Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Arcana November 11th 2014, 6:14 pm

Within a realm of eternal death and darkness, there was now a single spark, one that rose above all else within this abyss. It was the one that embodied this very darkness, and this one was cautious of the light that rose within its depths. Still, he would sit upon a throne of obsidian, waiting until this bastion of life came to him, rather than stooping so low as it come for it. Many like him, adorned with pulsing runic markings would stand about Hyperion, postulating what this was and why it was coming into their realm of all places, yet he had an idea and the idea alone was nauseating to say the least. All would look upon the one sitting on their throne as if they had all of the answers, but in the end he had few, yet did not expect them to be aware of such a fact, so he would play the all knowing for a little while longer. Across his senses, this brilliant energy would flash, followed by the sound of something exploding within the distance, he could smell the radiant ether. A foil to the darkness that he wielded, something so pure that its very presence seemed to have an effect upon The Abyss, something that many of the death beings recoiled from.

”I wonder what he's doing here now.” Hyperion muttered annoyed, one palm serving as the rest for his chin as he would wait, very patiently for the male to finally burst through his throne door with a might show of strength. Sheiara stood beside him, fingers dancing along the handles of her blades and waiting almost patiently for what seemed like a storm. It seemed his senechal was just as anxious as the others, but he had a feeling she would not make any foolish mistakes that the others would likely make, though he could not put that past her either. In the end, he had a feeling he was just surrounded by inexperienced fools, even if he was for the most part a child by even human standards, yet here he was now the Abyssal One, no The Abyss itself and he could feel the effect of the ethereal upon him. His very presence was as if life itself, each step within the rotten realm bringing life to it, and with it perhaps something that an abyssal one considered weakness. ”The bastard might be the death of me yet.” he muttered with a roll of his eyes, Sheiara turning to him curiously.

”I assume you know who's coming.” She would state rather plainly.

”I do.” Hyperion responded rather annoyed, and within an instant, the very doors of his throne room would be thrown forward with a great blast of bright energy. Metallic doors would fall to the ground with a loud grating sound, sliding along as his silver orbs fell upon the one that threw them down with so little difficulty, though there was not much to see. A young looking male with shaggy looked dark brown hair, dressed in a leather jacket, jeans and what one would call a placid expression. ”For the good half, you look quite the opposite.” Hyperion noted with a smirk, leaning forward ever so slightly, resting an elbow on his knees while still considering the male that had invaded his domain. Sparks of brilliant blue energy, wreathed with celestial green would radiate from his body, a pure ethereal that made that average stuff look almost paltry.

”Only the best for myself.” Jordan muttered, blue eyes dancing over the guards arrayed around him with weapons trained to strike given the word, or given that he made one false move. All it took was a flex from the male, unleashing a pulse that sent lesser titans reeling, weapons shattering like glass as they were thrown to the ground, though the council seemed to have weathered the seeming attack only shaken, save for Sheiara and Hyperion who remained unphased.

”Does your pet dragon know you're here?”

”He's not my pet, and no he doesn't know i'm here. As far as he's concerned, i'm home, and that will likely remain that way.” Jordan started off snapping, before reigning himself in some.

”That aside, what brings you here to my domain dear Jordan? Did you come for the pleasure of my company, to become one with this marvelous little abyss or something else?”

”I wanted to talk about a shared problem of ours, though you seem to think you can distance yourself from it.”

”I have no idea what you mean.” Hyperion stated rather plainly, though Jordan could tell he was deflecting it.

”well there are multiple issues, but Shael isn't as important at the moment. I was thinking of someone who's around under 4 feet, shaggy hair and kinda...maybe wants you to be less cold towards them. ” Jordan noted, hands buried into his pockets, and eyes trained upon Hyperion with a drive that was rarely seen within them. One could say that he was totally different, but then again that meant they did not know Jordan. He was still filled with love, peace, rainbows kisses and unicorn stickers, but he also had a goal in mind; he would not let himself be dissuaded, that was what made him part of Michael.

”Lemme guess, if I ride in and sprinkle rainbow kisses and unicorn stickers on him, everything will magically heal. Forgiveness will rain down and we can be one big happy family? Really, you are one big fucking optimistic dope.” Hyperion spat, rolling his eyes, and reclining within his throne. This seemed to annoy Jordan to some extent, as his face contorted ever so slightly to show this, lips pulling up to form a Jordan scowl, which came out more as a weak frown.

”Really, our vessel may be mostly useless, but I can see what you're doing. If you keep on like you're doing, you're going to destroy us all. It all started because of what you said, now fix it.. All it takes is three words.” Jordan spat at him, a small amount of red coloring his cheeks as the very ground seemed to shake from what seemed like actual anger.

”And what? Will the good half miraculously be able to stop me like it did before? Even then you could do nothing, at best you shattered a few knuckles..”

”If I remember correctly, that was both of us.” His tone was cool, much like a knife slicing through the air, and each word managing to catch the mighty titan offguard. His mouth would open, but no words would come out, instead only an angry sound as the lips clamped shut.

”Eh fair enough, but I still fail to see your point.”

”At least I try. All you do is sit on your throne of misery, and brood like some sort of self proclaimed martyr. You lost nothing, and all you do is take. As far as i'm concerned, I just seem to be doing much better than you are.”

”So what Aether? Should I just go up to him and say these words, will that really just magically fix everything?” while his tone sounded mocking, Jordan could sense something deeper.

”No, but it would be a start. Just give it a try, not like you're going to lose anything if it goes a little wrong.” He was stretching the truth significantly, as there was much to lose.

”What if I refuse?” He would ponder, though within an instant Jordan was gone, perched upon his throne with feet on each arm rest of the throne, and one palm pressed over his heart.

”I terminate you as a construct.” His glare was true, and for a moment Hyperion believed him. He gulped some, and as their eyes met, Jordan could see that he feared him. ”Do we have a deal?”

”I feel like you're forcing me.”

”I would do something, but my word seems not to matter as much. If you truly want to right what the wrongs, then come with me.” Hyperion would glare at Jordan, chewing on his lower lip slowly while thinking this over, and with a sigh he nodded.

”What the hell, I mind as well try.” Hyperion shrugged, and within an instant the short ethereal was standing before his throne, rather than pinning him down almost. Pressing out a few wrinkles within his shirt, Hyperion looked down upon his other half. ”I have a feeling i'm going to regret this.”

