Corra Empty Corra

Post by Corra February 14th 2012, 10:23 am

Real Name: Cadia Jhylaelia Vystori (Translated this means Happy Lovely Promise)
Super Villian Name: Corra (In elven this name is roughly translated into Killer)
Title: The elves call her Corra Bai (killer of joy) her secondary title that is more well known is "Death's Apprentice"
Alignment: Villainess (But I'm interested in being a Harbinger)
Age: 200 (She's only been alive for about 25 of those years though, but it's kinda hard to tell how old she is by looking at her)
Gender: Female
Race: Dark Elf / Undead
Hair: White (But there is a slight sickly green hue to it in the moonlight)/ Purple
Eyes: Red/Purple
Height: 5'9
Weight: 135 lbs

Costume Description/Image:
Cadia's "outfit" she is still seen as a criminal and doesn't care much to hide her identity, yet the sheer difference she takes on when Corra makes it hard to tell that they are the same person thus hiding her identity:
Spoiler:

Personality:
To put thing simply before I begin, Corra is a seperate personality from Cadia but they are the same person; she is the persona of the Cadia who was once alive but taking on the personality after being in Hell. (So it's something like this; Cadia is the persona of the past before her death and Corra is the persona of Cadia in the present after the death)

Cadia
Cadia has a dark, calm and crafty sort of personality birthed from spending 21 years in the bowls of a sacrificial tent with nothing to do but write and read and try to escape. Because of this she is very intelligent and skilled in the art of deceit. Another issue of having spent her entire living life in a tent away from people, she prefers to stay away from crowds when possible and spends most of her time around the dead, mainly in graveyards and/or morgues and mortuaries.

Cadia's vitals were either cut out of her or decayed a long time ago, meaning she runs on magic alone. This comes with a few personality quirks, of course. First of all, she is in constant pain and the magic that keeps her alive does not elude this -the necromancer who brought her back managed to reconnect her nerve system fully before she killed him- so she is under the full influence of the agony involved in decaying. Secondly, when her heart was cut out she died in rage, and she rose from the dead she was risen as a restless and vengeful spirit and from that rage comes the burning desire to extract revenge from the world and to purify it of evil. In her mind she believes that every living creature is evil, including herself (she has concluded that that is a matter of fate and is fine with it), and that the only way she can achieve both her goals is to bring about the apocalypse.

Corra
On the flip side of this, Corra or Death's Apprentice, is a mad woman and comes out just about whenever she wants with or without Cadia's permission. Her personality almost completely changes from calm and calculating (though evil) to insane, darkly flirtatious, and terrifying. She takes on this form after a plan has been made in order to actually execute something while hiding her identity. One could say Cadia and Corra are two different people entirely.

Corra is the poster child for wretched evil insanity, she'll do anything and everything she has to to get what "Cadia" needs, from torturing and killing families to kidnapping a world leader.

In this persona she is most often seen to those who appose her as loud, flirtatious, arrogant, and strange. By strange I mean that she tends to do child like things at times like pout or laugh over a stupid trash/punch line she or someone else might have said. Legitimately she should be legally insane and put in a straight jacket (the best example I can give of her personality is Bellatrix from Harry Potter)

History:

Cadia's story begins long before she was even born, through the hopes of a small group of struggling dark elves. This group of nomads traveled the Earth in search of a home they could call their own for generations but ultimately they turned into black market merchants and sometimes even slave traders. The clan wasn't very well known and was extremely povertous but they dreamed big, and from these dreams came stories that were shared down the line since the dawn of their existence as a race. These very stories, over time, became known to the people as prophecies or "vydaeia" and from these prophecies came visions of gods from which their religion surfaced, Malol Vydaelor.

Their main god, Malos (God of the Night), supposedly had spoken through a dream to one of the tribe's elders and announced that he would bless a single child (in their culture this means the child was to be something of a demigod) in the womb of an obedient follower. This child was to grow up apart from the clan and would give their lives completely over to Malos (again in their religion this was the only time someone could make their patron Malos, the biggest reason being that the consequence was a guaranteed life of anguish) but would be endowed at the age of 20, with extraordinary talents that would bring them out of poverty and deliver them.

