Nagato Empty Nagato

Post by Locke September 4th 2011, 1:27 am

Real Name: Izunami Nagato
Super Hero/Villain/Renegade/etc Name: None earned.
Title: None Earned.
Alignment: Chaotic Good (Hero)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Hair: Metalic Silver
Eyes: Also silver
Height: 5'6
Weight: 275lbs

Personality:

Nagato has two very distinctive personality traits. The first is his worth ethic. His work ethic is very admirable, taking the utmost seriousness in any task that he is given to complete. If there is a job to complete then it is best to give it your all no mater how small, after all, every job need some one to complete it.

The second personality trait is his laid back side. It seemed a stark comparison to his work ethic, about as different as work is from normal life. While not working, he as is laid back as one can be. Not to say that he is lazy, but that there is a time for work and a time for relaxation. He did his best to keep the two separated, but a particularly strong events on either side could tilt the balance.

His work ethic was something that had been inherited and modeled after his fathers. His father had been a prominent lawyer. However, he never learned much about his fathers work because his father left the doings of the office at the office. It was from him that Nagato learned that there was a place for work and a place for living. To work was to earn your right to live. To work hard was to increase your quality of life. Life gave the work meaning, there was little point in forsaking it for work.

To that extent, while he excelled at his studies, he reserved time everyday to do less productive things like spend time with his friends. However, upon beginning to study to be a ninja, he has focused more time on his studies, due to seeing value in them, and finding a purpose for his life in general.

The other aspect of his personality is a certain reservedness. From a young age, his body was much weaker then those around him, and his Chakra supply was very low, just enough to the point of keeping him alive. While something in his past corrected this, the inferiority and nervousness were never entirly eliminated. Rather then advancing faster then any of his pears having a positive effect on this, it was very well negative. After all, he was pushed ahead and suddenly found himself with older people rather then people his age, further complicating his complex.

Other then training, his interests as a boy had included camping and the strategic game of Go. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't particularly good at the game, despite his best efforts.

In general, he tends to enjoy people that are, quite simply, nice to him. A since of honor and fairness is good to, but as long as they're nice to him and don't cross any of his own moral lines to badly around him, he can usually overlook these flaws.

On the same token, people that are mean to him are disliked, as are people who trounce on his morality.

Speaking of this moral line, its rather simple. Avoid hurting women if possible. Avoid killing if possible. Avoid seriously harming if possible. So basically, kindness to women and children, as well as trying not to cause as much pain as possible. Other then that he hasn't had much time to developed morals in the field.

With regaurds to how he handles relationships to other people, Nagato is kind, if reserved. He wants to be accepted, as well as get along with every one. To this extent he is quick with a soft smile and a handshake, as well as a friendly greeting. However, he there is also a certain...inferiority about him. The quick smile is meant to disarm people around him, to keep them from growing angry or hostile with him.

At the first signs of anger or aggression he will most often back down and apologize even if it wasn't his fault, making him something of a pacifist. This, unfortunately, lends himself to be easily used by others, as it makes him somewhat of a self sacrificing person.

Because of this, he finds himself used more often then he finds himself with a true friend, if he has had any at all.

Due to the events listed in his history, Nagato's mind is scared with the image of blood on his body from his one true victim (in his mind), as well as a similar situation in which he failed to save a girl. Not only does illusion blood almost always run down his body, but also a pair of disembodied eyes follows him around. Mention, or intentional insult towards either of the women almost always will result in Nagato's cold rage, and the death of anyone not able to deal with this.

Baring that, he has become oddly comfortable with the hallucinations, and carries on his life as normal despite them. He acknowledges them as not real, just reminders of his sins and failures, similar to the metal scars that cover his torso, arms, and legs.

His personality has recently started to shift to a more detached feeling with the awakening of the gift that his first victim left him. The Doujutsu posses the ability to see the lines of fate running between everyone but the used, and the feeling that seeing absolutely everything around you far more in depth than anyone else can even imagine causes natural problems with feeling like you fit in.

