Repairing an Artifact(Silus) Empty Repairing an Artifact(Silus)

Post by Neal Winters February 16th 2014, 7:43 pm

Neal used the Ethereal Arch and ended up in a large desert that seemed to be the place where he was to meet Silus, the Ethereal enchanter and son of Zell Atterrius. It would be interesting, to meet another of the race he had become a part of. Even as new as he was to this race, he could feel the power that they, and now he, possessed. It was hard to imagine that he was once mortal, able to age and die like a being worried only about themselves and their life. Now, he could focus on so much more. Without needing to worry about death or hunger, thirst or sleep, he could focus his energies on whatever he wished and take his time now. 'I have never really felt so relaxed until I became an Ethereal, I really do feel great about this new body. I could never imagine being anything else now, the enhanced senses and the greater gifts of not needing sustenance or rest. I couldn't ask for anything more from life than what I have now, so all that is left is saving people.'

He looked around the desert wasteland, able to feel the vibrations of movement below the sands. It was strange getting used to, but Neal loved his heightened senses and the Ethereal energy that made its home inside his body. To be an Ethereal was a gift to him, one that he was still getting used to but was priceless in worth. There was no way for him to explain the feeling, and he knew that it was outlawed, but he couldn't help but admire the power and wisdom that came with being an Ethereal. His eyes scanned the area, looking for any sign of another life. It was hard, but he didn't think he saw anything human figured in the area.

For now, Neal would need to await the presence of Silus. He would simply sit and relax on the Ethereal sand, closing his eyes and letting his other senses pick up the world outside. It may not be a place where most would feel comfortable, but Neal was in a state where nothing made him truly uncomfortable anymore. Neal was wearing his white suit, a red shirt over his upper body with a silvery white tie around his neck. The top button of his shirt was undone, the tie slightly loosened, and the jacket completely unbuttoned. As he opened his eyes, they grew with a white glow in the darkness. His ethereal blood was obvious, and the white glow was clearly not just a reflection of the moon in his eyes.

Repairing an Artifact(Silus) Empty Re: Repairing an Artifact(Silus)

Post by Silus February 16th 2014, 11:40 pm

The ground rumbled beneath as the sands shifted. Neal, perhaps unawares, had made a mistake. You must always keep moving in Deaths Embrace to avoid meeting DEATH'S EMBRACE. There was a large swirling of sand before Neal as a large creature of enormous size appeared, A Dune Maw. The creature was at least sixty foot long and easily a fourth as thick with serrated spines that protruded it's body. Black metallic looking spikes and a throat full of fangs the creature let out the loudest roar one could imagine, deafeningly so. The creature was one to be feared, especially to those with heightened sensory like Ethereal's.

Dune Maw:

Silus could feel the energy and see the massive creature flying through the air as it coiled on the surface, trying to circle it's prey with it's large body, giving no avenue for escape. The incredibly dense shell allowed the beast to shrug off many forms of damage, though what this newer character could do Niall was unsure. Despitre this all, he pointed to the Dune Maw and grunted. Three wolves, a silver one, a black one, and a pure white pup stepped forward. Silus used his shoe to lift the pup up, kicking him into the air to catch him with the other hand. Meanwhile Kaisses and Hocus growled menacingly, remembering that Abra's pack had been slain by dune maws...and now here they were again...Silus sighed.

"Kill 'em" He said reluctantly. The wolves howled and the silver and black wolf took off howling, ready to decimate the Dune Maw with deadly efficiency. Silus himself started walking calmly, Yancey licking his cheeks as he lay contently on the eleven year old boy's shoulder. The black would wih glowing red eyes, Hocus approached and leapt up, boring claws into the beast, taking it's attention as Kaisses, the silver haired wolf with bright blue eyes and wearing a black cap with white words reading "Warn a Brotha!" on his head. He yawned lamely as he sniffed the air and sneezed at the Dune Maw, which roared. Silus slowly en route the Wolf Kaisses manipulated the sand, bringing up a ring around the creature's mouth, acting as a muzzle of sorts with his wrath of Gaia.

"Well this guy smells like an Ethereal...but he still smells human. Think he's an elect?" Kaisses asked aloud as he hopped down from the creature and laid in the sand lazily, rolling onto his back. Hocus growled at the maw still, as if warning it to desist it's attempt to devour the elect being behind him.

