A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Zell on October 21st 2015, 10:44 pm

Laying there in the hospital with the rhythmic beeping of the EKG echoing in the almost vacant room of sterile white walls. Tubes and poles to one side of the bed, the IV drip calibrated at thirty drips a minute. Little thin white strands leading from beneath the covered boy and leading right into the beeping machine as his heart continued to beat in sinus rhythm.  For a moment another person was within this room, looking at the young man who lay in the hospital bed. They watched him intently, lost in thought as they began to let the memories of the pervious evenings flow to mind. Struggling, fighting and doing everything they could for this young man. But in the end.... he was dead.

A tear came to eye as she sighed, this grand revelation sinking into her mind and settling over, like an uncanny frost upon the fields in the winter mornings. It was a cold, unsatisfying feeling. A feeling of dread, a feeling of helplessness and a feeling without hearth or heart. It's true, his heart was beating... But Matthew died that night. The EEG was proof enough to tell them that there was absolutely no activity going on within his head. The body was breathing, surviving...but Matthew was not truly alive. With a shaky exhale the large African American woman wiped her eye, dragging her hands across her white scrubs and leaning forward to place her hand on Matthew's forehead.

"Time and time again you were there to make sure everything went alright." Adalane said, her voice breaking a little bit, anger slowly creeping up on her. She knew she had no right to be angry with him, and in truth she really wasn't. She was angry at the world, at God...if he even existed. Just last week Matthew was a volunteer here, busting his back more than some of the paid professionals to help her make sure her patients got better. To make this world better. Now...he was one of her patients. "Now you're not here and the whole thing goes to Hell...You always helped me. But I let you down. I'm so sorry Matty. We tried." She said as she swallowed, the choking sensation creeping up on her as she stood up. She walked out of the room, leaving the vegetative young man undisturbed and alone.

It hadn't been long at all. Just three days ago he was admitted after the car he was near exploded, propelling him backwards and causing internal damages. And while his friends gathered round, Matthew fought tooth and nail to do the impossible. He fought to cheat death. Of course, none can stop Death, not truly at any rate. Matthew was able to keep himself alive however, alive just long enough to burst through and grab Luke by the arm and warn him of the one that did this to him. He told him to not go, to not take the bait. To let him die unavenged. To die unavenged was better than to approach the gates of Hell with two friends in tow.  Not that he'd make it to Hell. The Devil would likely lose his throne.

Of course things were never simple. Life in all of it's glory was convoluted, it was different and never what it appeared to be. You see Matthew was a human, but if there were ever a super power that Matthew would be confused for having it would perhaps be having a rather inhuman willpower. To be Humanity and battle Elena Vexus, to escape from Zachriel's Lament and to stand tall and proud against a world filled with things that should have utterly crushed him. He was a man amongst the gods...and he humbled them until the day where he was his own undoing. But that will power of his was in fact strong. So strong in fact that he should have survived. He should have survived and taken a few months to rehabilitate and maybe a year or so to fully recover from his injuries. You see his lack of recovery and the reason for the death of his brain was something altogether strange and mysterious.

Supernatural ...

Eldritch ...

It was today that Humanity, that Matthew would have his final chance at waking from the slumber of death as he lay in his white bed, the medical chart clipped at the foot of his bed. It was here that a very special duo were going to meet with someone as strange as this very situation. It was in the confines of this old, brown brick hospital that fate would be forever altered.

A gentle hand moved and clasped around a slender shoulder. The hand was slender, but strong. A set of long, natural nails were painted deep red. The contrast of color against the simple white tee shirt donned by the shoulder's owner was lovely.

Chelle Takeiro was a woman of business, and today she was going to visit a man in the hospital. She brought along her lovely niece, Tyuki Gold, in hopes that her gift of healing could help mend a few cases in this hospital, if not the one she had come to investigate in person.

It was rare to see Miss Takeiro in such casual clothes. She was still in a dress, just in nothing ranging to haute couture. The dress was strapless, a large silky black bow encircling her waist. The bow rested just above her rump, accenting her curves even more. The dark teal dress made her olive skin look even more enticing. Tiered layers swept around of her legs as she walked, showing off her perfect, long, goes on for miles legs. A pair of stiletto heels left clicks with each step she made on the marbled floors of the old brown bricked hospital.

"Tyuki... when we arrive, I'd like for you to give me a few moments with him. Feel free to drift the children's wing and sign a few autographs. I'm sure they would love to see you." Chelle spoke, releasing her niece's shoulder as they approached the reception desk.