He has, however, adapted rather well to the situation and is doing his best in order to deal with it. This means gaining as much insight as possible so that he can increase his effectiveness in the world. More and more though because of the tides that he sees both with the eye and what is obvious in the waking world he feels that he may no longer be able to remain idle and still. He may soon have to use his accumulated power to actually effect the world in some way.

Costume Description/Image: Fairly simple. The fluid metal in his body pulls around him, creating what resembles a perfectly silver suit of japanese like shogun armor and face mask.

History:

His father, as mentioned previously, was a lawyer, and a damned good one at that. Around the time of his birth, his father had been practicing law for nearly two decades, and had amassed a good reputation, and the kind of wealth needed to comfortably raise a family. As such, his mother was rather spoiled. Hired help cleaned and took care of the house, and she found it her job to lounge around, look pretty and lay on her back when her husband so desired.

That wasn't to say that his father didn't love his mother or that she wasn't a good woman, it was just that she wasn't anything special. She just happened to be the woman that his father fell in love with and made his own. She herself was a loving mother, even if she didn't inspire awe or motivation in her offspring...though perhaps that wasn't required in a parent.

His birth wasn't a surprise. His father and mother had been trying to conceive for nearly 5 years and believed that they would not be left wanting if the kept trying. There efforts were rewarded, though perhaps partially as a slap in the face. The baby born was small and unhealthy, barely alive and having to be tended to medically for the first two years of his life.

Even once out of the hospital and with his parents he never recovered entirely. His brain was strong, but his body was weak. Regardless of what he did, his body almost always let him down, thus most of his time was spent around the house. He didn't let it get his down,, however, and he did his best to stay outside, not wanting to be different.

Unfortunately, such things were not to be happy. At four, Nagatos condition took a turn for the worse, and he found himself in a deep coma. His parents did everything they could, his father spending everything he had to make sure his child remained as healthy as could be. His condition was stabilized, but it looked grim. Trapped within the coma, there was no sign of improvement for several months.

After 6 months of coma, however, Nagato finally woke up. No brain damage was present, much to his parents relief. As it turned out, the reason for the coma was that by staying active, he had taxed what little energy his body had available for it. In order to preserve itself, it had shut down to preserve and build up enough energy to remain alive. Warned not to over exert himself again, Nagato was released to go home.

Do to the expense of the medical treatments, his father was forced to sell their large house in town, and the three of them moved outside of the town proper, to a run down section on the outer rim. His fathers profession assured that they would eventually once more have the finances to move back up, but it would take time to recover from the blow.

Come the tender age of five years old. Young Nagato and his parents were faced with a choice. A visitor had heard of their sharp young child and the chains holding him back. This stranger offered them a cure, but warned them that it carried a cost. He had only tested it on himself, and it had only been partially effective. He would have to imbued it so far within the child's core that it would change his every being, altering him both on a directly physical and genetic level.

The parents, wanting to give their child every chance, reluctantly agreed. The visitor also had a stipulation. If it worked, the child must train for, and become, a Hero. They had questioned this, and his answer had been a simple one. He had had no children of his own, and this child would serve as his legacy, in exchange for being given the opportunity. His request was accepted, even if regrettably. He numbed the child's body, and set about a grueling course of surgery and strange seals around the boy that seemed to channel Energy into his very being.

48 hours later, it was done, and the stranger left. Give it 24 hours, he had said. If he wakes up by then it worked. They asked him if he didn't want to stay to see the results. He had merely smiled and said either way, his own fate was already sealed. All his hopes rested in the boy that he had helped create. There was a small sorrow in his eye, however, and he questioned if, perhaps, it had been wrong to play God for his own sake.

The child did come through, and heal up miraculously. However, it hadn't looked like the ordeal had done anything good for him, but time would show differently. Within the next few months, his physical abilities had grown a great deal, catching up to and surpassing the standards for his age. As the process began to show its worth, he devoted himself to his promise, and began training himself.

