"Don't You Dare Forget the Sun"

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Skyler_decaying_by_loserfacerochelle-d8t14h5

As the sun dipped behind of a thicket of evening clouds, almost inking out the gorgeous oranges, pinks, and purples, a pair of silvery orbs watched from a perch atop a stoic roof. The remaining pieces that was once the glorious statuesque monument of New York City stood, but only with the hope of the people living within the city limits. The aforementioned piercing silver hues caught a glimmer of the winking sun as it vanished, deep blue skies taking over. With most of the bad people out of the city, the sky opened up more during the night. No more unnecessary vehicles to roam the streets and spout pollution. Leaning over the edge of the building, a very complicated looking combat boot pressed into the crumbling edge, sending debris raining down from the roof top.

Skyler had to admit, Doctor Necrodium did know how to wipe out a nuisance... despite all the casualties in the process.

Brushing a fingerless gloved hand through her shorter hair, she heard a notification ping sound from her wrist. A luke warm breeze brushed by the femme as she relaxed her form, her foot lowering from it's perch on the ledge of the building. Popping up, from seemingly thin air, was a small female looking hologram. The small figure looked like a ballerina with hair that went all the way to her ankles. Grinning, the tiny hologram gave a half asses salute to the human girl, Skyler.

"Mama! Reports have come forward! Your target is dining at La Notte on West 44th Street! Sources say they are dining alone, but we can never trust our sources!"

"Except when there's picture evidence," Skyler said as Aiva started to hold up holographic pictures of the target.

His name? Skyler had no idea, she only knew him by L'Uomo, literally translating to 'The Man.' A few aliases were John Smith, Eric Clapton, and Thomas Edison. The broad range of aliases had people confused, and off of his trail. Luckily for Skyler, she had created one of the nosiest artificial intelligence systems in the world. Aiva was the best at internet stalking Skyler's bounties, and this guy was cornered.

"The only issue is... do I wear the little black dress or the little red dress?" Skyler smirked, her hands reaching behind of her as she started to unpin her corset to release her torso from it's bound prison.

"Ooh! Definitely red, and the red lipstick. When you wear black you look like a newspaper." Aiva commented, meaning that Skyler's silver hair, eyes, and pale skin did not go well with black outfits. It helped her blend in to gray scenery, though.

"Ouch. Way to hit me in the heart, hon. Check on Lilia. I'll call you if I need you. But, be sure to have my back, hm?" Skyler said, slipping herself into the little red dress. She stashed her blade on it's holster strapped to her upper thigh. Within the blade was a hyperdermic needle with a highly potent, untraceable drug that only took a total of ten seconds to kill victims. Skyler's one job was to get this man off of this world. He had hurt one too many families, namely little innocent girls. No one got away with ruining the future of poor, defenseless little girls.

Stashing the rest of her items into a bag, and ditching her combat boots, Skyler stepped into a pair of black open toed four inch heels. This took her normal five feet, seven inch height to a whopping five feet, eleven. It also made her ass and calves look amazing. Lazily pinning her hair up to show of her shoulders and neck line, she made sure to leave part of it down to cover her right eye. A few strands of course framed around the left edge of her face. She had no mirror, but she felt beautiful.

One last touch, however, was applying the dark red lipstick to her plump, pouty lips. Offering a smile to no one in particular, she nodded and made her way down the fire escape, careful not to ruin her attire. Tucked under one of her arms was a simple clutch, within it her higpoly revolver. Well, a compact version of the gun. It came with no fancy add ons, besides a silencer. If the job went awry, she had to have a back up. Long strides carried her to the velvet rope entrance where she bat her lashes at the bouncer. This restaurant obviously had someone important inside. Nothing could keep her out. Her appearance gave her the invitation she needed. Exotic beauty.

Stepping inside of the restaurant, Skyler scanned the masses, looking for any signs of body guards. Finding them standing outside of the private dining hall, she decided she would need to make her way there, but first she would need to bring attention to herself. Sauntering to the bar, necks almost breaking to take second and third looks at her, she smiled at the bar keep and asked for a Bourbon, straight.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 11th 2015, 8:22 pm

There was always time to make a little money. I needed to make two ends meet in my life. That happened to be how much money I had, vs how much money I owed Sam for all the motorcycle parts. Sure, I worked in the local autoshop. And our name around town wasn't all that bad. We had people come in from all walks of life. One of them happened to be a man who had a very high priced dollar sign over his head. As with gadgets, I liked to make things. So a simple thing as a cellphone strapped to the inside of a wheel well, or say, an actual GPS device that was small enough to be hidden on the car that I had to work on, would be very easy to come by, as well as place on the car without anyone else knowing. As it so happened, the GPS was placed on the actual inside of the wheel. I did that yesterday morning. Tracking it around town, and finally it stopped at one place that I knew to be the hang out of all that was powerful.

La Notte. A fine dining restaurant that only exclusive people were allowed in. Since he had eaten there the night before, I thought I might as well check on how to get in. As normal, The front door wasn't so easy to get in, but I would try, oh I would try. I had gathered the needed items, and went to work. I had scoped the place out at closing time to see janitors leaving the building. I had followed them home easily by moving across the rooftops. You see, nobody looks up for someone who would be following you. Anybody who does is either really scared, or just know how some can follow from any direction. I watched the man. Entering a slum like joint of apartments, the man made his way into one of the houses. And here is where I made my move.

To keep myself silent, I had used worn sneakers, and had taken old cloths and tied them on the soles. I also wore a black set of jeans, a dark grey t-shirt, and black hoodie. Gloves to cover my hands, and a bandana to wrap around my mouth to prevent identification if anyone saw me. I had dropped down as he was moving up to his door. Moving towards the complex as though i lived here as well. As I was getting closer, the man turned around and faced me. Looking to see if I was a threat. I had my arms folded, and shook myself. Faking to be shaking in the cold. The man turned around, and I ran for it. Rushing him before he could question that it was not nearly cold enough to be shivering. As he faced me, I was in the air, and had already come down on him. The door he had unlocked was slightly open as I landed down ontop of him, and shocked him with my bare hands. I then spun around, and went backwards into the door dragging him with me.

I closed the door, and locked it. If anybody looked outside, they would find nothing out of place. I walked over and shut the curtains to hide everything that would happen inside, and I proceed to work. First, I checked the house to see if anybody was in here. The only thing here was a snake that was half dead in the cage. I shook my head. And moved to undress the man. Taking his work uniform, and tools that were with him. Because I didn't want him exposing me, I would have to kill him. No biggie. Nothing a little bit of well placed electricity could do. Picking him up in his whitie-tighties, I moved him to the chair, and propped the foot rest up. laying him in it, I made it look like he was sleeping. Turning on the TV to the good ol "entertainers" channel where all the nice ladies dance for free, I then. well. I am not proud of doing it, but I made him look like he was having the time of his life. And then placed my hand over his chest, and sent a few thousand volts into his heart. Making him have an irregular heart rate, causing a heart attack. With him asleep, he wouldn't wake up from it.

It's not like I was a bad person, but if a man had a heart attack from having too much fun, then it would be a funny story for the cops, and very liable. Seeing as how there were hundreds of people who died from irregular heartbeats every year. So doing something that is stressful on the heart? Ta-fucking-da. I picked up the clothes, grabbed his badge, and his lunchbox, and left the apartment through the window which I then closed. Making my way back home.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After getting home, I continued to work. Cutting out the name and picture on the paper of the badge behind the plastic shield, I pasted my own picture on it, one from when I had taken only a few moments before, and put a fake name on there. "Adam Sparks." Good name, and when Sam looked over my shoulder to see what I was doing, She laughed. Seeing as how Sam lived next door, and she wanted to know what I was doing, might as well let her since she knew how to keep quiet. Pointing out that the name was a pun with my electricity and Adam being really close to Atom. Which is a major part of electricity. I shook my head.

Nothing passes you

I continued on, and had everything ready for later tonight.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunset. And after taking a rather nice rest, I had gotten up and eaten before I got ready. Dressing myself up in a janitors uniform, and smiled as Sam showed me the news of a guy found dead while jerking himself off.

And in other news today, In the local apartment complex known as "Harlem's lot" A man was found dead from natural causes after having a little bit of too much enjoyment. Looks like he died a happy man. Thank you for watching INBC Ne-

I smiled as Sam looked at me. Asking with a stare if I did it. I shook my head as I zipped up the Jacket's uniform to hide a short sword underneath, and a vial of snake venom. In the lunchbox was not lunch, but a homemade pipe bomb that would go of by remote detonation. And currently, I was wearing rubber gloves to prevent any shocks from my hands to make the bomb go boom in my hands. Walking out of the apartment I lived in, Sam was yelling after me to "Just make sure you are safe" kind of motherly phrase that I didn't really care for.

