Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
As the smoke bomb rolls near and begins to disperse its cloud, both fighter take a step back. And as she hears Jeannie call out, Heather shouts in response. "We can't pull back. The shooter knows we're here; they'll kill the hostages if we don't hurry."
Taking a chance, Heather breaks through the cloud, rushing the firestarter. The man seems more disoriented than most, coughing as though the haze has irritated his lungs. Without taking the time to contemplate her sudden good fortune, the shapeshifter kicked off the terrorist's chest, launching herself up onto the containers.
From her new elevation, Heather begins to sprint, trying to head off the gunner before they can get close to the bridge...
Meanwhile, the fire starter is scrambling to his feet, equally ready to pursue the girl in violet now that he has caught his breath. With an explosive burst, he rockets up to the countainer. Then he begins two wind up a fireball to pitch after the girl.
Heather knows she cannot slow down, else she'll lose the sniper. She has to trust that the bounty hunter will be able to draw him off...

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
huh? there are more hostages ok then, violet takes off apparently she saw the sniper and took off after him. She took down the fireman temporarily, however, she made the mistake of not making sure she got him and now sparky took off after her.
She wonders why she thought this woman was lee. He is much more of a big thinker. She thought they'd make a plan but she took off before then so she'll improvise then. She'll try and draw sparky away from violet. Changing dance partners is the plan then she guesses.
So she was able to learn a little bit about sparky watching him fight violet. apparently his powerful at fighting up close. odd She thought he'd be better at long distance. Also, he seemed to be more affected by the smoke bomb beside the usually disoriented effect it has interesting.
Maybe he is extra sensitive or it could affect his powers.
Jeannie also wonders what kinda powers the sniper has, she doesn't miss often. Maybe he has speed power like the other guy? Or he could he have some kinda disruptive power like bending the light around him to throw her off. Will his Violets problem for now.
What to do about sparky, can you shoot someone made out of fire? She draws her MP5Ks and fires at him not sure if it'll hurt him but should draw his attention.

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
As the fire wielding madman wound up his fireball, he heard gunfire behind him. He turned but too slow and felt bullets drill into his back. One had even been lucky enough to sever his spine and the man crumpled under his own weight.
The man screamed and cursed in an unintelligible language as he tried to keep himself propped up. But he was unable to bring his power to bear without loosing his balance. Instead, he elected to roll over and he began laughing. He spoke his last insult and then spontaneously caught fire. It did not look like a good idea to stick around.
Meanwhile, Heather had remained moving and let herself drop from a container just ahead of the shooter, forcing her prey to stop. The marksman paused, studying the young heroine. Then the rifle fell and a cutless was drawn from their hip.
"Really?" Heather questioned. "A sword?"
The blade whipped up and lashed forward, missing only barely as Violet evaded. The blade quickly twisted away and came back again, this time drawing a line on the heroine's cheek. The dance repeated a few times, blade sweeping around, Heather evading with just enough room.
The sword wielder was skilled, but not spectacularly so as they were actually riddled with openings. In one last sweep, Heather ducked under a slash then drove forward, planting a firm fist under the terrorist's sternum. With the air suddenly expelled from their lungs, they gave a grunt that sounded almost...feminine?
"Oh?" Heather muttered, a bit surprised to find this bizarre trope in play. Then again, the swordswoman was wearing a hood and face-wrap so she might have figured. Not wanting to let the woman regain her bearings, Violet darted forward, striking the girl's temple, knocking her cold.
Tossing the girl's weapons into the ocean and binding her hands and feet, Heather looked to the bridge. Jon Kassel likely had the rest of he crew there...

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Yikes, that could have gone better. Note to self-don't shoot firemen they explode. Well, jeannie is pretty sure she got him but, now the boats on fire.
That just won't do she was supposed to get the boat back in one piece, she looks around and finds a fire extinguisher.
She gets the fire under control and looks around to see where violet and the bad guy she was chasing got to.
She smell and round and picks up their scent and follows it. She comes across the tied up bad guy yay looks like violet got her target too. Ok if her calculations are right that left just leaves the big baddy to get.
She catches up to violet who was looking toward the bridge.hey buddy, sorry I'm late firefly decided to go out with a bang so I had to play firefighter, thought it be kinda silly to let it burn down after all this work we've done to get it back. So the boss man in there, let's go get him and wrap things up.

