Whale Watching... and Aliens! - Page 2 Empty Re: Whale Watching... and Aliens!

Something seemed wrong with the whale, well other than the fact he kind of rammed into them at any rate, and that was the fact that they kind of spontaneously died. Which was strange since he only tackled them and it took more than that to kill a whale, so what exactly was going on? Within an instant something happened, their insides burst from their bellies and blood was suffusing the water, kind of ruining visibility. Sean narrowed his eyes as he skittered back within the water, trying to adapt to what was happening, as a strange sonic roar emanated through the salt water. It was a rather ear splitting sound, one that forced Sean to press his own hands to his ears and grind his teeth together, grumbling lowly to himself as he found himself barely irritated. All he knew was that he wanted to end the painful screaming that was boring into his ears, agitating the male more than anything.

With a mental command, Sean forced the water around him to twist, as the blood within it seemed to only follow the command that he was giving, forming a powerful vortex around him. Those above the water would see what was happening, a sort of whirlpool forming within the ocean as the rather angry dragon unleashed the full measure of his hydrokinetic prowess, not sparing anything as far as unadulterated power was concerned, even the dinosaurs would find themselves being dragged into this dangerous formation. If they were to be dragged into this maelstrom of destruction, then flesh would begin to tear under the great pressure that Sean was exerting, he had no intentions of letting these things hurt him and get away with it, especially with the whole bursting from whales thing, which now made the water stink of whale guts.

Whale Watching... and Aliens! - Page 2 Empty Re: Whale Watching... and Aliens!

Post by The Nekromonga March 9th 2014, 10:29 pm

The zombie-like creatures, possessing neither intellect nor a sense of self-preservation, were halted in their tracks by the supernatural fog. They continued to struggle, until their limbs fell off and the flesh on their bodies were peeled back, inching their way closer to Helia until they physically could not do so anymore. With persistence However, one zombie stopped within inches of Helia, bloody fingers trying to grasp at her, until rigor mortis set it. The stench of sea, blood and guts likely filled her nose.

Screams erupted from the upper decks, as some of the zombies below had climbed up through the broken port holes. Helia's situation only worsened when the zombies she impaled began to twitch again, their heads exploding in a shower of gore and bone, some form of evil alien jelly fish forcing their way tentacles first out of the zombies. The zombie bodies fell to the floor limp and headless, and now Helia had to contend with four of these jelly fish creatures, the real evil that dwelt inside the zombies. The one closest to her lashed out at Helia, tentacles armed with paralyzing toxins, wanting to make her a host.

Meanwhile in the water, Sean's vortex quickly ruin the Sea Rexes' concentration, unable to aim their sonic blasts at him, and roaring in pain as the pressure crushed their bones and flensed their skin. However, they proved incredibly tenacious, their artificially induced berserk states allowing three of them to overcome their pain and leap at Sean with snapping jaws...

Xia had transformed into her mighty hunting dragon form, and contended with three Sea Rexes, and her approach was more simple and crude- bite down and shake the Sea Rex, breaking through the surface of the water and flying high up to deal with her enemies piecemeal. She bit down extremely hard into its neck until her enemy stopped struggling, though by leaving the water her two other adversaries had the time to begin attacking the Ship itself.

Whale Watching... and Aliens! - Page 2 Empty Re: Whale Watching... and Aliens!

Post by creator March 10th 2014, 8:11 pm

Helia had a choice at the moment, she could run up the steps and get at the zombies above, or she could try to stop the jelly fish things here and leave the innocents above to die. Helia took a deep breath then was engulfed in her fog as it rushed upwards and flung her towards the zombies. Two people were on the ground bleeding out and helia knew what the results would be if she left them.

"Duck!!" She yelled as the mist around her dispersed and impaled everything around her.

The shot through the zombies like they were paper and then crushed there body before those zombie things could sprout those jelly fish things. As helia landed she fell onto her side, but what scared her was the fact that she didn't feel the fall in her leg. She looked down and saw a reddish purple bruise run across her leg. The jelly fish things floated upwards from the stairs then rushed towards helia. Helia's eyes bulged at the speed but she couldn't move. Partially because her leg was numb at the moment and partially because the civilians were behind her.

A chainsaw appeared in her hand as she propped herself up before swinging the roaring weapon. The chains detached and surged forward towards the jelly fish.

Whale Watching... and Aliens! - Page 2 Empty Re: Whale Watching... and Aliens!

