The SHRP Character Soundtracks

Post by Red Ring on May 4th 2017, 10:02 pm

Yeah. The title.

Basically, we set up a soundtrack for each of our characters, choosing ideally at least 2 or 3 different songs. Please keep the area neat and tidy by spoilering your choices, other than that, go wild.

I'll come up with Red Ring's eventually.

Re: The SHRP Character Soundtracks

Post by Martyr on May 5th 2017, 1:13 am

Alright, so. Let's try this.

Spoiler:
Jenny by Nothing More

Jenny signifies - at least to me - someone dragging their loved ones down through their actions. For Martyr, the person singing is his own conscience arguing with itself and trying to get him to go one way or another.

Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant

It should be obvious. Listen to the song, it's pretty great.

Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park

While I don't always show it in my writings with Martyr; when he DOES die, he wants to be remembered as someone who did something good, even if it was through a terrible method. Martyr doesn't want to be a super villain; but he's feeding his family with it. He will never not want to be a good person, but... he can't be a hero.

Nobody Praying for Me by Seether

Okay, with this one. Martyr is having some identity issues. He can't tell if he's the hero in the story, or the monster. Recent events have led him towards Monster over Martyr.

Paradise Lost by Hollywood Undead

Martyr has daddy issues.

World War Me by Theory of a Deadman

Similar to Nobody Praying for Me

For My Sake by Shinedown

From the perspective of his mother

And finally,

Mama by My Chemical Romance

Martyr faces some real facts.

Going Out In Style - Dropkick Murphys another band Jeannie likes cause there wild and fun
she's a rainbow by the rolling stones= fun song that fits jeanie's bubbly personality and colorful wardrobe

Re: The SHRP Character Soundtracks

Sewer's Tracks:
"Monster" by Skillet is an obvious one, as Sewer routinely struggles with the desires of the lizard brain and considers himself a monster, no matter how much good he does in the dark of NYC.

"She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby would be for Sewer's sense of humor.

I'll have to think for more.

Re: The SHRP Character Soundtracks

The Demonic Dire:

Dysfunctional by Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, and Big Scoob
This song is more about his internal struggle with being a merc for life. He has grown to hate killing for his devil. The chorus really hooked me on this one.
Out of my Mind by B.O.B and Nicki Minaj
This is about his personality as The Demonic Dire in costume. He acts like a jackass and embraces the fact everyone thinks [as the name says] out of his mind.
Kill Shit by Krizz Kaliko, Twista, and Tech N9ne
This is for Dire's "killing sprees". This is just for when he is slamming through a group of henchmen or goons.
Phenomenal by Eminem
This is his heroic boss battle music. When he takes the heroic road and his fighting a villain.
Chainsaw Symphony by Lo Key
This is his villainous boss battle music. He has taken the dark road and is fighting a hero.
Pony by Ginuwine
This is when is being "romantic"... More like sexual on purpose. Whether it's for a distraction or annoyance... He's... There... Doing it...
Night Changes by One Direction
One thing that adds to the misconception of Malik/Dire being insane, is the fact he would use his wonderful voice on this song...
SPECIAL OCCASIONS
Almost Famous by Eminem
This is for if H.A.M were to go against a very large threat... Like... Universe ending... Yeah...
Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
Jesus... I said this wouldn't be here... The beginning ONLY is for when Rozmer and Dire go to fight Errtu for his freedom.