Tyuki just agreed happily and skipped off, making her way to the children's wing. The hospital staff were so blessed to see a pop star like Tyuki making an appearance in their facilities.

Chelle had inadvertently given this hospital a gift they did not even need. Standing at the nurse station, the Queen of Thrones looked for the more friendly face among the staff on duty. An older, heavier African American charge nurse just exited a room. Chelle's instincts told her this woman would be the most beneficial in aiding her main goal. Find the man she was looking for.

"Hello Nurse... Adalane. My name is--" She was cut off.

"You're that fancy business woman that's been on the news. Chelle Takeiro. What brings you here?" She asked, setting down a file of papers on her station. She looked to have been previously crying, and the slightest waver in her voice was evident.

Chelle noted this, but offered a friendly smile and nodded. "Yes, but Chelle is fine. I am in no way your superior. Just another civilian here to visit a sick friend." She went on, still giving a friendly demeanor to this woman.

She was supposed to meet someone here, but she assumed waiting in the room would be best. For now, she carried on a mild conversation with Adalane, being polite as could be.

The conversation between Chelle and Adalane carried on for a few moments before they were interrupted. Adalane attempted to be as kind as she knew how to be, especially given the fact she was speaking to a rather prestigious individual. Granted, she wasn't going to make exceptions for anyone, and she wouldn't take crap from anyone...but thankfully Chelle wasn't the type to start crap. She was probably the type to end it; but probably not start it. "Well that's not too much of a problem. May I have your friend's name? I'll just look them up here and give you the number and floor." She offered, trying to force a professional guise, despite her own personal drama. Of course no sooner had she turned to her computer had a voice spoken up to interrupt them.

"Actually that won't be necessary, dearie." The accent trailed a bit. Adalane immediately turned her head and peered across the monitor as a brown haired man in a suit stood and a thick wooly black overcoat. With black leather across his hand he was armed with a walking cane and a rather elaborate bouquet. Several flower types perfectly arranged in an orderly fashion. First was the lavender colored Chrysanthemums. Large, beautiful and bright pink flower sprawled out with white tracing it's edges. Speckles of deep magenta adoring it with several little stalks sprung forth; Stargazer lilies. Mixed within were white and yellow colors, small little tropical flowers, the Frangipani offered some nice contrast to the arrangement. Finally there were several multi colored flowers, deep pink and gold that seemed to be half open (four o' clocks) while surrounding two larger flowers. The first larger flower was a golden daffodil and yet another stargazer lily, however this one was a different genus, and it's genetics proven by giving it a deep purple hue.

"I think we're here to see the same person. Miss Takeiro, I am Castor Gale. The pleasure is mine." He said with a smile before he leaned on his cane, shifting the flowers a little before looking to Adalane. "Matthew is in this room over here. We won't be long." Samhain said to Adalane with his usual charming smile, before his cane clicked against the shining linoleum flooring. With a little gimp the man made his way to the automatic glass door which opened and allowed him access to Humanity's "room", hoping that Miss Takeiro would follow him as he placed the flowers at the bedside a moment, looking for a vase to put them in. In this moment, Queen Chelle would be free to do as she pleased, look at the medical chart as the foot of his bed, examine the surroundings or simply watch Samhain out of caution. Whatever until her heart's content.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Chellizard on November 19th 2015, 10:46 pm

Chelle hadn't heard a single noise, other than the footsteps of those bustling around of the nurse station on the current floor. Busy employees of the hospital were moving from room to room, checking on patients, and even walking patients down the corridors. Turning slightly, Chelle's own attention moved to see whom had come up behind of her. The accented voice piqued her interest. She rose one of her perfectly shaped brows and looked over the man in front of her. He was fairly handsome, and very well groomed. The clean lines of his attire added that extra something to his overall demeanor.

Her own attire spoke highly of her. She felt this dress was not over the top, but some people would disagree with her opinion on the matter. Her niece, in fact, was wearing something quite casual in comparison and had insisted Chelle change into something else. Not listening to her niece, the Queen would of course wear whatever she damn well pleased. Looking to the flowers in his hand, she was curious of the color choices, and gave him a quizzical look before nodding.

"Indeed, Castor Gale. And I am Chelle Takeiro, definitely here to see Matthew. When I heard of his condition, I had to come and see him." she said, trailing shortly behind of him. The nurse allowed them access to visit, and kept her eye out for the room.

