Welcome to Chicago, the windy city. The New-New York in Silus’ mind. He was, of course, staying with Niall temporarily. Nothing permanent, just long enough for Ouro to resolve a situation with a few “idiots”. Of Course Silus knew that that meant two heroes irked his daddy in all the wrong ways...which meant their ass was grass and Ouro was the lawnmower. It made Silus form a small grin when Niall was under the impression that he had to go return something at a store. Reaffirming in Silus’ mind that Ouro simply left him with Niall for the chance to have pleasant company. Though that wasn’t exactly true. Niall was a pretty potent source of Ethereal energy, it was pretty likely that Ouro used him to throw off the trail of any “unwanted” observers, and to keep him safe.

”You’re no fun at all.” Niall said as he plopped down on the hotel couch next to the young Ethereal prince. Niall’s blue green eyes seemed to pierce Silus, seeing through him. It was really uncomfortable. Silus shuffled away on the couch a little. Niall turned up his hands and had an off smile on his face. ”God, does everything have to intimidate you?” He asked the little messy brown haired boy. Silus presses his lips together and nodded, sending his hair up and down. Silus eventually stopped and rolled his head around as if he were dizzy, then planting his face into the arm of the couch with his tongue out with a disgruntles “elagh”.

”Hey, I’ve died once, it’s scary, don’t joke about it.” Niall said with a slight hint of seriousness to his voice. He stood up and yawned as he stretched himself out to lounge on the couch. While laying there he looked down at Silus with a curious look. Silus had a little smile and he was looking down at Niall. Silus didn’t mind this at all really, staying with Niall was like being around a nicer Ouroboros….that had the intellect of an eight year old and no sons to torment him. Niall gave an amused scoff and a smile, tapping Silus on the side of the head with a foot. ”Eyo, you hungry?” Niall asked. Silus just shrugged. Niall’s mouth opened his eyes narrowed and he shook his head.

”That’s like saying Yes in a ”choose one” question. It’s not valid here. Are ya hungry or not?” He chuckled. Silus shrugged again. Niall proceeded to poke Silus with the side of his foot repedantly with a barrage of “huh?” ’s and the like until Silus caved in.

”Y-yes now stop tapping me.” Silus said with an annoyed tone, but the smile on his face suggested he found some humor in the event. Niall nodded, then looked at his foot with wide eyes. ”What?” Silus asked, the foot thawing him in the forehead.

”I don’t know.” He said suddenly with a shrug and the typical spaced out look on his face. His foot stopped, earning a playful glare from the young Ethereal prince. Silus rolled off the couch and caught himself off the ground and stood right up. He straightened out his “Normal world” clothing, his preferred outfit actually. In opposition to his elegant ethereal silk royal attire, he sported a burgundy hoodie, a white and black stripped shirt beneath it, blue jeans and one of those little beanie hats with the brims on it…when it was cold out, it wasn’t too bad out so he left it at home. With his sneakers on his whole covered socks he walked out the door, Niall trailing soon behind in his typical dress code.

Silus found himself playing with his necklace, the priceless artifact, the Lycan King’s Lavaliere. The priceless neck ware was loose across his neck. The lace itself is decorate with the canine fangs of wolves across the world. There is a pendant or rather a small slate of gold attached, with three glowing gems imbedded into it. There is a prismatic diamond, a jet that glows with an eerie red energy, and an emerald that seems to have a natural sheen to it. The artifact was known to have been created by the first werewolf, and that in an instant he could use this device to summon his entire pack to him….being a king it was assumed that it was a substantial number. Niall noted his fiddling with the oddly elegant item, and even went as far as to poke it.

”Thought it was stealing your soul for a sec there.” Niall said with a dramatic sigh. Silus shot him a little smirk and a questioning arch in his eyebrow. Silus wondered how it would have turned out if that were truly the cost of having his loyal pack on his side. He wouldn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to lose his soul, but at the same time he couldn’t live without his pack…they were his friends. Heck, they had been better to him than his own brothers on a consistent basis. Niall had led Silus to a place with a flourish of blue and white and red letters.

”W-what d-d-do they have?” Silus asked as he held onto Niall’s wrist. Niall was a little dumbstruck as he looked up and pointed to the menu. Silus blushed and seemed to bury himself when he saw two older girls looking at him and Niall. At least he actually had some form of security at the moment. Niall looked down to Silus and then traced a look around the area, seeing two young girls giggling and laughing about Silus. Niall looked down and shook Silus by the shoulder.

”Hey bud, it’s alright. Look, just look at the menu, ignore them.” Niall said. Silus shook a little, and apparently the girls thought it was cute how bashful the kid was. Niall personally found their doting over him annoying, mainly because it didn’t help his current situation. Niall pushed Silus back just a little bit so he could squat down. Niall’s blue green eyes sot into the human blue eyes of Silus. ”It’s alright…they think you’re a cute shy-guy, it’s not a big deal.”

