Tall and well muscled Michael Gwaed is a intimidating man. Gwaed has dirty blond hair, medium cut and often slicked back., eyes a dark blue that goes a inky black whenever enraged. Gwaed sports a strong jawline often covered in rough stubble and his most defining feature is his teeth which are razor sharp and grow back within seconds of breaking or falling out. Gwaed never was one for costumes or masks (unless his line of work requires it) but has taken to wearing break away pants, a trench coat, and a wet suit underneath it all allowing him quick access to the water when needed. |
| The Legacy |
Personality: Gwaed is a man of mixed emotions. During his jobs he is a professional above all else carrying out his job no matter what it is with the cold efficiency of a mercenary. To those that know him find that he warms up once you get his trust. Never a better friend will you find. Sadly his friends are few and far in between as rumors of people betraying him ending up floating down a river. History: Michael J. Gwaed was born in the small port town of Insmore Maine. He had a loving family and his mutations showed early in his life. His father (A fisherman by trade) had similar mutations but to a far less extent. because of that Gwaed was well versed in hiding his powers due to his fathers tutelage. In the middle of Michael's sophomore high school his father passed away. A large storm smashed against the town and his father went missing while he was out fishing. This hit Gwaed extremely hard and he quickly fell into the wrong crowd. The Insmore militia was a group of radicals stationed just outside of Insmore. They didn't trust the government and are a strong anti-meta force. Gwaed was already well versed in hiding his powers and took in with the militia. After high school and much to his mothers dismay he moved into the compound and they trained him. Many of the Militia members were former military and Gwaed took to there training readily and was apart of there forces for 5 years. Everything change when the government raided the compound. Shots were exchanged almost immediately and the conflict turned into a blood bath. Gwaed saw the people who he thought of as family being slaughtered by S.W.A.T teams. He lost it his mind going blank... When he came too he was covered in blood. All around him bodies with huge chunks taken out of necks, torsos, even heads laid around him. all he knew was he tasted blood and the shocked and scared look of his "family" bore into him. he fled running as quickly as he could avoiding capture by jumping into the sea. As years went on he became a mercenary knowing he could never go back now that they knew he was a Meta. He used his training and his powers and soon clients found him hearing about the massacre at Insmore and calling him Man-Eater a name he didn't take to but one he accepted. He takes most jobs from a variety of clients both good and bad...he follows his own code and chooses his own jobs. But if the price is right? you've got a Man-Eater on the payroll. |
| The Powers and Weaknesses |
(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.) Powers Power 1: Gwaeds teeth are incredibly strong. capable of shearing through most metals,rocks, and synthetic materials. In conjunction with incredibly potent acids in his stomach he is capable of consuming almost all common materials. Power 2: Gwaed has superb aquatic superiority. capable of incredible feats of speed and strength underwater to out maneuver and over power his enemies. this includes gills (located on the lower neck and upper shoulders), webbed toes and hands (only visible while submerged), and a black film that prevents water from entering his eyes. Power 3: Gwaed has advanced strength and durability outside of water. Capable of lifting around a ton and taking small arms fire without flinching. He is also capable of regenerating even fatal wounds but only when submerged in water. Weakness(es) Weakness 1: Gwaed is dependent on his aquatic nature and can only spend 48 hours outside outside of water before his body starts to weaken significantly. he is heavily susceptible to heat based attacks and is very prone to dehydration. It is unclear when his time out of water would cause him to expire but it suspected to be about a week. Weakness 2: While Gwaed is able to consume most common substances but there is a limit to what he can consume. He is able to consume radioactive substances but is not immune to radiation and will suffer from it until the material is dissolved. Anything harder than lonsdaleite is sufficient to break or chip his teeth. as well he is limited on what he can eat by the size of his mouth. Weakness 3: Gwaed is highly susceptible to electrostatic fields causing disorientation and blindness when exposed to more then background levels that he is currently at. Weakness 4: Gweads regeneration is only activated when water enters and cycles through his gills. his regeneration is inactive outside of water. Weakness 5: When struck in the gills Gwead loses his ability to breath water and suffocates in water. In addition do to his gills being shut down he loses the ability to regenerate.