Despite his best efforts, however, his muscles never grew more then the tinyist of bits. Oddly enough, however, he did grow stronger, and faster. The more he trained and worked, the more that he seemed to grow, even if he didn't physically show it. He was stronger and faster then any boy his age. Coupled with the Control he had gained to cope with his weak body, he was a peak specimen.

Regardless of how he was trained, his body seemed to develop at his own rate. A week of training his physical strength may instead make him quicker. A week of training his speed might make him more nimble. It was found that even if he did nothing, his skills still improved, even if it was at a diminished rate. It was almost as if something inside of him was growing, rather then him himself.

He remembered the operation. He remembered what he was told. Nothing of his bodily abilities would be his own. His body would grow strong on its own, but he had to train his mind to be sharp. The body was a tool to be wielded by the brain, and he had been given a powerful tool indeed, but he had to decided how he wanted to use it.

The first thing that he trained himself to do was to manipulate not his own Energy, but the Energy of the living metal within him. It hadn't been difficult, and had actually came to him rather easy. It was, perhaps, designed to be that way. So while his own body had been weak, and he had lacked much energy, his new symbiont had enough to spare.

It wasn't long into the school that his quick smile and sincere nature earned him a few friends. Unfortunately, these were not the kinds of friends that a kid would want, as they took advantage of his kindness and the fact that he didn't seem to catch on. Little things like doing homework or borrowing money. Any time he thought negatively he sensitized himself mentally for thinking such bad things about his friends. After all they were nice and spent time around him, so he was over reacting.

The fact that his body grew without him focusing on training it meant that his mind could be focused on his studies. This allowed for tremendous growth in a short time. Class room work could be learned quickly, and he could focus on the technical aspects of martial arts that would be required to be a “hero” rather then spend his time building the strength to carry them out.

Due to this work ethic and devotion to his mental studies, he graduated from school at a young age.

Around the time of him graduating, he began to have strange dreams. These dreams involved the death of his father and the rise of some darkness, its name and figure being that of manifested and as contradictory as it may seem, organized Chaos. Born within him, it admits to being his own Chaos made real.

About a month following his graduating from school, and beginning to play vagabond and learning his own ropes for beign a hero, he took on the task of finding a missing girl.. Of course as an inexperienced hero, he wasn't expected to manage this, but he did. During the course, however, he found himself thrust into a political nightmare that shattered his world as the truths of the shadow organization controlling the his home city.

The girl had been kidnapped in order to study her Power, a genetic ability that was passed down through her family, the nature of which he never discovered, in order for its effects to possibly be replicated. Discovering Nagato's unique traits during the rescue attempted, he was captured by the man running it and forced to endure more than a month of torture with little rest between sessions as they tried to break his mind to both learn the secrets of his abilities as well as turn him into a useful puppet.

In the end, he was forced to kill the girl he was sent to save, herself encouraging it so that he could live, and the raw emotion later gave him the power to overcome the pain and slaughter his captor without mercy. Reports hadn't been made about him due to the person that captured him not having anything useful to actually report. He destroyed the hidden base and all evidence that he had been there, while taking the body of the girl with him and preserving it until he found a place to bury it properly. He also took with him the samles of her DNA that had been distilled, vowing that they wouldn't go to waste or be used by any evil so long as he lived.

Tortured, betrayed, and overall humiliated, he escaped from what he considered the darkness of his home city to find life elsewhere, his family agreeing to move with him.

The wounds that he suffered from these events never healed, instead the skin has been sealed with "metal scars" as the psychological trauma front he events haunts him. Further to this point, a disembodied pair of eyes, the eyes of the girl he killed, follows him around wherever he goes, and he can almost always see her blood dripping down his body.

