Hey new players,

I would like to offer you the opportunity to hone not only your writing skills, but your character development in the Silver Age thread. It takes place before the current time line and offers you a chance to define your young Hero into an experienced, villain fighting machine. So when you do decide to join the current timeline you have a few notches on your belt. You'll simply apply to your new League of Legends liaison and see if your hero makes the grade. They will be vying for a chance to join the Young Legends; a League of Legends understudy. If he accepts you will be part of a team that is destined for greatness. Remember when you join you will be the inexperience youth, but by the time the current story get's around you'll be a bit older and a bit more experienced. We welcome all character Archetypes as the Silver Age's applicability ranges widely in acceptance.

I realize that my critique of new player's writing has been harsh in the past, but I have vowed to change this miscommunication and if given the chance to prove my will to change that: I invite you new players to join me on this journey. If you are willing to learn an roll with the punches so am I. The one prerequisite is that reading enthusiasts need only apply. This is a text based game and we should all respect each other''s writing by reading what they spent time writing. This simple act shows that you care enough about continuity to read and comprehend a previous post, before posting yourself.

Sounds cool. So where should our characters be starting? And will this be cannon to the main storyline?

well that's my hope...but all the Admin's would have to approve it, So we have to make it our best stuff and be open to change if they feel we've over stepped our bounds.

As for your question about starting out, I believe it's pretty well outlined in the OP (original post). But I want to state again that reading the other's posts is important. Your Character would have been sent an application for the Young Legends. It has an address on the evelope. That is the Hall of the Elite. Show up there and present your application to Mr. French at the front desk.

What year does this take place in? I saw that this takes place after the "Golden Age" thread which apparently takes place before World War II, so is this during World War II? I'm just asking because for Cybermind I need to know what technology is out there.

The time line is fluid. it is post WWII to almost modern time. I am less strict with restrictions in the Silver Age thread, The Golden age takes place prior to WWII and through it. Silver Age starts around the 60's and goes almost to the 90's

Keep in mind Coffin the year on the site is 2024, I don't know if this changes anything, but just throwing that out there.

yes I am aware, but thanks for the heads up. Unlike the Golden age thread where I am very strict about time and character appropriateness, I am running the Silver Age with a more lenient stance. The term fluid time with really be let to sploosh around here, allowing a greater number of players to join and have fun, while expanding their characters.

No, In fact, nothing in the OOC Roleplay section will ever be canon. That was the point of it, a non-canon section so that you could get away from the main rpg. I'm not discouraging what you guys are doing, but it has nothing to do with the real story and never will. Your characters don't exist in our timeline, it might as well be a power ranger rpg. Just saying so that everyone knows, all you're doing is making up your own story. It has nothing to do with the rest of the site. Have fun.