”Trust me, you won't.” with a sigh, Hyperion would rise from his throne, a strange warmness flowing through him. Shaking his head, he would rip open a portal within the air, and within moments they would both step through, reentering the world of mortals.

They stepped through on a beach, waves washing up against the shore and the moon resting solemnly in the sky, beginning to wane. Hyperion had changed into something that more befitted Michael, what he wore before becoming the titan king and splitting from the main vessel. Both would step down onto the moist sands, crunching underneath their feet as Hyperion looked around the area with an almost nostalgic fervor, sighing deeply as if something about it got to him. ”Not much has seemed to change.” he muttered, hand buried into his pockets as he looked to the heavens, clouds gathering over them in the night. Dark clouds that were pregnant with rain, as if one small thing would cause them to drizzle down upon them. With a flick o his wrist, Hyperion produced a cigarette, lighting it with a pale flame that danced upwards from his index finger and taking a deep drag.

”Can I have one?” Jordan would ask in an almost meek manner, reminding Hyperion that he was still the good kid, despite a display of power moments ago. Perhaps it was this love he was getting, or something else, but it seemed that Jordan had become more dangerous than he initially thought. However, if that was the case, then why the third of them had not gained any power from the love that dumb dragon showed him was unknown, but perhaps it was because both of them took all of that lovely energy for himself. Producing one for Jordan, he would light it and the little one would begin to work on smoking it along with him. In essence he was smoking a cigarette with himself, and it felt damn strange, yet relaxing. A low chuckle worked from Hyperion as he would let the cigarette now spent fall to the ground, hissing and sputtering against the sand.

”Alright, I have a child to look for. Though I doubt I can just walk up to our house, and knock on the door. That wonderful family of mine might try to kill me before they welcome me with open arms.”

”Subliminal messaging?” Jordan suggested with a shrug.

”I'm not sure how advertisements going to help him. I'm trying to say I love him, not get him to buy a goddamn Pepsi.” Hyperion snapped, Jordan rolling his eyes.

”I meant dream messaging, send him a little message in his dreams and the rest should work out.”

”Dream messages might work, or might not, I have no clue if he's even asleep, but i'll have to try I guess.”

”You don't have to try .”

Hyperion sighed, and rolled his eyes. ”Alright, want to, just don't go telling all my cool friends at the cool kids table.” This time it was more of a quip, not a good one but one nonetheless. Jordan laughed, and let his fall to the sand in the same manner.

”Just tell him where to meet you, and he should come. If not, then I can think of a way to set this up.” His good half seemed now more on the good side of things, which made Hyperion feel as if the natural order of things had been restored.

”One subliminal message coming right up.” Within a moment Jordan was gone, but he was already working on something himself.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Silus November 12th 2014, 10:52 pm

Dreams weren't something he had. Being soulless tended to end one's dream sequence. Though he found himself plagued by nightmares. These nightmares were of either past, or present situations. Oh how many times he'd heard the words about death being too good for him echo. At least a hundred. Perhaps a thousand. But to Silus those words only solidified him in his conviction. He didn't want his soul back, not now or ever. You see, things without a soul became so much clearer. There were no more emotions, no more fear or anger. There was the facts. Hell, he could recall that Yancey, Castiel, was his best friend. But that title means nothing to him now. Castiel is useful. Silus would sell him into slavery if he needed the money, and you know what? He wouldn't think twice about it.

Tonight's nightmare was the same nightmare he lived in his youth. All over again, Mike with that same smile and scoff. The only difference was Silus whom was in his older appearance. Hair parted to the side with his glasses on as he cocked his head to the side in wonder. Michael smiled. He enjoyed being powerful, he enjoyed not being walked on by anyone. He took comfort in the fact there was another just as miserable, if not moreso than he was. Silus had to wonder if he meant as he said, or if he simply lashed out. Though it was likely the latter, he knew for fact that one did not do such things to ones they loved. But his own view had changed on this subject... since losing his soul that is. Silus now wondered why he continued to love such a thing. It was folly to love it, it would only bring him harm. SO why did he continue, why did he persist? It made no sense. It was so much clearer now. he shouldn't have mourned over the Dog's demise. The dog was a willing tool and served it's purpose. The truest way to honor his death would have been to wait until his brother Shael beat his face in, then supercharge the Imperium and stop the regeneration and take the killing blow for himself.

"So you draw me from my sleep to show me a beach?" Silus asked before rolling his eyes. Enemies trying to sneak into his head was primitive, rudimentary and this source was all too easily identified. "I thought tonight was going to change everything... though I've been reliving that moment over and over since I can remember... I keep hoping that maybe this time it will change, but it never does." Silus said, seemingly as cool and collected as ever, if not uncannily disinterested.

"I'm surprise a certain Angel hasn't killed you yet. Granted I doubt you've been here long. Fine...I'll play your little game. The beach it is." Silus resolved, getting the image. He forced Hyperion from his mind with relative ease before returning to the dream at hand. All he could do was remember what he recalled before the fighting broke out. How brave Silus wanted to be.

When you wish for bravery...do not expect some magical fairy to appear and sprinkle pixie dust on you to suddenly make you brave. Do not expect God or anything of the Cosmos to reach down a divine hand to light it form inside you. When you wish to be brave...you truly WISH for an opportunity. Only you can be brave, you need to step up even when you are terrified. Believe it or not...between you and me. There are a lot of things I'm terrified of. But I'm more terrified of what it could do to you if I don't stop them. I get terrified...but it's because I'm terrified that I fight them... I guess that's what Bravery is though... Taking a stand. was his father's story. Silus resolved he was going to be brave and by being brave he would save his family, just like his daddy did. A foolish endeavor.

"Silus...get away... he's already proven he'd be more than willing to cut you down..." The advice of Abra. He should have listened to the dog. Should have feigned leaving and stuck a knife at the base of his skull when he wasn't looking. Much more practical, alas this was retrospect, and a more soulless and factual appearance.

”Silus...you really are a fool.” Michael sighed before a dark smirk formed upon his face. Eight tendrils sprouted from his back. He knew it by heart. He watched and watched and watched...but in the end, even as soulless as he was his eyes closed before seeing Abra's maimed body thrown to shreds.