A year into living in his new city, he was drafted for a top secret, multinational group of heroes for a specific assignment, depending on their actions to not only subdue a creature of massive power, but also discover the details of a deadly plague that was spreading from a foreign nation. He was, at first, mostly written off by the group, but proved his abilities later own, even if he did come the worst for the wear out of their battles, brought literally to the point of death with only fate bringing him back.

His opponent was a fairly young woman, whom he found out was controlled by some force. He managed to separate her from this control following his brush with death, but she was killed by the military force sent to finish the job. This added to his damaged mind from the last girl he attempted to save, causing the massive wounds to his body to once again fail to heal properly, and another layer of metal scars to cover him. Further than this, two pairs of eyes now follow him wherever he goes.

Three months after moving to Leaf, he found himself as a temporary, though quickly transferred to the permanent, mission sorter. His job is to simply go through the huge stacks of mission requests, sort out those that aren't legit, and sort the ones that are into their proper mission classification. Its a job that he's taken to with surprising vigor, even drawing small comics on the paperwork for the chuunins to flip through while handing out assignments. The position was originally given to him to give him some time to relax from the previous mission he had mistakenly been sent on, but his superior had refused to let him go following it.

It was about six months following him being coming to leaf, and around his 14th birthday, that he found himself engaging in a massive fighting tourney hosted by an independent group. While the events and matches were exciting, Nagato came off somewhat disappointed, having won the entire thing with relative east. He used a portion of the money he won to buy himself a large plot of land within his new city, and give the two women that haunted him a proper burial. They had been touched by the gesture, as he could tell from their eyes, but they still followed him.

Shortly after, he became placed on a small super hero team. The team consisted of himself, and the Daughter of the cities most prominent hero, who as it turns out happens to be borderline insane. Their leader, Oushi, turned out to be pretty cool though. After some training and testing the full extent of Nagato's abilities, he placed limiters on him to prevent him from causing to much damage with his inexperience. There are a few conditions on releasing the limits, though he is free to do so against stronger opponents.

As it turned out, Oushi had requested Nagato be specifically on the team due to the fact that they had worked together on the classified mission before. at first Nagato had been flattered, but he slowly began to get the feeling that Oushi was concerned about Nagato's level of strength, and wanted to monitor him. Nagato holds no unpleasant feelings towards his, as he would have done the same thing placed in Oushi's position.

A solo mission saw him running into yet a vagabond super human of the same group he had fled, this one much more dangerous than the ones before him. He wasn't a dog of organization though, as Nagato would learn later, but he had spotted Nagato's oddities with his own ability. Nagato had fought the criminal, perhaps even pushing him a bit, but in the end was defeated with relative ease.

He woke up in a small camp that the man had made, and after more proper introductions they had gotten to know each other a bit before parting, Nagato on his way to finish his mission and the vagabond off to god only knew where.

Upon returning home, upon a bright lit moon night, a young woman, revealed to be a Hunter of great skill, perhaps slightly lower than that of the vagabond he had faced, confronted him, sent by the Organization tired of losing lesser pawns in their attempts to capture him. His innate abilities preventing her most dangerous techniques from working, and his physical abilities far outclassing her own, Nagato's superior tactics allowed him to pull an upsetting victory over her. Through conversation between them, This hunter found herself questioning the organization.

For intents and purposes, his team regarded his usefulness as one simple thing: survivability. They could throw him at any situation and have a good expectation of it working out. Such a useful thing couldn't be used on sensitive or particularly dangerous missions, however, for the magic might run out. By keeping him on tasks that just ran the risk of danger, rather than being outright dangerous, they got to make sure that everything they needed handled continued to be so.

He did manage to play a role in the development and eventual fate of the the city through solving of several murders as well as hunting down and eliminating, though not necessarily through death, several spies and assassins dispatched by the Organization in order to capitalize on his new cities political instability and further encourage the situation. The rules of the city, of course, weren't to happy about this fact but has thus far avoided direct confrontation with the organization.