And I made my way towards the front door of the joint. Watching as many were walking in. Even a woman in a rather short dress that was making it very hard not to look at her ass. Even more so with the legs. I was a Leg guy, and well, nothing wrong with those set of legs. As I tried to walk in, the bouncer looked at me like I was an idiot,

"The hell, Janitors go around back you dumbass." To which I shrugged my shoulders and started to explain that I was new, and I wasn't told that. He pointed me to the back where I was allowed in after they scanned my card to clock me in. Walking in, I set my lunch box in the locker that was labeled for the dead guy, I looked around to see that everybody was already on their shift, In which, I placed the lunch box in, and left it there for later use.

I shrugged off my jacket, having the short sword moved with it's sheath to the inside of my pants, and moved the vial to my pocket. I grabbed the little cart of chemicals and cleaning materials, and made my way towards the man, who I was to kill this night.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Chellizard May 11th 2015, 9:45 pm

Sipping on the bourbon, Skyler's very high cellular repair rate forced her body to expel the alcohol immediately. It processed quickly, leaving her from suffering the actual effects. Normally it took buckets and buckets of alcohol to get her even a little bit buzzed. Luckily for her, the good people of Dominus created a serum to nullify her regenerative factor long enough for her to get drunk, or severely hurt. Upon destruction of that group, however, Skyler recovered the serum, recipe, and destroyed any DNA they had left of her's.

Finishing her drink, she looked across the room and caught her eyes locking onto those of L'Uomo. Onyx orbs were hard to notice staring back. Skyler had barely noticed until the light reflected off of his very shiny watch. The glint in his eyes caused Skyler to put on her game face. She realized he was staring and this was her time to pounce. Leaving her glass on the table with a singular, crisp fifty dollar bill - a very high tip at exactly thirty-eight dollars and thirteen-cents, she started to close the distance between her and her target.

Unbeknownst to L'Uomo, Skyler was a highly trained woman that knows how to take down opponents that are easily double or triple her size. Clicks resonated to only add to the symphonic sounds of people wining and dining as her designer pumps hit the marble floor below. Each step showed power and presence. With her left eye being the only visible one, she passed a semi-uninterested gaze toward L'Uomo to get his attention even more. She noticed him sitting up, completely ignoring the other women dining with him for the evening. Skyler turned and went passed the private dining room toward the elevator that took her up to the roof. A more private area. The bell boy was standing in a cute hat and vest, very silently waiting for instructions.

"To the roof," she said, adjusting the skirt of her dress slightly. The younger man leaned forward and pressed the roof access button without questioning Skyler's reasons. Just before the doors closed, L'Uomo approached, followed by two men. Skyler had to admit, even she was impressed with her own tactics.

"Well, hello hello." He started, his voice riddled with an accent that seemed fake. It was a hybrid Australian/Northern London accent, and this only made Skyler smile. To the man in front of her, he had impressed her - but that was definitely not the case.

"Hello. Going up?" she asked, taking a singular step to the side giving more room for L'Uomo to ride up with her.

"Aye whas wahndering if yhew whould joiahn me fuh dinnah," he said, making sure to put emphasis on his accent. To a common person, the accent would fool them. And it did, evidently. To Skyler? She was seriously getting more and more annoyed by the two twangs mashing together.

"I'm afraid not. I want to be on the roof. If you would like to join me," she started, and as she cut herself off, L'Uomo gave his guards the 'get away' signal. A wave of his hand sent the men backward from the elevator a few steps. Skyler gave L'Uomo a quirked brow and a half smirk. "I'm sure you have other women you would rather spend time with," she said during the ride up two floors to the roof. Nestled between two buildings, the roof was covered with a Gazebo type ceiling. Vines and vegetation of sorts decorated the terrace bringing life to the would be dull atmosphere. Cast iron tables and chairs were spread out, and not a single couple was up here. The percentage chance of rain inhibited their want to be out here.

Skyler knew that the rain would come, and with a quick sniff of the air, could smell the increase in moisture. It would be soon time to take this man's life and leave him sitting alone. Crossing from the elevator as it closed behind her, Skyler made her way to the edge of the roof to look down through the iron bar fence that kept any drunks from taking a nose dive into the street below.

"This is gorgeous," she said, smiling. She had no meaning behind of the words, and spoke them to only lure L'Uomo in further. She heard his foot steps come closer, and felt his hand rest against her lower back.