"hey-hey-hey...no...you're not losing...we're just playing hide and seek...and I'm hiding...far away." The wolf began. Silus just sighed as his whimpering, weak and broken self cried over his best friend. The older spectator walked over and just as the dog went to speak again he pulled out his painted gauntlet and a sword of paint formed, piercing the wolven throat and silencing the beast once and for all.

"He's right... love is weakness." He said before the entire dream faded and his eyes opened in his bedroom. Quickly he recalled a particular runic marking of use...something about binding Titans. He could hybrid runic markings to bind one such as Hyperion easily. Though if only for his own protection, or if for common sense. It wouldn't take long as Silus began out to the beach. He'd arrive at 3:14 am, looking and waiting for Hyperion.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Arcana November 12th 2014, 11:28 pm

”I must be losing my touch.” Hyperion muttered with a chuckle, the feel of cold water washing over his feet drawing a small shiver from the male. A reminder how much he hated the cold, despite the fact that it seemed his entire race was associated with the cold; something about the cold embrace of death or something like that. All it took was a thought, and before him a collection of wood would amass itself, forming a small pile and from there he would light it with a fireball of the same gray flames. Within an instant, warmth would splash outwards in a wave from the crackling flames, devouring the wood itself. The phantom of a smile danced across his lips as Hyperion would kneel next to the flames, holding both hands out to bask in the heat and perhaps just to chase away the cold. For a titan, he much preferred the heat, a sign of life rather than the cold. His mind would, against his will force him to remember killing Thanatos, how all it took was a single stab to end a being that was perhaps the most powerful he had known of. Now nothing more than a fragment that was his own power.

Patricide it was, though the part of him that would have hated his actions was not there, but something had changed. What had changed he could not comprehend, but the moment that Jordan stepped into The Abyss, he could feel that change spreading across him almost like a disease. A warmth that almost burned, spreading out from the center of his chest to his extremities, drawing a small annoyed grunt from the male as his focus returned upon the flames. He had gotten the message across to Silus, so all he would have to do is wait, and hope that he would truly come. Hope perhaps that his mind did not begin to wallow within the past as it so often did, could haves and should have nagging at him until he could take no more of it. Being trapped within ones own regrets could perhaps be the closest thing he could equate to a hell, the fire and brimstone that human seemed so willing to damn one another to without regard. ”I wonder what his plan really was.” Hyperion muttered as one of the burning bits of wood would snap in half, causing the entirety of the bonfire to shift.

Still, one instant would stick within his mind more than anything else. Words spoke that Jordan did not even need to remind him of, and perhaps the worst things he had ever uttered, though it seemed to hinge upon who he said it to.  If karma truly did exist, then perhaps anything negative that had happened to him after that was just justice, if that fallacy also existed. There was no justice, only life, suffering and then death. Hell, he embodied that concept more than anything, and yet he found himself wondering if there was more than just that. Hyperion sighed and produced another cigarette, considering it rather direly, before letting one of the stray licks of flame ignite it. Another rush of nicotine through him, drawing a buzz that for a moment made him feel not so shitty. ”I wonder how long i'll be waiting.” He absently muttered to himself, before he felt something within that small area about him created. A presence that was by no means intimidating, not something powerful but familiar nonetheless. A caustic mist of smoke would rush out through his nose, before Hyperion rose to his feet.

”Not too long I guess.” Rising to his feet, he would let the small white cancer stick trail to the corner of his mouth, end still burning an angry red. The one that would meet him was the one he was waiting for, that small smile still playing its part. ”I'm a little surprised you actually came. I wasn't expecting you to take up my...dreamy invitation.” Only a touch of wry humor danced through his tone as he stood a respectable distance from Silus, wreathed in firelight. ”Regardless, it's a little cold out here. Care to join me by the fire?” Not as if he would by any means force Silus to join him, but then again the male did take time out of his night to come, so perhaps he would take it. His mind was running over exactly why he would take that invitation, despite what many thought he had planned for the little guy. A stray oceanic breeze would blow past his face, counteracted almost by the warmth offered by the fire. With a snap a few chair would appear, nothing extravagant, but they served their purposes. ”If you feel so inclined, take a seat, i'm sure you're curious as for why I brought you out here.”

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Silus November 13th 2014, 7:42 pm

Silus was not a fool. Lucifer would not be jumped, nor caught alive or dead with someone like Hyperion getting the drop on him. It caused even one with no soul worry, so that in it's own right was quite the surprise. It spoke volumes of the types of people this family had come to make enemies with. Though Silus was not alone. He too had allies. It should come as no surprise that one such as Silus, soulless and powerless, would confront an almighty dimensional embodiment without leverage of some kind, or allies. In this case, both. Quickly punching a few numbers into his phone he made the call. He silently slung his legs over his bed and rubbed his eyes with a gentle sigh, being oh so cautious to not awaken his faithful companion.

He could easily navigate the house on his own, but not before he first went to his father's room. Sean would likely be fast asleep, and knowing him it would take the zombie apocalypse to wake his ass up. Silus quickly and quietly retrieves his father's golden necklace with the cross on the bottom of it. He then went to the fire place and ignited the fire, hoping that soon the fires would kindle. As they burned, Lucifer made his way through the kitchen, retrieving lavender, rosemary, and basil. He opened the seasonings and tossed them into the fire, pulling out a knife and drawing a small circle on the fireplace, no bigger than a quarter around. He then disappeared back to Jordan's room to fetch his secret stash. His brother was stupid and delightful, though he was also a good sport about letting Silus store things for safe-guard.

Jordan was always alert, as soon as Silus began to stumble over the mounds of gold, Jordan awoke and rubbed his eyes. "Iz over there." he yawned as he pointed to the pile of gold behind Silus. The Soulless male turned and pulled out his Alchemy trunk from the pile and quickly laid claim to two of his most valuable herbs/flowers. He quickly returned to the fire.

