It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Samael Christensen January 22nd 2016, 9:51 pm

Fluorescent light broken through one of the boarded up windows, casting its artificial light across the dusty warehouse. There were four people in this warehouse, distinguished only by their masks, as the style of dress they chose was the simple all black setup. The tallest of them wore an orange mask with a strange pattern of swirls that was almost hypnotic, two of them holding what looked to be guns. "Nice to see you're still running with us." The orange masked one spoke, voice filtered by the mask itself. Something about their voice held a demanding presence to it, one that Hemorrhage couldn't quite shake. It made him feel nervous just hearing each words drip from their mouth, even if just through a mask.

"Not like I have any other choice." He noted, his disdain not entirely veiled, but then again not as if they would care too much about something like that. If their plan went through, well he knew his cut would likely be something substantial. All it took was proper execution, and the hope that they weren't messed with by some random heroes arriving on the scene. If he was their only metahuman, well that wasn't something that he could properly guess but then again he was aware that their boss was likely some kind of meta. Not that he had the pleasure of actually meeting them, though from what was said they were pretty dangerous. Strangely enough their target was something simple, a bank not too far from where they were. Maybe the cliché aspects of it would be enough to make it worth going there, less expected than one would actually expect anyway. "It shouldn't be hard anyway. It's just a bank job, right?" He spoke up, sure they were confident enough within themselves to be able to do this.

Not that this was his first time going after a bank, but then again this was his first time with those powers of his. Whether that made things easier or harder, well he would have to find out in time. "Ya never know what might happen." Well that was true enough, but then again he was expecting these guys to be a little more confident than they were. May have been some kind of professionalism instilled within them, which was not a bad thing. Success was something he wanted, especially when it promised a significant pay at the end, or rather that was what he was promised anyway. His mind ran over the possible screw ups they could deal with, ways that this plan could go wrong, and he resolved that none of them would happen. Not that one could really control their fate, only deal with it.

"Well let's get this over with." He said, more than ready to do just that. The whole potential of killing people always left a bad taste in his mouth. From there little meeting point was the heist really. Not that he was the mastermind behind this, but then again he was expected to have remembered every detail about the job they were supposed to do. No mess ups, otherwise he had a feeling that he would regret it in one way or another. Still things had to be done and so began to the whole bank heist thing.

There weren't too many people actually there, maybe four to five actually in the bank, save for of course the ones behind the desk as to be expected.Well things went as anyone expected, the two supposedly non powered mooks burst in with guns as obvious as guns would be in a public setting and shouted about people getting on the ground while letting off a warning shot. While they kept people down, cowering as they would his partner would make their way towards where the money should be held. Leaving him to back up his allies, likely the silent alarm having already been set off by now. First the police and likely annoying heroes, well this day went from bad to shit rather quickly.

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Chase Blackburn January 23rd 2016, 12:44 am

"Order 43", the Wendy's employer yelled from behind the counter. Chase slowly stood up, waving his cane around, hitting people's shoes on purpose to give the illusion that he couldn't see anything around him.

After whacking a couple people in the restaurant, he grabbed his platter. He made it to the closest table near him, set it down and popped a squat. He took the burger out and dug in. I know I'm going to die in my thirties due to diabetes, but it will totally be worth it, Chase thought to himself, quenching his appetite while simultaneously feeding his habit to monologue to himself.

As he ate, he just listened to the world around him. Many people just listened to other conversations around them, but Chase had to listen to the constant babble of countless amounts of people from God knows where. When he had first realized he had super hearing, he thought it would be so helpful, hearing everything the cops were doing and what-not. Living with it for a while now, he has come to realize he barely uses it, and it usually just makes it hard to listen to people he's trying to talk to.

Halfway through his fries and nearly done with his burger, he was able to pick up cops saying "There's a bank robbery on Carleton Avenue." Shit, that's near me. Usually the choice would be simple; Chase would go and kick some ass, but he wasn't wearing his suit underneath his clothes today. He wasn't expecting anything to happen.

I could just stay here and finish my burger, hope that the police are halfway competent, but that's not the hero thing to do, Chase thought to himself while holding his chin in thought. If I go, my skin's going to burn off my bones without my suit. After giving it a minute's worth of thought, Chase took the last bite of his burger, stood up and walked out the building.

"Been meaning to try this for a while, anyways." Chase muttered out loud while in front of the building. For a while, he's had a hypothesis that he could run fast not just in a state of sound, but also in his physical state. He always felt a vibration through his body as he turned into sound. If he could cause just a certain percentage of his body to turn into sound while the rest remained matter, maybe...

After a moment of standing in front of Wendy's, looking odd as he stood there, a certain weight was lifted off his shoulders, quite literally. He could feel his atoms moving faster as he stood there. He took a couple steps and looked around, confirming that everyone looked as if they were standing still to him. Carleton Avenue, huh? That isn't too far away, and with that thought, he sprinted off, hitting a couple people as he attempted to get used to his physical body moving this fast.