Post by Arcana March 15th 2014, 9:56 pm

Sean watched the things attempt to swim through the deadly maelstrom, one that they would be unable to fully survive swimming through. They survived however, bloody and broken as they were, still swimming towards Sean at a commendable pace, though they were perhaps still too weak to survive a fight with the dragon within human form. Water did not resist when he attempted to move and in fact it only seemed to aid him within that movement, as his fist glided through the liquid and slammed into the face of one of the thing. There was the silent sound of bone crunching within the water, some blood spurting from within the flesh that was damaged. One of them bit down onto Sean, attempting to tear through the powerful flesh, yet nothing happened. It could not break through the skin, not even make Sean feel uncomfortable as it attempted to tear off his arm.

With a flex of his arm, Sean tore the limb from the things mouth, and then backhanded the beast once again. More water began to move around Sean, and within an instant blades of water tore through the enemies that were charging upon him snapping with jaws that could have torn through normal flesh. With that done he pushed backwards with the control over water that he wielded and seemed to burst from it, landing upon the side of the ship as he watched the chaos that was unfolding. The dragon was dripping wet, and covered only by his tail as the male looked over the chaos with curious silver eyes. There was the sound of a chainsaw and then something being ripped through, as one of the mindless leapt towards Sean, who backhanded them swiftly.

’Well well well, what is this?”

Whale Watching... and Aliens! - Page 2 Empty Re: Whale Watching... and Aliens!

Post by The Nekromonga March 16th 2014, 11:21 am

Helia's attack connected with the floating Jellyfish, glowing the faint light of psychic energy as it levitated through the air, even as the chainsaw ripped through its tentacles and into its soft, spongy body. Its tentacles reflexively lashed out and stung one last time, in a death throes. Its demise released pheromones that attracted more jellyfish and zombies; at least, by drawing the zombies away, the people being attacked had more time to flee to the upper deck, towards the reinforced bridge. Sea zombies were shot to bits by the courageous crew, who covered their passengers' retreat by forming a firing line.

These things weren't affected by a few bullets, so it took many dozens of them to bring them down. Controlled and precise gunfire rang across the deck, bringing down the reanimated passengers. A couple of riflemen took shots at the distresed Helia's closing enemies, giving her a precious window of time to recover or act.

A few passengers running on the bridge avoid Sean as he suddenly materialized on deck and sent a female zombie in bikini flying and tumbling into the steel railing, its limbs broken and twisted at disturbing angles. Her body slowly twitched, then her skull cracks open, the poisonous jellyfish launching itself recklessly at Sean.

Xia finished dealing with her own Sea Rexes, tossing them high into the air and using her tail to launch them far out to sea. Her method took a bit longer than Sean did, and cost her a few minor scrapes. She flies by the deck, sending a score of sea zombies and psychic jellyfish overboard. She flies far and high with her speed, having to circle around a fair distance for another flyby. She couldn't land on the ship in her size after all.

The Terror attack was slowly being averted, as the deck hand only a dozen or so more zombies and jellies, the rest in the water, as the ship finally came to life and began moving, though slowly.

Beneath the waves, concealed by alien cloaking technologies, The presence of two of the rare dragon species at the scene was a thing of great occasion. Deep in their dark craft, amidst darkness, they called for reinforcements, as this opportunity could not pass. They released squid drones into the water where the Sea Rexes were slain, hoping to recover some small sample of DNA of the dragon.

Meanwhile, the elongated front of the Terror Ship began to generate a dark portal, and through it, a most dark and terrible creature swam through followed by three lobstermen. The swift moving aquatics made their way to the ship, propelling themselves to keep pace; their leader observing the battle through its thralls, keeping his distance and observing the metahumans... biding its time.

Helia let tendrils of fog rushed towards the distressed passengers and protected them from incoming creatures. She made sure that there was nothing left of them as she rushed into a safer spot. Just as she began to regain her footing a familiar face jumped out the boat. Helia smiled then scanned sean as the obvious was recognized. She rolled her eyes then spun towards a fallen zombie passenger. She pulled off some swim trunks soaked in spots with blood.

"I think you might need this." She said as she shoved the shorts towards him.

Emerging from the skull of the fallen zombie was a strange jellyfish, one that launched itself at Sean with a curious fervor. The dragon reached out with one hand and took hold of the jellyfish within his hand, putting a significant amount of force within the hand and crushing the being between his fingers with a sickening squish. ”Ew, what is this thing?” Sean muttered before hearing a rather familiar voice call out to him, head snapping to the source of the voice. A red head was aboard the vessel, tossing him a pair of blood splattered swimming shorts, ones that he quickly snapped up and slipped into without a single hitch of motion. With that done his draconic tail could do more than just serve as some form of covering, lazily moving about as Sean stepped down onto the deck and looked to the carnage about him, the smell of blood fresh everywhere.

