Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Artemis March 1st 2011, 10:32 pm

Artemis walked the streets of DC, surprisingly no one had recognized her human form. She knew she had been shown of the magic black box in the window before. She traveled here on accident after she entered a strange metal bird while disguised as a mouse. It was different then what she was used to. Not as many big skyscrapers as her other city. It also seemed a bit more crowded. But she walked until something caught her eye. A large white house with a tall fence around it. She stood outside of the gate, wondering what was in there.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 8:02 am

Pain was a wandering nomad, he enjoyed walking extremely long distances and traveling from city to city. To most others, this would be an impossible feat, but the big man rarely ever needed sleep or rest. He just stayed at hotels when he wanted to relax and clean himself up, and just ate where ever or what ever the hell wanted. He found himself in DC on this day, wandering away from the hotel he was staying at. The big man was dressed in something very similar to his usual attire, a tight white t-shirt with his logo on the sleeve, long black jeans, black fingerless gloves, and black combat boots. He wasn't sure where he was walking to or even what he was doing, but anything was better than doing nothing. He strolled casually with both hands dug into his pockets, leaving his thumbs hanging out. A shriveled up cigarette hung loosely between his lips, puffing on it as he wandered the busy streets of DC.

He eventually ended up at the gates of the white house, and what he saw made him raise an eyebrow. Fate would have that he ran into this young beautiful and unique looking woman today. Her clothing barely covered her shapely figure, it looked like they were way too small for her. She was standing outside the gates of the White house, looking very confused and interested in the building, almost like a child would be. She looked very suspicious staring at it like that, Pain figured he should go check it out and see if she was planning something. She seemed too distracted to notice him so he quietly walked over to her, moving to stand a few feet behind her. "Yo. What are you up to girlie?" He stated boldly in his very rough and deep voice, being slightly muffled by the cigarette hanging between his lips.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Artemis March 2nd 2011, 3:49 pm

Artemis smelt the smoke before she the person smoking the cigarette approached her. It wasn't a very pleasant smell. But then the person asked what she was up to. She turn to see who was talking to her. Her eyes scanned over her as she answered questions that flew through her head. Looks capable, strong, fast, a good hunter, looks like he could take a hit. "Could be a good candidate to meet my pack..." she murmured. Then she broke out of the stream of questions that ran through her head to answer the mans question. "An alpha lives here, a very powerful alpha. I'm going to challenge him. Who else could like in a den like this."

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 4:10 pm

Pain found this woman to be rather strange, she didn't act like any normal person would. He could barely make out what she muttered under her breath, but it sounded like she was talking about him meeting some one. Now that the two were standing toe to toe, his icy blue optics met her brown eyes. He examined the woman head to toe, she was clearly very physically fit, and the one thing that stuck out the most was the bear paw tattoo she had on her lower stomach. Who ever she was, everything about her seemed far different from a normal human.

He inhaled a heavy drag from his cigarette as he softly shook his head at her. She was intending to break into the white house and take it over? What the hell was wrong with this woman? He spoke as he exhaled the thick gray smoke. "There aint an alpha in there. Just a buncha' pricks." He inhaled one final drag from his cigarette before spitting it out onto the floor. "Just what the hell are you thinkin' anyway? That's the damn white house."

"If there is no alpha here why is he guarded." asked Artemis referring to the secret service men which stood scattered on the yard. "Someone powerful must live here, I should challenge the alpha, gain land for my pack..." She turned back around and continued to look at the house. "The white house...." said Artemis turning the name in her mouth like she was trying a new food. "Who are you... why do you ask these obvious thing." asked Artemis not breaking her trance on the house.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 4:57 pm

Pain softly chuckled at her, finding her reasoning to be pretty funny. She obviously didn't get it, she sounded almost like an animal with the way she talked. What was with this girl? She thought she could just take over the white house like it was nothing? She couldn't be a normal human if she intended to do that, or maybe she was just crazy. And what the hell did she mean by 'gain land for my pack'? He had a lot of questions running through his head about her, but he wasn't too big on asking questions; he'd keep his thoughts to himself.

The Big Man smirked slyly when she asked who he was and why he was questioning her. "They call me Pain, and I aint about to let you try what ever the hell you're planning." He stated in his rough voice as he stood casually with both hands dug into his pockets; not changing his stance since he got here. His icy blue optics glared at the back of her head, ready to make a move at any moment if she did.

"Your weird..." said Artemis. "If your part of there pack why are you out here?" She turn back toward pain. "I like you.... i think my pack will too... normally people dont stand up to me, this is a welcome change. You'll be a good addition... be able to help with hunts." She turned back to the gates of the white house. "But first, business must be taken care of." She leaned forwards towards the gate and transformed into a snake and slithered through the bars. Once through the bars she changed into a mouse and ran towards the white house.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 5:49 pm

Another soft chuckle escaped through his nose, so he was weird huh? He couldn't help but smirk at that, he was being called weird yet this woman was over here talking like she was a damn animal. "I aint apart of any pack. I lead my own." He said boldly in response to her question.

The woman turned around to look into Pain's icy blue eyes again, the first words coming out of her mouth being 'I like you'. The Big Man immediately rose a brow at her, what the hell did she mean by that? He listened to her speak, but Pain was having a hard time figuring out what she meant by all of that. Was she trying to recruit him into her 'pack'?

Unfortunately, despite his bold warning, the woman was too persistent and moved to put her crazy plan into action. Pain was a little shocked to see her transform into a snake and slither through the gates, he hadn't expected it so he had no time to stop her. He kept his eyes closely on her, watching her transform into another animal; a little mouse. Well, at least he was right about her being an animal. "Great...Why do women always have to be so damn difficult?" He uttered to himself in his rough voice.

Making sure to hold back nearly all of his strength, with a simple leap Pain easily cleared the fence. He landed on both feet and began casually walking after the mouse, digging his hands back into his pockets. Luckily no security had noticed them just yet, but surely wouldn't take long. "Yo ya little rat. Better take it easy before I gotta rough ya up." He said loudly to her as she ran away from him in animal form.

He called her a little mouse. She was a bit hurt and happy with it. She ran around the house, making sure to stay ahead of the man. He said he wasn't part of the pack the alpha was apart of. She didn't understand why he was trying to stop her. She found a partially open area in the house and began biting at the wood. She needed to get in. She got around half way through the door before she was able to squeeze through it.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 6:48 pm

Pain sighed and his shoulders temporarily slumped, of course she wouldn't listen to his threats, she was a god damned animal! The little rodent was picking up her pace, so the big man had to as well. He removed his hands from his pockets and began running after her around the house. He didn't move at full speed, but he moved more than quick enough to catch up to her. She had been trying to gnaw her way into the building, but Pain would try to stop her just in time. He moved his massive hand forward to grip the mouse's tail just before she could squeeze into the building. He quickly pulled her out and held her upside down by the tail, letting her dangle in front of his face. This is what the world's greatest hero was doing? Chasing around a mouse that was trying to break into the white house? He felt like this couldn't be real, like it was a stupid dream, but he knew that this was reality. Man, why was he even wasting his time?

"Alright ya little rat. I'm done playin' games." He threatened in his deep voice, a fierce expression held upon his face as he glared at the little mouse.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Artemis was pulled back right before she could make it into the building. She squealed a bit struggling. But after awhile she stop struggling and stared at pain innocently. Her head cocked to the side. She couldn't understand what was with this guy. If he lead his own pack, why defend this one? She transformed back to human. Making it so that instead of Pain holding onto a tail he was holding on to her limited amount of shorts. "Your weird you make no sense?" said Artemis upside down. "Are you mating with the alpha female? Is that why you protect this other pack?" She asked innocently. Her head was still a bit cocked to the side.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 7:56 pm

The Big Man rose his eyebrow at her as she stared innocently into his bright blue eyes. His fierce expression quickly faded, she didn't seem to have evil intentions at all. She seemed more like she was confused, and despite her being a mouse, the look in her eyes seemed innocent.

Pain hadn't expected her to transform back into her human state, and he was stuck holding her upside down by the back of her tiny shorts. He was a little startled to see her so quickly transform. Okay, the big man understood her powers now, so she could shape-shift into animals. Weird power, he hadn't seen something like that since the fight with Dr.Everyone. He let her go and quickly caught her again by the ankle, he didn't exactly want to hold her up like that.

She was the weird one, not him, damn. He couldn't help but smirk when she asked him if he was 'mating' with the alpha female and if that was why he protected them. "Nah, I aint got a mate.. I protect any 'pack', doesn't matter who you are. If you need savin', I got your back. It's called bein' a hero." He still continued to hold her upside down, not even really thinking about it.

It was nothing but luck that security hadn't noticed them, either that or they knew it was Pain and just didn't bother to stop him. Everyone knew about Pain, and no one ever really told him what to do. He had earned that.

"What is a hero? And what is a girlie?" said Artemis. "You don't make sense, why be a lone wolf instead of being in a pack? You have no family to help protect your land, or fight with you?" A barrage of questions came out of mouth after that. They all made sense to her, she wanted to know about this strange lone wolf. "Do you want a pack? You can join my pack! My dad said if i find a mate i can bring him back! You could be part of my family! You can help hunt, protect the pack and all the other stuff we have to do." Just then someone finally noticed them. "Hey what are you two doing here!" yelled the guard.

Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person) Empty Re: Survival in The nation's capital (Open to one person)

Post by Pain March 2nd 2011, 9:30 pm

Pain was barraged with questions, they were coming at him too quickly for him to even give an answer to one of her questions. He instead just softly chuckled at her, she was kind of funny, a weird kind of funny. How could she not know what a hero was? Why was she so curious about him? He couldn't help but keep asking himself, what the hell is wrong with this chick? "You sure ask a lotta' questions." He stated in his rough voice to the still upside down woman. He hadn't let her go of her yet because he wasn't sure if she'd try something if he released her. He couldn't risk her running off and hurting some one, if she was truly dangerous, the big man would have no choice but to take her to a high-security prison.

Her next question sounded very odd to him and confused him a little. She flat out asked him if he wanted to join her pack and be her mate. He wasn't sure what to make of that, just what the hell kind of pack was she talking about anyway? "Be your mate? Join your family? Take it easy, we just met."

Pain looked over to the guard with a vicious glare, upon his face was an extremely fierce and intimidating expression. He held the young woman upside down by the back of her shorts still, refusing to let her go until she could be trusted. "This is hero business. Back off punk." That's all it took for the big man to make that guard leave them alone. The second he recognized it was Pain, the man immediately regretted even saying anything, fear being struck to his entire body as he slowly walked away

"Well if you meet my pack we would be unjust met right?" said Artemis. She saw the look pain gave the guard which made him walk away. "You'll either be liked in my pack or hated... can't tell which yet." said Artemis. "Also you don't seem to be as mean as you make yourself out to be... your kind i can tell. Can you at least meet my pack? I think you will like them." Then the questions resumed. "Hey how the black magic boxes work? Why are there oversize metal birds? why are there metal beetles that everyone rides around with? Why do people live in boxes? Why do we have to wear strange things called clothes, I find them unconformable. alot of the time. Why do some people tie parts of there family to ropes?" She asked things that didn't make sense to her but her last question was the one that stuck out the most. "Why are you holding me upside down is this some strange pre-mating ritual?"