"lumen de lumine, lumen vitae. In ius voco te audierit vocem meam: Archon" Silus said as he threw in the first plant. It was Queen Anne's lace... less commonly known as "Devil's Plague". "Et ligabunt te in sempiternum, ut voluntatem meam." He concluded before tossing the last element in, Amaranth. The fire did not change. Nothing change, but Lucifer knew he had done it right. He turned around and smiled as he saw a woman dressed in white, and his "daddy" standing next to her.
**********************************************************

"I must confess I am curious." Silus said as he approached. He was not alone, but it would not be what one believed. He had mada a couple particular calls of people who would be able to help him. But not until he gave the signal. Hyperion was the same as he always was. The glow of the runic markings faintly radiating to Silus' eyes, knowing the power they held beneath the skin. Silus stood a good three yards away before looking to the chair that was manifested. Did Hyperion truly believe him to be that foolish? To sit upon one of HIS constructs and open himself for all forms of unpleasant endings?

"But I'd also like to know if you're here with the intentions of doing harm more than anything else. It's not as if you can do much more harm to me, but I see no reason for you to call me other wise." Silus said as he stepped forward. The waves crashed against the sand in a chaotic, yet somehow rhythmic pattern to them. The moon refracted form the waters, causing them to glisten with an eerie sense of light which harnessed and sent forth a pale illumination upon the shores. Silus was known for his fair complexion, but now he just seemed dead in both how he spoke and from the lighting. Hyperion would likely be able to notice, but fooling Hyperion was not Lucifer's mission. Discerning the threat that sat by the fire was his mission. One he would see through.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Arcana November 13th 2014, 8:23 pm

Curiosity was present, which meant that he was not completely wrong in assuming. Part of him wondered if Silus was alone, as no one would truly come alone, or without prior preparation anyway. After all, trust was not expected, any less than the utmost suspicion would have felt off to the male, but then again he was dealing with Silus after all. Glowing along with the firelight were the pale purple runic markings running along his exposed flesh, pulsing with invisible life with each second. Identifying elements of his titanic heritage, but something about them were different than the usual, their color but one could brush that off as nothing really. Silus spoke, and his words made clear enough his opinions of Hyperion, how he thought he intended to do him harm. Wording revealed a lot if one looked into it, and with Silus, as well as Zell that was more than true.

A low hum would slip through his lips, barely above the crackle of the fire. Hyperion sighed as the fire seemed to pick up ever so slightly, releasing its warmth in a greater radius than before. ”My intentions here are surprisingly enough, not to harm.”he had been paying attention to how the male spoke, listless almost, making the abyssal incarnate seem more alive than him. Strange how a being that embodied death was now more alive than one that did not, one he considered almost synonymous with life itself in a sense. Of course he only had to think. Everything he touched would corrode, and eventually die, nothing was exempt it seemed. It was with that thought that the small smile died, decaying into a thin line.

The end to potential misery was now in sight, just one move, and one he was not willing or capable of taking. ”Words have power. Saying the right ones can bring about great things, and the wrong can topple nations. Sometimes they are even the only difference between life and death.” Hyperion sighed, removing the cigarette from his mouth and rolling it between index, and thumb. Tobacco and paper seemed to crush so easily between these strong digits, fragile as everything else within this thing called life. Sad almost how easily one could destroy, yet how hard it was to build. Not quite considering himself in any danger, Hyperion turned his back to him for a moment, flicking the small cigarette into the flames to be consumed. With that done, he plopped down into one of the chairs he had formed, sighing deeply before returning his attention to Silus.

The silver sphere were like an abyss within themselves, looking into them as if looking into another world entirely. ”But I suppose you're not here to hear something like that. Too much wasted effort and something like that.” He would take note of Silus not taking the offered seat, likely another precaution against potential danger, of what he might do to him. ”Very well, i'll try to not waste your time. After all, you'll find that I went through so much trouble for one simple matter, or simple as as certain portion of me continues to say.” He rapidly ran over how one would say something like that, mulling over it until the very idea hurt his brain. This mulling process lasted about two seconds before he sighed against, feeling the wind brush against him almost abrasively. It was however the time, to make or break the situation, yet Hyperion was more than ware he could do this.

His fingers would intertwine and he would look to Silus rather seriously. ”I love you.” It was strange, those two word and a letter leaving him without a single external prompt. Now he found himself wondering if this would only lead o Silus laughing in his face, or perhaps throwing his words back at him.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Silus November 16th 2014, 4:20 pm

Of course. There could never be a straight answer with Michael, why would he expect anything less from Hyperion? He so loved to talk, talk talk talk talk talk. Silus found himself wondering if that was simply Hyperion liking the sound of his own voice, or if it were something else. It was a question eh would pose too, before the night was through. But first he would analyze every word that was said, every shift in expression. The destruction of the cigarette and tossing it into the fire before turning his back. Of course, one with such a superiority complex was  bound to find himself in no danger in the presence of a human. Silus removed his glasses and in an instant everything happened. This entire conflict was decided. Silus hooked his glasses onto his shirt and watched as Hyperion turned around to sit. The long sigh made Silus uneasy, but if not simply because he was unsure how to perceive such a sigh. Surely the great Hyperion wouldn't give a damn if he chose not to sit down. The facts were there, and there was no disputing it. Hyperion bode nothing but destruction everywhere he had gone. As himself, or as Michael.

He spoke of Silus not coming here to hear what he had said, though it was intriguing for him to contemplate this. No I came here for this actually. I'm finding out why you are here. He kept his thoughts to himself though, his mind too complex for any telepathy to penetrate or "radio" in on. His blank expression was matched probably only by the lack of glow in Silus' eyes. The only other time that had happened was when Silus became a soulless creature known as a "Blackened" yet... he was not one of these creatures any more. Silus actually scoffed, but wore an amused smirk at how Hyperion seemed to overlook that little detail. The plainness of his expression, the seemingly uncaring nature as he stood here, the lack of glowing eyes. To Silus this was all so obvious it was almost painful to see Hyperion missing it. Though the abyssal incarnate seemed to be rather occupied in is mind at the moment, Silus could give it a little more time. Let Hyperion get out what he needed to, or rather intended to. It would be rude, after all to cut the creature off... though once it was said... he wished he had cut him off.

Silus was silent for a good while after hearing those three simple words. Something was stirring inside him, something he wasn't familiar with...something... illogical. Was this anger? Why could he feel it, he had no soul so why would he be feeling this? The only logical conclusion is that his soul was tuned in at this moment, something about these three words triggered something in both his soul and his body to bring about the aspect of rage. He brought his hand up over his mouth and chuckled a little, a rather uncaring look upon his face as he tried to discern why he felt what he felt... and how to stop it. Of course, Hyperion wouldn't stay put for ever, he of course didn't know everything Silus knew, like Gad's having a barrier around the area. Silus reached into his pocket and pulled out two little pieces of paper. Each one marked with a runic marking. He balled them up and tossed them to the fire, which altered colors to a powerful purple and an emerald green before dying down to their natural colors.