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Heather looked from Jeannie to the bridge and then to the sniper she had just subdued. An idea was coming tow her. Going over, she took off the woman's mask. Passing a sideways glance towards the bounty hunter. asking, "You have a picture of Kassel, right?" Indicating the unconscious girl, she continued, saying, "Does she look anything like him?"
Either way, the shapeshifter elected to adopt the fallen girl's form. Explaining her reasoning, Violet said, "She might have been a telepath. That would explain why she knew I was behind her before seeing me." Turning back to the bridge, she added, "We might be able use her form to draw Kassel out. You can take him if I give you an opening."
Looking to Jeannie, Heather finally noticed her rifle: it had no magazine..."Sorry I tossed the rifle away. I'd have given it to you if I thought you needed it..."
That was her plan. If Jeannie agreed, Heather would head up, faking an injury. Jeannie would have to find her position to set the trap...

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Jeannie watches violet transform again amused with her interesting power. yeah, of course, I got a pictureshe looks through her bag and pulls out a wanted poster of Kassel can't chase the bad guys if I don't know what they look like
yeah a rifle would have made your plan easier but I'll think of something making traps is part of being a good hunter Jeannie watches violet head off to be the bait then goes about setting her trap. she takes some flash bombs from her bag and sets them up with some trip wires to go off when kassel came in blinding him.
For the next part of the trap she tapes one of her mp5 to a container on one side of the room and loops a trip wire though the trigger so it go off by its self, once disoriented by the flash he'll be drawn to the first thing he notices the gun shooting by its self while she's on the opposite side of the room.
Jeannie then hides behind some boxes waiting for violet to carry out her part of the plan.

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Comparing the picture to the girl, Heather was able to see some similarity. She was fairly certain that Kassel was related to the sniper. Editing her disguise, she gave herself a frightening looking wound in her side.
She quickly ascended toward the bridge, slowing as she drew near. She began to stagger, breathing heavily, mimicing the agony of a gunshot to the abdomen as best she could. She came to the hatch, striking the bulkhead to get someone's attention before sagging against the nearest railing.
Kassel, as expected, game running to his sister's aid. "Sandra!" he cried, worry evident on his face. "How did this happened?" he asked, trying to check the wound. Then he paused, looking the shapeshifter in the eyes. "You're not her..."
Before he could reach his falchions, Heather had pulled the man's head against the railing. Then lifting him by the legs, she attempted to pitch the terrorist down to the deck below. Sadly, he managed to snag her, pulling the unlucky heroine after.
Kassel ended up landing on Heather, the shapeshifter absorbing most of the shock into her legs and left arm with a sickening crunch. Both seemed dazed, though the shapehifter recovers quicker. Violet began to drag herself away. They weren't too far from where she had left the bounty hunter; the trap was likely nearby.
"Oh, that looks painful," Kassel mocked, now on his feet. "It was painful, actually. I felt it too. Had to shut you out but I figure, broken as you are, no need to worry too much." The sound of two steel blades scraping together reached her as she found a near invisible wire.
Turning over, Heather smirked up at the lunatic. "You sure about that?" she asked, before yanking on the line.
Kassel looked up just in time for the grenades to go off. "Gah, dammit." He stumbled away. Having dropped his swords, he tried rubbing his eyes, hoping to clear his vision. He stepped into the other line, triggering the machinegun and ducked in panic. "There's two of you here?"

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Yay, the plan worked the bad guy walked right into her trap. With the bossman bad guy confused Jeannie jumps from her perch on the boxes.
Throwing a net she found in the boxes while waiting for violet to get back over the stunned terrorist and landing on top of him. Tag your it!!!!!!!!!she pulls out a taser and zaps him.
She looks over to violet and gives her a thumbs upVictory is ours,I got him all wrapped up. you okay? that was a nasty fall.jeannie then makes a funny face ow no think I should have asked him where the other hostages were before I zapped him? Well, I guess since he's still alive we could wake him up and ask.
good thing one of voice in my head said he'd probably be worth more alive so I didn't shoot him huh?

