Colin is a leanly built guy of around 5'6, unintimidating in stature and that is typically how he enjoys himself to appear. His skin is a natural healthy tan, and peering from his skill are two chocolate brown orbs, around the same color as his hair which is usually kept in a short cut. Typically he is seen wearing casual clothing, such as jeans or anything that catch his interest, as his wardrobe for the most part can change depending upon his mood.

The Legacy

Personality: Generally a fun loving guy, Colin is always the type to party when the occasion rises. Whether that be with close friends or people he barely knows, any chance to cut loose is one that he will take gladly and without any sort of hesitation. A perpetual grin is always plastered upon his face, and the façade of nothing can bother him is always prevalent. However despite his seemingly carefree attitude, he can be fiercely protective of his friends and anyone that he considers a friend, as well as family. This friendly persona that the male puts up is not always the one that one will see however, as it is indeed only a façade.

Colin is a self-conscious individual, placing any and all concerns for himself behind a barrier of friendly graces. While a smile is something a lot of people see, that may not reflect how he is really feeling inside, and may perhaps even be the opposite of how it appear entirely. Despite being what many people would call dense, he is skilled in hiding his emotions as well as what he is feeling, thus making him a hard book to read. Granted some people claim to find him to be an easy enough book to read with very few minutes with him, that is farther from the truth than one could believe.

It is when taking on the identity within the exosuit that he seemed to change almost completely, acting as a guided machine against that which he calls injustice, that which he calls evil. To this end, he will do whatever he considers necessary to cleanse the evil, short of killing the innocent. Some of his methods at times can seem almost insane, but then again there is always a method to his insanity, and this method is revealed as time goes on.

History: Colin was born knowing that his life cost his mother hers, and ever since then has held a certain amount of pressure upon himself. After all, he would take it well that their birth was the cause of their mother dying? Angst aside, he was born the third of three children, making him the youngest, and sheltered despite the fact that part of him expected his father to despise him for his hand within aforementioned tragedy, yet that was not the case as things seemed to go on as one would expect in a family. Where he got his name however was a much simpler process, as he had gotten it from his grandfather of all people, a maverick of sorts and the one that moved his little family to the great country of America in the first place. It was also him that was the first recorded metahuman in their family line, the grandfather mind you, not the kid himself.

What the capabilities were, did not find themselves being recorded, but one thing that was known was that it had something to do with the mind and his father had inherited such a trait for himself. This came in the form of a powerful mind, one that grasped all forms of information with little effort, and to this end he took great advantage of it. Along with this was a mind that could understand almost any mechanism that he touched, and with it he created things, and with them slowly began to make a fortune for himself, and with that a life for his family. Growing up, Colin's life was not difficult but it was by no means cushy, as anything he wanted he found himself working towards in one way or another, even if that work was not direct. Perhaps it was just for some manner of attention from his seemingly distant father or something along those lines or something else, either way it was always something.

Perhaps it was just a need to be noticed, and one could not blame a child for that much, as anyone would want to be noticed and to be recognized by their parents. Regardless he never really received that recognition that he desired from his father, yet he found himself coddled by his eldest sibling. While it may have been at times tough love, it was love nonetheless and that was something that bound him to the older male more than anything, and even to the middle child, weaving a sort of brotherly camaraderie between them. They helped each other out, and that was how life would go, with their father spending minimal time with them, despite the fact that he may have been trying to give them the best life that he could, and with his genius only in higher demand, that left them with even less time with them. It was this that caused a certain drifting between Arthur Wright and his three children, yet one could not say there was any sort of hate directed towards him; no they could never hate him per se.

However as life went on, they would begin to develop the effects of the metahuman gene that was prevalent within his family, or rather their family. His eldest developed what appeared to be some manner of superhuman physicality, strength, speed and durability all beyond what a normal human should be capable of and he was ecstatic about what he could do. The middle however seemed more gifted with the powers of the mind, telekinesis, telepathy and even heightened intelligence, all of them seeming to be the opposite of what the other held, yet there was one that was left out of this genetic lottery and that was the youngest of the three sons. When holding out his hands as if expecting something from fate, he was left with nothing in return, he was seemingly given the middle finger. Perhaps that was what he should have expected, causing the death of his mother at birth, this was to be the price for doing so; to be powerless.

Colin felt dejected almost in the face of everything, wondering what had went wrong with him, and perhaps if he was a mistake. One could call this teenage angst, and for the most part they could have been right. Despite how much he despised the feeling coursing through him, he was angry at his siblings, and a feeling of jealousy too washed through him. It was another thing they experienced that he was denied, another thing that proved the earlier assumption upon himself, and yet he managed to keep these things from spilling over. One thing that he was thankful for was that his siblings did not use their powers on one another, as if that would break a sort of sacred vow, and it was that which kept his controlled hatred from being found out. There was both love and hared within him, yet he could not quite explain why that was the case, why he felt such strong emotions over something that many other people seemed to have gotten over. This was how puberty went for him, a time of jealousy and overall spite that washed over him.

