Darrek, Ego, Stimson

Darrek's a chill guy, willing to take risky extremes when he feels up to the challenge. Though his shadowy state and his power set may make him seem like one, he is not an edgelord. Usually.

Despite claims that his Father swam all the way to America from China, fighting sharks off with his bare hands, his Dad actually came to the United States after dangerously running from North Korea to South Korea, hitching a ride on a cargo ship to the states once he could. Once here, he went through the processes of becoming a citizen, and the lady that worked with him, barely understanding a word he said, just gave him the last name "Stimson" on all his files and no one ever cared nor tried to get it fixed.

His Mother, on the other hand, is far more dull. She lived her entire life in America without ever leaving. The fact that his Dad fell in love with this woman, Darrek just couldn't understand why, but they did, and he was the weird byproduct of their union, the first of three, the other two being his little sisters. Yes, he knows his name is spelt oddly. That's what happens when an English-illiterate man tries to spell Derrick.

His Dad, of course, knew some awesome martial arts and metaphysical stuff, he was Asian and all, so he taught that to Darrek. By the time he finished the majority of his training, he was able to see his first little sister go through the same things he did.

What did his Dad teach him? To draw deep within himself and harmonize with all the different archetypes that were within him. He took this a step further and sought to let these different archetypes take control of his persona, which is what's shown to the rest of the world, seeing what happened when he did so. Dad hated him doing this, advising that he stopped, but he was a rebellious teenager, ain't no father figure convincing him!

Arguments ensued, rattling the entirety of the house. Soon enough, Darrek grew tired of it, leaving to stay at a friend's house for a few weeks until he had enough money saved up to rent an apartment, which is where he's staying currently.