The vision promised them wealth and prosperity beyond imagine and everyone believed it would come true. However, 50 years passed with no results until it was 1825, and the woman who had originally promised this vision had been true, was killed under suspicion of blasphemy to the god Malos. The entire clan tried to forget about the dream of the promised child and offered sacrifices to apologize to Malos for believing the lies that were told to them.

Another 3 years went by before the "promised child" came, just as the elder had explained, it was a child with sickly white hair more sallow than the moon they worshiped. She was named Cadia Jhylaelia Vystori and immediately she was taken away from her parents and placed on an altar, prepared and then baptized in the cult of Malol Vydaelor. Her parents then offered themselves up as sacrifices before her, as ordered in the prophecy.

This was how Cadia's life began. In a "sacred" tent bathing in a pool of her parents blood before a gold idle of the god Malos and his wife Kydaer (Goddess of the Moon); and this is a near constant image of what she would go through for the remainder of her life.

Growing up Cadia was, as foreseen, kept away from the tribe . She was revered as a living god, and therefore could not be touched or looked at by anyone except the priestess of Kydaer who was only allowed to perform the tasks of her basic needs. The anger of this depravity of affection started very young, boiling within her even at the tender age of one and grew stronger as she became older. When she was 10 years old she attempted to run away from the sacred tent of Malos, where she lived, and managed to stay away for nearly a month before the group caught up to her, and the priestess that more or less raised her took her back to the tribe and locked her inside the sacred tent with a spell. Again Cadia was forced to remain hidden from the others, living a life of pure loneliness and agony under the belief that Malos was her patron and that she would some day gain a power that would help her tribe rule the world.

She was taught magic in these years and spent hours in the darkness reading over spell books and pouring over the history of her ancestors and the haynus cult they created that kept her trapped. Her mind learned to plot and plan and deceive, her heart turned bitter with hatred and resentment towards her kind, and the general population, as the only understanding she could gather was that all intelligent living things were evil.

When Cadia turned 19 another prophecy was given by a different elder of the tribe, this one told of a male figure who was shrouded in mystery and worshiped no gods. It was said that he would some day rise against the promise child in ignorance and cause much turmoil and yet it would bring life to her soul. No one knew what it meant and it was quickly forgotten by nearly everyone as a false vision.

The most unfortunate tragedy ensued when Cadia hit twenty and went the entire year without fulfilling any of the prophecy, meaning she was just another elf who happened to have white hair and not the promised child at all. This brought much despair among the clan's people and of course the very first decision they made was that Cadia was now unclean, having bathed in blood meant only for their gods, and had to be killed. And so on the day before her 21st birthday, they cut out her heart on the altar before Malos and Kydaer, ending her life.

190 years later, almost the entire clan that had been alive when Cadia was has passed on and the history of the the cult and the promise child has been erased from the history books. The gods forgotten, the cult lost, the followers dead; dark elves as a race are nearly extinct. A traveling elf magician by name of Shol Kyr, is one of the last remaining survivors of the tribe that brought, Malol Vydaelor, and thus he stumbled upon the scraps of a scroll that Cadia herself had used to study magic and history. It had been almost entirely burned next to the casket that held her body in the present day South America but enough of it had remained that he gathered her notes. As it turns out she had been practicing dark magic, and tampering with evil manna that allowed for a special sort of "talent"...necromancy.

Shol, curious, began to perform the necessary steps to cast the magic, and tried to figure out what to do on his own in the areas that were burned or worn from age. His first test subject, was the woman that wrote the notes, Cadia Vystori. He succeeded in raising her from the dead, eager to ask her questions on how to perfect the necromancy but the pieces of the book that he missed included several massively important points.
1) He brought her back with the last emotion she felt before dieing but memories that were gone and would have to return slowly, making a detrimental combination that resulted in a restless spirit
2) She still had her intelligence and thus her free will, meaning he simply rose her from the dead but could do nothing with her
3) He brought her too far out from the underworld, repairing her missing flesh and mending her nerve endings together which results in a constant agonizing pain that could only make her rage worse.