One thing he did not take into account within this time was that his father would notice one thing, or perhaps it was part of his metahuman capabilities as well but he had secretly noticed the small darkness festering within him. However it was not as if he could just conjure him metahuman capabilities, as that was something that not even his mind could dream up but there was something that he could do that was just as good, a second best so to speak. It involved a large amount of his research into cybernetics, information taken in and things of that nature, and with the clientele that were basically knocking at his door so to speak, he did not have a shortage of information and even parts. It was around this time that he found himself under the employ of a man by the name of Ryan Masters, an eccentric sort that offered him almost unlimited resources if he only did one thing, and that was uncover the secret behind the metahuman gene and how it offered powers to what would have otherwise been a human. With this contract in tow, he would delve into it, and leave even less time with his children as they went through the wondrous journey that was known as puberty.

Having grown used to the constant movement within their lives, he would adapt to their new life in Canada, and with it Colin would flourish like he always did, while his father toiled away on many things. While it was not the first thing upon the mans mind, alleviating the misery at being looked over was still there and so he worked, on both the task that Ryan Masters had asked of him and a side project, one that he had nicknamed Project Vanguard. However this was something that would remain secret to the male, until its completion, yet that did not reach him in time. When it did was when he was approached by a male around his age, one that had called themselves Travis Masters, informing him and his siblings about a lab accident that had claimed their fathers life. However the result was that considering that his contract had been completed, they would be offered a huge settlement to compensate them for their loss, as well as a small amount of information that this mysterious individual had offered only to Colin. He was to meet Travis at the main offices of Masters Pharmaceuticals, and there he would learn something.

Upon arriving he was met with Travis Masters who had led him to where something was being held, or rather was being detained for him in particular. While it would have been protocol for the piece of tech to have been detained, the male simply gave it away to him, even offering a small job under him. While the job given to him seemed almost pointless, it offered him what one would call an amazing amount of resources, yet he was not informed of what he would have to do. One thing that did come along with this suit was a small message within the hard drive, one form his father of all people. It mostly explained what the purpose of the suit was, and it was within that moment that he perhaps felt the turmoil within subside, only to rage once again. While it was not powers per se, it was something that made him feel less helpless and with it, he felt a certain duty like his siblings did; heroism.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Suit Processors: While his mind is still human within power, his suit is capable of processing things at a much higher rate, transferring the information to his mind, or even just performing the complex calculations itself, and dumbing it down to a level that he could easily comprehend, carrying a catalog of every language and dialect that is spoke on earth. Along with this, it can calculate paths and things of that nature, projecting things that he is viewing and scanning them, calculating ways that he could react to them and sending the information personally to his mind within a matter of seconds. Overall, it is the suit that is the brains of the outfit rather than the one that is controlling it, though one could argue that in essence they share a mind, and that he is as intelligent at the suit itself, considering that the central controlling ai is implanted into his brain, it is also this chip that can supercharge his body to to speak, allowing him to react at far greater rates, as well as transfer information on how to counter certain fighting styles into him. The suit is built with a special synchronization function, causing a sort of mental merge with the suit, allowing the controller to truly use the suit to its fullest against tougher metahumans. However, so far only 90% synchronization has been safely reached, more likely bringing excessive brain damage.

The Vanguard Suit: A suit made of seemingly space age polymers, ones that transcend common metals, and also allow it to be immune to metallokinetic that would take advantage of the suits make up. Its is built with powerful kinetic dampeners that would allow the wearer to take heavy blows without suffering damage from the recoil, thus allowing him to go against metahumans without being splattered against the wall or something like that. Along with this, it is capable of increasing his inherent speed through specialized technology, that increases movement speed; through both his legs, arms and other parts of his body, over all making him a rather annoying foe to fight up close. A plus of this is that this also extends to his physical strength, increasing his strength to a superhuman level, either through striking, leaping or anything else that strength is used for, making him deadly to most humans without needing to access his suits arsenal. Lastly they have built in plasma thrusters within the feet and wrists, as well as the back, allowing a form of free flight.

Vanguard Weapon System: The weapons of the Vanguard suit are mostly powered by a powerful and small energy core located around the chest area. This is a core that is theoretically capable of creating a near endless energy supply, by using an unknown technology that was developed by Vanguards father. This function separates into several weapons systems.

