Today was an optimal day. Good to pull off a little plan. Something Elena had in mind for a while now. Especially with her new plaything. Not too long ago she found an interesting scroll. Most of the spells weren't worth anything. Just minor magics her current spells outclassed. Though one caught her attention. It seemed interesting. A sort of control spell. Something she needed to further her goals. Though plenty of tools were at her disposal as it was. She still wanted more. After all "heroes" always seemed to come out on top. Reason being noone is fully prepared for it. Not like Elena was an average "villan". All of what she did was part of a larger plan. Something that would soon peice together.

Elena strode through the front door of a building. Large about 50 stories high. Sauntersing throught he entrance area. Flanked by Huntress and Phillip. Her hair was a strange jet black. Eyes a peircing blue. She wore a stylish fitting black dress that cut off six inches abover her knees.Siver bangles jingled on her wrist. While silver rings clacked against eachother. Huntress wore a simple tank top. Tight fitting blue jeans, with furry boots that went up to her knee. Brown hair flowing onto her shoulders. Green eyes scanning the room. Phillip wore a simple button up shirt. Sleves rolled up, and loose fitting blue jeans. Brown hair neatly combed. They were on a misson today. A simple one. They had a few things to "Borrow" from this facility. Elena gave a silent signal. As Huntress took off . Phil still next to her. While her new puppet Frost she wanted to stay by her side. How fun it was to have the one who thought they killed you as your little toy.

Huntress took quick strides to her destination. A large room filled with multiple moniters. Huntress slowly crept into the room. Pulling out a slim 1 and a half foot katana from her boot. Slipping it into the throat of the man in a small seat. As he died blood gurgling in his throat. Quickly Huntress took control. Shutting down every security camera in the building. Deleting every bit of footage they recorded for the day. Now it was all set. Witht hat she jabbed the blade intot he consol. As sparks leapt from it. Keeping anyone from turning the cameras back on. In a fulld ashs he returned to the lobby. Twisting the ring on her left index finger. As a high pitched sound came from it. People clutched their ears. Elena and Phillip did the same. Though they had smug grins across their faces. While everyone held theyre ears Phillip dashed around the room. Puncing them out. With efficient speed. WHen done Elena snapped. "I suppose thats all done." She walked to the elavator. Pressing the button for the 46'th floor. As the lift slowly decended. As Huntress motioned for the puppet hero to follow. Still confused why they didn't have him do anything yet. Maybe a more sinister plan was saved for him? Unaware of the nice little silent alarm that alerted the police from all around. They would soon be there. As well as a few pain in the ass heroes.[/color]

Frost followed the woman with the katana into the elevator once the doors opened, he obeyed every command any one of the evil people gave him. He could not help it, there was just no resisting. He tried to stop the woman from killing the man in the control room but he could only watch on in morbid silence as the blood hit the floor. That was another life on his hands, another person he could not save, another to the ever growing list. He could not even remember how he had be cursed, the last thing Frost remember was patrolling the city and then he was in the large building with these villains following orders.

Every step he took towards the elevator was an act against his mind, Frost mentally screamed at his legs to not do this. He yelled with all of his mental might to his hands to pull water to the people breaking the law, to freeze them where they stood, or to simply try and stop them but it was no use. He was being held hostage in his own body with every second a brutal nightmare. Why had this happened to him?

Today was definitely not going to be a good day. No real surprise there though.

Like puppets on a string Empty Re: Like puppets on a string

Post by Song Mao Ken May 21st 2011, 2:27 pm

Throwing his sheets off his body, he groaned as he sat up, the bending causing him back pain. He put his hand to his back, remembering that day that he was in a big brawl. It wasn't such a good day; his back was badly injured. Along with other parts, but he had time to heal. Rising from his bed, he straightened up the wide white bandage that stretched from his shoulder going around his waist and back over, and pulled on his robes. Entering the small wooden bathroom he built, he used the mirror he found to shave his head with a sharpened blade, without shaving cream, bringing his head from little stubbles to a clean shave again. Doing the other mandatory cleaning processes, he quickly came outside, with another staff he made after the last battle. Exhaling deeply, he savored the winds upon his cheeks, stretching out his arms above his head and putting a smile on his face.

He had just gotten ready for some crime-fighting in New York, but he wasn't going to leave yet. Walking up the hill his house was situated on, he came to the edge of the cliff, looking down on the waves crashing on the rocks below. It was a great view, looking down on the ocean. However, he noticed something light, and many of it, rubbing against his knee caps. Looking down, he noticed the grass was overgrown. Using his manipulation of the wind, he made a cutting motion with his index finger and middle, immediately cutting his whole front lawn. Quite a useful power, he thought, admiring his work. After that, he stopped stalling, and quickly made his way to New York.

Standing on top of a tall building overlooking a small portion of the city, he meditated, his feet crossed and his hands behind his back. Listening for the sound of danger and trouble, he awoke from his meditation to the sound of sirens, going off in the distance. Watching the cars rage down the road below, he jumped down form the building, wondering what was going on, slowing his fall with his twirling staff. Running by the buildings as fast as he could, he followed the track the cars went. Stopping outside a large, tall building of many stories, he marveled at the architecture. Many, many windows, and the front doors a nice, cool metal. Seeing the cops stop in front and point their guns towards the building as one with a megaphone yelled out for whoever was in there to come out with their hands up, Mao approached the police. "I'm going in," he said, confidently. "I'm what you call 'Ventus.'" Running through the spinning doors, the first thing he noticed was the dead person, and the broken console. Probably security. Noticing the elevator lights at the top showing the floor the elevator is at, he figured whoever did this was on their way to a top floor, as the light showed they were at 36.

Ignoring watchful bystanders, he quickly ran outside and shot a gust of wind below him, sending himself flying above. Holding his staff with him, he sprinted up the side of the building, using the wind to keep him up as he shot it down. It took a while, but when he reached the very top of the building, he quickly barged into the door up at the top and ran down a flight of stairs. Stopping silently at the door going to the 48th floor, he quickly ran in, not worrying about the criminals being in there. Looking around, he noticed they weren't there, so he silently crept back, going down some stairs until he came to the 47'th. Nothing but desks and staring people. Going down another, he heard somebody - talking. He stopped in his tracks and listened. Who could it be?

Post by Arcana May 24th 2011, 6:47 pm

The sounds of sirens woke Sean from a peaceful sleep. He lurched from the comfortable hotel bed. Looking around the otherwise dark room. Morning light peircing the windows. It somewhat burned his eyes but he got over it. rolling out fo bed as he reached for the bag that held his clothes. Finally finding it. Slowly unzipping it as he pulled out the regular clothes he wore. Arranging them gingerly on the rough carpet. Eyes drowsy with sleep looked them over. He ddin't really wanna get outta bed today. Maybe just sleep all day, and go out to do some drinking. Yeah that woulda been nice. Maybe make the ache go away.

Sean started by putting ont he black tight jeans with ripped up knees. though it was beginngin to get worn ,and loose. Fabric at the knees sagging some had falle. Leaving not a string of the torn fabric at the knees anymore. A well worn band t-shirt. Symbol on the fron beggining to fade away. Combing down unruly strands of black hair with blonde highlights. Slips smacking together. He put on a pair of clean black ankle sicks he "aquired" earlier. As well as black and white converse he bought a week ago. Tying the string slowly ,and uninterested. Whent hat was done he grabbed the katana laying by his bed. Strapping it to his side. If the police had to be called he would need to be ready. though his mind still wondered why he gave a damn. Quickly he walked out side. Pulling water to him. Forming a wave construct. Jumping on the crest of it. Sean willed it to move. As it glided along the street. Not leaving a trail of water strangely. He followed the sounds of the sirens till he reached the large building.

Police rallying at the front. Apparently this was the place. They parted when seeing the short guy riding the wave. Of course they didn't say it, but they thought it. Most people considered 5'4 short. Sean walked into the building looking around the lobby. Curious mostly about the amount of unconcious people. Examining the elavator. Which indicated that it was heading to the 46th floor. He smiled running back out of the building. Calling more water to him. Forming a torrent around his legs ,and stomach. Lifting him up at a decent speed. Till he reached the 46th floor. Smashing the large transparent window. Jumping throught it allowing the water to fall. Feeling the peircings in his left eyebrow and right side of his lip. Finger tips slowly brushing across each. Greyish eyes scanning the area. Noone to be seen. Not yet anyway.

Like puppets on a string Empty Re: Like puppets on a string

Post by Sul-Fury May 25th 2011, 5:48 pm

Sul's freelancing hero skills never seemed to vanish. Perhaps it was the lack of coordination by his hero group, The Tough Guys. But he wasn't one to point fingers. He knew how difficult the hero business was. It was the reason why so many heroes needed alternate identities. To protect themselves and the ones they care about. However, Sul seemed to follow the same tracks every time. He was going to avenge his fallen friends by seeking out Hurricane.

The resourceful villain had various methods of funding, and had assets who exploited the economic market heavily. However, finding which buildings belonged to Hurricane was much more difficult. Again and again, he frequently stumbled across buildings that had no connection to the mysterious man whatsoever. Looking up at the 50 story building, he had hoped he wasn't wrong again. Entering the building he was met by various staff members seeking to help. He didn't know exactly how to brush them off, so he just asked to use their restroom. The request from someone as large as himself may have came across as intimidating. He might literally destroy the restroom just using it. But they couldn't seem to decline his request.

