The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold Empty The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold

"Alright. Gather around!" Alistair called out. Metahumans all swarmed around him, waiting to hear the command of their warlord. Pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose and using the other arm to pat Masquerade on the shoulder before sending him off on his way. "We've got another lead, thanks to Masquerade we're aware that they've captured two of our brother's. They're called Forge and Meltdown. They're trying to transfer them to an Agency facility in Canada. More specifically the Agency HQ... Excalibur city. We need to jump the escort and spring them. Do I have any volunteers?" He asked. There were a chorus of battle cries as they raised their arms. Gendo smirked at all the little toys he had accumulated, but he was no fool. He who dies with the most toys is still dead. it was a tough call, but he elected to trust a few of his toys to another individual. Someone who he felt as though eh could trust.

"Khellendros. Might I have a word please?" Gendo requested before pointing to Faust. "You too." It was highly unlikely they were going to say "no" to the man who was responsible for saving their life from the Director of the Agency himself. As far as Gendo was concerned they owed him their lives, something he was almost certain the ever knightly Khell would acknowledge.

"I've called you both aside because I'd like you to lead the charge. I know I'm asking a lot of you but I have a feeling this is something you'll want to oversee for yourself." Gendo began before lowering his voice to a hushed whisper and talking to Khell. "This transfer... they have the boy as well." Gendo was no fool, he knew emotion when he saw it. He knew Khell's guilt would utterly destroy him into undertaking this mission rather than leave the young child he failed to help in the hands of merciless monsters who might cut him open just to see how he ticks. He then looked to Faust. The man had an inner darkness that no longer was thanks to Khellendros...but the fact that he murdered the boys father still remained. "They've already gone. I want you to go and intercept them, can you do this? You owe this. Not to me...to the boy. Please?" He asked, appealing with a more altruistic nature than he really had.

"Anyone willing to stand up for what's right.... follow Khellendros. Anyone compelled to defend home base, stay here." He called out. Numbers left, apparently Khell had a small army to work with.

...With that it was time to go to war.

The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold Empty Re: The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold

Post by Khellendros April 29th 2015, 3:39 am

"Are we sure we should be involved with these people? This isn't our fight and we could probably find Victor on our own."

"Our involvement was a foregone conclusion when they rescued me from people we didn't even know existed. As for Victor, we stand a far better chance finding him alongside those who have had experience with this enemy instead of going off blindly."

Khellendros stood off to the side as Gendo riled up his little militia force. He knew the game that was being played here, he'd seen it almost a thousand times in his career, the general lining up their forces and rallying them in the name of their cause before sending them off to fight and possibly to die. He was in a fairly different position from the rest having been rescued from a man he only knew by a code-name, Godslayer, supposedly the director and lead architect of a group known only as The Agency. Listening as Gendo briefs his people about the two captives, Khellendros can only think back on the night he was rescued, and subsequently, of a young boy he had been incapable of keeping from the clutches of those madmen and their cruel machines. It's only a matter of time before I find you again, I promise. It hurt that The Agency was based out of his home country and he hadn't known or even remotely been aware of it's existence until it was right in his face, he'd always thought of his homeland as accepting and relatively peaceful, in spite of his chosen profession as a mercenary.

He was called aside along with the doctor, Derrick Faust, a man that Khell had assisted in removing some sort of alter ego from using some questionable methods and even more questionable technology. He was never entirely certain how he felt about the doctor, this was the man responsible for the death of one of the lives he had attempted to save and the father of the young boy, Victor, trusting someone who had been that mentally unstable was completely out of the question, let alone letting him near someone he had traumatized on such a massive scale.

Gendo was giving Khell control of the rescue mission, why this was wasn't completely clear to him until the boy was brought into it. Khell recognized Gendo as the manipulator he was and he was clearly expecting an emotional response of guilt but there was a slight miscalculation in there, guilt wasn't a factor in this scenario. Anger for the one who had taken Victor had risen to the top, anger at himself for not being able to fulfill a promise made in combat, seething rage that was to be directed towards this... Agency and those like them that would see genetic progress come to a halt, even at the cost of the lives of those who were innocent regardless of the genetic mishap that set them apart from the norms. So, you want a proficient warmaster but figure leverage is the way to go on it? Psychology doesn't escape me in the least. Letting the anger creep into his voice as it dropped in volume so as not to upset any of Gendo's followers nearby. "The boy, as you call him, has a name. It's Victor, and you will remember it. I will let that manipulation slide in favour of ensuring the safety of Victor and your comrades at arms. You are correct in that I owe you my life but I expect clarity and honesty, I will not tolerate convoluted scheming or such dishonest behaviour from those that would have me as an ally instead of a contractor. You have your warmaster and I shall complete the task, with or without assistance from your cohorts." Khell's helmet opens at this point to reveal a young man, approximately 24 years of age with white hair and golden eyes that narrow in anger. He gestures covertly in the direction of the dispersing mob. "And I use the term lightly in this case because I get the feeling you think of them as something a little more crude in nature."

Turning on his heel and marching away across the courtyard, his helmet closes as he opens a channel to one of the few people he can trust in the world implicitly. "Malys, we have found him. Land in the open courtyard, we are leaving immediately." "I heard, Alex was sending to me for the whole conversation. Coming in for landing now." The sky is filled with a violent and primal roar as Malys comes in for a landing in a show of intimidating force, letting loose a short blast of flames from her inferno cannon giving the visual of a fierce dragon and it's rider fully prepared for war. Walking calmly into the courtyard and leaping from the ground to the rider's position on Malys' back, Khellendros addresses any and all who will be joining him. "ALL COMBATANTS TO ME! WE RIDE TO WAR AND TO VICTORY!" With that, Malys lifts off into the sky and in the direction of their intended target.

The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold Empty Re: The secrets of the Black Rose in the threshold

Alistair Gendo didn't particularly care for what Khellendros thought or felt. The only thing that needed to be said on the matter was that Gendo only cared that he did his part. Gendo's fight was against the Agency and anyone that would prevent him from finding the thing he searched for. If Khell got in his way...well then perhaps it was another heart for his collection. Dismissing that, Gendo had other things to deal with and a snob who presumed to know something was not one of them. Many of the men and women who were his allies that were "riding with him to victory" were questioning his sanity, as he was a man pretending to be a knight. Granted the dragon was undeniable badass, they still found themselves worried that they were put in the best hands.

The transport was exactly where Gendo said it was. The Agency had it heavily guarded though. There were a few ways to go about this with a tactical soundness. The first being have Malys begin the fight while some of the members that Gendo sent staid back with their guns and powers to cause a distraction and perhaps add shock value. That would work against normal enemy units. The problem they were going to have was the heavily armored cars that were imperceptible to all machinery. Unfortunately Malys wouldn't be able to assist with their destruction because Malys couldn't percieve them through conventional methods. They would need to find a way to destroy the imerceptibility and somehow manage to keep Malys at full integrity long enough to make it happen. They could always reverse the role though, sent the soldiers in first and then call Malys in when the imperceptibility had been dropped. That would cost more lives, but their big guns and Malys could likely balance each other out. Khell could also command them to do nothing and wait and see how things go, though it was entirely up to him. He was the boss.
