Fearless Vampire Slayer Shauna

Shauna remained on guard at all times, as she watched the regenerating monster's limbs fly in different directions. The pitiful thing fell to the ground, the plasma blades leaving his limbs burnt stumps that could not regrow.

She holds the crackling, glowing blade to Demetrius's face. She attempts one last time to communicate, though she had already decided the monster would die by her hand tonight. "You haven't said a word, you know. Can you even talk? I'll hear you out, if you got anything to say at all. At the very least what I put on your tombstone." She said with final finality.

Last words? What she asked rung around his head. He rolled over on his back and tried extremely hard to sit up. He instinctively knew that he was going to die, so after a long minute of trying to think of what to say, he replied "Me never wanted this" with some time between each word. "I no know what happened, it all blur." Light from the blades were illuminating his face and a single tear was seen falling down his face before he hung his head down, waiting for death.

Shauna lowered her blade slightly. There was hint of regret in her stutter but she knew these types. She didn't know his story... but at the same time, She knew all their stories. They never really want it. Some times, you just weren't in control. Shauna had met enough people to know, there were never really villains, only victims. Still, the danger he posed was real.

"Then. I hope you can find peace in death, where you had none in life. Close your eyes. You won't feel this one coming." Shauna said. Then she remembered one more thing. "What's your name?"

Demetrius did as she said and closed his eyes. Memories rushed over him. He remembered being taken away to an orphanage due to his mother being killed and his father being taken to jail to face the death sentence and all the times he got bullied because of it. He remembered trying to be the apple that fell far from the tree, but, due to a string of unfortunate events, didn't go far. After spending years in jail, he broke free when he manifested these powers. Now that death was so close, he regretted doing all he did. He should've just starved to death instead of hurt those innocent people, but he did, and he can't take that back anymore.

He breathed in and out slowly, waiting for the blade to take his life.

The blade would connect with the pain center of Demetrius's brain, cleanly lobbing off his head from the upper jaw and above. The deed done, Shauna stood quiet for a length of time to contemplate her actions, trying to avoid overthinking it. She activates her helmet communicator.

"Agent 7. Threat's been neutralized. Saw to it personally. No other threats on the island."

"Confirmed. Thank you, Shauna."

Shauna cremated him after, and scattered his ashes beneath a large tree out of the way. She grabs a large rock and lays it down on the spot, using her laser eyes to carve a final inscription. Once she finished, she flew off the Island, letting the authorities handle the dead teenagers.

"Demetrius. Born on a Monday."