At this time, his team disbanded as each of the others had things come up in their lives. Nagato took a leave from his heroing in order to retire for a bit. Relaxation, training and meditation came over him, and he took the time allotted to him to meditate and hone his mind in order to come to terms with everything that had transpired in the last few months.

During this time he wasn't able to find peace in his mind and soul, and after a few weeks of trying to settle himself the end conclusion was simply that peace wasn't his to find. The Ghosts of his past continued to haunt him though his mind was, as usual, able to reason them out enough to function normally despite this fact. Sleep became increasingly rare and he suspected it was a result of the metal replacing more of his body and reducing the rest his biological components actually need as a result.

Emotionally, however, he was able to settle his mind with regards to the past few months, if not the specific events that haunt him. Further, and perhaps more importantly, he was able to reach into his own mind and come to a conclusion regarding the Organization.

For now, his mind is set on heading back to Organization when he grows strong enough, and settling the score for his Original Sin, even if he has little idea of where this journey will start. After all, it was because of that Sin he was still alive. He had no right or claims to happiness as that life came at the cost of hers...as long as her blood was still on his hands.

Character Image/Description:

Nagato isn't one to be easily over looked and forgotten in a crowd. Standing at Five feet six, height doesn't make him glaringly obvious. However, with his means of dress, his unusual eye and hair color, and the demeanor he usually carries around with him, he wouldn't be able to hide in a crowd if he wanted to. These traits stem from the infusion of metal with in him, and the only thing that lets him live as a hero.

His Garb is a simple black shirt and pants that hug his figure fairly tightly. However, this has been changed by himself. Seeking out the metal do it, he eventually located the correct materials to design intricate silver tribals up and around both sides giving it a very eye catching and sharp appearance, especially when taken in context with his hair.

The triabals are like flames crawling up the surface of the black cloth, lending them selves to represent the fiery soul inside of him.... even if in reality that soul is rather withdrawn and contains a certain fear for the world around him, a trait kept on from the weakness of his youth.

His eye and hair come from his family. It was said that at some point in his families history one of his ancestors had been visited by a celestial, causing their offspring to occasionally bare bright silver hair and eyes. To the more reasonable of folks, it was assumed to be a random mutation that had survived because it was found to be unique and attractive, thus insuring that its possessor would find a mate.
Or that was the story told anyways.

In truth, the hair and eye color were caused by the metal within his body, the metal itself actually present in his hair, causing it to have a slightly stiff and upwards holding, similar to popular anime characters.

His body is rather frail looking, without much athletic look or strength to it. He also carried around a very slight tan. Being naturally pale, such a tan is hard to maintain however.

Bones seem to show to a extent, indicating a small amount of malnourishment. While this isn't exactly the case, vitamins don't flow through him as effectively as the should. Further, the metal within him is slightly toxic, causing further difficulties on top of what it helps. Because of this, he often has to make trips to the hospital to be treated for poisoning.

His face is long rather then round, with a chin that was neither pronounced nor sunken. His ears framed his face with attached lobes, and his nose sat perfectly as it should, between his silver eyes. His lips were, perhaps, a touch above normal size, and his eyebrows had a good centimeter of space between them. Facial hair has yet to come on him, and his smile is an easy one.

Metallic scars cover the roughly a third of his torso, caused by psychological wounds attached to the injuries causing them to never heal correctly. Its for this reason that he is almost always seen fully clothed, only very rarely exposing the scars to others as they are both a sign of his tortured past and his failures....as well as his sins.

Roleplay Sample:

Flashes on inspiration, whispers in the dark promising the power she felt creeping through her dreams, the feeling of her skin crawling as electricity and something all too familiar crept across it... these were one of the many standard phenomenon that made up the majority of her reality, and those that she took most to heart. She had mastered these techniques before, brought them to bare and shaped them from the raw energy of the world around her like a child's plaything... but that was a long time ago, and the powers had since left her.