Heading to the bathroom, he walked along the tile floor thinking of a plan. A man in a suit entered the bathroom in an emergency and ran into one of the stalls, locking the door. Sul got into the stall next to the man and squatted close to the ground. The businessman's pants were on the ground, causing his Identification Card to roll over into Sul's grasp. Grabbing the card and exiting the bathroom, he tried to avoid contact with any others. He headed straight for a flight of stairs. They were quite uncommon to use for most people since they had the convenience of an elevator. Sul slipped past security doors with the stolen identification card.

Running up the stairs, each time he reached a new level he peered out of the window of the door exiting the stairway looking for a security room where he could access some data. On the 15th floor, he peered out the window and saw nobody down the hallways. He opened the door and tiptoed towards a security room. He left the lights off and lurked in the darkness. Accessing a computer, he used the identification number on the card to enter the mainframe. He wasn't too efficient at the use of a computer, using single index fingers to type when searching for any data regarding Hurricane. Something caught the corner of his eye on one of the security feeds. A woman with a katana lunging towards an unsuspecting security officer at the main power station. His eyes widened watching the young man die. Sul sprang from his feet, intensely watching the monitor. Making a quick note of which floor it was before Huntress shut off the security cameras. The screens all went black.

Sul paced quickly towards the staircase. There wasn't any panic, yet. Once he got onto the staircase, he was all alone. He leapt up the staircase rather than rapidly step on them. His muscular legs allowed him to leap the entire set of stairs, before it would curve around and go up another set. He rapidly made progress towards the Huntresses location.

The elavator door opened with a ping. A nice little pleasent ping that all elavator doors make. Well they should anyway. Elena made her way through first. Scanning the area with blood red eyes. Motioning Jack to follow her, Followed by Phil and Huntress. "You two spread out. I don't think i need to repeat what we're looking for." She said in a sweet tone. Some what disarming to those who knew nothing about her. Not that she was "evil". Elena just saw no problem using more draconian methods to get what she wanted. Huntress went off one way. Phillip the other. Elena walked on flanked by Frost. "So what do you think Frost? Is my little spell nice? Oh well i can't expect you to know who i am. After all you did "kill" me not too long ago. Though i suppose my killing your friend was uncalled for. As if you would respond differently for a total stranger." Though she knew he wouldn't answer back. "Though for the fun of it. Tell me what your thoughts are. I'll allow it."

Huntress paced quickly throught he building. Foot falls tapping through the compound. Not a single person to oppose her. Well until her nose picked one up. She clung to a corner. As the man came close. Quickly dispatched as her diamond clawed gloves slit his throat. This was no time to deal with random assholes wanting to ruin the plans set in motion. Elena seeked to return to her former powers. Ones that were not accomidated by that body. So this would be the place they did so. Well then a strange smell came to her nose. She had smelt something like that before. Was it sulfer. Why would sulfer be in a hallway. Curious she crept along. Till she saw the giant rock man. "Fuck." She cursed to herself. Things were not going to be easy.

Phil ran around the expansive building. Eyes scanning for a room that would catch his eyes. He needed to find some device. Something that would return Lady Elena to her former glory. Back to the position she deserved. As the most powerful witch in history. She deserved it in his mind. She took him in when noone else cared to. Was like the mother he desired. He stopped when he sighted a strange man. A monk? Well Phil has seen stranger. So he may as well not be suprised by this. So he waited for the man to make a move. Doing exactly as he learned as an assassin for a change.

He walked through the doors of the elevator, listening to the ding that was meant to tell the blind that it had stopped at a floor not that that would really help since it did not let them know if it were their floor or not. Frost followed the woman everywhere she went, staying no more than one step behind here at all times, it was as though he had no choice and the truth was, he did not. It was a greater torture than he would have ever realized to not be able to control his actions. Every step of this horrendous nightmare was a full-fledged battle for the hero as he tried with all of his mental might to stop himself from doing anything but it was all for naught.

The woman spoke to him and revealed far more information than he would have ever wanted to know. She was Elena? That could not be true. He killed that vile evil bitch of a woman with his own hands. He watched to life leave her eyes. Then she asked him a question, although the bitch had to know that he could not speak, and then she said he could. Frost had only a quick line of dialogue for the woman, something that was quick and straight to the point. “You’re just some evil bitch in my eyes,” was all he said before he silenced himself, although the woman did not say he could not speak anymore.

He knew that the alarms from down stairs had most likely tipped off some heroes in the area. After all they were in New York, the most heavily super powered individual location the world over. Watching the two other people that were following Elena, the witch bitch, had both found something but from the looks of things they had not been seen by whomever it was they had spotted. Doing the only thing Frost could do at that moment, the ability to speak which had been given to him by Elena herself, and yelled as loudly and as quickly as he could before he was silenced by the witch once again, “They know where you are.”