As Chelle followed Castor inside, the glass door slid closed. Chelle had pulled her phone from her small clutch bag and sent a single text to Tyuki. It read the room number that she was in. Glancing immediately to the bed, she took note of the man resting in the plush hospital comforters. He must be treated like a king here. She smiled a bit, but grabbed the edge of the blinds and pulled them shut, casting privacy on the room now.

A few more high heel clicks gave Chelle access to the chart hanging at the foot of Matthew's bed. She opened it and flicked through a few pages, reading over his condition. She could smell his blood with each heart beat, the monitors just a few microseconds off from the real beating of his heart. The machines were good, but not as good as she was. She licked over her lips quickly and looked to Castor.

"So.." She started, not wanting to keep the small tension growing between them.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Looking through his chart would yield nothing overly of importance. Leukemia survivor, clinically dead once before and woke up with the slightest traces of schizophrenia; nothing overly worthy of note. However there was something to be said about the man's track record as a vigilante. No one knew who he was, He'd never shown any type of true mental malady or a compromised mental state, and ultimately he seemed to be a rather upstanding citizen. Thanks to information given by Samhain, word and proof of his actions were spread along, Chelle was now looking over the chart of the most dangerous and effective pure-human human vigilante on the planet.

"Well I'm sure you can see that our mutual friend is not exactly in a position to meet your expectations." Samhain made a rather simple note of it as he continued to fluff up and examine the congregation of flora in a very particular way. When he finally finished he was able to set it as it should be before looking back to the ever elusive queen of Thrones, both of his hands finding their way to the tippy-top of his cane as a bit of a sly smile crossed his face. "Congratulations dearie, you're now the only other person whom knows the identity of the ever enigmatic threat known as "Humanity". Of course he was in much better condition when he had his stand off with Elena Vexus, fought off that terrorist A.I in London and all that... but it seems as though you've come at an impasse. Your desired recruit is rather incapacitated." Samhain said as he took his hand from the cane, an eyebrow sliding down a bit in bemusement of the situation he found himself in. Of course he didn't assume to hold this over anyone's head. Such a thing was beneath him. All he knew was that Queen Chelle had something. Something that Samhain wanted rather desperately. Not that he would let her in on that detail.

"Fortunately I just so happen to know why our little human friend won't recover from his latest ordeal, and no meta gene or magic alive has been able to save him thus far." Samhain explained the situation rather simplistically, not even bothering to go into details about how Matthew seemed to be impossible to heal to begin with. Though he quickly added to the statement. I just so happened to do some... inquisitor work. In doing so I was able to ascertain what exactly was needed in order to save him from this little situation. There's just one thing left to do..."[/color] The eerily cheery fellow said, his smile not fading yet as he stepped forward, his cane clicking off the ground as he hobbled with a little groan.

"That is of course, make a deal. If you're still interested in that is." Samhain said, the highlight of his week to be exactly. Making deals were his forte, his dessert even; for lack of a better term. It just so happened that according to Samhain's sources and dead-drops he knew exactly what it was he needed. Not wanted, but needed in order to fix the ever engulfing darkness that threatened his very existence. That threatened to swallow the last light of the once decent being. The only real question left was whether the Queen of Thrones would even consider a deal with a stranger such as this, or was she going to try and make him sell this? Either way, he was convinced he could do it. But there were no doubts going to be questions, and this was not going to be easy. Especially not for what Samhain was going to ask for.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Chellizard on November 30th 2015, 11:44 pm

She flicked her burning auburn gaze toward Samhain, her breath stopping for a moment. This was Humanity? She let out a soft sigh as she looked at the poor young man tucked into the hospital bed. She made her way to his side, opposite of the man who lured her here today.

"Funny you mention identities and knowing them. I am a very important person, both on the media, and behind of it. You know what I want you to know about me. So, what little you think you know, I expect you to keep it quiet or I'll eat your heart out." She flashed a grin filled with charming malice. She was vexed with beauty unlike any other, making men and women of all orientation swoon over her.

Thinking on his words, Chelle's mind wandered to a memory of Elena Vexus. She had met this woman once - a business proposal had been laid out on her desk by a woman known as Elena Vexus. Humming to herself for a moment, she had broken eye contact with Samhain, making her attention linger on Matthew for a few moments.

"Oh? You've tried everything?" She asked, her thumb gliding over her phone's screen to send a text off into the atmosphere, summoning her niece a few short moments later.

Tyuki appeared, but not at the door to the room. She was at the window. She was in full costume, concealing her identity completely. Chelle insisted Tyuki come as such to make sure she was safe from Castor. Chelle was much more influential than her niece was - so keeping her own identity was easy... but keeping her nieces was hard.