He passed several cop cars as he ran. When he arrived, he saw that only two cop cars were there, and it looked as if they were waiting on reinforcements. If all went well, they wouldn't need it.

Chase rushed in through the front doors. Trying not to kill them nor break too many of his own bones, he simply swiped at the guy's legs who was closest to the door. He dropped his gun and fell to the floor. Looking at the guy behind him wearing a mask, Chase spoke up. "Since you don't have a gun, I'm guessing you're the guy they hired to deal with someone like me if they were to show up.

As expected the cops would come, but luckily cops themselves were something that he could deal with. Not as if their guns could do any lasting damage to him, or even actually hurt for that matter, but then again they would probably ruin his clothes, which would be annoying in its own right. Good thing it was black, made the bloodstains nearly impossible to see. Within a matter of a second one of the guys with their guns were down, gripping their leg as they hit the ground. There also seemed to be someone standing there with a cane of all things, likely some metahuman that thought they could save the day. Aaron growled under his breath as his eyes took stock of the other one with the gun, and then the guy down on the ground. You have got to be kidding me. This was supposed to be an easy job, but here's this guy. From the way the downed guy was holding their leg, well it looked like they had broken it.

Well they were worth every cent, but then again that just meant a larger cut on his end should they be captured. Aaron liked the sound of that but leaving someone behind also made him feel bad in some sense. Well they were a criminal, so they would have done the same to him if the situation were reversed. This was after all not the time to feel bad for someone when they were dealing with a metahuman of all things. "Well...you're not wrong." He said taking a few steps back, looking around to take in everything that was happening around him. They were wearing what looked to be sunglasses, suggesting they were either into wearing them or blind. If it were the latter maybe they had something to help with the whole blind hero thing, though what that was he didn't know. "Ya see, we can't exactly let you stop us. So...we're gonna have to kick your ass."

Almost as if taking a silent que, the remaining thug would raise their gun and unleash a hail of bullets upon Chase. Not seeing that he needed to do anything right now, Aaron watched. Speedsters, while they were fast tended to not always be faster than a speeding bullets, especially multiple ones. So this was a test to see if they even needed him to do anything, not that he was sure there was anything he could do. This would be his first time actually fighting against a metahuman opponent, so the margin for error was massive. Enough that he could even lose if he wasn't careful.

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Chase Blackburn January 23rd 2016, 8:55 pm

Chase looked down at the man he had taken down. He was holding his leg in pain. Realizing that if he were to fight through what was probably a broken bone, he could pick the gun up and shoot him in his back. Not wanting to be shot, Chase picked up the gun and tossed it through a window. One down, two to go, Chase thought triumphantly. He then looked back at the guy in the red mask.

Chase couldn't help but grin as he learned his assumption was correct. Seeing as how he started to take a couple steps back, Chase assumed his abilities weren't much to worry about, seeing as even he was hesitating. "Oh really? You two are going to kick my ass?" Chase said, completely believing that he would be able to wipe the floor with these two in no time at all. He out his left foot forward, getting ready to react to whatever this guy had in store for him.

He heard multiple gunshots. Thinking the other guy would just go back to get the money and that he would leave Chase to fight the guy they hired to deal with him, he didn't anticipate any gunshots. He had begun to run out of the bullet's path when one pierced his left shoulder blade. He sprinted to behind a pillar, knowing he had just barely missed another bullet. Shit! Chase sprinted from behind the pillar and towards the guy with the gun, steering clear from the direction his gun was pointed in. He yanked the gun out of his hands and hit him with the butt of it in the stomach. Tossing the gun across the room to where he didn't believe anyone could grab it, he returned his attention to the guy in the red mask. "Doesn't seem like there's a 'we' anymore, just you."

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Samael Christensen January 23rd 2016, 11:21 pm

The hero showed typical heroic arrogance that came along with thinking they were something special. Sure, they were superhuman but they would find out he wasn't just something to be  laughed off, though likely too late to do anything about it. Bullets whizzed about, most of them not even considerate of where they flew so long as they would hit the hero. Aaron was aware of his body jerking as likely one of the bullet collided with his shoulder. There was no pain, only the vague sensation that something had hit him there, and likely blood would be pouring from the wound. Still, so long as they got the job done he wouldn't complain about them making a massive error such as hitting him, considering that this was just helping him. The bullet had born through his shoulder, shattering the joint and sending blood splattering across the floor.

Standing completely still, he kept the wound open simply on the principle of letting the blood flow from him, as well as obfuscating his regenerative power. Letting them know what he could do would be really annoying, especially when that would lead to speedsters and their annoying habit of dodging. Within a matter of seconds they would dash around the room, taking out the second thug while getting only a few minor injuries from the gun itself."I'll admit that was a nice show. You'll need to be more than a little fast to beat me though." That left him in charge of keeping these hostages in check, and so that was what he would do."I mean you're not the only meta in the room." Feeling around his shoulder, the hole itself was enough to fit a finger into but nothing overly large, at the very least his arm wouldn't fall off.