The night air swept through, cool with the moisture of the lake. Her arms swung in a crescent in imitation of the waxing and waning of the moon as her feat twisted in a rhythmic dance. An onlooker would find the seen odd, the lone figure dancing naked upon the lake with fluid, natural movements and a glazed look on their face revealing lack of conscious awareness of the world around them.

Amaterasu's mind was floating somewhere that only she could go, listening to the voices that only her madness made real. A sane person might question the validity and existence of these voices, might speculate them as simply manifestations of her own shattered psych, but the body dancing on the lake's surface, luminescent with the ambient chakra collecting on it like dew, bore testament to the power of either or both.

The body's motion ceased suddenly, abruptly, form snapped rigged. On the tip of her toes she stood, back arched and head tilted back allowing her hair to trace the lakes surface. Arms were held at either by the legs, wrists displayed in a show of openness. And at once her eyes lids opened, pools of swirling purple chakra where her eyes should be.

”Tsukuyomi; Sister...” Her voice was at once calm and serious, hesitant and excited, as though speaking to a loved one you hadn't seen in many years. ”I am for the moment awakened, free from the shackles that chain my psych in this mortal world. I asked that you free my body from them as well.”

For a moment, nothing physical happened, though there was a slight sense of...calm, as though the world had paused for the briefest of seconds, and then a pulse suddenly echoed forth from her and across the surface of the lake causing a perfect three inch ripple to spread out from her and lap against the shore in sequence.

The chakra that had collected on her skin suddenly grew excited, spreading around her in ambience while taking on a light purple hew. For a moment, she seemed to levitate above the water before drifting lightly to the surface, head tilting down to observe the effects of her awakening. A slight, sad, smile came across her features as she took a moment. ”It seems that my mortal form is too weak to handle awakening any more of the truth than this” She glanced to the sky for a moment, stating clearly to the sky above, ”Thank you for doing what you could, Sister. It's up to me now, even as I dance under you in your time on this world.”

Gently she brought her arms to rest crossed over her chest, one hand gently resting on her cheek in though, attempting to remember what she could about how to increase the abilities of her mortal shell. It had been so long since her consciousness had awoken on the mortal plain...so long had she slept that she had forgotten what I meant to live as one of them.

She idly lowered the hand from her cheek and pointed forwards with her pinky and ring finger bent back, middle and index finger extended and thumb out to the side. “The whole becomes undone, raveling into the parts that compose it. Assault of the divine One; Shatter.” The ambient chakra in the air at that point swirled into life giving off energy in the form of light, and with a slight nod of her head it suddenly broke into tiny slivers rocketing forwards, quickly crossing the surface of the lake and cutting into the bark of a tree. Even from her she could tell the damage was superficial, barely cutting through the bark with some minor cuts on the wood under. It gave her a gauge of her bodies abilities though.

A light from the corner of her eye caught her attention and she inclined her head in that direction to observe what she had seen. In the distance were a multitude of metal, stone and glass structures rising above the rocks and woods, peaking even through the thick mist that naturally laid over the area. Curiosity came over her and she raised her eyebrows. “How long have I been asleep?” She murmured, as reality faded around her.

Warm drifting on hot, the breath of the desert as it shifted along it's natural course from morning into the day. The sand around her swirled like dust, flowing up and along the endless sea of dunes she was standing it. Eyes carried to the side to see green grass and trees, and a pool of water that they surrounded. A perfect little oasis in the middle of the endless desert. Her feat carried her forwards towards it without her giving them any specific commands to. Something was there, something calling her and promising her everything... The feeling of a hand gently stroking her hair drew in the focus of her mind, and her thoughts centered on a location external of where she was in a confused state, and a female voice whispered in her ear, ”I'm sorry.”

She sat up slowly, eyes glancing around the near pitch black room, ears perked up for the sounds of possible assassins. Convinced the it was secure, or as convinced as she could be, she rose from her spot on the floor and collected one of her body suits, dressing in it slowly as she took time to reflect over the dreams that she had had. The last had been a recurring one, so not something that she was concerned about. The first one though was...unique.

