Bloody Rain Empty Bloody Rain

Post by Jeisen September 30th 2014, 9:36 pm

Jeisen sat down on the edge of a roof top, next to a chimney stack as the rain poured down on the city. It was always cloudy in this city it seemed and now it decided to pour. First the food was crummy and now the weather was too. How strange that this of all places was the place that Jeisen decided to stick around a bit in. Normally a wanderer, something about london just called to Jeisen. He looked out over the city, across the roof tops, the rain sputtering off of his cloak. His armor was on, with the rain making a small pinking sound as it the alien metal. He spun an old coin from knuckle to knuckle like a poker player with a chip. Just waiting. Waiting for something to do, somewhere to be.

Nolan: "Sir? Metahuman alert. Multiple class B signatures coming for the location of the bank. Further more, police radio chat suggests things are about to get violent."

Jeisen just sat there for a second, taking in the information from his A.I. Class B? Above average metas, but not too serious. Multiple though... that could make things interesting. Jeisen stood up and put the coin away before taking off across the roof tops. He reached his top speed of a 150 miles per hour in just a few short steps. He let his momentum take him from building to building Within just a few minutes. Jeisen had circled around to the bank from the opposite side of river where the bank was. He stepped into the river as his suit tightened up. The boots switched on their hydropumps and propelled him underwater almost like running, abiet with more resistance.

As he came up from the river, Nolan gave jeisen the schematics of the bank with 3-d modeling of where the robbers most likely are. It was a two story building with offices on the top floor and the vault in the basement running underneath the ground. None of the meta robbers seemed to be the second level of the bank so that would be the best place to break in. Walking up slowly to the wall crouched, Jeisen put on foot on it. He slowly scaled upwards as his boots attached him to the wall. With a small tap of his gun hilt, Jeisen broke a window and dove in with a roll. Not the most elegent approach, but hey it worked.

He dusted himself off from his diving roll in and looked up, only to meet a questioning pair of eyes filled with fear. Jeisen wasn't exactly a friendly sight when he was in his suit. He brought up one armored finger to his face and made the shushing motion. The woman just nodded, stil fearful.

Nolan: "That poor woman, my scans show you almost gave her a heart attack. Be more careful"

Jeisen just rolled his eyes at his A.I.s comment. Why did he have to give Nolan a "witty" personality. He just drew his twin guns again and started creeping forward to the stairwell.

Carson had traveled to London a few days ago for one of his yearly conventions, so he figured he could stick around and fight some crime while he was at it. He'd rented a room in a hotel, and slept there, hoping no one would see the things that he hid.

As he got ready to head out, his backpack-mounted police radio went off. Things were getting heated at the bank. He needed to get there. Fast.

Carson put on his purple hoodie, slipped his backpack on, got his Bo Staff, Shurikens, and Knives, put them in his backpack, the Bo Staff in a strap of course, then shadow-travelled out of the door. He hopped on his ATV and sped away toward the bank. When he got there, he immediately hopped off and shadow-travelled through those doors as well.

A few more steps, a few more scans by Nolan and Jeisen was at the stair well. He could hear the sounds of people talking down below him, but couldn't make enough details to get any info. Did sound like they weren't very worried though. Being a group of meta human robbers, Jeisen could see why. These guys were no joke apperently. A desk at been thrown through the first floor ceiling and was now stuck in the second floors ceiling. Jeisen just shook his head quietly as he moved on over to the hole. He peaked over and spotted a group of hostages.

Not good.

It look as if six people had been tied up with rope together. Jeisen couldn't quite tell as the bodies were all pilled on each other. Shit, how was he suppose to get that many people out of here? Maybe they could just make a run for it instead, with Jeisen covering them. That would probably be for the best.

Jeisen drew a knife from his back holder packs and stuck it into a nearby wall. That would be a good retreating point if things got too tough for him. All he had to do now was wait for the best time to strike.

Carson crouched down onto the floor and motioned for everyone to be quiet once they saw him. He sneaked around a few people, careful not to make any noise.

Eventually he made it over to the hostages. He slowly untied their bindings, and when he when he was done, told them to keep their hands in place.

Carson approached one of the robbers from behind and kicked him in the knee, forcing him to kneel. He put an arm around his neck and whispered, "Struggle or call for anyone, and in a few seconds there'll be a fucking spike in your chest. Got it?" he asked. He didn't respond, so he remained choking him until he passed out.

He hesitantly made his way over to another one, and like the klutz he is, knocked over one of the poles that maintains the lines. "For fuck's sake..." he said, standing up and taking his Bo Staff off of the strap. "Alright, come on. Take your shot." he said.

"Now who the hell is that?"

Jeisen muttered to himself as Nolan began to run facial recognition software through the london databases. Nothing came up, but the local security cameras showed how the man got in. Or at least partially as the man simply stepped out of the shadows. Nolans scans from earlier confirmed the man had not been there but now he sure as hell was. And... he was untieing the hostages? That wasn't a good idea. Not the untieing the hostage part, the being very very exposed part.

Before Jeisen could do much though, the hero in progress mamanged to choke out a robber. Nice!

....

then trip and caused a racket. Well shit

Robber 1: Now just who the hell are you?

Three of the remaining six slowly made their way to the man but spread out in a semi circle around him and the hostages. One leveled a pistol at him, an other cocked at his side. The man speaking looked well dressed and confident, hands partially in his pockets. To his left stood a behemoth of a man. It was an obvious meta with a human of that size and muscle mass. He simply gave Carson the death stare of a lifetime.

Three others hung back quite a bit, watching the event take place as the began to unloading more and more money from the registars and the vault [the door having been ripped off]. All of them didnt look to worried about what they were seeing though. It was just one man...

[Robber 1 - leader level 7 ice powers 4 all other stats, robber 2 gun man with level 6 fs and 3 all other stats nd regular guns, robber 3- 6 dur and str, but 2 all other stats. Robber 4- 3 all stats, 6 speed. Robber 5- 4 all stats with teleportation, Robber 6 - 3 all stats 6 regeneration]

Jeisen paused not quite sure where to take this, but it would be a dozy of a fight now. Stealth option was blown right out of the window by this guy. Or maybe he was just a good distraction? Jeisen activated his stealth generator and took off down the steps. He crept right by the group and too the other side of them, flanking them. With a snap, he brought his guns out silently again. This should be about to get interesting.

Carson was in the middle of a semi circle, with the outside being made of 6 metahuman robbers. Inside with him? The hostages. How fun!

Robber 1: Now just who the hell are you?

"Listen, man. I'm usually a pretty passive guy. As you can see, I already choked one of ya boys out, and I'll sure as hell do it to you, too. Now, you have two choices. The first being to put the money back and haul ass out of here, and the second one being to allow me to unleash a can of whoop-ass on ya. What's it gonna be?"

The semi circle was made up of a few pretty sizable guys. Didn't look like they were gonna be moving. "Alright then. I see how it's gonna be." he said. Carson got into a sprinting stance and shadow-travelled behind the one who spoke to him, and clocked him in the back of the head with his Iron Bo Staff.

The main man blinked as the man seemed to step and a shadow and simply disappear. Only took a split second to relze what had just happened though as he heard the whistling of a object coming from behind him. Ice formed on his back almost instantly as the man ducked forward a bit, hands still in his pockets. The bo staff deflected off the back of his head as the man turned a direct blow into a cushioned glance with his duck. From the mans feet ice sprung out like a snap freeze moving to coat the ground around Carson in an attempt to freeze him in place. The elephant of the man though simply lashed out with a punch at Carson, puting his massive weight behind the blow.

The third man raised his gun first before either of the other men even reacted. His reflexes were sharp even if the other mens weren't. Before you could squeeze of a shot though, a lazer shot came seemingly out of nowhere. Jeisen dropped the invisibility to reveal himself, standing there with a smoking barrel. He pointed the other Reaver at the three men unloading the money.