”I-it’s not that.” Silus said as his eyes drifted form Niall down to the ground.

”Then what’s up? Don’t worry, you can tell me.” Niall said, placing a hand on the kid’s head. Silus looked up, reluctantly speaking very, very softly.

”I-I-I can’t read English.” He said. He cursed himself for it to. He never bothered to learn to read it, he figured he could just speak it and be fine. Jokes on him...

Silus sat with Niall inside the little establishment, both of them eating, well… Niall was eating just to eat. He didn’t need it for sustenance like the young Silus did. Silus tore into it like it was his last dinner, he was vicious. Niall just looked on with a little look of horror as the eleven year old took in enough food in one bite that could choke an average human. Niall chuckled, actually believing that the kid’s power may very well be eating things. Niall took a napkin and got the ketchup that Silus SOMEHOW managed to get on his cheek, causing the little guy to flinch. Niall scoffed with a smile, was this kid really that tortured that he flinched at even friendly gestures?

With a loud crash and an explosion off in the distance, Niall shot up out of his chair, and Silus ducked down, hands over the back of his head. A plume of flames engulfed the area in the distance. Silus knew this all too well. Daddy got carried away and blue somewhere up. At this rate there was going to be an ethereal war… Silus looked up to Niall who leaned under the table.

”Go back to the hotel, I’ll be there soon.” He ordered, handing Silus a buss pass and heading out, Ethereal energy cloaking his face, spawning his mask and his hydra-skin prototype. Silus stood up and peered around. Looks like it was time to go back to the hotel…

Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky) Empty Re: Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky)

Brandon yawned loudly as he rolled over in his bed, beams of light streaming through his curtains and heralding a new day. His head reeled, perhaps from the large amount of alcohol that he had ingested to see what it would take to get him drunk, and his mother was not pleased by how much he ingested. Hell, if he did drink anymore, his blood would have become pure alcohol, and then he would have died or something. Anyway, he had literally nearly spent around three thousand dollars in alcohol on one night, and yet all he woke up with was a minor headache, which meant that his body tore that shit apart with ease. With a low groan, he rolled over as some of the covers rolled away from his toned frame, eyelids fluttering lightly. Okay, maybe the hangover was worst than initially thought, but then again sensitivity to light was nothing new, even if it felt like pins being shoved into his brains.

The door opened, and he already guessed who it was before the voice exited their mouth. ”I did tell you not to drink that much, but you just didn’t listen.” Aaron said with a light tut, lingering at the door way as his twin slowly rolled on to his side, bloodshot eyes narrowing slightly. He grunted annoyed, pressing up with his elbows, as the bed seemed to creak in protest from the amount of pressure that he was accidentally exerting on it at this time. Luckily magical reinforcement and all of that jazz kept it from crashing to the floor. ”Well don’t dawdle in bed too long, its half past noon.” He noted crossing arms over his chest, piercing green eyes glaring at Brandon for a moment before taking his leave. That left Brandon with his head splitting pain, though it was not as bad as he expected really.

Languishing in his bed for another ten minutes, Brandon managed to roll sluggishly out of his bed, and plop noisily on the floor. Well, he kind of laid there for around a minute before groaning and pushing himself to his feet, shaking his head before then moving to his feet. Picking up the wifebeater that was laying next to his bed on the floor, Brandon threw it on and trudged from his room. ”He lives!” Ariannas voice carried from down the hall, as he could smell what seemed like bacon of some kind. Saliva pooled within his mouth as he found himself dragged along by that delicious aroma, feet doing the walking for him as he walked into the kitchen, with his mother removing something from a skillet just then. She turned and smiled the sound of grease crackling filling the air as the little blonde Sean or whatever helped himself to pancakes. His mother was cooking, and that did not bode well for some reason. ’Sit down, there’s enough for everyone.” She noted dropping bacon on a plate of eggs, and letting it scoot over to Brandon. He looked down at it curiously.

”Its noon right, little late for breakfast foods don’tcha think?”

”I would have thought so too, but Sean thought that it was a perfect time for some breakfast foods. Not sure if it’s a brunch or brinner though.” She mused for a second, before turning off the oven, and sitting down. Brandon looked down at his food for a moment, before taking a fork and digging in, suddenly realizing how hungry he really was, as he wolfed it down without a second though; and downed a glass of orange juice that appeared out of nowhere, or that someone had handed to him. Strangely enough, it seemed that this was exactly what his body was looking for to make itself feel better, and once that was done, Brandon realized that he was….still sweaty and otherwise rather dirty. That came in the middle of chewing up the last bit of bacon that was sitting precariously on his plate, eyes widening and narrowing contemplatively. He let a sigh pass through his lips, and finished off the wonderfully greasy food. ”So, you gonna go for a fly today?” The little blonde twerp asked with a certain jovial tone, a smirk playing across his lips.

