Jacket Empty Jacket

Post by Stabbykinz September 17th 2015, 4:02 am

Jacket
"Justice before mercy."

Basic Biography

Real Name: Jack Coleson
Renegade Name: Jacket
Title: The Ill-Intent
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Hair: Sandy-brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 145 lbs
Blood type: 0+

The Looks

His white shirt clings to his body, his muscles underneath. He's fit, the snug cloth tells, but he's no body builder, more of a lean build than anything else. But he dresses well to show it off, says the jeans that are loose enough around the legs to be comfortable, tight enough to hint at his assets. He likes a rugged look, notes his denim biker jacket, laden with zippers and even a soft, plush hood for when it get cold. His style from a time gone by, say the fingerless black leather gloves and his crimson Chucks...

But violence is a constant, warns the tiger mask, scarred and battered to this day, though the metal lining holds steadfast. And Jacket is a concept, and idea that gives this violence shape, reason, and direction, but not defined by appearance cry the blood spattered varsity jacket with creme colored sleeves and a brown as the vest-portion. No, defined by the actions that he takes, skinny jeans correct those that would think otherwise. And those who spill blood with ill-intent will be met with his own special intent, a separate pair of scuffed and bloodied red Chucks regards. And he will be ready to do so in an manner that pleases him, cackles the boxers-cloth lined with metal knuckles, wound around his hands with expertise. But he isn't planning on dying anytime soon, says the welded scrap steel armor pieces bound to him by woven elastics.

The Legacy

Personality: Jack is a care-free guy. He doesn't care much about politics, or...pretty much anything he wouldn't want to bother with in the first place unless it affects him or has some kind of hook that interests him, such a monetary gain. He's the kinda of guy to enforce the 'take care of yourself before taking care of others' rule, putting his own survival before others if it comes down to it. That being said, if he does risk his life for someone, he cares about them deeply, which would come to a surprise to him because he generally could careless about anyone or their opinions.

Despite all of this, he's actually pretty nice when he wants to be, or is in a good mood, but prone to mooching for food or money with bad shopping impulses to boot. But he's easily aggravated and will dish out harsh words if angered enough. Paired with this is the almost compulsive need to lie just to avoid the consequences of his poorly-thought out plans, which had made him a decent lie but admittedly not the social-engineering type he likes to himself to be sometimes.

Jacket is also care-free, but in a fashion that he doesn't care if you're begging for mercy, if you tried to stab that woman in the alleyway, your are going to die. And if it turns out the woman was lying, she will die as well. He is passive indifference and explosive rage bundled into a dangerously whimsical individual who may or may not be an actual psychopath, as his method of justice more or less tends to align with 'if they did a bad thing, beat them until they stop' and very little qualms about doing so even if it accidentally ends with the criminal's death. It probably doesn't help very much that he enjoys the violence or that he craves the heat of combat. Alas, this is who he is: an anti-hero. A blood-knight. A killer hell-bent on cleaning the streets with the blood of those who tarnished it.

History: Born into a neighborhood filled with violence, Jack grew up around the influence of gang fights and gangs themselves, having been in one for a time in his teenage years before turning his back on them as he reached adulthood. By this time, his parents were already dead, having been caught in separate shoot-outs during his childhood, with his mother being the first to be killed. It was only when his little sister was finally caught in the crossfire that his powers came to be.

He didn't feel sorrow for the death of his parents simply because he was young, too weak to protect them, and he understood that. He didn't need to mourn. It was simply a matter of being at the wrong place and at the wrong time. But when it his sister died, he was old enough now. Strong enough. But his own negligence, his own oversight had cost her life when she had wandered away from him during a shopping run at a local gas station. The sheer anguish and rage he felt was unlike anything else, and as he howled his oath of revenge, his desire to slaughter all that would dare commit crime upon this world, in his territory, something changed in him. It was a violent change at that, and filled his hours of anguish and grief with vomiting, horrendous cramps, delirium-induced self-electrocution, all with in a small bathroom.

Flash forward a year to the present and...he knows very little as to why his powers arose, and why him, or how it was even all possible. But he simply doesn't care anymore. It enables him to survive and lived lived the way he wants to, and he's not going to give up his way of life anytime soon. But in hunting the monsters of the world...seemingly he has become his own. And he embraces that fact.

The Powers and Weaknesses

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.)
Powers

Power 1: Electricity Manipulation: He has the ability to absorb and cast electricity from any part of his body, though he tends to favor his hands and fingers. He can cast and absorb up to 1 AMP of electricity in a constant stream, enough to kill normal people within that one second. Though simply casting bolts tend to only stun and injure and otherwise overwhelm with blinding pain. He can hold up to roughly an hour of that constant stream with in his body, which can be rationed by casting bolts as opposed to using constant streams.

Power 2: Super Strength: Self-explanatory, his strength is heightened to a superhuman level. He can punch or run through thick, concrete walls if he damn well pleases, and can easily maim droves of regular people with the errant throw of a motorcycle. Athletic capabilities are also upgraded to this level.

Power 3: Predator Sensory Heightened hearing, smell, and tasted. Vision is augmented with a low-light to no-light thermal sight, but is provided no boost in range in daylight or nighttime.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Carb-loader's Nightmare: With the sheer amount of electricity he holds, and the amount of calories he burns with his newfound physical capabilities, his body demands an unbelievable amount of food with an addition of a pound of raw meat, and enough sodium plus other electrolytes to sustain his new internal electrical current. Skipping meals can actually prove to be fatal, much like in the MS-DOS game 'Amnesia'. Constant grazing tends to help combat this flaw, but its no replacement for full courses and will only help to delay the inevitable, if it comes down to that. This of course tend to force him to steal what he needs to live, and also forces him to keep a strict monitoring of his own dietary in-take.

Weakness 2: Caution When Handling Battery: While anyone with the power to kill people with a constant stream of electricity would general favor the stream, not only does this burn his hands easily without any metal to conduct with, the metal itself will overheat and will burn him if his power is abused in such a fashion. In addition, his electricity actually supports his whole body, primary organs, muscles, even his brain, and after he drops past the 50% mark, parts and pieces of him will start to fail starting with what is unneeded to ensure the body's continued survival. For example, he may go numb in the hand, then his arm may start to become less responsive, his right eye will plain black out, his heartbeat will grow erratic and his status will continue to deteriorate with the severity climbing in proportion to the loss of electricity. Oh, and his electricity leaks overtime, requiring him to recharge every day. Thankfully, the current of basic household electrical wiring doesn't produce 1 AMP and is generally safe for him to use when recharging...although dullfully slow.

Weakness 3: Exhaustion: Depending on how much he exerts himself, some nights may require his body be more well-rested than others, forcing him to sleep in more than he likes  even with an alarm set to wake him up. As such there's always a bit of clash between him and punctuality, especially if he decides to force himself  to stay up until the early hours of the morning.  Without proper care to what time he heads to sleep, or how much sleep he gets,  he could easily end up with enough sleep deprivation and fatigue to put him out of commission for the day. Taking naps between battles tends to help maintain his sleep schedule to a somewhat manageable level when possible.

Regardless of how potent or etc a weakness is, you still are required to provide 1 weakness for every 1 power. The SHRP System explains it better, but you do not have to have your weaknesses be in any way directly correlated with you powers. So long as the weakness is something exploitable either physically or mentally, it is considered a weakness.

So he could have a severe allergy to Grapes, much like my OC Tyuki [whom of which you can click on in my signature if you're curious] or have a mental weakness much like ADD or ADHD. My OC Miri [she's also in my signature] has a weakness in which music can easily distract her.

And as for the Priority list; be sure to place numbers, or put them in order of 1-4. This list is as if they were to be gauged as a human. IE: What is their best trait?

For Tyuki [using her as an example again] she has her highest priority as strength, because she is just naturally stronger. Take away her powers and she would likely still be naturally stronger.

And her least priority is Reaction due to her slower... mind. She's not the brightest crayon in the box, but she gets the job done. (:

Regardless of needing 1 more weakness, and to properly label your priorities, this app looks mighty fine. (:

I'll be glad to have ya actually RPing on the board when you've gotten the edits made.

Feel free to jump in the Cbox if you get finished editing and need another moderator or administrator to approve/take a look at your app.

Happy RPing!