Her very first move was to kill him, taking great sadistic pleasure in watching him die even as he muttered his last words, questioning her, she simply cackled as though his dieing breathe was ecstasy.

Cadia was back, or rather Corra was born and she was ready to take her revenge at last on the world.

Powers:

Bacterial Manipulation: This ability allows Corra to control the bacteria from her decaying body as well as natural and pestilent bacteria in the area surrounding, as such she can do many things. Though she can not manipulate them in the sense of forming objects, she can bend the proper bacteria in the atmosphere to do as she needs. (She also can not manipulate the bacteria within a OC's body -Fair Game NPCs she can do this with however.)
-The most common way for her to use this ability is in the form of a technique called Pestilent Fire where she balls up so much bacteria into the palms of her hands or anywhere on her body or weapons that it creates an eerie purple glow that looks a lot like fire, and throws them like blasts at the target.
-Another popular way she uses this ability is through shock waves of recognizable black bacteria that upon a gesture of hers will launch itself in teaming waves in a particular direction for 1 victim post
(When dealing with fair game NPC (ones not created by users) these attacks offer no real way of dodging, the bacteria swarms the victim and kills them instantly. Also metal rusts whenever she touches it, animals die when she comes in contact with them as well as plants.)

Character Image/Description:
This is "Corra" (Death's Apprentice) in her slightly changed 'true undead' form that hides her true identity. It doesn't show in this picture but the way I picture her is when she's under the moonlight she takes on a similar appearance as the pirates from the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie; when she is under the moonlight in this form she appears more zombie-like as pieces of flesh seem to be falling off and her bones are very clearly seen, however unlike in the movie, she doesn't take on a full skeletal form, only partial
Spoiler:

See picture in "Costume Details" for picture of Cadia

Roleplay Sample:

Cadia Vystori, the Happy Promise of 1828...what a sadistic joke that was. Fate played a hard game and Cadia was always seeming to find herself wrapped up in it's strike outs. From birth she was deemed unlucky by Destiny and revered by Fate in a sort of twisted tug-of-war that she only found less than amusing. It was by these circumstances she found herself where she was now, alive; what a terrible disorder to be in, no matter how partial it was. Well, that was why she did what she did, life deserved no more chances, the world needed die.

The pestilence mage narrowed her eyes and scrutinized a human skull in the palms of her blue fingers, looking for all the world like she was honestly examining the cracks in the bone as though it offered some sort of immense secret. Her rotting brain was working only by the unwanted grace of another magicians magic, giving her a full understanding of what was going on around her and the capability of thought that most deemed as "zombie" did not have the pleasure of experiencing. She enjoyed the fact that she could think for herself but most probably wished she couldn't, for what dark demented thoughts she did think, brought only turmoil to the world...

A fake smile turned the black lips of the elf in a sickening display of sadistic pleasure as she crushed the skull in her palms and laid back against a grave stone marked;
Dorthy Anne Smith
Loving wife of Franklin Robert Smith
1800-1860

She was in a graveyard, her favorite place to be. The dead gave her peace of mind, it reminded her of where she will always belong. No matter how hard she pretended to be alive, she was not anymore; the heart in her chest was cut from her for forever and the bones of her flesh were decaying in age, nothing would ever change these facts. In time, her soul would retract from her dead body and return to the underworld, her goal was to sooth its restlessness as best she could before this happened. How to do that? Revenge...it was all about vengeance...

Considering how powerful your abilities are, you probably need another powerpoint.

If you have two powers, you need to split your EP points between them.

I know this isn't done yet, since it says WIP, but these are just notes.