Repairing an Artifact(Silus) Empty Re: Repairing an Artifact(Silus)

Post by Neal Winters February 17th 2014, 10:04 am

Neal was shocked to feel the ground shift as much as it did, and then watch as a giant worm like creature emerged from the ground. Even being new to the Ethereal Isle, he could tell it was not a good start and he would need to start attacking this thing. Just the appearance of this thing gave of fear though, spikes encircling the body and roughly twice as long as a large bus. The creature's maw was also startling to view, with fangs and spikes inside of what looked to be a throat. Neal had only one option in his mind, and that was attacking with everything he had. Instantly, and without thinking, Neal pulled Mortem from his black satchel and then started firing upon the abomination. He hoped they would do damage, since they were blasts from the current most powerful weapon he had. Of course, there was a chance that they were able to entirely decimate this thing. Whatever it was though, Neal would not stop moving now that saw it.

Within just moments after he unleashed the shots though, and after they fully dissipated, two wolves came and jumped in on the scene, attacking this thing themselves. It seemed that whatever they were, Neal was being helped by them. Perhaps with the three against one odds, the monster would go back underground and leave them alone. Either way, Neal would need to ask these wolves why they came and who they were. It was proper manners in Neal's mind to do that, and Neal wanted to maintain that attitude.

As they were attacking the creature, one wolf asked the other aloud if the other thought Neal was an elect. Of course, Neal instantly started moving his lips to affirm this, since he felt it was the least he could do. "Yes, how did you know that I was an elect? Is there something about me that indicates it, or?" Neal would leave his sentence in a question himself, wanting to understand why these things knew him to be an elect.

Repairing an Artifact(Silus) Empty Re: Repairing an Artifact(Silus)

Post by Silus February 20th 2014, 4:14 pm

Neal's attacks were effective, but not entirely enough to derail the thing. It screeched and took off into the sand beneath them. The tactic was useful for the primitive creature as it began to circle, beneath the ground where they could not hit it. And soon...the sand where Neal and Hocus was began to sink like quicksand. Kaisses just laid there and laughed about it. Hocus looked over his shoulder and snapped. "SURVIVE FIRST QUESTIONS LATER!" He was obviously angered with the man's random question in the middle of battle. What a stupid mistake, even Silus never made that kind of mistake. Silus started walking towards them, Yancey now in his hood, chewing at Silus' earlobe still as he approached.

A Kid with pale skin, dirty blonde hair with prominent brown and a large baggy zip-up hoodie on the eleven year old boy looked nearly insane being in Death's Embrace. Silus giggled and his eyes narrowed. His body surged with Ethereal energy and shot out into the sand. There was an ungodly howl as the beast burrowed away, the sand no longer sinking just keeping Hocus trapped slightly. He slowly and carefully worked his way out of the sand and turned to Silus and nodding. Silus sighed as he yawned and scratched the back of his head as if there were nothing wrong. "Thank you, Silus." Hocus said. Silus just smiled and bashfully his himself by sinking into his hoodie-jacket thing. Kaisses then stood up and looked to Neal.

"You smell like a human still....you also smell like Italian food and Ouroboros. So honestly I gotta assume you were either having Italian food with Ouroboros... OR...maybe, JUST MAYBE.... you and Ouroboros were both fighting some massive spaghetti Monster with meatball eyes and bread-stick fingers." Kaisses said, his voice sounding hopeful. Silus chuckled and rolled his eyes, walking off in a certain direction...east to be more specific.

Repairing an Artifact(Silus) Empty Re: Repairing an Artifact(Silus)

Post by Neal Winters March 17th 2014, 12:11 pm

Neal looked at the wolves as they helped him get this massive worm like creature to delve back into the sand. He was relieved, but also curious about how dangerous this place would be to him. The one wolf seemed to be very upset with him for speaking, which Neal understood, since they were fighting and it wasn't exactly a prudent time to ask questions. Still though, Neal noticed that a boy was walking up behind him, probably Silus, the son of Ouroboros that he wanted Neal to meet. Neal kept on moving though, it seemed that the boy was moving and being left alone. 'It is likely, that the only way to evade these monsters is to keep moving, so that is what I will do from now on in this place.'

He watched as one of the wolves said thank you, and then the boy hid his head as if he was shy or something. Then, he got an understanding of why they said that he was probably an elect. They said that he still smelled of human, and also Ouroboros and Italian food. Of course, it also came up with the possibility that he was fighting a giant spaghetti monster with bread stick fingers and meatball eyes. Neal decided to play onto this wolves imagination and would agree with the second option. "You wouldn't believe how big the thing was, at least thirty feet. Also, those hands were more like italian bread loves and than bread-sticks. It seemed very frightening, but we were able to eat the monster." Neal spoke with a playful tone, thinking that this wolf would understand that he was joking with it.

"You would be Silus I presume? Ouroboros sent me to meet with you in regards to repairing this artifact, I will do what I can to help." He looked directly at the boy who had been walking, and hoped that he would be able to help repair this weapon that Ouroboros had asked him to bring.