"Can't have you running off... Teleporting away can be too convenient in times of judgement." Silus said matter of fact before he cleared his throat. "This is truly... THIS moment... is truly the CRUELEST thing you've ever done to me. Well, I'm not sure. The Philippines is the first, but this one takes a close second." He said, no emotion in his voice.

"You wait to tell me those three words when I'm unable to enjoy them. You wait to tell me you love me until I can no longer feel love? You wait to tell me this until  AFTER I've lost my soul? Lost my soul in the aftermath of your actions no less." Silus said, no emotion in his voice. It was eerie, and almost terrifying how calm and matter of fact he was, when one who truly knew Silus knew he would be a mess right about now. "No...you don't love me. I'm still trying to figure it out though. I'm stumped, perhaps you could shed some light on the situation." Silus said, licking his lips before walking in a circular manner, as if he were rounding around Hyperion's chair, no emotion, just factual perception... and that made him more lion-like than anger or rage could have ever done.

"I'm still not sure of why you continue to run that hole in your face. I'm stuck between two theories. The first being you just love the sound of your own voice and the self-gratification it brings you... OR... you really are just a sad, miserable and lonely little construct." He said with a slight, almost amused, elevation in his voice at the end there. "I'd go with the latter theory. Personally." He said with a smile as he had circled Hyperion and was now smiling at him, as he began to make a second trip around. The fire was warm, but Silus was still nothing but cold. These three words had brought about a reckoning that would not be forgotten any time soon. This was something Silus would be sure of. "You're miserable. You're sad. I can understand that. More than anyone really. I spend my entire life that way. If you're looking for advice, it's not love. You see, love is what I had for you. Love is when you deny your father and your brothers who ALL want to kill the one brother you refuse to give up on. Shael, the one you idolized so much wanted you dead. D-E-A-D dead. I refused to let you die. I loved you enough to believe in you, to give you another chance. Of course then we know what happened after that. But I still forgave you. Because I knew how you felt. But I could never understand... You believed I killed Shael. It wasn't me we know now, but we thought it was... but yet I was the one who resurrected him. You, you just became broody and decided that because I took away the man you loved, you'd take away the one person who loved me." Silus said with a smile, it was almost like he were enjoying this a little too much for a soulless person. Though it was too apparent that his soul was gone. This wasn't Silus. It was another person entirely.

"But of course...I brought Shael back for you. What did you do for me? You just did what you always did. You brooded. You got mopey because the person you loved didn't love you back. Not a thank you...not even a smile or a nod in my direction. Which is fine, I didn't want your attention or anything like that. It's not like I virtually worshiped the ground you walked on." He said, sarcasm quite apparent as he sighed. He finally was feeling rather secured about the situation as he concluded his third rotation around Hyperion. So, with this new found security he sat down, the sea-water smell filling the area in conjunction with the thin layers of smoke that blew in every which way. "All I get is that Death is too good for me. Though...I suppose it's not what you said that hurts...so much that it was true. I'm sure you've noticed that I'm not exactly myself. That's because several attempts at suicide later I'm not really alive...but I'm not dead either. This isn't some metapohrical statement either. Death wouldn't take me...I'm now a soulless husk. That's punishment too. Remember Kaisses? He blamed me for Abra's death, tried to rip my throat out. When Yancey went to protect me he was thrown into a rift and lost in the void, bound to end up in some other realm somewhere. Then Kaisses slowly, mutilated Hocus in front of my eyes. Made me watch as he slowly removed the flesh from the wolf. Then ripped off his lower jaw. I can remember that the only thing Hocus needed to do to be healed and to live was to say the truth. Abra's death was my fault. If I had been stronger, Abra would be here. But...Hocus wouldn't do it. So, Kaisses murdered him. Real brutality on that part too. I was reminded that it was all...my fault. I was reminded for the second time that Death was too good for me. I didn't deserve to die, I deserved to live in this world without the only things that ever loved me. I was alone. Then: I lost my soul in order to bring Yancey back. Of course, I can't count on my brother to help me. The brother I took care of while he was in a wheel chair, the Brother I was impaled taking the hit for. The brother, whose nemesis I helped destroy. The brother who wouldn't even own up to me. I know about that, It's quite interesting everything I learned about my time people thought I was dead... you uh...you have two older half-brothers. I guess what hurt worst of all was...even with my soul...that one didn't even hurt anymore." Silus said. His little rant was seeming to wind down, and that was because it was. In truth, Silus was certain that Michael didn't even know his own sins against him. His brother plain and simply didn't care until now. He never cared before, so when he suddenly cares now Silus wasn't about to open up and let him in. But Silus felt it echoing from his soul, somewhere in the veil.

"So... in conclusion to you're little comment." He said with a smile as he leaned forward, elbows digging into his knees as he smiled and whispered. "Bullshit." He whispered, just enough to carry to Hyperion's ears. He even chuckled after it, then clearing his throat as he leaned back and stretched himself a little.

"Things are so much clearer without a soul man. I can tell truth from lies with the snap of a finger. I can see evidence and not have anyone play on my emotions to tug at my heartstrings." He said still a little smile, but no apparent emotion in his voice or tone. "Like the one time before. "In case anything happens..I love you"... admit it. The only reason you said it to begin with was to get me to shut up and go away. You told me what I wanted to hear so you're annoying little brother would leave. Hell, look at it, it's so painfully obvious. You needed a prompt to tell me you loved me, and then you still didn't mean it. The only thing you DIDN'T need a prompt for was condemning me in the Philippines. Out of all of this you think I can't see the writing on the wall? You don't love me...because you're incapable of love... you're just another monster. Just another freak. Not exactly a bad thing... I'm a freak now too. Apparently I...idolized you a little too much it seems. I WASTED so much time in my life trying to get you to love me. I brought Shael back, I tried to kill Raziel, I took a blow for you, I took care of you...All this time all I had to do was lose my soul. I only wish I had known sooner. Don't be mistaken... I don't hate you. I can't, I have no soul. But I can still feel my soul seeping in a little. Somewhere, lost in the veil where no one can touch. It's hurt. Crying, tormented constantly. It just wants it all to end but it knows...that would be too good for him. What sickens me most though, is how it still loves you. It loves you enough to ask me tell you that he forgives you." he concluded before falling silent, looking up into the sky. The void known as "space" with flakes and dotted stars against it like a painting he once made. There was nothing in a painting that quite caught the beauty of the reality of things. The gravity of things. A painting, could never twinkle like that, a painting would never feel this cold, a painting would never cause this much pain, or hold such a gravity to it. The fire danced, whipping around and shedding light. There was no better poetry for it. In a moment of two dark creatures there was one fire casting enough light for them to see. Silus eyes held illumination in them, but it was nothing more than the reflection of the fire.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Arcana November 16th 2014, 8:57 pm