The Vanguards wrath: A powerful cannon that extends outwards from the back of the suit, one that upon being deployed will unleash a powerful burst of energy, enough to level almost anything within its path, The problem with this weapon is that it causes a lot of collateral damage, so Colin rarely deploys it.
Repulsor gauntlets: He can channel the energy through his palms in the form, the effects of the wave can range from a simple push to something that can cause major damage.
Wrist mounted gun: Small guns that spring out from his wrists that release a small volley of energy rounds from them, capable of piercing metahuman skin with relative ease, these rounds can also be released as condensed bursts of energy from the palms of the suit itself.
Energy blades: Blades of pure energy that form from two ports within the arm sections of his suit, ones that extend to about a meter long and weigh almost nothing to Vanguard, ones that allow him to cleave through most materials with ease, even metahuman flesh.
Chaos Cylinder: A small weapon that is carried around his waist, one that circulates a particular grenade that he only carries in short supply, of around 3-5. It is these grenades that are what one could consider rather dangerous when used properly. They upon activation can be thrown, and after a small delay will activate, releasing as field that rapidly destroys or damages anything that it touches, and then once that field is done it would rapidly contract. Upon doing so, it would pull in, or attempt to pull in anything to the point that it is collapsing and rapidly eviscerate it.
Tracking Bug: His suit can discharge a small tracking chip that is difficult to be seen, but can be followed personally by him. It allows him to follow whatever or whoever is marked by it to wherever their location it, has a built in microphone to allow him to listen in on conversations and such, as well as it can transmit this information to his suits database to be analyzed later if need be.
Life support Systems: Systems built within the suit, allows the operator to survive within places they would normally not, such as the vacuum of deep space, underwater and in intense heat. It also has minor medical functions, such as painkillers and coagulants to keep him from dying, or passing out.
Wireless System: His suit is capable of accessing the internet via a few modules within the head of the suit, allowing it wireless capabilities, as well as the ability to hack electronics, such as security netoworks, and things of that nature.
Visual systems: A function of the visor of the suit, thats allows him to scan and recognize things, before putting through a database that the suit functions on by accessing multiple networks that it is connected through via the internet. This allows for the recognition of substances, faces, blood samples and many other things in between. Along with this, he is capable of zooming in with this feature to allow him to better scan things from afar. A secondary function of this system is that it allows the wearer low light vision through a night vision setting, infrared vision, and a few other spectrums.
Suit Repair Protocol: The suit is capable of self repairing itself, knitting together broken components to reform itself as a whole through heavy expenditure of the internal core.
Defensive Measures: His suit is capable of producing two small, and self contained shields of energy that morph out from around his wrists, taking on the shape and size of your average hand held shield. They are incredibly durable, and capable of protecting him from most means of harm with little relative damage to themselves, so long as they are held in front of the attack. However they do have their limits, and if these shields are broken, the module that creates them require a recharge before they can come into use once again.

Prosthetic Arm: Normally looks like an arm, but is capable of changing shape to allow its various functions to activate. This even amounts to the arm opening up to allow his suit to be able to be worn whenever he needs it. The arm itself comes with many functions, one of them being that it can act as an arm.

Tri Canister haze: His arm releases a canister that produces a gas. Upon contact with certain energies, it will crystallize before dissipating, thus protecting him from the energies that had been launched at him. His arm only holds two of these, meaning that he must however make careful use of this arm.
Toxic net: His arm can also produce a net, that while by itself is nothing special it is coated within a powerful toxin capable of paralyzing a whale within five seconds. So imagine what it could do to a metahuman, even if they are superhumanly durable.
Energy Blade: His suit draws in energy from things around it, forming a rather large blade of energy capable of cutting through one hundred tanks. He can also use that energy to form a biological emp that shuts down a biological beings body.
Vanguard Suit: The arm also holds the Vanguard suit within it, now capable of producing the suit no matter the circumstance, the suit forming a sort of barrier around him before forming on him.

Weaknesses

Only Human: Despite the power of the Vanguard suit, Colin is still human and without it he can die much like any human could.

Heroism: Innocent people, especially children can be used to easily stop Colin.

Self conscious: While it is not always obvious, Colin is terribly self conscious and those that know how to use it, can take advantage of something like that.

Family: Colin dearly loves his two elder brothers, and if they were used against him, he would be at a disadvantage.

Weak stomach: Colin has a very weak stomach, and excessive blood or gore can cause him to grow sick, even cause him to vomit.

Energy Core: While it can produce a massive amount of energy, which is useful, Consecutive damage to the core would cause the suit to meltdown and possibly explode.

Weather: It's flight can be hindered in stormy weather, making navigation hard and any sort of smooth flying difficult.

Very happy to see how thought out all of the components of your characters suit is as well as his weaknesses. A lot of them are fairly easy to exploit. Poor guy.

Especially the human part.