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
Heather lay on the deck, unwilling or unable to get up for the moment. In a still winded voice, she said, "Check the bridge. I saw the crew. Go check on them."
Having said her peace, she began to focus on her powers. Slowly, she began to focus. Her body began to shift and mold. Muscles strained as bones popped back into alignment. Soon, Violets broken and was back as it should have been. She had even reverted to her heroic costume.
Winded by the strain, Heather remained where she had fallen. "You go ahead. I'll catch up," she said.
The vague sound of helicopters could be heard. It appeared the cavalry was coming to clean up. Good. Heather was exhausted.

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
ok then Jeannie makes sure that Kassel is all nice and tied up in the net, don't want him waking up and sneaking away then goes to check the bridge.
She hopes violets ok well hopefully they can get a doctor for here she hears helicopters so helps coming. Once at the bridge she finds the rest of the crew and goes to untie them. hi guys I'm Jeannie and here to save you and happy to tell you your boat is yours again yay!
She makes sure there ok the gets her phone out to call FBI guy boss hello boss guy it's me the ships got it's rightful captain in place again and the not dead bad guys are all nice and gift wrapped for you,hey I was wondering since kassel is a big name on your bad guy list I should get a bonus for bringing him in alive right?
Sure you boys in interrogation will have a field day getting secrets out of him. Any why there was this local hero that got hurt helping so if you could send a doc for her and one of the terrorists that might need to be looked at before you can move him, okay then well I just wait around for you to come pick them up and bring my money then bye-bye.
She then turns her attention to the captain who thanks her for saving them. No problem,oh yeah you might want to send some guys to clean the poop deck I kinda accidently blew a guy up on it so it's a little messy ,oh and there's a smushed guy in the cargo hold he might get smelly after a while.
Jeannie waits around for the FBI boss guy to show up hopefully violet catches up before then. She'd hate to leave without saying goodbye, thank her for her help and make sure she is ok,Jeannie plays a game on her phone while she waits.

Re: Offshore (Jeannie)
The helicopter came down and men in the black uniforms of FBI HRT dropped in on ropes. One of the men carried a metal and wire cap...Faraday cage maybe? Probably to isolated his telepathy.
One of the men approached Heather, just now climbing to her feat. "Ma'am, I think you should come with me." He was carrying an carbine, but it was safetied, muzzle directed down.
"Why?" the heroine asked. "I didn't do anything wrong." She found herself shying away. She was now clad in her Violet outfit, so she shouldn't be mistaken for a terrorist.
"That's not what I meant," the agent asserted. "We saw everything through our scopes. Including your fall. You look fine now, but I still think you should be checked out."
"No," Heather said again. "I promise, I'm fine. You guys handle your business; I'll cover mine." Heather began to head toward the edge of the deck. She paused. Turning, she shouted, [color=violet]"Oh, don't forget to check for forecastle. There was an invisible woman up there..."
The agent rushed forward and just missed catching Violet as she leapt, diving into the water below. The pain of impact woild lead to some brief regret but she quickly swam back to shore.

So the FBI boys shoe up with a nice entrance to collect the captured bad guys.
Huh, wonder what that funny hat one has is for,oh well she paid to shoot stuff not ask questions. So moving on to that she makes her way throw the crowd of agents to find the leader.
missions accomplished bossman the crews back to floating their boat and safe. And the bad guys all have big boo boos! yeah ok then the commander gives Jeannie a briefcase with her money in it Jeannie smiles and dances around happy.
well nice working with you guys, call me if you need any more help bye bye huh Jeannie looks around and see violet has already disappeared, how rude she left without saying goodbye,oh will guess she's ok if she was able to take off that's good.
Time for her to go know too.
She goes back to the warehouse where she started and finds her bike a parking ticket really! She was on a mission of national security that should get her diplomatic immunity from parking tickets, well good thing she just got paid. She heads off to the airport hopefully she doesn't have a helicopter parking ticket waiting there.
Huh, she doesn't think there was a parking meter there, once there she'll take off on her next adventure will maybe stop for pizza first she's hungry again.

well nice working with you guys, call me if you need any more help bye bye huh Jeannie looks around and see violet has already disappeared, how rude she left without saying goodbye,oh will guess she's ok if she was able to take off that's good.
