Malik, have been all around the world and being able to dine literally anywhere...
He found any food in the U.S does not impress him.
He smiled though, thinking that for her it would be better than L.A.
"I never cared about the food in L.A, I cared that the hands who made them."
He smiled and then began to feel sudden sympathy for Nadia. He literally took her away from the place she knew like the back of her hand. He never really knew that feeling. He'd been everywhere, never liked Alabama, and loved L.A.
He couldn't relate, but he could definitely feel.

Nadia rubbed her arms, she could understand that. It was sort of like when she was home. The food wasn't always good, but what made it special is that she knew everyone who made it.

Nadia raised her brows, she wasn't expecting an apology. "There ain't nothin' to 'pologize for, ah choose to come here. You're not at fault here, hon." She lightly brushed one hand over his out of habit. "If anybody's at fault, it's me for leavin' so fast."

Malik felt worse and worse about not being able to relate.
Nadia knew all the faces, places etcetera.
Malik killed his dad and his mom was dead to him.
No family, the last little bit of what was left disowned him.
He never liked Mobile and never intended to go back.
"Well, I could defintely take you back whenever you'd like."

Nadia's face lit up. That was probably the best thing she'd heard all day. "Really?" She asked, her face conveyed disinterest, but her tone was excited. "Ah'll hold ya to it, hon." She smiled, a little goofy, but she could care less.

"Nah, lets move on, dates are spossed' to be fun right? Ain't no use dwellin' on the sad."

Malik smiled "Yeah, speaking of fun... What do you like to do for fun?"
He never really thought about what she'd do outside of being the superhero she is.
The only hero he actually knew what they did "off-duty" was jeannie, and she pretty much does the same stuff anyway.
He was almost sure the question would be returned so he began scanning his brain for ideas.
This wouldn't have been hard if he's literally had to do a little bit of everything.
He liked to call himself the jack of all trades but the master of none.

(OOC: I'm using green as my civy voice and red for my hero voice.)

"What do ah do for fun...?" Nadia mused. Normally she just took walks around town if she got bored, you walk long enough you'll find something to do. Though she had come to like spending time of the beach...

"Well," she began. "Since ah moved here, Ah've begun to like paddle boarding, though ah can't do that every day, so ah normally visit arcades. Personally, ah like the few ones that have karaoke." She inclined her head, gesturing at Malik, "What about you, sweetheart?"

I knew it... He thought.
"Well, I usually like going to go to bars, play video games, go to conventions, and and write."
He knew writing would be a random statement, but since his sweet 16 he learned he could write poetry and song really well.
"Writing and conventions are lame to you I'm sure, but L.A has a surplus of them. I like visiting Hollywood too on occasion."

"Nah, ah like writin' it's pretty relaxing. Don't do it often though." She used to write a lot as a kid, best student in her language class. She'd never been to Hollywood though.

"Ah haven't had the chance to visit Hollywood yet, maybe we could go sometime." It was a subtle invitation if anything.

Malik smiled when she mentioned Hollywood.
"Well, hon. You get to meet celebrities when you go with me."
He said, trying to brag without completely sounding like a douche.
"It would also be wonderful to have a plus one to all the parties."
He smiled more to himself than to Nadia.

"You said you like to write, any particular genre of writing?"

Nadia chuckled, "Wow, ah didn't realize ah was sitting with a man so high in society, course ah'll go with ya, somebody needs to keep ya from wreckin' the party, might as well be me." She winked playfully.

"Hmm, mystery mostly nowadays, though ah'm a romantic at heart. Now you..." She continued. "You seem like the kinda guy for action, right?"

Malik smiled.
"Quite the speculation, but no. I am a poet and song writer. I have written fiction, but poetry seems to be my niche."
He smiled hopefully.
"I know poetry doesn't seem like me, but that's what usually comes out of my mind."

The waiter came with their drinks and apologized for the delay.
She asked if they were ready to order, Malik had never even needed a menu because he'd been here multiple times.

"Hmm," Nadia mused. She hadn't expected that, though top be honest, she was going off his mercenary persona and not the real man. She'd have to stop assuming.

"Maybe ah could see some sometime, if it's not personal." She was curious, but knew that poetry and such was personal to some people.

Excitedly, Nadia thanked the waitress and took a sip of her Sherly Temple. Nadia looked at Malik and held her hands up, "Why don't you pick for me?" To be honest, she hadn't even looked at the menu.

Malik smiled at the thought of showing someone his work.
Maybe he could write one for her.
"Yeah, I'd love to show you sometime."

He grinned and whispered something to the waitress.
She smiled and nodded.

After she left, he began taking in just how gorgeous she looked.
He didn't even realize he was sitting there staring at her.

Nadia's smile stretched a bit, she tried her best not to seem too eager but she couldn't help it.

Idly, she wondered what Malik choose for dinner, she was getting a bit hungry.

Nadia tilted her head to the side, and raised an amused brow. "What'cha lookin' at, sugar?" Her eyes shown with curiosity. Nadia knew she looked good, but she never really got more than the occasional wink and whistle, really.

Malik snapped out of it, immediately embarrassed.
"Ah... Crap. I'm sorry. You just look..."
As an author, he wanted to find the best word to use, but couldn't.
It hurt his head just thinking about it.

Nadia's brows shot up, a little in disbelief. She was grateful for her dark skin, though she figured her blush probably still shone through.

She was a little speechless, twice from Malik now. She's not upset though, it's a good feeling.

"I.." She trailed.