It was not very much but it was the most help he could be at the moment and anything was better than nothing. Frost hoped that he had given the other heroes, whoever they might be, enough to be able to take advantage of the villains that they would be fighting.

Mao put his ear to the door in front of him, leaning against it and crouching as not to be seen through the glass. Barely able to interpret what the man inside had said, he realized that he - or she - is Elena, reborn, most likely, seeing that she had supposedly been killed by Frost. But, Frost? Why would Frost be with her? She badly damaged Mao in their royale, and Frost sure didn't like her. She mentioned something about a spell, and he thought; is he under her control?

When she gave him permission to speak, she made a big mistake. When Frost yelled to tell whoever that they were known, Mao quickly spun around to the site of a man. Is this what Frost was warning him about? Most likely was, but he couldn't just attack on site. What if it was a curious bystander? Could be. Curiously, after stepping away from the door and approaching the mysterious man, he asked, "Who are you?" He couldn't help it, he was curious as to who the hell this guy is.

Preparing himself for anything, he balled his fist and entered a defensive stance as to not be caught off guard, slamming the bottom of the staff on the ground from where he held it near the top, looking like a stature of a guard in some video games... and stuff. Mao intended to look intimidating, and most likely did, seeing as he's obviously a trained monk. "You should leave. This area is not safe."

Sean crept throught he building slowly. Looking around as if he expected someone to pop outta nowhere. Slinking along the walls. Greyish eyes scanning the hallway. It seemed mostly empty. Though he was sure the glass he broke should draw some attention. It was strange not to have anyone rush you. No evil villans ready to kill him? Well this was a let down to say the least. Yet a blessing at the same time. He felt the hilt of the katana at his side warily. Hoping he could just somehow run into the mastermind of this little thing ,and end it. If no heroes were around he could just kill the person. Save himself the trouble of fighting them later. Slowly he peaked around the corner to see two people.

First was the most curious woman. She had the most interesting hair. It as black like the void. Flowing down her back. Skin pale like fresh cream. Eyes a dazzling blue. The way she carried herself reinded himself of his mother. At her side was Jack? What was he doing here? Helping the woman. Maybe she was the one causing all this trouble. So Sean drew his katana. Stepping from where he stood. Pointing it at Elena and Jack. "Hey Jack what the hell is going on here?" Why was the great "hero" Frost helping out a villan. It made no sense. Did she bewitch him. Use a hypnotizing power? Whatever it was. Wasn't good at all.

((OOC:SKipping Sul, sorry Razz))

Elena was pleasantly surprised by Frost's resourcefulness. Maybe that was why she chose him to be her puppet. Well that and his obvious powers. If she didn't have the overcoming urge to slap the boy, which she did. Elena would have congratulated him for his bravery. It brought back a memory she had almost forgotten. A memory of the days long since past. Well more exactly about five years ago for people who cared to count. She didn't always want to do this villan thing. Actually it was the opposite. Elena wanted to be a world class hero. Help people ,and all the nice things heroes did. Well her death somewhat ruined that sweet little aspiration. Dying tends to do that to people. If you ever doubt that. Try dying ,and being forced back into life. Its not exactly an easy thing to adjust to. Kinda painful actually. yet she knew adjusting ,or dying was the only way. Though this new body was even better to use. Well she was ready to move on after a single spoken order. "Thank you for your little comments Frost. Now you could so kindly be quiet for a while. This bitch has work to do." She said each word slowly and concise. Hands brushing down her side. As someone addressed her puppet.

If it were anyone else she wouldv'e launched a killing spell. Yet it wasn't just anyone. It was Sean? Her eyes widened at the sight of him. What was her son doing here? She suddenly lost the facade of self control for a second. Though it quickly rebuilt itself. "Sean its been a while hasn't it? I know you don't recognize me as I am, but I suppose very few can. How have your powers progressed? I can see they are more powerful. It does me joy to see all the training I gave you coming to fruition. Hopefully your father at least listened to what I said when we met. Though hopefully you know about him. Brock I mean." She raised an eyebrow. Sizing up Sean's reaction. As she prepared in case she was forced to fight her own son.

Meanwhile Phil ran into the most troublesome thing. The monk had been alerted to his presence. How the hell did this happen? It was that damn puppet of hers. Though all he had to do was talk his way out of this situation. Then he could go on with his life. Find what was needed to be found. So taking on a disarming expression he tried to lie his way out of this. "Sorry, I was going towards the elevators, but they are blocked by the criminals. So I was hoping to go around and take the stairs down. He said it as convincing as he could. Which to most sounded very convincing. He was hoping the guy bought it. No time to fight when he could be helping lady Elena.