"It is, the view, I mean." he said this while looking over Skyler's face. She had no idea he was such a sap. But she knew he was a psychopath and did what he did only because he wanted things just because. He had no desire for love, or any real emotion. His intentions were that of pure greed.

Blinking her silver eye at him, she offered a quick smile, and with her lightning reflexes, drew the hyperdermic needle and plunged it into his neck, just as thunder and lightning crashed in the heavens causing them to cry heavily. Rain washed over La Notte.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 12th 2015, 9:47 pm

The place was filled with people. Alive and running so fast. It was hard to keep track of all the people. Looking to make sure they wouldn't hit me, or find out about how the man I had killed wasn't here for his shift. And the New guy seemed to be spacing out. Sure, I may have gotten in a better place, but to do that I needed more time than what I had. There were times when searching for anyone could be easy. Even more so when the man was dressed in likely the most expensive suit here. I pushed my way out side of the doors, Finally getting past all the cooks and people behind the scenes bustling about trying to please those who were here.

Looking about, it was rather easy to find the man. Flanked by guards as he stood up and followed someone. I looked ahead and found the girl with the red dress again. I could say very easily that she could capture the eye of a lot of people. If you didn't happen to see her beauty, then either you were dropped on your head as a child, or you were a little fruity and didn't go that way. Still, I watched as the target was clearly making contact with the woman. All of this happening right in front of the elevator, Suddenly, I was pulled on the back of my collar back through the doors by a rather strong man.

He turned me around and literally slapped me across the face and spoke in a very loud voice. You must be new here huh? Well rule number one. My word is law. Two, don't look at the ladies here. They are here for a job or for some fine dinning. Leave them alone an three I-

The man continued to ramble on, and I was really not feeling up to the idea of being ridiculed in front of all these people. I shook my head. How about you shut the fuck up, and kiss my ass. my left hand slammed into the man's solar plexus. Making him literally lose all the air in his lungs as the diaphragm was shoved up from the displacement of my fist. Even more so, I then reached up, grabbed the man by the back of the head, and brought his head down while my knee came up to slam almost perfectly on his face. Blowing it up with blood from his nose, I then took my elbow and slammed it down on the back of his head.

All of it happened so fast, that the staff in the room hadn't moved until I let the man go onto the ground and started to walk out. All of them wondering why I did that. Chaos ensued, Well maybe. More so when I walked out, I yelled while pointing to the kitchen, He's about to get away! Get Him! A few of the guards who were with people rushed over and through to find the man bloody, unable to breath, let alone talk, and on the verge of passing out, with people yelling about what just happened. I took this time to make it towards the elevator as the doors closed.

Shit. Missed it. I waited a few seconds to see the elevator reached the top floor. I growled. Looking for any kind of door with the right symbol, I found the one that showed stairs were behind it. I smiled, and rushed over to the door. Bashing the door out of my way with my arm, it smacked into the wall as I passed it, only to close behind me with a heavy thunk as I moved to the center of the stairwell. I thrust my hands down, and focused my powers into my hands and feet. Upon release, I was thrust into the air, bursting up towards the top stairs. Skipping floor by floor rather quickly, I got to the top in about a minute, and while I was opening the door, I drew my sword.

Upon opening it, I found that the woman was hanging on the man, and watched as her hand slammed down onto the man. The lightning accenting her form to show that she had stabbed a needle into the man. I literally was so pissed off, I didn't know what to do. I was almost there! I could of had him! Yet this, now looking like a whore, woman had taken my kill from me. Alright, I will say that when I get mad I become a Sailor.

What the Bloody hell! You killed the... This is complete bullshit. Just because you have a nice ass does not mean you can take my kill!

The sword in my hand, and my other balled up ready to punch the crap out of the woman. I just wanted money. I wanted so dearly to get enough to survive for maybe a few more weeks. And pay off my debts. Now? either I would have to kill this woman and take the money from the bounty's source, or just deal without the money for a while. And well, that was a lot of money.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Chellizard May 12th 2015, 10:48 pm

The sky turned into a light show as lightning crackled through the clouds, and rain came down soaking Skyler through to the bone in minutes. Skyler's hands gripped onto her target, keeping him held upright as she forced the poison into his neck. It would only take a few seconds to take his life, and Skyler felt no form of remorse. As L'Uomo took his last few breaths, he laughed.

"And to think..." the accent was finally dropped, leaving a standard American one. "I thought you were beautiful." His head lulled to the left, and his body fell limp. Not being the strongest in the world, she almost dropped him right there. Almost two-hundred pounds of dead weight is not something she enjoys carrying around all of the time.

