The Party Don't Start Til' Someone Dies [Invite Only][DOUBLE XP]

Martyr had been feeling down, nothing had gone right since he left Canada. He wasn't exactly the most stable person to begin with, anyone who has died more than once can tell you it's not a feeling you get past. Martyr had stepped out on the ledge of his  apartment to get a bit of fresh air. ::"You should just jump, end it all.":: Said the voice in his head that sounded like a young Spanish woman, and Martyr realized she might be right/. He couldn't even provide for his little sister and mother. He was just... useless. But before Martyr could take a step, an idea struck him. "That's it! I'll throw a party!" He said pointing his finger straight up into the air. Unfortunately for the handsome kiutz, the force of his finger flying up caused him to hurtle backwards towards  the ground. "You have got to be jokin-" Was all he could get out before he crashed into the ground and died.

8 hours later, Martyr woke up naked in a morgue. Again. He pushed himself up off the metal table, and grabbed a lab coat from off the rack and a surgical mask from a bin, he also stole a pair of sunglasses from a sleeping security guards desk in order to hide his identity.. Hoping that he would be covered... down there. He walked back to his apartment which was luckily only 3 blocks from the nearest hospital. He got plenty of looks on his way there, and even some glares from nearby police officers who after he explained his situation, let him off with a warning.

Finally, he made his way to his shared apartment and hung the lab coat in his closet, he was starting to get a pretty good collection of them. Slipping on a pair of underwear, and then pants he moved to his laptop and began his typing work.

He went to r/Meta and began typing it out.

Hey all you outcasts, freaks of nature, and Meta-Humans. I'm throwing a massive party tonight at 4926 W Flournoy St. It's a massive warehouse. Expect games, movies, free food, and - if you guys are feeling adventurous - there might be some spark involved.

Please bring yourselves and if you can swing a date; they're also invited. It will start tomorrow at the address listed above, and it will end... WHEN IT ENDS!!!!! RSVP down below.

Posting this, Martyr put on a tank top and ran from the apartment to the Martyrmobile - a minivan with an M painted on the side - and drove to the store to get board games and food for this party.

Dire was sitting in his apartment in full uniform, with Michael Jackson playing in the background.
He didn't have any jobs, Nadia was busy, and nothing was really going on.
He then saw the post.
Dire was suddenly excited at how the tide turned.
Count me in! I'm a freak... Definitely! Be there in 3 seconds!
He teleported to the address and awaited the host to get there so he could assist them in setting the party up.
"Never too late to be early..."

Knightfall was having a relaxing evening having just bought a new motorcycle helmet to add to his collection when Nocturne's voice sounded from his stereo system. "Sir do you have any plans tonight perchance?" With a look of confusion on his face Knightfall responded. "No why do you ask?" Nocturne paused for a moment before continuing their conversation. "Well I thought you could use a break, relieve some tension so. I accepted an invitation for you to attend a party." "You did what," Knightfall shouted. "What made you think that was a good idea at all."

Knightfall got up and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well I figured that you would be interested in the host's soliciting of Spark." Knightfall then looked up in surprise. "Get yourself ready we're going for a ride."

”A party huh?” Samael looked at the post with a single quirked brow, resting on a couch with a leg crossed over the other. Moving into his new apartment had been a rather seamless process, barring of course sharing the space with someone else but that was an acceptable thing really. Not like Ashley had proven himself to be annoying by any means of the word. The location admittedly was a little suspect, but he was a damn half demon, not as if suspect things were anything new for him and so he would have to look into it. That first meant he had to get ready, maybe learn what Spark was due to Samael lacking any real knowledge of what was what these days. He did have a day, so Samael prepared himself as mentally as he could and when the time came he showed up at the warehouse on what looked to be a motorcycle.

He was dressed up in usual fare, black jeans with a rip in the left knee, a white t-shirt under a leather jacket and highly scuffed boots with the legs trucked into them. The usually glasses that managed to cover his eyes completely were present, if only because he was the self-conscious loser that he was. The fact there was even a reddit for metas something he only thought about now, but not like it mattered. He did take note of someone else being there, though they seemed more like they were talking to themselves. He dug his phone from his pocket and phoned Ashley, pressing it to his ear. ”Hey hot guy I live with, what the hell is Spark anyway?”

"A party for meta humans? a Metaparty? that sounds great, the only thing holding me back is, well, I'm normal, reeeeaaaaally normal" Ray deeply wanted to get to the party, yet, being the only powerless human being there sent a chill through his body, "What if they like to drink fire, I can not even digest fire!" Well, I'll send an email, a friendly one, I'll only add two winky faces.

