Name: Clement Industries presents the Icarus Space Suit

Abilities:

The Icarus Suit is cutting edge technology. Firstly the outside is composed of a tough armour that resists radiation, cold and heat. Beneath it is a layer of gel that is meant to absorb concussive blows and keep the occupant inside it at a warm temperature. Beneath that is a thickly packed carbon-fibre and titanium weaved suit, which also has the electrical wires for the exoskeleton. Outside of Earth's Atmosphere, anyone wearing the suit is able to multiply their strength, speed and durability by tenfold. However due to a previous incident with the crew of the Apollo 18 mission, these systems do not exaggerate the Astronauts ability on Earth.

The suit also has an inbuilt automatic system to protect the wearer from ejection of a spacecraft from altitudes of up to 500KM. When the automated system detects accelerated falling, webbing extends from the back of the suit over the arms and legs of the wearer to slow their descent. Small fuel cells on the chest, hips and legs will eventually burn themselves out with tiny thrusters to slow falling. For emergency descents without fuel of the netting has been destroyed, a parachute will deploy from the back.

The screen is a fuller sized camera than the Atlas suit worn in the Apollo 18 mission. It can create 3D maps of the area around a person, as well as see in numerous other frequencies; Thermal, Night Vision and even Radio-waves and UV light are picked up by the screen, with the wearers able to choose what overlays what. The on board computer automatically links to computer networks, secure or insecure by simply being around them and picking up the signals. The on board computer is also voice activated.

Description:

The Icarus Space Suit was a necessity after the Atlas suit, used by the Russian Astronaut Constantine Ramislov was deemed too risky to use by Astronauts any more. Clement Industries scientists removed the drilling equipment and left the astronaut with a safe alternative that doesn't amplify human attributes on earth, and has minor offensive capabilities. These suits are to be used by the replacement Lunar Team, Apollo 19, who will be continuing the failed mission left over by the Apollo 18 team.