"That's the problem. You thought, hon." She carefully pulled the needle from his neck and laid him on the floor, her attention turning toward the stairway access door. She must not have heard it open. That damn thunder, always causing so much noise.

She turned her head and stood quickly, attaching her blade back to the handle of her weapon. Her hair flipped back out of her face and fell to frame in slightly. This revealed her right eye and the wicked scar running from above her brow to just an inch above her jaw. During her attack on L'Uomo, she had dropped her clutch on the ground and it slid away from her, underneath of a table. The seven inch knife in her hand was now her only weapon to compare to the sword drawn in retaliation from this new man on the roof top. His comment made her curious. Was he also after this piece of scum?

"Ooh. Thanks for the compliment. But you've seen my face," she said, another bright flash of lightning crossing the sky, and thunder following immediately after. "We can't have people running around who know what I look like." She said, turning her wrist to swing her blade around. The dim mood lights flickered as the storm grew thicker. The rain made for an epic movie scene, but this was real life, and Skyler was not about to let someone get the drop on her.

She rushed forward, grabbing one of the cast iron chairs as she did, and slung it toward Xander, her right hand gripping through the brass knuckles on the hilt of her knife. Her fist was reared back and ready to crash into her new opponents face. There was no time to formulate a discreet way to dispose of this man. She had to do this here, now, and as quickly as possible.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 13th 2015, 12:48 am

I watched from where I stood as the man went slump. Falling down onto the roof. The lifeless body was now being slowly drenched in water. I looked up at the sky for a moment, as it began to rain. Well, more so it was turning from a mist, into a pouring of water down. Not enough to cause any real harm to me, but was likely the best environment for my skills. The Storm was just over us. I used Electricity as a power, and I had a metal sword in my hand. Literally the conditions were well set in my favor in some cases. However, I had to be careful of the larger sized puddles should I get my face or bare skin on them, then I would get a little shock. Literally in this case.

Her voice reached me. Thanking me for the compliment, and then stating she would have to kill me because I saw her. She held a knife within her hands. From the flash of lightning, I could tell that it was a trench knife style. The brass knuckles were likely going to be used in a close range. I flipped the sword around to be in a reverse grip, using for blocking strikes, and yet still can be used for striking itself. I smiled as she charged at me. Throwing the chair, I ducked and yet could still feel one of the legs scrape across the back of my leather jacket.

As I came up, I could see her coming even closer to hit me. I had to act fast. Instead of attacking or straight up defending, I did both. Electrifying my hand, I came forward to punch at her as well. Aiming to actually strike her own fist. Sure, it will hurt my hand, but the contact with metal to my own fist would electrocute her. Even as she stood in the rain, her wet clothes would now instead of being insulators, would become conductors. Being a person who radiated electricity on a whim, it was harder for me to electrocute myself, as well, the electricity would follow the path of least resistance. Meaning, it was all going to her.

I was not done. While I would send the punch her way, my own sword would lash out. Acting much like I was swinging my elbow to strike at her, the sword would be between my elbow and her chest where I was attempting to cut her open. A strike at the heart should be good enough to kill her right?

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Chellizard May 13th 2015, 1:10 am

The electrical shock was not avoidable. Skyler was going to suffer the volts rushing through her no matter what, but luckily for her, she was quicker at reacting to things than most people in the world. The sword that was aimed at her chest was easily knocked up by her own blade just before his fist made contact with her. Instead of plunging into her heart, the blade rushed by her neck, slicing into her upper shoulder. The deep gash sent a gush of blood down her chest, but the rain washed it away before it could stain. Not that red could stain a red dress.

The electricity, however, sent her into a convulsion of sorts. As the electricity traveled over her body, her cells reacted quickly, repairing the moment one of them died off. So she felt the pain, she even felt a little faint, but as her body repaired itself, she regained composure quickly. Everything happened in a matter of three seconds. Once the third second ticked by, Skyler had her own knife pointed out, away from Xander. Switching her blade to her left hand during the chaos, she had her brass knuckles sent straight into his lower side, aiming to punch him near his liver. The intention was to send him straight into an unconscious state.

"That wasn't very nice," she said, a few sparks rolling across her skin like leftover static cling. If the punch connected, she would already have her right fist ready to send another punch to his solar plexus, the heel of her right palm facing up so that she could apply the most force. The motion of her right hand was matched with a motion of her right foot. It swept between his legs to then sweep out toward the right to attempt and knock him off of his feet. If her punch to his gut and leg sweep connected, he would be knocked on his ass.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 13th 2015, 8:12 am

What the actual hell? Sure, her body was electrocuted, but even then, Shocks like this normal humans couldn't shrug off. Even more so with my blade cutting into her chest, I watched as the wound then healed almost as fast as I had cut her. My eyes went wide. Realizing that I was not fighting a human, but a Metahuman. Now that would explain the perfectly shaped ass...... well of course the healing factor as well. So it looks like some killing blows for a human, will not be good enough. Even more so, I couldn't think about it at the moment as the weapon was switched hands. Only now did I noticed that, as well as seeing it coming straight for me. with my left arm, I performed an elbow block. Sure, I blocked my side from being hit, but in the process, my arm was going to have one bad ass bruise tomorrow. While it could have been worse, I would rather have bruises, than be dead.

Her voice saying it was not very nice, I stayed silent as she moved incredibly fast. Her palm came for my stomach. Sure, while she moved fast, she telegraphed her movement with an open hand. The palm was easier to block than a straight up punch to the gut. With a easily placed sword in front of my stomach, her palm would smack into the flat of the blade instead of my solar plexus. Which she was likely aiming for.

However, she moved faster, and I was not expecting the sweep of the legs. I was kicked up and landed on my ass, as well as my back. Groaning almost instantly, I used electricity to fuel thrust pushing from the bottom of my feet to let me slide on my back across the rooftop. Getting some distance from the woman before I put my hands over my head, and used my backwards momentum to flip backwards and up onto my feet in a half crouch. This woman was good. Likely trained in hand to hand combat. Sure I was good at close range, but in hand to hand combat? Fuck no. She would beat me every step of the way.

As it so happens, I am an asshole, so nice is not something I am good at.

To accent that, it almost seemed like the lightning gods were on my side as one happened to strike close by, then erupt in thunder just as I was finished. Making me look more powerful than I really was. Anyways, I would have to keep her at the mid range of distance. My left hand lashing out once more to shoot a bolt of lightning at her. If she had a healing factor, she could heal from the burns or the shock pretty well, but how far could her body go? I fired at her a second time. This time a more powerful blast of lightning that could kill any "normal" human with ease. If she could stand it, then I would just have to literally pour the lightning into her.

And there was only one way I knew how I could pour that much energy into her without killing myself. But to do that, I would need time, and the perfect chance to do so. Which at this point, was likely to be a million to one chance. But a guy can hope right?

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Chellizard May 13th 2015, 4:30 pm

There were always things that Skyler wanted to avoid, and being electrocuted was one of them. Once was enough for her liking. Her leg swept so easily into his, forcing him to fall backward. The unexpected burst of electricity that formed heat and blasted him back away from her had her impressed. He was obviously not using any sort of gadget. At first she thought it was from his sword, but it was evidently something he was born with. Or some freak accident caused it.

Taking a deep, steady breath, Skyler adjusted her skirt and stood with her feet shoulder width apart. Her figure was looming over his, rain slick over her toned body. Her silver eyes caught the lightning as it flashed, drawing more attention to them. One was cloudy, a white film over the pupil and part of the iris on her right eye. She was sure that would cause him to be curious.

As her shoulder stitched itself back together, and her body finally fully recovered from the electro shock therapy she was rudely given, she chose to drop down, her knees bending. She then sprung up and flipped backward, twice, her feet landing perfectly. She slid slightly, yet her insanely quick reflexes saved her from wiping out. She chose to do this to get closer to her clutch purse.

It was sitting only six inches from her now. Using her feet, she kicked the bag up, and just as the lightning was shot at her, she had pulled the trigger, aiming for his right shoulder. She didn't want to kill him now. No, not yet. She had a few questions for him. His motives, intentions. Everyone deserved a chance, especially in Skyler's opinion. Karma was what made her choose to give people chances; the more good karma she put in the world, the better off she was. She wasn't called Doctor Karma for nothing.

The strike of lightning hit her directly in the chest. Her flesh charred and was eaten away, but as it was destroyed, new skin replaced it almost instantly. The shock, however, hit her right in the heart. She could feel her heart fade and it caused her to gasp and clutch her chest. The blast also sent her skidding backward, her feet literally sliding out of her shoes.

She was slammed into a chair where the electricity only continued to conduct. The constant conduction was interrupted, finally, by her feet touching the roof. For some reason, her heart started back up and she felt her lungs expand as she gasped for a breath. During the electrical shock she had dropped the gun.

No longer hiding in the computer, Aiva appeared as a full-sized teen hologram. The blueish white girl cried out as she kneeled down in front of a barely conscious Skyler.

"Mama!" whimpering, Aiva leaned her head into Skyler's lap, not that Skyler would feel it.

"... Hhhh," no words could be formed yet. The electricity had completely wrecked her, for now. Her cellular reproduction rate had somehow slowed down, but they were doing their job. The destroyed parts of her body started to repair and her breathing was getting more steady. It only took a singular minute, and Aiva made sure that her mama had the time to get back on her feet.

"YOU HURT HER!" Aiva shouted, turning around. Her whole hologram form turned blood red. The rain interrupted her transmission, but she continued on, walking forward. Damage had been done to the transceiver on Skyler's wrist, so Aiva was glitching in and out of view as she walked closer and closer to Xander.

"HOW COULD YOU?" As Aiva yelled at the top of her lungs, the lights flickered, and then became extremely bright. As Aiva's voice died, the light bulbs burst all at once. Now dark upon the roof, the only light came from the lightning crashing every so often in the clouds. But the strikes were dying out now. The storm was passing.

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 27th 2015, 1:22 am

I stood there as the woman healed once more. Her rush to her purse was unexpected considering she could have won this fight if she could have lasted against the blasts of lightning I had sent. As she went for her bag, I stood and ran towards her. Coming within five feet of her. Just out of reach of my sword. So close to reaching her, yet so far. Might as well had been a mile apart for all I cared. And the reason? She was holding a gun out at me. It was always nice to have a gun, But, looking down the open end of a barrel was not a good idea. Always a bad idea in fact. I slowly raised my hands, Keeping the sword in my hand as she was healing constantly from the blasts, and the cuts I had made at her. When as she fired, a strike of lightning slammed into her. The bullet had left the chamber before she was hit, and I rushed forward.

Only, I stopped again as after she landed, another woman just popped into existence. Flickering in and out like a hologram. Yelling that "Mama" was hurt, and then at me. I held my sword up. Looking in confusion why that was happening. Upon looking at the woman after the smoke from her body was clearing, the wrist bracelet thing was likely the item holding the information considering that she wasn't wearing any other jewelry, or other accessories. Well, maybe her purse. Either way, I looked her over as she received lightning marks They were all over her body. And yet, they were ever so slowly healing as I walked closer to her. I pressed my fingers to her neck, and checked for a pulse. Seeing she was still alive.

Looking around, I kind of felt bad that she was struck with lightning. I was planning on doing that myself. Using my sword as a lightning conductor and then transferring that energy to her, but it looks like the Thunder Gods beat me to it. Either way, I put my sword away as I used my foot to kick the pistol off of the side of the building. I grabbed her purse, and put the knife, and the syringe that she had into them. After putting it around my shoulder, I realized I was in pain.

Looking down to my arm, I saw a bullet wound bleeding through my rain soaked shirt. I powered through the pain to grab her as well. Using my arms like hooks under her armpits, I moved her to the inside of the stairs. setting the purse next to her and writing a note down with a piece of paper that was from her purse. I smiled, and then put the pen I used in my pocket. I walked back outside, to find that the man's body that we were fighting over was now gone. I looked around. Searching for it. Looking down the side of the building. I saw that during our scuffle, and because of the blast of lightning, he had fallen off and landed on one of the ledges. Hanging from his jacket. With cop cars going off below us. The familiar Red and blue lights lighting up the dark sky.

Aw fuck it.

I dove off the side of the building. Letting my body fall at great speeds. only to slow down and move myself with my electric thrusters towards the roof of a different building, and rolling to reduce the impact of the fall. Coming up, I looked to the building I was just on. Watching from afar if the woman would get caught, or if she would be thought as self-defense.

Good luck

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Chellizard May 28th 2015, 1:47 am

Aiva stopped her sobbing and flickered out of view. She then reappeared next to Xander, looking down at Skyler as he started to drag her backward toward the stairwell. Despite being a toned woman, she wasn't that heavy. She was actually light. It might have to do with her cellular make up, but regardless, she was actually fairly easy to move.

While in her unconscious stupor, Skyler's mind wandered, her heart beat faint and her breathing even more-so. Within the confines of her mind, she was walking about a stark white room. At one end there was the sun; shining brightly to fill the room with light. Skyler walked closer to it. Each step she took made the sun move farther and farther away from her. As she came closer, the light started to fade from her, leaving the room an empty, slowly darkening room.