"FUUUUU***, I knew I would mess that up, three winky faces!! you idiot! Well, now I just gotta wait for a reply, I'm really looking forward to party, only great things happen when people get out of control".

As Martyr was collecting supplies for his party; his phone dinged off and alerted him that an email had arrived. Reading it, Martyr replied.

"Re: Parteeh

Hola, Sight Master! Never seen you around the Christmas table for Metas, but hey, the more the merrier, yeah? Anywho, the dress code is your costume if you have one, if not it's cool. Drinks would be great if you can swing it, and as long as you don't, y'know. Bring kids with you, it should be fine.

After he sent this, he grabbed the snacks, sodas, and movies of the evening and then went to pick out board games. Finding a chess board, he purchased it. He then bought monopoly, scrabble, guess who, and cards against humanity. As he walked out of the store, he placed the chess board underneath the wheel of the Martyr-Mobile; and drove the van over it.

When he went to the warehouse the next day, he found himself face to face with... the Demonic Dire... He had met Dire once before, but it wasn't exactly a friendly deal. Dire had been killing a group of bank robbers, and putting a large amount of people at risk. Dire, couldn't be trusted. Then, he saw his roommate Samael. "Oh, hey Sam. Didn't expect you to be here." He shrugged. "And "Spark" is what I have in this bag." Said Martyr barely showing a plastic baggie from his trench coat pocket.

He walked inside, realized that he had opened himself up for the risk of Dire showing up and tossed him a roll of streamers. "If you're here for a party, than you are very early. So start setting up, I guess." He shrugged and moved onto his own preparations.  He pulled a couple of fold up tables from his van, and set them up inside.

Now, how did he afford all of this? Well, he is a villain after all. Oh, don't look at me that way. He paid for it legitimately... with a doctors stolen credit card. Turns out doctors who can afford to leave their lab coats laying around have a ton of money on their credit cards, and apparently don't notice small things like wallets. Either that or Martyr stole a dead mans coat. Either way, he was grateful for his newfound wealth.

He setup the movie projector and setup tonight's feature film; "The Mummy" with Brendan Fraser. Next, was the lights and speaker system. Martyr was electrocuted multiple times, stopping his heart; but eventually he finished his job and wired the speaker into the intercom.

Dire held his hands up when Martyr walked in.
"Hey, man. I have no hard feelings towards you. I'm just here to hang."
He said, hoping it sounded genuine.
He was, in fact, being honest.
He didn't have anything against the guy, he was just trying to do what was right.
He caught the roll of streamers and began teleporting around setting them up.

Knightfall arrived at the coordinates for the supposed party, his motorcycle Nocturne making a great deal of noise as he pulled up next to a van with an "M" spray-painted on it. He didn't like the whole drive there but he got the chance to wear a black helmet with flames and confetti, it reminded him of birthdays. Knightfall got off his bike and fixed his trench-coat walking through the warehouse opening, his arms spread open wide in a welcoming gesture. "The life of the party has arrived," he said with a chuckle. "Or the death whichever happens first."

Samael didn’t expect an immediate answer, though he was surprised to see that very roommate at the party that was being thrown. It was nice to see a familiar face around, managing to calm a slight hint of anxiety that was beginning to creep up. A few other people were there, though he wasn’t sure about who they were in any sense of the word. ”Drugs huh? Neato.” Was all he said, seeming only minorly interested in the concept of dealing with drugs. Without needing to be told, he ended to helping with setting things up, putting places where Samael perceived them needing to go and making use of any guidance that Ashley actually offered within the process. Having someone that could lift heavy things made setting a party up rather easy in the long run.

With his help things didn’t take too long, though he had a feeling Ashley would mess something up somehow, not that it was his problem. As long as the guy didn’t kill himself somehow anyway. By the end of things a movie projector was set up, with tables and the like. ”Now all we’re missing is hard liquor.”

While waiting for an answer, Ray sat down with his fluffy bird, and turned on the tv, immediatly animal planet was on, needless to say it stayed on. The plot was great, a tiger named Rocky was on a hunt, sadly a baby zebra was a target, Rocky was stalking him, hiding in the bushes, no other zebra could've known, that a tiger rain was due that day, from nine meters away, Rocky lunged towards his prey, and while in the middle of the air *ring* Martyr replied, so distracted from the action, Ray never found out if Rocky, poor Rocky, had it's meal...

