The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt Empty The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt

Post by H.J Elliot November 19th 2011, 2:22 pm

The Elliot family was stationed in Germany for an upcoming magic conference, the Magic-Con. With his entire family huddled under a single roof was already far to much for the young mage, he needed to get out of the house, and with Frankfurt just outside of his door, it was a chance he could not miss. He was out the door in a few moments and onto the streets of the german city. H.J. had an ulterior motive to sneaking about the streets of the European city. He had heard rumors of magical trading going on in the underground black market, and that one of them was planning on selling something big. He was performing extra-legal measures by even going their alone, as unskilled as he was, to make the arrest.

The magic items for sale on the Black Market were never anything remotely worth what it appeared to be, ancient "artifacts" and tomes or ancient magic were always passing through, but were never anything more the an empty book, or a fancy piece of jewelry. What H.J. was looking for was something not on the grid, something so rare that not even most artifact afficionados would know what it was. It was a Relic of the Abyss, from what he had been told, an ancient tool with enough power to kill entire cities of people should someone use it unknowingly; it was the mission of the Elliot family to make sure it did not come into the wrong hands. Of course this was all just a rumor, and the rest of his family could not be bothered with baseless fact from some strange contact.

Entering into some seedy bar at the end of a dark alleyway, H.J. was sure to be unimpressed by what he would find inside..

(Kinda short...)

The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt Empty Re: The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt

Elena had never been in Germany before, but it was a rather marvelous country. Not as good as her home New York, but still wonderful nonetheless. Her personal guards accompanied her, while the meat shields were left to guard her mansion. This was a personal mission that she was taking without the families interference. Also the Thiels were such a meddlesome bunch when they got into her affairs. Always wanting to control her, even if she had their precious amulet that kept them from harming her. Right now she was in search for rare magical artifacts that could prove useful in her plan on New York.

With a sort of grace she stepped down from her black limo. As it drifted around a curb, her two guardians with her. The warrior, and Aelia, both deadly in a fight. Malice lurked behind them with his dark piercing gold eyes. Elena never had to fight with them following her around. They were her perfect guard, always batting away any opposition that stood against her. Elena the mastermind behind them, and giving them deadly. Her first stop was a rather seedy bar, which was no place for a girl who appeared sixteen.

Elena stepped through the door first, followed by her three body guards dressed simply. There were many artifacts she was here for, though one was what caught her eyes. It was called a Relic of the Abyss, though what it did was unknown. With no time wasted she sat down, drawing some attention to herself sure. Though what they though mattered little to her. She was Elena Marie the head of the Thiels coven all across the United States. If she wanted to, she could have them all killed with a single word. Thats what true power felt like.

She sighed, looking to the two who were with her."I want all of you to behave, Malice you especially. Don't act unless I give you the signal, and not a moment before." She whispered only loud enough for them to hear her. As she looked over the bar with inquisitive eyes that belied her malevolence. All she had to do was wait.

"And also for sale, is this book of ancient horrors!"

H.J. took the guise of an old man, as was his custom when going undercover and wandered around the the suddenly spacious underground room. One the many gifts of magic, H.J. noted; to be able to convert such a small room at the end of the alleyway into what had amount to a long stretch of street that had plenty of vendors on the sides of the street and along the corners. It took the appearance of a dimly lit Arabian bazaar, the entire way was illuminated by a few wayward candles that floated through the air.

Wandering the street up and down, H.J. began to ask the same questions to each of the vendors, asking them for whatever rare goods they had. He would search through the artifacts and trinkets the vendors had, ignoring the fakes and replicas that had littered the area as of late, he continued through until he could feel the magic coming off of some of them. Even then, those items were not the Regalia of the Abyss.

He did however, notice the man wandering up the street alongside him, flanked at either side by two large figures dressed in cloaks. The man appeared to be middle aged, and possibly hunched from the stooped condition that he walked around in. Something about this man struck H.J. with a horrible feeling and chose to slowly follow him from behind.

Elena sat for only a few seconds before she stood up, to go on her search through the strange meeting place. It was like a market, and Elena always did enjoy a good market. First she perused the trinkets, which gave off no radiant energy of a magic artifact, well they looked like one. Though it was most likely just a fake made to make a quick buck. She would have to deal with that later, but now was her time to gather some pretty interesting tools. There was a glittering dagger that reeked of magic, and Elena bought it right up, for a bargain of 4,000 usd. With a sigh, she placed it into a pouch she had bought, only on the fact it looked nice. Mostly because she was in love with anything that was studded

Her eyes caught view of a few robed individuals who she had a feeling would be of importance. Elena's inuition has yet to prove her wrong, so she planned to follow them. With a simple motion, her guards stood up, and followed after her. As they were tailing the robed ones, Elena thinking of many ways to find out their secrets. Which anyone robed in black would have usually. Discretely she summoned a single crow in a corner, and had it fly slowly int he air. In a lazy fashion, as what it saw came to Elena. So it was more as an extra eye on the target. Also she was just being a nosy bitch.

Whoever he was, she would find out soon enough."Keep your eyes on them crow, I'm quite interested." She mentally commanded her summon.