With a thought the blood from the wound ran along the ground, rapidly moving towards two of the hostages as they would find themselves with what looked to be blood blades pointed at their necks. "Well I would fight but hostages work so much better against you hero types don't they?"

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Chase Blackburn January 24th 2016, 1:44 am

Chase returned his gaze from the man who was now on the ground to the guy in a red mask. He stared at him analytically as he noticed that there was a large puddle of blood streaming down from his arm- it was ridiculous. Apparently, he got hit with some friendly fire.

"And you're going to have to be a bit more than freaky to beat me. Seriously dude, the fuck is with your arm?" Chase responded somewhat mockingly. That's when he saw it. The blood from this guy had moved it's way to the hostages. Unbeknownst to Chase, it had formed into two sharp blades around the two hostages necks.

Thoughts ran through Chase's head of what to do as the guy in the red mask blatantly told him he was using the hostages. I can submit and allow him to get the money from this bank. Can you really put a price on two lives? At the same time, this ass needs to be stopped. Would he really kill them? Assuming that he doesn't fulfill his promises, would he still kill them even if I surrendered? Is this some sort of bluff? Could I get away with putting their lives at risk? Will I make the right choice? "You've got two choices. First option: Remove those two blades from their throats and I'll let you walk Scott free. I won't pursue you and you can be on your merry way. Second option: Kill those two and learn what getting punched in the face at three fourth's the speed of mach one feels like. Chase said with pure confidence in his voice. While it might have just been that comment on hero types that made him decide to take this route, he couldn't help but feel that this guy would actually hurt them, and as soon as he got the comment was said, he was already regretting not giving up.

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Samael Christensen January 27th 2016, 9:29 pm

Now with two hostages, well he was sure of his victory but then again people always had their ways of going against the expected. Instead they didn't do anything to even try and stop him, instead just slinging threats at him if he went through with it. Something about that more than anything else amused Aaron, as if beating him up would do anything for the dead. "So you're betting everything on your ability to defeat me? Wow, how arrogant can you heroes get?" He chuckled, as the bloody constructs seemed to stretch out, adding to the hostage count, two to five. "What if I choose a third option? I kill all of these people, and then I do the same to you, regardless of how fast you run." Afterall, they had to be talking a big game to be willing to let these people die but then again maybe they just didn't really care about their lives.

The hole within his shoulder had begun to knit itself closed, bone reforming slowly as flesh itself also began to reform. "Ya see, this wasn't a negotiation." If he knew what they were talking about, likely they would shatter their own bones hitting as hard as they bragged, granted that was if they didn't have some kind of durability. Luckily for him his body could recover from a hit like that. Raising a single hand, he snapped as the blades of blood split further to form many piercing weapons that sunk into their targets. So their blood mingled with the blood used to end their lives, pooling on the ground, no one able to do anything that gurgle inertly due to pierced lungs. Making use of his own obscuring clothing, Aaron formed an armor of blood that would hopefully do something over his body, acting as both defense and offense.

"Whoops." Within the matter of a second the blood weapons that had been used to hold the hostages all turned upon Chase.

It's a bank robbery, that's about it Empty Re: It's a bank robbery, that's about it

Post by Chase Blackburn January 27th 2016, 9:55 pm

Chase slowly starting turning more of his atoms into sound waves, just as a precaution, raising his speed from what he guessed was one third the speed of sound to half. If he needed to, he could move faster, though he did start to look oddly skinnier and skinnier. He didn't believe this guy to be so heartless as to kill some people for money, no matter how many hostages he had. "If you thought you could kill me, you wouldn't cowardly resort to using hostages", Chase said, eradicating what little doubt he had.

Chase was focusing on two groups, the hostages with blood weapons around them and the guy who was apparently controlling it. That's when he noticed something strange. The skin from where he had got shot was already starting to heal itself, much like what Chase's was doing. Not paying attention to the hostages as he was drawing the similarities between their wounds, he barely noticed that the weapons sunk into them. Where did I go wrong? I was almost certain- God, no! His thoughts rushed through his head, remorse flooding him for his mistake while rage simultaneously enveloped him.

Chase just stood there, shell shocked. He knew that blood had covered the guy's body. He knew that blood was scurrying towards him. For perhaps too long, he didn't react. When the blood was closing in on him, his eyes flared up behind his glasses, and within a moment, he was on the other side of the room, behind the murderer. "You think you can kill me? Be my guest, but only if you can." With that, Chase kicked behind his knee, whispering into his ears "Can your eyes even follow me?" before taking a couple steps back to what he thought to be a safe spot.