Well, nevermind that story, cause after reading the mail, Ray got up, talked to Tito, and said "Hey Tito, do we have some alcohol stored?" and what he replied was amazing, well, he's a bird, so he said "chirp" and flew to April's room, luckily she was out, otherwise Rays Sister would've killed him, as Ray followed him around he said "of course she would have something, she's gonna kill me, but I think the situation deserves it" and after a few minutes of searching, jackpot, two bottles of tequila, both of them seem to have been open, and to that, Ray said "Why would you drink that small amount from two bottles, makes no sense, well, I should suit up". So there's Ray, helmet ready, hoodie ready, bow ready, just in case, finally heading out to the street, Ray looked left and right, and sat on the ground waiting the bus, yep, he's riding the bus...

Sleeping in the bus is his favorite way to travel, it's almost like fast traveling in games, luckily when reaching the place Tito waked him up, pecking him in the lips, getting off the bus and walking a few blocks gets him right where he needs to be, Ray rings the bell, cautious and hoping that there's no meta test to be done.

Ashley ground his teeth at the appearance of Knightfall. He wasn't exactly his most favorite person in the world ever since he had threatened to kill his sister. But he supposed he had opened himself up to this chance when he had sent the invitation through Reddit. "Let's hope death!" Martyr yelled back, though he tried to sound as though he was joking. As they finished the setup, Samael said something about hard liquor.

Ashley was just about to answer his friend; but just as he did the door rang. "One second, Sam. I think there's a guest at the door." He said as he fixed his hat onto his head and opened the door.

"Hi there!" He said opening the door. "You must be Sight Master. Come on in." He said gesturing to the party. "Did you bring the booze?"

Dire yelled as soon as Knightfall walked in, "I'm for death as well!"
He said laughing.

He looked at Samael, something was strikingly familiar... But not in a good way.
Like he'd wanted to kill someone like him before, but couldn't lay a finger on who or what it was.
So when he'd almost undeniably get caught staring, he would just launch a smile.

Then he teleported to Martyr and Sight Master.
"His booze had better be strong, cuz that stuff don't work on me... Sadly."
He held his hand out to Sight Master, "Nice to meet ya, I'm the Demonic Dire. If you think you're the only one you dont know everyone here, you're wrong. I only know this guy." He said, pointing to Martyr.

He waited for Sight Master to sort of move on and then began telling him quietly.
"I just want you to know, no hard feelings. You were doing what you thought was right, and I respect that one-hundred and ten percent. I'm not here to hurt you or crash your party, I'm here to enjoy it. Truce?"
He said, offering his hand to shake.

Upon his welcoming Knightfall opened his trench-coat wide brandishing an assortment of alcoholic beverages. Looking down at them he spoke in an orderly tone listing off his inventory. "Okay I've got one Jack Daniel's number one, one Fireball, a bottle of Jose Cuervos, and some classic Tennessee moonshine." He then walked over to the plastic tables and set down all of the assorted drinks. "I just brought what I usually drink plus the bottle of Cuervos. If you don't like it then that means there's more for me."

Samael felt as if he were being stared at, though all he did was ignore that sensation when he was more interested in talking with someone he knew. If there would be death, he hoped it was something that they could just throw in some acid and not even deal with anymore. Someone else came, though they called themselves by some stupid name that sounded like something a hero would go by. ”Samael.” Was all he said, giving this Sight Master a single nod, proving to not be as social as he seemed. There was some alcohol, though another person that had come along also had alcohol which made them people he did not hate anyway.

”Not here to crash it? Well, that makes things easy then.” He then added, considering whether he should still throw the guy out or not. Having someone ruin his night out would have been rather shitty. He trolled over to the plastic tables that had the drinks and poured a small amount straight into one of those red cups, downing it rather quickly as the usual taste bit at his tongue. ”And if that’s not enough, I can probably just buy us some more of the stuff.” Samael then added,  remembering that Ashley at the very least would know he could buy the good stuff without any real issue. His salary sure managed to afford it anyway.

"What the ..." was the only thing that Sight Master got to mutter, "Who are you again? What do you mean about that? I just like to travel on a bus, not much else" He said to Dire. Looking at Samael, Ray first noticed his eyes, he was surprised, slightly afraid to be seeing a demon in disguise, yet a thought popped up "What if a demon wants to party, is that so bad?" After those 5 seconds thinking Ray started following Samael and offered  a handshake while saying "So has the party started? Or is someone else coming?". After all, what could be worse, have a demon friend, or a demon enemy?