Hyperion had a feeling something was coming the moment he said those words, steeling himself for anything that would be said or done. Maybe his sibling would reveal some complex way to kill him, being sure to do so slow enough to make him suffer for all wrongs, perceived and actually done. Something told him he would get something, a proverbial storm of shit, but that was not quite the case. Silver orbs tinged with a dark purple would follow every movement of the male, preparing almost for anything that they would do, not that he had a feeling it would do him much good. He had perhaps given the male too much time to prepare without taking any precautions of his own. A foresight perhaps far too dim for someone like him, but then again emotion was blinding him from the beginning of this venture, and that would perhaps be his downfall. If he died, that damned Jordan would be winning, another step to completion and if this went fine, he would likely draw pleasure from that anyway. The fucker won anyway, and that internally pissed Hyperion more than anything. It seemed he was likely being played by the good half, which did not seemed in place with everything done before.

Still, Hyperion reclined within his seat and waited for the inevitable, though what came he was not quite expecting. Two pieces of paper thrown into the fire, and it only taking a moment for him to realize what had been done, he was being bound. So, was he planning on killing him? No, if he needed to he could still stop that much, but then again something told him all efforts of self preservation would be in vain, he had doomed himself it seemed. Flames would return to their nature color, casting its same light across his facial features as he continued to watch the male, almost expecting the end now. This was reinforced by the term judgment, he was planning to judge him it seemed. Fingers intertwined, the male sighing softly as if expecting this almost, the inevitable end, but then again this was something new. A revelation however seemed to hit him. The bastard didn't fucking have a soul, and here he was blissfully unaware of the goddamn thing.

So it seemed that so called good half of his set him up, told him to do the right thing and then sent him out to do so when it would do no fucking good. While not apparent, he was angry, not with the ethereal before him but the aforementioned good one. His lips pressed into a hard line, annoyed almost by the fact that he had once again found any attempt in doing good met with some manner of massive set back, as if that was  bad enough here Silus was blaming him for every single unfortunate thing in his life. It was like “Oh Hyperion,l how dare you not be omniscient and know everything bad that is happening, oh boo hoo, woe is me. If he had known the damn dog did what he did, the thing would not be alive, it would have suffered a death twice as painful as the one given out to that other dog, and perhaps been revived to repeat the process. Of course here was Silus also doing that one thing that annoyed him, did it once before actually. Surmising how Michael felt, telling him what he felt and all of that lovely nonsense. Who knew it was so easy to just say that someone didn't love this, or someone didn't love that, god this was so annoying.

Not that he could blame him for feeling that way, but the fact still angered him, not visually of course but it angered him nontheless. He would wait until Silus was finished talking, or his body seemed to wait until then anyway. A low chuckle slipped through his lips, it seemed he couldn't control it as more and more would escape in a slow procession, wracking his body with spasms as he threw his head back and laughed, as the sound echoed out. This went on for a few moments, before he reigned in and could actually speak. ”Wow, so this is what was bottling up all this time. Well, you don't really get to be angry at me. I'm beginning to think i'm the cursed one in this scenario. Like seriously, look at my timing lately, its fucking aweful. How was I supposed to know you were soulless? Not like your souls gonna send me a post card from the veil or anything.  If I had known, wouldn't have wasted my breath doing so, because now not only have I admitted it once, but I gotta do it again. ” Hyperion sighed, growling while crossing his arms and looking to the husk. ”Only one thing to do, pack your fucking bags. We're finding that soul and getting this thing over with.”

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Silus November 22nd 2014, 6:30 am

The response he received caused him to smile, and chuckle even as he removed his glasses and messaged the bridge of his nose with his index finger and thumb, the glasses secured by his middle finger wrapped around the part that rested upon the nose. He simply had to chuckle at the last part, he truly did he had no option in it really. Pack his bags because they were going to get his soul? That was pathetic. It's not like Hyperion would even know where to begin. He may be the Abyss, but there are secrets that even he didn't know, secrets their father didn't know. But he found himself genuinely wondering why Hyperion suggested this. For all he knew, and for all the smarter he had become...he was still ignorant when it came to his brother. He was still unable to discern the motives and the intent of his actions. Of course he could speculate and use prior experience, but if one is to forgive and forget they cannot simply go upon their own speculations.

"I don't have a soul, thus I cannot get angry, so yes I don't get to be angry is accurate. Peeved or inconvenienced perhaps, but not angry." He said openly taunting Hyperion before lazily flourishing his wrist. A white liquid with a familiar ethereal glow seemed to spiral out. The liquid then crystallized and then shimmered in light before solidifying into Imperium. "Second of all you're assuming I want my soul back. That's not the case." the husk said before placing the glasses back on his nose, pushing them up and letting out a rather satisfied sigh. He then looked around as if looking for someone. With a flick of the wrist, Imperium let out a resonating hum and a familiar looking woman dressed in all white appeared, seemingly from nowhere.

"My, my. Haven't you been busy?" The woman's voice mused as she looked over Hyperion a moment and then back to Silus. "Well hello Michael. Michael or Hyperion? Which do you prefer?" She asked, though she had absolutely nothing to do with this she was well informed by Silus that Hyperion was quite predictable. He would no doubt have something to say to her, though it would be a waste of breath. "Regardless, Lucifer you should let your brother go. It's so...unlike you to bind your father as you have and then steal MY sword. Especially when it seems like someone is trying to help you." She added in. Silus felt a small tinge of guilt, for a moment his eyes had a glow to them again and sorrow and apologizing was all that could be seen. But just as swiftly as it had shown, the glow left. Sorrow replaced with stone, as the husk turned to Shara and cleared his throat.