”Yeah.” He said with a certain suspicion.

”Ah.” He said with a nod, jumping from his seat and then walking away, to perhaps prowl the mansion once more. With that done, the Hale would quickly backpedal to his room and remove a few clothes that he would was going to wear, a simple flannel shirt that buttoned up the middle, jeans that had some places frayed to add some kind of appeal to them, with that done he hopped into the shower within the bathroom next to his bedroom, and washed off all the filth that he thought was on him. What really woke him up was the feel of the hot water that luckily never really ran out thanks to advanced water tech or whatever. With that done, he ran the towel over his hair, shook his head and was out again, throwing the clothes on after removing his used clothing, and then he was out the door just as quick. Within moments he was standing on the Hale lawn, green as always and Brandon twisted the silver ring around his right middle finger slowly for a moment, removing his outer shirt, realizing that he didn’t need it if he was practicing flight. Removing the ring Brandon placed it in the tightest pocket on his jean, black wings sprouted from his back, flapping wildly, not damaging his under shirt, which he had altered specifically for this. With a few powerful flaps, he was off in the air, moving at nearly full speed already, like a bullet. Wind whipped past his face, hair being mussed up even more as he zoomed higher and higher, clouds coming closer.

With a swift snap, he leveled out in his flight, now choosing to zoom forward at his full speed, eyes narrowing. Some would look up and see the figure with the wings black as pitch flying through the air, but then again he was too high for anyone to get a good image of him. That was when…oh god his head was swimming. Brandon realized that he was not quite ready to do this, and just now too. It was within that moment that Brandon swore he heard something explode far below, but his body had already begun to revolt, wings stalling and he was falling…falling, a yell ripping from his lips. Gravity seemed to take a deep, and sadistic pleasure in ripping from Hale from the air, and dragging him down, like the cruel mistress that it was. Within a matter of seconds he hit something…a car mostly likely, considering the alarm honking loudly.

”Ouch.”

Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky) Empty Re: Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky)

Post by keblinky November 11th 2013, 7:47 pm

Vahnuk was in Chicago. This place was different from others. He had seen many cities, but the particular blending cultures of this metropolis were extremely interesting. Just like the cultures of his people, the moon elves and the sun elves, had blended seamlessly, so too did cultures mix here. He hoped there weren’t any problems like that him-damned silk issue. Sun elves believed that silk should be worn at all times, moon elves believed that it should only be worn on holidays. He had solved the issue by making every day a holiday, but many had died from that disagreement.

Standing atop a skyscraper, the lightly clad elf was about to step away when an explosion rattled off. He could see red and yellow flames arcing into the sky, and heard screams of agony. This would not do, he could not let people die. It would be most unkingly of him.

Stepping off the skyscraper, Vahnuk sailed downwards, eventually stabilizing himself in a sort of controlled crash. Pulling up at the last second, he skidded to a halt in middle of a large street. A large apartment complex had burst into flame, and while firemen were doing their best, Vahnuk could see many in the burning buildings. Touching his chest piece, the God muttered something. “Ve kir fateg, akdin.” Steel-Drinker flashed, and he felt his skin harden. This would keep any flames from reaching him.

Stepping upwards, running along an imaginary staircase, Vahnuk stood at the window. “Do not let the flames lick you in rude ways! Allow the Bedder of Flames to save you from their impassioned grasp! Akdir, vat tegka!” Extending his hand further, Vahnuk grabbed two small bodies. A pair of children, brother and sister by the looks of it. Looking in further, the elf saw that no others were there. Luckily enough, they had enough foresight to escape by way of a fire ladder. And so, he floated downwards, squalling babes clutched tightly in his arms.

Handing them to a fireman, Vahnuk gave a bow. “And the King has delivered his youngest subjects to their rightful owners! And now, if there are no questions, I must see that no others are in pain.” The things humans called reporters were swarming all around him, but Vahnuk walked off, quickly ducking behind a wall. There he let Curse-Speaker do its work. The man who stepped out from behind that wall was not the proverbial King, rather, a very handsome man with black hair. Streaked with white, because Vahnuk hadn’t been feeling particularly up to changing every single strand of his hair into acceptable colors, but looking passably human enough.

And there, across the street, Vahnuk spotted a lone child who looked like he was lost. And then a huge boom snapped across the street, as a crumpled form fell onto a car. Running over to the automobile, Vahnuk glanced down at gravity’s latest victim. “What has the cruel mistress of Gravity done to you? Have you wronged her in some way? I wish upon stars uncountable that your injuries are not too serious. Can you speak?”

Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky) Empty Re: Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky)

Post by Silus November 12th 2013, 2:10 am

The Ethereal Prince made his way towards the explosion a little, only do he could reach the nearest bus stop. In his lonesome trek he found himself wondering why there was so much stuff going on. Why did his dad have to be here in Chicago beating people to a pulp? He hated having to be alone…he liked Niall, a lot too. But Niall always had to up and leave, which made it terrible. Though he did get to meet that lily girl. Wasn’t she part of that hero group? Maybe he should look into that…true enough he himself wasn’t much of a hero, but his wolves were something else. He found himself playing with his necklace again, feeling the primal urges and energies of the werewolven folk coursing through it. He sighed wistfully as he made it to the bus stop…how could this get any worse?

Car alarm. Wonderful, now Silus has to listen to a loud car alarm while he waits for the freaking bus. His eyes narrowed and his head turned slowly, expecting to see one of his wolves screwing up the streets yet again. He was shocked and shot up, hands still out of his hoodie as his blue eyes grew wide, seeing a winged man…on a car. This guy wasn’t one of the ones his daddy was after, not now at least, or else he wouldn’t have gotten so far from the east side. Silus made his way over towards the man slowly, making sure to see if he was hostile or not. He resolved that he must not have been, considering he didn’t even appear to have any aggressive behavior…apart from falling from the sky ever so gracefully. Silus almost got there before this crazy freaking elf thing ran up from nowhere and scared him into a fit of tremoring. The poor little guy was frozen, petrified that had he taken four more steps he would have been a pancake under the foot of this crazy, creepy looking thing.

He didn’t waste any time though, he tried to use his prized amulet to feel for the members of his pack, falling them rather close, but still far enough away, he approached ever so carefully. He veered away form the elf as best as possible, not sure if it was one of the elves that feuded with the werewolves…if so the elf might notice the amulet…and if it wasn’t one of the ones that feuded with them…then the elf was likely to see t sheerly as a legendary artifact. Silus tried to avert the gaze for a moment, looking over the injuries of the man. Fortunately there were non, and the young Ethereal smiled a little, before returning to his seat, sitting by his lonesome, trying to avoid confrontation.

Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky) Empty Re: Mythos and Thieves (closed to Pat and Keblinky)

Post by Arcana November 12th 2013, 3:54 pm

Brandon lay against the twisted metal of the car, back aching slightly as dark brown orbs looked up to the heavens. While crushing a car under his body would have usually been nothing, adding the fact that he fell from at least a good thousand feet or more would have added to the pain, even if it were nothing major. He rolled onto his side; eyes closing as his wings lightly flicked off small bits of glass that had managed to get between the feathers, before he pulled the ring form his pocket, and slipped it onto his finger. In an instant the feathery constructs were gone and his body found itself adjusting to the lack of cushion once again. ”Yeah, she is not going to be happy about this one.” He muttered to himself, popping his shoulder lightly, and managing to pull himself from the wreck of the car, as the rest of the windshield fell in.

Oh god, he was drawing attention and everything. Luckily the owner of the automobile did not materialize and begin to yell at him, threatening lawsuits and everything else in between. That was when a stranger appeared, speaking in an archaic fashion, and Brandon found himself amused slightly by it. Like a Shakespearian play given living form. He only had to give the male one look to know what he was dealing with, a person true enough, with only a single streak of white within a mane of black hair. Taking out all of the hard to discern parts, he was basically asking what had happened and if he was okay, latter seeming to be obvious. ’Well….I was flying and then I kind of fell.” He said with a large grin, perhaps trying to play off the fact that he fell from thousands of feet without even injuring himself.

Rolling from the topic of the crushed car, Brandon nodded to the male. ”And I’m fine, thanks for the concern.” It was nice that this person was showing some concern, even though most would have shown it in a different way, with frantic actions and whatnot. He twisted to the side, spine making a popping sound before sighing contently, and rubbing his chin lightly. That was when he noticed a kid, kinda young looking and…strangely family, though it was only the way that he carried himself. Then he sat alone….why was he alone anyway? Didn’t the kid have parents or something? Was he one of those kids that had the drunks for parents or something, and had to take care of themselves? Besides, he needed to get back home anyway, and suddenly flying up would not work now, considering that he did not want to crash again.

Brandon felt over his pockets, feeling…yeah, he had his wallet in there, so that was something. He didn’t remember bringing the thing, but then again when you have family members that could enchant anything, having a wallet that could return to your pocket was not too difficult. ’Well erm….I have places to go.” With a nod of his head he walked on, sitting down at the bus stop, and looking to the kid smiling, and looking ahead. Didn't want to look like a creep or anything, and then he was reminded of the weird guy.