Each step took her to nothing, but she wanted to follow the sun. She reached out, but as she did, the sun came rushing forward. She started to deteriorate. Her flesh chipped away, then her muscles, and the rest of her organs until she was simply a skeleton. Looking up, she closed her eyes and let the sun take her away. Her skeleton then turned to ash and was swept away by wind caused by the sun rushing into her proximity.

As soon as she was swept away, she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Ma'am?" an officer was holding a gun, his finger off the trigger, down to his side.

"I.. uh... I..." Skyler started, her voice a little lost at this moment. Her unconscious had felt so real. She felt death for the first time, and she was happy to have been dead. She did not have to heal anymore. But, she knew that reality would always win and she would have to suppress her fantasies even more.

"Easy. Do you have any idea who this man is?" he asked, holding up a photograph of L'Uomo.

"I... he... brought me up here. I... don't remember much," she said, reaching up to feel her head. Despite healing, blood that seeped out into her clothes remained. Luckily for her, she looked as if she had suffered head trauma.

"... I'm suffering a mild concussive trauma to the left side of my head... There's a mild hematoma present. I'm a doctor, if you're wondering how I know this," suddenly conscious enough, or at least faking that she's conscious enough, she stood up on her feet.

"Ma'am! Easy. Doctor or not, I need you to go with the paramedics and get some medical attention." The officer was being persistent. Annoyed, Skyler shook her head.

"No. I'll be fine. I need rest. I want to go home, not stay here. Thank you for your service," she said, being sure to turn and show her own military tattoo. The eagle, globe, and anchor was sign enough that this woman had been through a lot in her life.

"Oh. Understood." the officer would have hit on Skyler more if she wasn't already half way down the stairwell.

--

Out on the street, Skyler was bare footed, and she needed to find that guy. She either had to kill him, or befriend him now. Seeing as she was still alive, the latter seemed like the best idea.

"Aiva, I need you to do a full city scan. Use any hacks you want; get into the cameras and get me a live feed of every angle around of here. Look at the tapes to see what direction that man went in. Understood?" Skyler was already heading off in the right direction, whether she knew it or not.

"Yes mama! Scanning!"

Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only) Empty Re: Don't You Dare Forget the Sun (Xander; Invite Only)

Post by Adom May 28th 2015, 8:30 am

I watched from the rooftop of the building in the rain as police rushed inside. Moving up and marking off the top of the building, and the ledge from where the man had fallen. I watched as there were flashes from those places. A fight that had taken place, a dead body, and another one that had looked close to death with the amount of blood that was on her. I looked up for a moment to the sky as the storm seemed to thin out just a little. Maybe a small one? Regardless, I smiled and let myself drop off once more from the top of the building. Using my thrusters to land myself down in the alley. Landing down with a roll. I got up and brushed off a ripped shirt that had clung to my wet back.

I grabbed my sword and hid it in the jacket I had picked up. Still wet, but it would be better than nothing. I looked around for anything. And finding a worn baseball cap, I fitted it over my head, and walked out of the ally. Ripping off the name badge I had, I let it drop to the ground. There was no need for me to keep it anymore. I moved along the streets. Moving past others. I turned to look at the door to see the cops were frantically trying to usher everyone out of the building, putting some people into cars of suspects for the crime committed. But then, out of all that, I saw that one fucking dress. The one dress I didn't want to see right now. I looked away and kept walking as though nothing happened, and like this was a normal stroll in the park.

Well, more like I stroll that had weapons, some minor blood stains on my pants as those weren't changed, and raining. Either way, I wanted to stay away from this woman. She might try to fight me again. And while she had been knocked out, I still had to deal with a bullet wound in my arm, Which was increasingly getting worse as my adrenaline wore off, as well as simply the movement jarring the injury. I would have to find a place soon so I could patch it up. As already I could feel the hot liquid slowly dripping down my arm.

As I was walking, I kept looking for something, anything that I could use to restrict the blood flow from my arm. Street vendors sometimes could help. One man that was close was selling food, some hat's, bandanas and.... wait bandanas? I reached out and grabbed one. Tossing some money at him and saying to keep the change. Turns out, I handed him a ten, when it was worth like three. Still, as I walked, I dug under the jacket and wrapped the bandana around, tying it off as best I could with one hand for now. I grimaced through the entire process of putting it on. My eyes wandered around. Searching for the woman to see where she might be, as well as simply keeping my situational awareness.