Recalling how the energy felt flowing through the woman in the dream, speaking the incantations that she had spoke, she felt energy from the world around her rush in and through her. A purple aura sprang to life around her fed from the energy racing through her, causing minor scorches across the floor under her. A slight smile came to her face as she flexed her fingers, feeling the power rushing through her. This was the strength she had been looking for, the power that she deserved...but it wasn't enough. She could feel more still sleeping, more that she could claim as her own...but she also innately understood her body didn't have the strength to support it.

There were two other abilities that the woman had utilized. One was far too dangerous to test in her current location though. She wasn't aware of the actual power the massive blast contained, and wasn't willing to risk obliterating her small refuge from the world. That left her focus on the other ability that had been displayed, the explosion of scattered energy. While the individual shards hadn't looked particularly powerful, she was fairly certain if she used it in close range it could lead to serious blood loss and lacerations. A slight grin came over her features, here away from the world where she didn't have to pretend. It looked to be incredibly painful, just the type of technique she needed to keep possible opponents at bay.

She reached her hands out forwards and concentrated, thinking about the dream she had that night. ”“The whole becomes undone, raveling into the parts that compose it. Assault of the divine One; Shatter.” Energy formed into a baseball sized ball of glowing energy. She studied it for a moment, not detonating it, and instead let it fizzle out. The technique wasn't difficult, now that she understood how it worked.

Once more she repeated the incantation, this time focusing on the energy as it rushed in. By exerting more energy, she was able to force more energy to condense into a ball before her, this time about the size of a watermelon. With sheer force of will, she forced the ball into the size of the previous one, though much brighter and full of power. With a snap of her fingers she allowed it to explode forwards, stabbing into the wood at the other end of the room about ten feet off. It didn't pierce totally through, instead managing to puncture into it. Shards of pure energy stuck from the wall random assortments of inches apart, varying between 1/10th to an inch in the wood.

She walked forwards to inspect the shards closer, but after a few moments they dissolved back into chakra, dispersing into the room. Even as it did, thoughts of variations came to her mind, versions that would leave splinters of crystallized chakra in the wounds after dispersal causing long term impairment. She tapped her chin while thinking it over, and knew that it was a practical idea. However, given her current chakra capacity and control, she'd have to sacrifice power for the added effect. To do both she'd have to wait until her skills in manipulation were greater...and that wasn't something she felt confident to accomplish at this stage of her growth.

Still. It was a success, and anyone that mistook her for a genjutsu user with no way of defending herself was in for a nasty surprise if they tried to take advantage of that fact.

STR: 0
SPD: 1
END: 1
INT: 5
EP: 1
FS: 3

Metal's Power Grid:
STR: 3
SPD: 2
END: 5
INT: 0
EP: 3
FS: 0

"Balanced" to 22 points. 5int, 1ep, 3fs = 9 points. 3str, 2spd 5end 3ep = 13 points. Total = 22 points.

I basically "spent" all points that are applicable in a fight, and figured no one would fault my character having 1 in speed / strength on my base character :-p. I did spend the 1 point in EP in the actual character, as I intend for him to have his own minor power at some point.

Why dont you make two powergrids that equal 22 points? Say that your guy shape shifts one into the other. Give him a certain ep for both for him to change back and forth. Ill link you to one of my characters that has shape shifting abilities.

http://superhero-rpg.forumotion.com/t2116-deathreaper

He can change back and forth when he wants. I give 2 ep to both power grids to change back and forth and to change up there powergrids. But they both have 22 points.

Changed. Base form can't be any higher than that. He's weak, frail and doesn't know -that much- about fighting.

I may not have read the app properly but why have you got two powergrids? From the way you've worded the powers it's like there are almost two characters involved... Who exactly IS metal? And also you put the personality up twice. (:
