Now arriving in Cincinnati. The Divine Empress descends upon our world. (Invite)

A series of odd events transpired to make everyone unhappy. First, Bliss stepped from the manhole with her trap set. Little good it did when a blast of fiery energy hit her, drawing every bead of sweat from her and threw her further down the street. A telekinetic shield kept her skin still attached to her body, but it did very little to keep her comfortable or in control. While the fiery attack continued, a winged man plummeted to the ground, shattering the asphalt and letting loose all the pent up gas Bliss unleashed beneath the street. As the gas seeped out of the crevices, the fiery blast ignited the gas lines, causing a line of flames to erupt through the street all around Remiela and Brandon.

Feeling some compassion for her companion, Bliss would pull him from the flames with a telekinetic pull. She would charge him later, but for now, she would hope the trap did enough to burn away Remiela's delusions of grandeur. Or her skin. Maybe more of her skin.

Right now, Remiela was behaving like a predator as she hunted down the woman that had been trying to interfere in the divine empress' plans despite not having a clue what they entailed. The moment she came up from being underground, she was met with a blast of Remiela's fiery aura, and was sent flying away, lucky to be alive. Lucky, again and again she was lucky. Luck was really the only thing keeping this Bliss person alive. That needs to cease, and she needs to die already.

The alien overlord began to walk over towards where Bliss now lay to finally end her. "I've grown tired of our little game of chasing you around. I'm going to kill you now and be on my way." she spoke without a trace of humility. She stopped walking towards her target when she saw the winged man flying in. The building was clearly a lost cause, so it seemed he was rejoining the fight. He landed on the ground, then took off into the sky and started flying around. "Somebody decided to save themselves. Probably smart of him to do so." she thought as she watched him leave.

Remiela turned back to Bliss and saw gas coming up from the ground. Was this what she had been up to? Always with these strange plans. The gas itself wouldn't be of any trouble if it weren't for the fact that it was mixing with her own energy attack. Remiela growled in anger as an explosion occurred. She wrapped herself in a telekinetic barrier as the flames of the explosion roared and flew over her. The divine empress then propelled herself airborne to escape the explosion. She emerged from the flames less like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and more like a demon emerged from hell. The telekinetic barrier visibly faded away as she was now free from the range of the explosion, and looked in not the best condition.

After the flames of the explosion died down some, Remiela stared down at Bliss and addressed her. "Very well, have it your way then. Not like it matters anyway. I did what I came here for, and it's impossible for you to prevent." she stated and then began to fly away.