The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt Empty Re: The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt

Thelonious didn't consider himself mystical or a mage or anything, but he was somewhat experienced with magic and often had magic employers. His employer this time was an old magician, too fragile to do anything by himself. "I think there is something going on in Germany, but I'm much too weak to handle it. Can you check it out for me. You will be rewarded properly." He had said to him hours before he had got here. He reached some kind of market where they were selling magical items.

Thelonious had his weapons to his side in case anything went wrong. He felt somewhat out of place due to the fact that they were tech weapons. He thought that he was being watched, and it made sense. He was quite large and to some, threatening. He looked around to see what was going on and he saw man walking, followed by a younger looking fellow and a crow seemed to be following him. Only slightly more suspicious than everything else here Thelonious thought. He decided to follow them, his hands on his M.A.R. teleporter in case he needed it.

H.J.'s tailing skills were not the best, and through some fault in his tracking mission, the man noticed him several meters behind him hidden. Preparing for the worst, H.J. started gathering energy into his hands as he was accustomed to and entered combat. The man, seeing the aggressive nature at which H.J. presented himself, took off down the street to the exit, leaving his two guards behind.

The pair shed their cloaks, revealing a mass of clockwork and gears underneath, which was covered lightly by a few plates of steel to cover only the most vital of weaknesses on the golem's bodies. They acted autonomously, and drew heavy swords from behind them in order to combat the more magically inclined opponent.

Starting off his battles simply, he took his magically charged hand and shaped it into a sphere and flung it at his opponent. With roughly the power of a magically powered punch, it slammed into the steel plating of the armor but left no marks, no damage, nothing. Moving on wheeled feet, the golems raced at H.J. with the speed of a motorcycle, making a deep crackle as the gears slid past each other, accelerating the machines towards H.J. ; taking the necessary precautions, H.J. threw up a shield of energy to stall long enough for him to come up with a counter to their marvelous speed.

Her eyes darted to the man in the front He was off before she could even think, followed by strange mechanical beings attacking a young man. This had just gotten a tad bit more interesting, though she was never one to look into mechanics. Just wasn't her field of expertise."I want you to corner him now." She ordered the man on her left, as he ran ahead with an inhuman speed, dashing past the mechanations, and heading to run ahead of the man leading the golems. Now she would have the freedom to deal with the artificial soldiers at her leisure. "Well then, though its beneath me, I guess its time to deal with these myself." Though she was stopped by the young lady in the long flowing black dress.

"You are the head of the house Thiels, I won't let you sully your hands on the likes of such worms." Her finger pointed at one of the things extended like a spear, aimed to impale its head. Going at a deadly speed, with a certain grace. Elena shrugged, though she wanted to have a little fun as well. Allowing her puppets to do the dirty work for her. So she leaned back, as pixie like wings appeared on her back. Holding her steady with in the naked air. Privy to the encounter now in progress.

The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt Empty Re: The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt

Post by Dynamic November 27th 2011, 8:05 pm

Thelonious was surprised to see some of the men remove their robe, only to be mechanical men. Hmm...is this some sort of magical tech...I'll have to study it more, but later. he thought. These mechanical men seemed to be aggressive and went towards him. Thelonious readied himself until he realized that they were after the person in front of him. He still had to help him as he didn't know how strong these golems were nor did he know how strong the mans "magic" was, seeing as his blast did little offensively.

Thelonious took his chain from his back and whipped at one of the golems, using his minor manipulation to have it avoid the man and wrap around their body. He then activated the electric shock feature of the chain which was critical to the mystic-robot thing. To further increase the damage, he swung the chain into the air and towards the ground. As an even further measure, he made sure the chain was still tight around the golem so he would not escape, or at least have a hard time doing so. "Now lets see what this man can do..." Thelonious said under his breath.

The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt Empty Re: The Amazing Clockwork Golems of Frankfurt

Post by H.J Elliot November 27th 2011, 10:18 pm

"Oh, looks like all that training paid off"

In the split second he created his barrier, he placed the thin rectangular screen in the midst of the golem's attack. With no way to gather kinetic force to pull through with the slash as its machinated hands hit the side of the wall with a thud. Unable to advance forward, the golems sat idly until they could break down the magical wall H.J. had created. This had bought H.J. enough time to gather his magic in his hands and prepared his only other offensive spell.

"Gather and shoot my enemy! Magic Machine-Gun!"

In between his hands, he released the ball of magical energy he had been conserving, pointing it outward with one palm behind the other, a continuous burst of magic shots flew from between his hands, flowing through the wall he had made to keep the golems at bay, they slammed into the side of the golems, one after the other. The shots caught the edge of the golems armor, rebounding off of them as they left heavy dents into it. From the sheer number of shots smashing into the chest cavity of either golem, it completely destroyed the inner frame work, causing them to fall apart on the floor.

"Shit, Become my stepping stone!"

Creating a thin layer of magical energy into the sky above him, H.J. climbed them like steps and ran across the magic platforms he created, intent on catching the man he was looking for from above.