"Well... from the incessant talking I can now understand why my father's subconscious opted to shove a sword through you." Silus stated, a tinge of irritation as he looked to Shara. "I can only assume that Sean is his self-punishment, there's no other way to describe how THIS happened."He concluded, motioning to Michael and then himself. He looked to Shara who was about to speak, and with a wave of the sword she disappeared in a cloud of shimmering dust. Presumably banished from the area. He looked back to Michael with a smile.

"Prying eyes are unwelcome. You see... Look, I'll be honest with you. I don't understand you. I can't quantify or rationalize what you're doing here. I'm not sure if this is an apology, or if it's hoping that your little brother forgives you so you can feel better about yourself. Or if it's an attempt to get close to me in order to destroy me or...if maybe you've really changed? Silus asked before shaking his head and waving it off.

"Regardless, Look, Michael. I appreciate what you're doing. I do. I can't feel it, but what I can feel is my soul oh so far away finally processing what you've said. My soul, your baby brother thanks you. But it's time to let him go. He's gone. Go back to your selfish and brooding ways... or I will destroy what you so desperately want to reunite this husk with." He said without the slightest change in his voice. It was an apparent warning though it was uncertain if it was simply a bluff, or if it were in fact legitimate. Though with the wave of Imperium the fire died and Hyperion was no longer bound. Though the husk couldn't see what was transpiring behind him as visages, formed behind him looking at Hyperion. "Your brother is gone Mike...I'm sorry." He said, almost as if he were truly sorry. As soon as he turned around his eyes widened as he took a step back, after having literally turned around right into Archon. He raised Imperium, the blade horizontal, the name Zell written out on the blade. Silus took solace that he was safe.

"Oh look. Conflict of control." A familiar voice said as a spectral hand solidified around the hilt of the blade. Silus looked back to Zell, but the last thing he saw was a fist to the face. Shara's hand being the last one upon the blade caused her to smile and look at the unconscious boy. "Wow...over emotional, and what a glass jaw. Zell, I think you raised a daughter." She snickered as she vanished into thin air. Archon looked to Hyperion and sighed.

"See...do the right thing and I'm there for you too. Took a minute though... little bastard bound me." He said with a sigh. "I don't know where his soul is, but I know that he specifically hid it from me. Your grandmother slash grandfather thing may be able to help you. But first...we need to make a promise. A Covenant." Zell said, rather serious before he glared down Hyperion.

"No more convoluted bullshit after this." He said, expecting an answer before he'd be called away, leaving Hyperion and an unconscious husk in his care.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Samael Christensen November 22nd 2014, 7:33 am

Taunting, that’s what this Silus seemed to so enjoy doing, looking down on him now that he seemed to have bound the ethereal. If he were not so in control of himself, he might have fantasized about shutting him up in a more manual fashion, hands clenching tightly, knuckles growing slightly pale from the pressure. Still, he could not do much beyond glare at the male, the crackling flame at the corner of his vision reminding him that his seemingly endless energy was worthless in this situation, a rather annoying inconvenience. The second part was not quite important, as Hyperion did not care of he wanted it back. Hell, once he had decided it, what people wanted did not quite add into the equation beyond a quaint notion. More of a frankly my dear I don’t give a damn moment, though that was not something that he said. All he did was sigh rather annoyed, considering so many things at once. What did draw his attention was one thing, a blade forming from a liquid that Silus had conjured. A weapon he had wielded once before, known as Imperium if he knew anything, and a weapon that he was not expecting here of all place.

Initially this was a peace talk gone wrong, but now it was possibly the damn twerp trying to truly murder him. Not that would allow it, considering that he had a weapon of his own in case the male decided to try killing him. However a sound rose from it, a resonating hum that reached his ears and within a few moments a woman in white would appear before them. Silver eyes would move to her, looking perhaps a little less luminous than usual. She would refer to him, though he had nothing to say to the woman and in this moment of annoyance, he did not feel like even giving her the time of day. In the end, all she seemed to have come here to do was talk, and then she was so easily dismissed, leaving the two alone once again. Not that he liked it mind you, as that meant the male would have the chance to do more of that goddamn annoying talking. The statement about prying eyes made little sense, as it would only lead to perhaps more ego masturbation. In the end however the threat was clear, either he left or this worthless husk would destroy his own sou.

The frown that formed on his lips seemed to only exaggerate, either perhaps due to what he was saying actually getting o him or sheer annoyance, though one could not so easily tell. The fire would die down, and with it the binding upon him, the power that was held at bay flooding through his body once again. Still, he didn’t make any moves, aside from standing there with arms crossed over his chest and almost glaring at the soulless husk. He was after tall not Silus, just a body walking about that looked like him, but it seemed emotion was enough to keep him from acting otherwise rationally. Either he had failed to do what Thanatos did before him, or maybe that was what they meant by him being the epitome of Titan evolution. What had made them without emotions upon becoming full, he did not have. Regardless of how that worked, he knew that he was affected by this in some manner, and it annoyed him more than anything. Whatever it was that that bastard Jordan had done, it was more than initially thought. However the plot seemed to thicken with the Archon of all people appearing and doing the unexpected.

A fist would collide with the husks face, knocking him with a resounding crack. Leaving them now with an unconscious male, a ghostly woman, an existential being, and well….him. ”A covenant? This will be interesting.” Hyperion said rather plainly, finding what little patience he had for this waning quickly. It had quickly become something not worth his time, but at the same time also worth his time, a paradox of sorts, but then again that was what made it fun. He had stated rather plainly about no more convoluted bullshit, but then again that was what this family was fuelled by. Convolution after convolution, and he did not quite even give half of that. That honor mostly belonged to the one forcing him into this covenant, as if anyone could just tell The Abyssal one of all people what to do. ”Alright, you have a deal.” Hyperion stated with a roll of his eyes, now left with only the unconscious male, sighing deeply as the fire that had been snuffed would reignite. ”We sure do like to cause a lot of trouble, don’t we?” Hyperion sighed, rolling his eyes, lifting the male off of the sand and placing them down on something less….sandy, with a warm blanket over him.

”That coulda went better.” Jordan would note, sitting on the seat meant for Silus, with a small drink that he was sipping from. He was dressed about he same as before, deep blue eyes glowing as he would turn to Hyperion.

