A Phantasmic Shrine Visit

I n f o r m a t i o n

Reason for this quest:
Kirby Kendall always wondered about his lineage, but he had no idea where to start. His mother recently told him of her discovery: That Half Phantoms are of Japanese origin, that they are a myth within Japanese lore. Eager to find the mysteries surrounding his lineage, he rushes to Japan, hoping to find some information. He meets a Shinto Shrine Priest, who informs him that underneath a shrine in the Japanese countryside, there is a secret passage that has never before been discovered, he wishes to bring those who are knowledgeable of the paranormal to explore the underground levels with him. Kirby was not the only person contacted for this exploration. Others were invited to join in the exploration as well.

Explanation of quest
This quest is like an exploration into a ruin, why your character explores the shrine is up to him or her, but must have a great understanding of occult knowledge in order to be considered for an invite from the shrine priest, or at least a large curiosity of Japanese architecture and hist. (5+ Occult/Intelligence) All are welcome, but not too many people are able to join. (4 max participants, first come first serve basis, if they meet the stat requirement.)

Basically, you should:

Task 1
Meet with the shrine priest and delve into the depths of the shrine.
Task 2
Look for any history and lore with the underground shrine, maybe even pick up magical items.
Task 3
Relay any information you learn to the priest.

Other Information
This is not a mission to take simply, not only can your character's actions reveal some history about Japan, but even affect some of the lives of the participants forever. Being outrageous with your power may even destroy the shrine, which could kill all who are inside.

Miscellaneous information
This will probably be the first time ever meeting a half phantom. Even with a high occult, your character might not know much about them, especially since there are only two in the world and they hardly know about their origin themselves!
