The Legacy

Personality:Nick is pretty proud of himself, but insults make that proud of him dissapear. He thinks he is way more smart than other people. But he keeps that to himself, rarely saying it in public. He is pretty friendly, he sees everybody as little kids who needs guidance. He only respect people who are smart, but cares for everybody equally. He would rather save a genius from a stupid individual. He is very insecure. A few insults and he will break down. After being bullied in high school, he despises everyone who takes unfair advantage from other.

History: Nick was born quite away from society. His dad took him away to Alaska and established in a cabin in the woods when he was 5. He was not like the other kids he knew, he was different. He was way more intelligent. HIs dad tried to work on a cure to the Metahuman gene. He believed that it will cause the destruction of earth that people could have powers that could end hundreds of lives. He created a vaccine, the Howson gene. It could isolate the meta gene and destroy it. There was only one way to test it, on his kid. If he tried it on himself and it failed, nobody could do anything to revive him. But if it failed in his son, he could heal him. He injected the gene to Nick when he was 8. The last thing he remembered was his father looking at him in horror. The Howson gene had failed, it just opened an easier path for the Meta gene to affect the recipient. He woke up in a hospital, with 2 nurses applying him cold water compresses to his arms. He later was told that his father died on a fire. The cabin caught a spark and everything burned. He only got a few minor burns on his wrists. He was sent away to work in a factory. In the factory, he picked up trash and provided food to the workers, but there he learnt his new passion. Since it was a shoe factory, there were not much computers, but it had one, with a technician that controlled some robots that cut the soles. He began learning bits of coding. Years later, he entered to MIT to study programming and robotics. He got both of his degrees and then moved to New York to get a job and settle down. Then IT happened. One day he was coding at his computer, when he accidentally touched the computer case barefoot. The computer shut down. There was no way to turning it on. The next day, he realized he has some yellow hairs. Odd. At work, all machines he touched died. His boss sent him home early because he wanted no more dead machines. On his way home, he saw a girl getting mugged. He punched the robber, making the girl flee. The robber attacked NIck and shot him several times. They both fought very hard. When Nick was near Hell's door, the robber pointed the gun at him. At a final act of mercy, he extended his hand, with his ring finger folder due to pain of the fight. Seconds later, a electricity ray came out of him, killing almost instantly the robber. A policeman walked by and saw the scene and called an ambulance for Nick. After this incident he discovered that he had a gift. After the NY Assault, he decided it was the time to become a hero.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1:Energy absorption. With bare hand touch, he can absorb electric energy from every machine. He can also absorb energy within a 2 feet ratio without touch, but little amounts. He could also absorbe nuclear and life energy, but he has not mastered his skills enough to do so.

Power 2: Energy expulsion. Nick shoots lighting bolts from his hands when he folds his ring finger.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Overload. When he has too much energy on his body, it will explode in a shockwave, leaving his powerless for at least 2 hours.

Weakness 2: Easy manipulation. When he is near overload or in the middle of absorption, there is a point where he the energy flows through his, not stored in him. If any villain can control energy, this is the point where he is vulnerable, and the energy could backlash onto him.
