even find a hint of the clown at this rate" he said while stuffing the notebook into his back pocket.

It was just about now that he heard a bell ringing in the distance, his eyes turning towards the carnival "I know that bell" he half mumbled before suddenly taking out his phone to play the video that had been released. He skipped to the part of the video where the bell was ringing, maybe it was just in his head but he felt like they sounded almost exactly the same, he played the video again towards Jeannie "that sound the same to you or is it just me thinking that?" he asked in a curious tone. Maybe he was just clutching at straws and wishing that they sounded the same, after all who could really differentiate between the sound of bells he thought to himself, unfortunately his abilities with sound did not encompass being able to do such a thing.

Jeannie giggles amused at the idea of her in a bathing suit as a distraction will could work. Her in a revealing outfit does grab the attention of most males and some females.ow that's such a nice thing to say,your sweet. well, I still got it on under this clothes if we need to try that plan she gives him a thumbs up.

So they go about checking the places on his list dead ends and Jubal seems discouraged she have to cheer him up.it's not a total loss we now know one more place his not so where getting closer ! She listens to the video he wants to know about the sounds of the bells. huh let's see ding dong ding dong yup the same bell,they sound alike,and vibrate the same so made out of the same stuff,huh there sounds like it's crowded you can hear people in the background. And some circus-sounding music also sounds like machines too,your guess about the about the carnival Jubal sounds like the rides at a fairy. We should check it out and maybe get some cotton candy! I love fairs we could ride some rides too well I guess we probably should find the missing people first huh?