"I'm sure you've read the papers about Eclipse. My ties with certain people granted me a meeting with Angel of New York." Chelle had already crossed from the edge of the bed toward the window to open it.

Tyuki was waiting on the roof, having signed so many autographs in such a short amount of time. She escaped here, waiting for the signal from her Aunt. The moment her phone went off, she grabbed a small device and pressed a button. The device sprung open and pounced onto her torso, spreading out from there in a flash of light. It was as if gravity was forced to let go of Tyuki for a moment. She rose up into the air, and the bright light encased her entire being. Her wings burst from her back, and the light spread out over her body. The light faded and she was covered in head to toe in new attire. It was a breathable body suit that was black with gold swirls. Eclipse was now in action.

Tyuki leaped from the building and floating toward the appropriate window. Her wings pumped a few times to keep her steady as she stopped in front of the right room window. She then knocked and waved to Chelle and the strange man inside of the room.

She waited to be let in.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Zell on December 6th 2015, 6:57 pm

The threats and malice drew out only a flash of a wicked grin and a rather impish giggle of the man, seeming to thrive off of her response as he looked away for only a second. It was amusing how much powers these things believed they had over him. Though to be entirely honest the woman was in fact one of the most interesting he'd ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She said something about Eclipse coming into the equation. Of this he was perfectly okay with and offered no protest as she seemed to look over the patient. Samhain would wait as Eclipse arrived very quickly at the scene of distress.

"My that was quick. Have you ever thought of starting a superhuman EMS service dearie?" He asked with a smile on his face, waving the strange metahuman inside as the curtains blew about. "If you can somehow do what the Archangel could not, then you ma'am are a saint. If not...we'll have to back track to the original idea." Samhain said with a smile, looking to Chelle with a form of satisfaction. It was natural for them to want and exhaust all of their options before resorting to deal with an enigmatic entity such as he. Their caution was all too understandable, actually.

"Well, enough of my rambling. Miss Eclipse, you have the spotlight." He said, stepping aside and rolling his hand out as he bowed a bit, allowing the angelic entity to walk through unhindered.

Post by Chellizard on January 12th 2016, 9:34 pm

Tyuki landed on the edge of the window as her Aunt opened it up.

"M'lday," Tyuki said, offering Chelle a small bow of her head. It was fun playing around like this, but she also knew this was a very serious moment. Tyuki was being used as a resource, and she was one hundred percent okay with that! Heck, she was here to save a life! There's no shame in being used like that, is there?

"Ooh, well, not really! But, I sometimes come to hospitals and sneak into rooms and cure terminal patients. It's kinda fun." She chuckled lightly and then cracked her fingers by lacing them together and folding them down and palms out away from her chest.

"Alright! Give me some space." she said, her wings folding up behind of her like a fluffy cape.

--

Chelle was silent, her form standing aside to allow room for her niece to work.

"Eclipse, do be serious... And focus~..." Chelle almost hissed the command, as if she was all too familiar with Tyuki's personality.

--

Tyuki stood beside of Matt's bed, looking down over his whole form. She traced his features with her eyes, carefully taking in every aspect of him. She wanted to know him better. She did this with everyone she tried to save. Pah, tried? She hadn't failed yet. Glancing at the monitors, she realized he had no brain activity, but she wasn't going to be discouraged by that. She would try. There was a reason for all things in this world.

Placing her hands directly over his heart, she started to concentrate her very soul into him. It was like the whole world slowed down. Her hair started to become stark white. The ebony became swallowed by ivory. Her bright emerald eyes became engulfed in a bright white light. Her veins started to glow, and then her powers started to burst from her palms and pump directly into Matt's core.

She focused on his very soul, being sure to delicately envelope him entirely. She could feel his very existence. It was like stepping through a new door.

"Every soul is like a flower blossoming in nature..." Tyuki's voice had a hint of an echo laced into it. She was a whole different being right now. It was as if she had ascended past her self and into a completely different level... maybe one of omnipotence.

The display was nothing less than immaculate to be sure. There was actually a pang in the heart of the Eldritch horror in man form, almost a sense of guilt and disappointment in knowing that this would not work.

No getting cold feet now. This is essential. Samhain's eyes closed as he took in a deep breath, trying to regulate his heartbeat. He was in control. He was always in control. That's as it always had been. That's how it would stay.

 If you insist...

