He was born on the Winter solstice in Lewiston, Maine in a Roman Catholic family, even though practice was not common in it. His father was a biologist at University of Southern Maine and his mother was a teacher in kindergarten. He had no brothers or sisters and life at home was lovely. His neighborhood was a nice place to grow up. His father was not very present in his childhood but his mother was. As Gabriel grew older, his powers began to manifest and it was clear the boy was very intelligent. So intelligent that he got enrolled at Brown University at 16. Of course, he became more intelligent during his studies in chesmitry there and got out at 19 with his Ph. D. With some promises, the Army came to see him.

It was actually the United States Marines Corps who enlisted him. Very quickly, he was put into engineer units, and he quickly was put in charge of the explosives. Because of his ability to learn rather quickly, he trained in two years and the two next years he was deployed in Africa. Two more years came to pass and he chose to not reenlist. He was 23. For the next five years, he worked for a company that built bombs and other explosives for the Marines. On the side, of course, Gabriel worked on his own to make up better explosives. Now 28, Gabriel Duncan hungers for a bit of change in his life.
