A Suggestion

I know I'm still new around but I'd like to make a suggestion that I think will make things easier for new players and veterans alike. On a previous site I was a part of, one of the rules was to have a link to your character profile on your signature. That way, when one is rping with a new character that individual doesn't have to go hunting for said character's character sheet in order to track down information about said character. Of course, for those accounts with multiple characters one would link all characters into their signature.

Any thoughts on this?

Some people put those in the signature and some people have the old grids there. It's always been a heavy suggestion and not a rule.

Pretty much what Bliss said. There's no need to impose a rule if some people don't want to do something. If you choose to do it, that's good and we love you for it. If you don't prepare to have your character links on hand at all times because people will pester you for it a LOT.

So I guess in essence what I'm saying is... While it is a great idea, and some people do it.... There's no reason to make a rule of it. It's a little "trivial" and needless to force people to do something as simple as that.

People SHOULD do it though...just doesn't mean we should MAKE them do it.

how do you add a signature?

If you click on the profile button it will bring you to the edit profile screen. From there, choose the signature tab. There's a button right in the edit screen to allow you to post a link. You can add the URL as well as the character name.

There's also space on your profile field on the left hand of the posts to place your characters if you want to put them there instead of in your signature. (:
