The Battle in Georgia Empty The Battle in Georgia

Post by Forceaus January 15th 2012, 10:56 pm

In his neverending quest to become the world's greatest warrior, Caleb Crauss had made his way to the southern parts of Georgia after hearing a rumor of a businessman who was also a skilled warrior. After much time and effort including getting lost on a couple occasions he had arrived at his destination. The compound was massive. He didn't understand why people sought such a thing as luxury, nor did he really care

1 of the guards addressed him as he was arriving."State your business."

"I am Gadius."He decided to use the name granted to him by his admirers. He didn't know where they came up with it but still it worked for him so he used it."I've come to meet the owner of this place."

The security guard seriously considered this guy to be crazy but called Price anyways to inform him

Price lounged lazily at his desk. It had been nearly a week since he had left the compound, and he was hurting to go out and explore.

Suddenly, the intercom blared, disrupting his solitude.

Mr. Price, there is a traveler here to see you. Should we send him through?

Travelers at this late hour? Maybe it could mean getting out to do something. He answered.

Send him in.

He leaned back in his chair again, drinking a glass of water. The finer luxuries of life often came with it's perks. One such was pure spring water. Nothing tasted better, save champagne, in his opinion. Mindy leaned against his desk. Though old, the cane was made of redwood. It had survived nearly 12 years of use, and it was his most prized possession.

The guard turned back to him and stated"You're clear to enter.I'll escort you in"The guard walked down from his post as the security door opened. He kept his hand near his weapon at all times.
Caleb was relieved. He had been planning on entering by force. Now knowing he won't have to.He walked towards the mansion with the guard who was having to hurry just to keep up.The guard led him to the private chamber of Wright Price.
"Here we are."The door opened.Caleb walked right in and started directly at the man he sought.

Post by Wright Price January 15th 2012, 11:18 pm

Price never moved from his chair. He was too relaxed to genuinely care. The traveler walked in. He didn't seem very old. Judging by his composure, as well as the black gi he wore, he was obviously a martial artist, evident by the black belt. The thought of his old masters filled his mind. Maybe this was an old student seeking revenge. Whatever his purpose, he was honorable. If not, he would've broken in, not waltzed right to the front gate.

Name's Wright Price. Take a seat.

He motioned for one of the guards to bring a glass of water to the traveler.

So what brings you here to Casa Del Wright?

Post by Forceaus January 16th 2012, 4:23 pm

When the man asked him to take a seat Caleb took his time before finally doing so.He wasn't used to such courtesy. It had been a long time since anyone was generous to him without reason. He continued to stare at the man as he sat down

"You may call me Gadius."He said rather suddenly.

He thought of how this man may react to what he was about to say.He wasn't like most of the people he had defeated. He believed he had finally encountered a true opponent.Or at least he hoped. He did not know which
After a pause he spoke again

"I am on a mission and have come to this place because of that mission."

He sat there continuing to stare at the man.

Post by Wright Price January 16th 2012, 4:30 pm

Great, Price thought. It was only a matter of time before one of his old master's students came looking for him.

Well, I'm honored that my mansion is a part of that mission. Let me ask you something. You're obviously a martial artist. What possible mission could you be here for?

He wasn't the least bit worried. After 30 years of fighting, he had never lost. To have even gone as far as killing his four Sensei's, he knew this would be no issue for him. But he didn't want to act rash, either. Despite his arrogant facade, he was always alert. Price was no fool, he merely played the part well.

Post by Forceaus January 16th 2012, 4:44 pm

Caleb closed his eyes for a moment thinking. He was still an honorable man to some degree. He always made sure a proper challenge was laid down first. This would be no different. He then opened his eyes.He wanted to see his reaction to what he was about to say.It would determine what would happen next more then anything else

"I know you too are a martial artist. That's why I know you'll understand. My mission is simple. It's to be the greatest. In order to complete this mission I must defeat other greats. All the other greats no matter how great they be."He gauged his immediate reaction before standing up"So then I challenge you to combat?Do you accept?

Caleb now waited for an answer. He wondered if it would be what he expected

A wide grin spread across Price's face. What a fun turn of events. This actually solved his boredom problem perfectly. He stood up, extending his hand towards Gadius.

Sir, I accept your challenge. Though I have to warn you, if your quest is to defeat the greatest fighters in the world, it ends here.

This was going to be a breeze, he thought. Who knows, if he was lucky, Gadius would teach him a few moves. Price beamed at the thought.

What do you propose the rules of this challenge are?

Caleb was pleased that the man seemed so excited about this though he hid it completely. He loved it when opponents underestimated him.It made his victories ever so greater. He shook the man's hand but quickly let go.

"The rules are simple.1 on 1.The winner is the one who defeats the other. Are these terms agreeable to you?"

Caleb awaited a response. He kept his compusore making sure nothing let slip

Post by Wright Price January 16th 2012, 5:19 pm

Price smiled at the one rule.

That's perfect. Although, we will keep the fight hand-to-hand. I would really hate to get blood in my dojo.

He turned, opening the door that rested behind his desk. The room was massive, easily comparable to a college basketball stadium.

He unfastened his jacket, sliding it onto a nearby coat rack. Shirtless, he kicked off his shoes and stepped into the middle of the ring. It felt good to be doing this again.

Whenever you are ready, we may begin.

Post by Forceaus January 16th 2012, 5:28 pm

When Caleb saw the dojo he became semi nostalgic. It resembled the one he grew up and trained in quite alot.It made him even more determined to win.
Caleb stepped forward into the dojo.He took his shoes as etiquette required him to do.He still remembered the rules his master had drilled into his mind.
He stood facing the man bowing ever so slightly making sure not to take his eyes off him.He was wary of deception. He didn't trust him in the slightest. He didn't trust anybody to be honest.
He assumed his battle position"Make the first move.I insist."

Price smiled. He loved going first. Taking a breath, he surged forward, bringing his foot forward, he spun on hit, bringing the heel of his other foot towards the other mans chest. The rush and adreniline of the movement made him exstatic. He figured he would start with his favorite fighting style. The first he had mastered, Muay Thai came second nature to him.

Caleb knew exactly how to defend. His height advantage came into play early. His opponent had to reach upwards for this attack making it easier to defend. He grabbed the man's foot as he stepped aside and pulled him forward causing him to lose control over his momentum. His reach advantage would also come into play.Having an over 7 foot wingspan helped him immensely in battle. He struck at the man's face with his elbow while continuing to pull him forward.

Price couldn't help but laugh as the man countered him. Quickly, he lifted his ground foot, allowing himself to fall back and dadge the elbow. Twisting around and planting his hands on the ground, he kicked out against Gadius, aiming his foot for the man's hands.