"Sorry, am I interrupting?"

The man had thrown a punch at Carson, and his tentacles immediately flowed from his back, blocking the blow. He had frozen Carson in place, so he simply took his staff, and slammed it against the ice. "Free as a bird." he said.

Carson allowed two of his tentacles to wrap around the left arm of the icy one, and with all his might, attempted to fling him across the room. He took his knives and shurikens out of his backpack and put them in their sheathes and straps on his belt. He shadow-travelled toward the guy who came out of almost nowhere, and looked him up and down. "Sorry if I'm cutting in on the fun."

The shadows gripped the guy by his throat and threw him damn near across the room at a wall. Right before he would have crashed though another man seemed to appear out of no where, not just a high speed movement. He caught the leader and set him down as he landed on the floor. The two got up slowly though warily starin at the man with the shadows and the cloaked man. Seemed like heros were just sprin up out of now

Jeisen leveled one gun at the sharpshooter and his other at the two men that were unloadin the vault. He could reason that the sharpshooter would be damn near perfect with those guns off his it he still didn't have information on what the others could do.

"You've cause quite a big scene so I figured I'd save you along with the hostages"

Jeisen remarked to the man now standin next to him. Another teleported like him  that could work but they'd need to be fast. Jeisen noticed the new equipment but after seeing the mans technique when it came with his staff he wasn't exactly sure who would be hurt by those.

"Why don you hang back a bit and stick with the long range stuff? Hand to hand doesn't seem to be your forte."

Jeisen let his tactical mind take over now as he got ready for combat. Jeisen sprinted forward at his top speed at the closest two, the regen and speedstere. Drawing on knife as he collapsed his guns back into their wrist slots, Jeisen shoulder checked the regen. As he did he managed to cut him deep in the arm , plant ing the knife in the shoulder.

Jeisen flipped over the regeneration guy and lashed out with another knife swip at the speedster, but that guy was already gone. Instead the sharpshooter had lines up a shot. Three bullets rang off of Jeisen's suit but they did not manage to get through. Still they managed to stagger him a step and the speeder came flying bye with a good one two on Jeisen's face. They did little damage but the speeder took off before Jeisen could counter effectivly. Te second time however when the speedster came flying at him, Jeisen tripped him and planted a mark on him. The guys own force took him skidding across the room

It seemed that the group had slips ino three vs one sort of matches. The ice man of a leader slammed his hands in the groin Ashe sent a massive wave of spikes at Carson. While the mountain man simply reached his hands into the ground and ripped up a chuck of the stone work and threw them at Carson. The third man didn't seem to do much though as if he was waiting

Two things were happening at the same time. Spikes of ice were coming at Carson, and so was a large slab of stone. He formed a shadowy platform under his feet so that he wouldn't get hit, but he had forgotten about the stone work-- he raised a shadow to block it, but the force flung him across the room.

"Fucking OW, dude!" he yelled, standing up. He took out his shurikens and hurled one at the ice metahuman, and formed a Shadow Spike in his other hand, hurling it at the strong one. He formed a ball of shadow and lobbed it over to the regenerative one, attempting to encase him in it so that he couldn't move.

Carson saw that he was wounded. A minor gash on his back. He needed to heal. He ran over to one of the hostages. "You won't be needing this any time soon." he said, absorbing her shadow. "WHOO! ALRIGHT! Let's do this." he yelled.

Carson shadow-travelled over to the gunner, and used his tentacles to attempt to rip the gun out of his hand. "Come on... Don't make this harder than it has to be."

The Ice man slammed his hands on the ground to raise a wall of ice around both him and the super strength robber, effectively deflecting both attacks. The force of the attcks though did throw both of them off balance and they missed their chance to counter attack. The regenerative man got trapped by the bits and pieces of the shadows, rooting him to the spot. He didnt seem to care all that muich though as he just began to tear away at it.

The sharpshooter though

That was another story. The man reacted inhumanly fast as Carson teleported to him.

"That trick wont work twice on me"

The man remarked as he spun around, out of the way of the shadow teticales. AS he landed, he landed with his back to Carson. In the same spin his put his arm in his jacket so it looked like he was grabbing his stomach. What he was really doing however as pressing the gun to the back of his coat from the inside. Right as he landed, he opened fire at Carson from close range. The spion was just a distraction to cover the opening he wanted for the gun shot. And even firing behind him, the man was still deadly accurate.

Jeisen was havign a tough time with his own fighters. The teleporter had sprung out of the thin air to try and tackle him from behind. Jeisen shook him off with a quick roll, but the speedster came running by and side swipped him with his fists. It didnt hurt all that much but it was disorientating. Just as the speedster was about to come back with a second pass though, Jeisen cheated. Jeisen threw down his bubble shield right before the man was about to come. IT expanded out rapidly and the speedster couldnt change his course fast enough, running right into it. He went skidding back on the floor, a crumpled mess

Well that was one down, only five more to go.

Carson had anticipated the gunner's attack. He was a gunner for Christ's sake. He had a gun. Pretty blatant. Carson had already prepared for the bullet, forming a bulletproof vest of sorts out of shadows, so it would catch the bullet before it hit his skin.

The gunner fired a shot at him, and the bullet was caught in the vest immediately. He unzipped his jacket and revealed the vest. "Always wear protection." he said. He coated his hand in a hardened shadow, and hit the gunner with a stunning haymaker. He lobbed a shadow at the gunner as well so that he would be subdued and incapacitated.

The bulelts are stopped with ease and the gunman is taken down with the shadows. He gets pinned to the floor where he struggles greatly for a few second, but then realizes its almost useless. He starts spewing increasingly creative cuss words and phrases at Carson as he lies there on the ground. It was actually quite impressive with how he was using shadows in the cuss words. Nolan even memorized a few of them.

Sweet, now two were down. Only four more to go, this should be easy!... or well Easier.

Jeisen Raised his own guns at the others as he backed up to Hellhound. He stood back to back with him for just a moment as The remaining four surrounded them... wait. The leader was spewing an icy mist around himself, looking like a cold demon from the parts of hell that froze over. The behemoth of a man seemed to swell up in size as he turned a interesting color of beat red. The man that seemed to regenerate just stood there on the opposite side of them, trying to look threatening as a 6'2" 150 pound twig can look. Seems he could regenerate, but can't hit puberty to put on some weight. The teleporter.. Where the hell was the teleporter?

With a loud crack, the teleporter reappeared next to the ice man leader. He was holding some strange black box that looked like old cracked wood. The image of the box was forevered burned inside of Jeisen's head. He could see the small intricate markings on it from here, though he had no reference for them. Seemed older then any Slavic origins. Maybe something from Egypt? Jeisen needed to find out what the hell that box was.

That would have to wait though... As a large portion of the roof and second floor was tore off. It was as if a giant hand reached down and simply lifted off the roof as if it was a doll house. Seriously, what the hell was going on? The ground floor shook violently with the after shocks of the tear, nearly knocking Jeisen to the ground. He could hear a chopping sound though that sounded an awful lot like a helicopter. Looking up through the gaping hole, he could see indeed a helicopter. But far more advance then anything a modern police force would be using. Rain fell through the hole in great buckets.

The ice man of a leader looked up at it as well with a grin. He sure was a cocky little sun of a bitch now wasn't he? The man looked like he had just won the lottery with how his eyes looked.

"Good timing there mate, looks like our ride is here! You big man, grab wheels and jumper, you get hotshot from over there eh? Lets get the hell out of here before I get bored of these heros."

The giant of a man seemed to want to crush them for a second as his tiny brain debated ignoring the order and charging them. The leader saw this and gave him a death stair that could freeze over hell. The big man backed down after he got that looked, his rage quelled. With that the leader slammed his hand on the ground to form an ice wall around both Jeisen and Hell hound. Jeisen tried to shoot through it with his guns but it was already too think and too late. By the time he got through, the helicopter was already leaving with its team and prize. A great big path of ice had lead up into the sky to it, but now... it all came crashing down like slush. All the ice seemed to melt in one quick motion. Looks like ice man had a range on his popsicles. That should be useful later.

Jeisen just stood there for a second looking up at the hole as Rain fell through in an almost perfect circle. It clinked off of his exposed metals with a soft pattering. With a small metallic sigh, Jeisen shook his head and began heading to the hostages. He spoke to the with a filtered voice through his helm

"You guys alright?"

He crouched down on one knee as he began to apply some basic medical treatment. A few of the hostages had scrapes and bruises, but nothing of to serious an injury. He really only had to wrap up a few scraps and cuts. They didn't really anser him through as he looked rather scary to them in his armor. Jeisen knew he had that affect sometimes, but it was unintended. As he did so he looked over to Hellhound. In that same filtered voice, he spoke rather quietly.

"Thanks for the back up"

Jeisen nodded to him, about as thankful as he shows most of the time. He could hear the police outside, shouting at the building if they could come in. Damn police, always so slow and useless. Jeisen swore, when seconds counted they were only minutes away.  Gave Nolan sometime to go through the data bases though. Jeisen didn't know what those guys wanted, but when a team of meta human robbers decide to rob a bank and not take any of the money, it was worth looking into. Specially when they were that well organised and efficient. Nolan simply took hordes of the data, not looking for anything particularly. Jeisen would have to filter through it later to find what that black box was, if it was even on record. He didn't doubt that some one might have simply hidden it in here before records were even digitized.

Carson was stunned. There was an ice wall surrounding him. He shoved one of his tentacles into the ice, and flung himself upwards and out. He walked over to Jeisen and spoke. "No problem." he said.

Walking over to the door, Carson slowly opened it, just peeking his head out of it. "You're clear to move in, officers." he stated. He walked back over to Jeisen and knelt beside him.

"Hey, dude, um... Y'know, I never really caught your name." "Nevermind that. I have a little bit of a proposition for ya."

Carson pulled one of the Guardians' flyers from his backpack.

"I'm the leader of a group of heroes called The Guardians. I'd like you to join. If you're a solo-hero type of guy, I understand. We're just looking for recruits, and you fit the part." he told him.

Carson was forgetting a detail. He strained his brain to remember.

"Oh, yeah. Um, we're stationed in Chicago. If you'd like to join, then you'd have to make it there." he said. He extended his hand out to Jeisen, expecting him to shake.

"You in?"

Jeisen just stood there for a second. , green cloak hanging behind him with his hands still holding his guns. Was this guy for real? Just offered him a spot in a super hero group? Jeisen blinked beneath his metal mask. First he helped stop a bank robbery, then another one, and now he is being offered a spot in a superhero group? For a guy who couldn't really see himself as a hero, he sure was doing their job for  them. He spoke in a low voice with a mechanical filter from his helmet.

"You know what? Yea, I'm in."

Jeisen shoke the mans hand with an armored hand. He didn't quite know what he was about to get into, but he was getting into it with both hands. Who knows? Maybe this was his luck turning around.

"My name is Jeisen. Take this."

Jeisen tosses Hell hound a small black device about the size of a button.

"Its a tracker, just turn it on and I'll get there. I don't know if I'll be stationed in Chicago just yet, but I will be there if you need me. London is being to feel like home. Now, if you excuse me, not the biggest fan of police"

Jeisen pulled the green cloak's hood up over his helm as he began to walk away once more. He waved over his left shoulder with his hand.

"Cya around"

And with that, he was gone, silent as a ghost. Nolan had finished up with the data collection as well. Good, something for him to look over in his off time.
