So maybe the public pool wasn't that bad, but if they're were kids in it then no doubt it was toxic. Someone would probably get pink eye the next day.

Jack laughed. He defiantly had that one coming.

"Nah I don't think so. I was actually out in the desert studying a meteor shower for my science class. One of them landed near me so I went to check it. Soon as I got close to it, I went cold. Woke up in a hospital bed after bed. Then over the next few days I turned into the handsome specimen you see before you."

Charlotte rolled her eyes at the last part, "You're story is much more interesting then mine was." she stated with a soft smile.

"Hey at least your origin is original. Mine sounds like it was stolen out of a comic."

Jack looked off out towards the window into the sky. He began to think about what Harbinger had said. He wondered if the world really was going to come to an end. Whatever was going to happen, Jack would put all his might into stopping it. He was shaken though at the vision he saw.

"Mine was lame and boring,"

She looked at him and she could tell immediately what he was thinking about, "You okay?" She asked quietly, looking out the window also. It was dark already, stars were starting to show up in the sky. Char closed her eyes tight as she thought about everything.

"Nah it wasn't."

Looked like she was able to tell right away that Jack was worried about something.

"I'm just wondering if that bastard, Harbinger was telling the truth. You know, that Earth is going to die."

Jack looked over to her. Her eyes were shut tight. Something had to of been on her mind as well.

"What's on your mind?"

A green liquid flows underneath the door and a small liquidly green head forms from the substance... "who cares whose story is more interesting" Sweet tooth muttered "as long as I get money for bringing Mr. Doe in" the head started growing as more liquid flowed from underneath the doorway until it formed a full body. "now then Mr. Doe if you'd kindly come quietly I wont have to resort to violence" Sweet Tooth's formed mouth said mockingly.

Jack leaped from the chair he was sitting in. There was something strange about the intruder. He smelled like candy. In fact he was living, breathing, talking, candy. Jack thought he had seen some weird things, but this guy took the prize.

"Who the hell are you supposed to be? The Candy Man?"

For some reason, everyone just wanted Jack today. The police, Harbinger, and now a talking jolly rancher.

"now now I dont believe I was talking to you tuts... but I guess theres no harm in telling you two my name" Sweet Tooth's full body formed "Im Sweet Tooth, and your friend here has a $50,000 tag on his head to bring him in to... shall I say... specific people" Sweet Tooth's arm melded into a blade "so back up lady unless you want to get hurt"

That was the second time that day that someone had called her "Lady", she let out a sigh, her voice was even and calm but perhaps maybe a little too calm, "I do believe that I am able to decide whether or whether not I will back away, and I choose... not to," She finished her voice flat.

Some of the plants around her loft started twitching as her temper grew short, but they didn't do anything to this "Sweet Tooth" character.

Sweet Tooth noticed the girl getting a little twitchy, same for the plants in the room"plant control huh..." sweet tooth said while scratching his liquidy chin with his blade arm "back off little miss Gaia, or else i'll make sure your little babies never get another drop of sunlight ever again" Sweet Tooth's arm transformed from a blade into a large pair of scissors, and an evil look swept across his face.

"Sweet Tooth... Well at least it's original."

Jack began to wonder who was after him now. Maybe Sweet Tooth was working for Harbinger. First thing Jack needed to do was lead Sweet Tooth out in the open. He didn't want to fight in close quarters and risk hurt Charlotte.

"Before we take this outside, who do you work for?"

Sweet Tooth's arm transformed back into a fist "outside?" Sweet Tooth pulled a mild chuckle, which then burst out into laughter "no im quite happy right here, and for who I work for... well theres that whole thing of employer confedentiality and such.... plus I don't know... or care as long as I get paid" a huge grin formed across Sweet Tooth's face and his fist melded into a large hammer "So we can either do this the easy way or the hard way" Sweet Tooth stood tall and twisted his head to the side looking at Mr. Doe sarcasticly.

Looks like he wasn't going to leave and he didn't want to take the fight outside. He didn't to really mess up and destroy Charlotte's loft either. Then there was the chance of her getting hurt in the fight. This guy was a real bastard. Jack wasn't going to surrender either.

"Charlotte... get outta here... I can't fight at full potential if you might get hurt."