”It felt like a Grade A fucking disaster.” Hyperion sighed, slumping back into his own seat, resting his chin upon his palm while looking the good half of him down. However one could not quite tell the difference, as both had a somewhat crestfallen appearance.

”I didn’t expect it to just work like that, but you did pretty well. It just takes a little time.”

”I’m beginning to doubt my best efforts would do much. After all, I am The Abyss. One could say I’m nothing more than a monster that destroys everything it touches.” Hyperion contemplated more than answered, looking down to the soft sands as he then looked back up to Jordan with a raised brow. Considering the ethereal who was perhaps being more empathetic than usual, well towards him anyway.

”Well as far as I know, though I might be wrong, but monsters don’t cry.” Jordan said with a small smirk, Hyperion glaring at him before running the back of his hand along his right cheek. ”Ya know, emotions aren’t weakness, they’re strength. It is this emotions that drive people to be better, and love is also like that. We aren’t alone as you think, there are people who love us, we just have to accept it.”

”Well look at you, spewing PBS grade crap.”

”Just give it a try.”

”Very well, but first….we have a sorcerer to find.” Hyperion sighed, glaring at the construct, then turning his attention to the husk.
--
It had not taken him too long to contact the sorcerer, being that he was still in this realm and he was after all The Abyss. Within the span of an hour, the blond sorcerer was standing before them, hands being held behind his back as he considered the two beings before him. He had not been expecting to meet with The Abyssal one of all people tonight, but then again it was what it was. ”You called me Hyperion, so I hope it’s good.” Elena would say rather simply, not sounding impatient in the least, though one could sense an undertone of annoyance if they cared to look for it. The fire was still raging, despite the fact that it was attempting to consume the wood, it was making no head way.

”Yes, I did.” Hyperion said with a nod, runic markings glowing a sickly silverfish purple color in the bonfire light. ”I was hoping someone of your experience could help me with a problem of mine.”

”The Abyss asking me for help? It must truly be something important for that.” He said with a small amount of curiosity and mockery. Something that annoyed the titan, but not enough to draw him into action, as he was sure he had something to deal with him too.

”Yes, it is important. You see, my brother seems to be short one soul. You are an expert, a master almost when it comes to matters of the soul. So I was hoping that you could help me retrieve it and return it to its proper vessel.” The sorcerer would listen to what the abyssal incarnate said, radiant blue eyes considering him, before the smirk formed upon his lips.

”I could help, but forgive me if I ask. What do you hope to gain from this? I had heard of you before, scattered information and this seems almost out of character.”

’Lets just say, we all do desperate things for love and leave it at that.”

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

Post by Silus December 2nd 2014, 12:44 pm

The husk would be out for quite some time, though it was nothing to be disheartened over. The lack of emotions tended to make Silus a bit of a "prick" when things were put in perspective. It also made him more likely to dialogue, but that point was set aside and attributed as part of being a total dick. Luckily for Silus' soul however, there was help on the way. Something about the transvestite realm-walking grandparent would assist Hyperion it would seem, and soon enough Castiel himself would be entering the scene, triggered there through sheer defensive instinct and the desire to probably stab Hyperion in the face if the chance presented itself.

"Hope it's not invitation only." Castiel said, not particularly caring if he were welcomed or not. He didn't think Elena Marie had a problem with him, but if she did she could suck it up and deal with it. He. She. It. Lady Gaga. Yancey didn't even know what was going on anymore. He basically grew up around all this crap, so he knew nothing was ever going to make any sense. He looked to Hyperion and then rolled his eyes, as if even seeing him were an exhausting task. "I'm not even gonna pretend to understand. I just know how to put his soul back. Finding it is up to you."

With a yawn Yancey would sit down, legs crossed and his body relaxed as he leaned forward with terrible posture and a tired look on his face. He simply sat there as he awaited Elena Marie or Michael a.k.a Hyperion a.k.a whatever he was to return with the soul so Yancey could finally finish his task of helping Silus return to the was he was... more or less.

Abyssal Blues [Silus] Empty Re: Abyssal Blues [Silus]

The realm walker considered the abyssal incarnate, expression now almost unreadable as he considered a response to what the male had said. Out of all the possibilities, this was the least likely, but then again that was just him assuming too many things. ”Fair enough.” The blond stated with an even tone, gripping onto the staff within hand and sighing. It was rare that he would even consider the request of such a…malevolent being, but then again it seemed familial ties had their power even now. The question of how he would get this soul could come later, as he was sure that it would not be an impossible task, at least for someone of his skill. All he needed to do now was track down this soul, and then from there he could retrieve it, which should have been a simple enough task, but then again nothing was ever that simple. Granted, if they were he would likely be having less trouble trying to fix every little problem that was being thrown at his feet.

His attention however was drawn to a sort of third party, or rather Castiel appearing on the scene, though Hyperion of all people was not surprised by his appearance. The male tended to be wherever Silus was, like a shadow almost, though now perhaps was not the most convenient of times for him to be. Still, if he wished to be here, Hyperion would do nothing to stop him from doing that, so long as he did not find himself being the target of any hostilities, as due or undue as they might have been. ”So, what is your plan for this?” Hyperion would ask of the sorcerer, keeping his eyes concentrated upon the male. He would pause for a moment as if in thought before deigning to answer him, which managed to draw a small amount of annoyance from the male, as he leaned forward and rested one elbow on his knee.

”That is up to me, you just sit here and wait.” The sorcerer supreme would state rather simply, and with a motion the staff would disappear, seeming to have been thinking over something before nodding. With a motion of his hand, a tear within reality itself appeared, and he would step into it, leaving Hyperion alone with the rather irate seeming angel. Granted, he had an idea that the male had a reason for disliking him, but then again he did not really care to mend anything between him and angel boys. There was only one real reason he was here, and he would mend that which was broken, from there no one really knew what he would do, not even Hyperion himself. Flames would leap and lurch, casting their shadows within the night, and sending off warm light over the entirety of three people within its range.

Should he however say something to break the silence, or leave that silence there for a few more moments? The idea would run through a mind that was also factoring in multiple other things, perhaps even a realms worth of knowledge. ”Well, it looks like we play the waiting game again.” Hyperion muttered with a roll of his eyes and reclining further within his chair.