With a flick of the wrist, he cleaned his hand of the strange jelly that was coating it. ’Much better.” Sean muttered crossing arms over his chest as he walked along the deck.

With the Terror attack now averted, Xia hovered above the deck, blowing the sea wind into people's faces. She landed and thanks the two present metahumans for their aid... Xia turns to the people huddled on the top deck, the remaining survivors. Most of them were her classmates.

The people looked on in silence. They had been saved, but the horrors they had seen had traumatized them, especially Xia's classmates. Their face said it all- all this time such a monster was studying with them, laughing, going to kareoke, having fun... and now... it seemed they didn't know what to make of Xia. They huddled together, all staring at her, and staying back when Xia approached them.

"Claire... Brittany... Valerie...?" Xia tried to call out to her friends. At least, the people whom she thought were her friends. They took another step back. Xia was hurt far more deeply than the Sea Rexes' bites every could.

They didn't have much to say for the other two saviors either.

The crew remained coherent. They radio'd in that the ship was all clear. The officer on deck, a woman, approached Xia. "...Xia... and you two... should probably stay out here while we bring people inside."

The naval officers herd the people into the bridge, leaving the metahumans outside in the aftermath of the attack.

Helia watched as the actuality of the situation hit her classmate. She seemed very distressed now that she had been rejected by her classmates. Helia looked around then walked over to her as the others were herded below deck.

"Hey missy don't get down, if you quit now you'll never be able to...possibly talk to your friends again." She said with a smile.

The carnage had been averted, much to the hard work of Sean and some other female aboard the vessel that was there for the sport of watching whales. With that done, Sean considered going his own way, but then again this was his only chance to interact with a fellow dragon; something that he could not pass up. However turning to appraise the dragon, he took note of the humans and how they looked at her, as if she were some kind of monster. Were they supposed to be the females friends? Sean cocked his head to the side and let out a low growl as his tail seemed to whip angrily. Humans were weak pathetic creatures, always fearing that which was unknown to them. ”Typical human reaction, they fear the unknown. The three would be left outside, metahumans to be feared it would seem. He tries to help and all he got in return was the fear of the people, showed how much him doing good helped. ”So, what brings a dragon like yourself here? Whale watching, or is there something else?” He would ask, trying to begin some kind of conversation with Xiao.

Xia was upset, that was for sure. She didn't like to be idle and brood on it and decided to grab a hose to wash the purple alien blood and guts off the decks. She sighed and took a moment before addressing her fellow metahumans.

"...This was supposed to be our graduation trip... whale watching, environmental conservation." She turned up the hose pressure to watch the guts slowly slough off the decks. "But now... these aliens... they show up everywhere, pose a danger to everything. I feel like I'm cursed. How am I going to face my classmates? my dead friends' parents?"

She sighed. Xiao felt terrible about herself, but she felt an odd disconnect towards her classmates, like she didn't quite feel too broken up about it. "But... thank you for your help, you two. I suppose they'll be turning this ship around now."

"Hey you know you can at least try to be a gentlemen and give her a hand with the washing and the water." Helia spoke to sean.

"No problem and yeah they probably will turn the ship around." She said as she flipped her hair behind her.

She then thought about how that stuff was over already.

"Hey...don't you think it was a little too easy?" She said out loud as she looked out to sea.

Sean drunk in the feeling of death around him, the nether that was offered by the bodies that had been created by the strange alien beings, invisible energy feeding him."But i'm no gentleman and I find no reason to help." Sean noted, resting against one of the railings, water sloshing about against the side of the boat, some of it spilling over and washing away any stray guts that had found itself within the reach of the water. Sean was not the type to be given orders,m especially by someone that was inferior to him. "They should turn this ship around, if they have any sense anyway." He noted, crossing arms over his bare chest, before running fingers through his now soaked dark brown hair, silver eyes narrowing into slits for a moment."So those things are a common thing for you? Sounds kinda like they're stalkin you."

"I wish it were just that, Helia. But how could they track me?" Xia wondered about that too. She'd been involved in far too many attacks for it to be coincidence.

"Well... I'll have to ask Ellie about it when I get back..." She muttered, then looked at Sean. She went over to her bag hanging on the wall and retrieved her phone, using it for a moment before speaking again with the dragon. "I don't see many dragons around. Do you know Yam by any chance?"

The atmosphere was quiet now, with only a few crew walking around, and one soldier helping Xia by using a broom on the alien guts. Alot of fish were attracted to the smell of the blood, and they began feeding on it.
