DESIGNATION: A.E.R.I.S. Zealot
ROLE: Shocktrooper / Heavy Infantry
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
HEIGHT: 7’5” (225 cm)
WEIGHT: 3,640 lbs (1,651 kg or 1.82 tons)
APPEARANCE:
These armoured giants are the principal solder of AERIS’ cybernetic army— standing a foot greater in height than a tall man and weighing in at nearly two short tons; these heavy titanium monstrosities can make short work of any normal human soldier.

Description: Like AERIS and all her devices and soldiers, the construction of the Zealot is based upon advanced nanites. The Zealot is thus able to repair itself over time through the conversion of nearby matter, though this process usually takes many hours to accomplish. A Zealot is also able to extend AERIS’ reach to closed-networks through cyberspace by directly connecting to the networks and then establishing a wireless uplink. - Plasma-Caster Rifle
Description: The Zealot is armed with a formidable HX-44R plasma rifle— a weapon weighing several hundred pounds and far too heavy for a normal human to use. With the rifles augmented ammo capacity, a Zealot can fight for extended periods before needing to resupply. This kind of weapon fires magnetically contained bolts of highly energetic plasma that can melt through most materials and armours with sustained fire.
Zealots are not very intelligent over-all and have little grasp of fighting tactics— in large scale combat they are dependent on instruction obtained from the close-range wireless transmissions of an AERIS Overlord or the avatar of AERIS herself. Without more intelligent direction, they tend to charge forward heedless of the risk to themselves or the numbers of the enemy, stubbornly pursing their objective.
While their physical strength is considerable, they primarily rely upon their plasma rifle as a means of attack, resorting to brute strength only when disarmed. Their thick armour tends to make their blows slow and awkward. Their aim is also lest than perfect with their plasma rifles, except at closer ranges.

VULNERABILITIES
The armour of the Zealot is thinnest around the front of the neck and is often exposed when the head is turned track an opponent at its sides. Its plasma-caster is also lightly armoured and quite vulnerable to damage— it should be noted that loss of magnetic containment of the ammunition within the rifle can have explosive results, quite likely destroying the Zealot.