It wasn't the first time that the Eldritch being had seen an angel work. It was just surprisingly personal and depressing to watch her pour all of her being into healing, and mending such a broken and deranged human being. Only for it to fail, and it was all his fault. He watched as she probably transcended the plane of existence they were on, reaching out and tapping into the entirety of the life web, into the very visage of quite literally everything this realm and universe had to offer. It was truly impressive, and the chance to see such a power akin to what was once so familiar... nostalgic to say the least. The selflessness of it all was actually both admirable and irritating. But it only added to the maelstrom of emotions when he watched all of her hard work end in futility.

The power winding down, the failed attempt at restoring lost volition still laying on the bed, seemingly unchanged from their previous position. Samhain just stood there. Looking at Matthew and then to Tyuki and sighing to himself, and not a theatrical sigh as he had done all so many times. A genuine sigh, but even he did not know why. Was it relief? Was it disappointment? Was is the feeling of betrayal and mal-intent that was eating him away on the inside? Regardless he made a point to speak to the amazing "Eclipse."

"Don't be hard on yourself...it was a beautiful display with unrivaled effort. For that I thank you." He said, genuinely thanking her before looking to Chelle, his overall mood having shifted a bit. "I hope you will excuse me, I'm quite parched. Would anyone like me to bring them something back?" Samhain asked, making perfect note of any drinks that were desired before walking out.

Spoiler:
Samhain walked outside, his cane clicking off of the ground this time as he took it in stride towards the water fountain. With little effort he managed to ask and procure a styrophome cup and with the press of the little button crystal clear water began to flow. The slight hiss of the pipe-work as the water arched granted Samhain nothing but annoyance, but it was far better than risking someone seeing him reach his arm through a vending machine and pulling one out. With the water finally in hand he stood and brought the cup to his lips tilting his head back as he closed his eyes.

"W-wait. Doctor there was just a spike on the room 2 EEG." Someone said, causing the nurses station to fall silent. The second the words graced his ears Samhain coughed. His powers convulsed, surging involuntarily as the cup phased through is hand and the cool liquid trailing down his throat splashed to the linoleum flooring. Samhain's breathing became a bit shallow as he stepped back and looked down as if mortified by the fact he just dropped the cup, while in truth his reasons were much, MUCH different.

"I-I'm so sorry. I'll...I'll be back to-" But he was easily dismissed and told not to worry about it, though he quickly excused himself to the rest room, securing and locking the door before he ran his hand through his hair, pacing back and forth as his eyes scanned the entire area. Turning to the mirror with a scowl on his face he glared in at his own reflection. "WHAT HAPPENED!?" Though to his surprise the reflection did not reply, rather the voice came from behind him.

Well I said she wouldn't be able to, I never quite said she wouldn't come close. Of course the voice caused even Samhain to jump, turning to see what was quite literally his twin in appearance in a more...otherworldly garb. Look, I said that nothing in this universe, nor any nearby could do anything about this. She just so happened to have something "closer" to the real remedy than you'd like, and it angers ya. It said, pointing at the businessman with a smile that was just begging for him to be punched in the face.

"Of course it's closer than I'd like! There is a LOT riding on this!"

Bah, don't worry. You worry too much. What you really SHOULD be doing is celebrating and not acting out in the bathroom like a teenaged girl that just got an inconclusive pregnancy test.

"Do I need to remind you what the plan is?" Samhain sneered through his teeth his eyes narrowing and his body beginning to visibly convulse with rage. Though his foil simply smiled and leaned forward a cool as could be, placing his face right back in punching range, even tempting to him.

Do I need to remind YOU what I am? What WE are? There is only one way to remove his curse. The Holy Light, which YOU are the sole proprietor of. So what, an angel came close, big deal. She is of this realm so she cannot heal him. The protocol is simple... though from your wishful thinking.... I'm not sure you want to succeed. This immediately caught the attention of the finely dressed Eldritch, whose head whipped to the side, glaring at his mimic, as if that were all the answer he needed. Then go out there...and Finish. That. Deal. replied with a drawl and a glare of it's own. With a deep breath Samhain stepped forward, walking through his otherworldly clone, causing it to dissipate into a navy blue and purple dust that burnt out into black and seemingly vanished into nothingness.

Providing he had drinks to get he could quite easily get them. Relocation was quite an impressive skill, as was his ability to simply phase through things and take what was needed. Of course when he finally came back into the room it was almost a different story.

"Now then...I believe we have a small matter to return out attentions to." Samhain said as he tried to focus in on Chelle, not allowing himself to dwell too much on the previous events.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Chellizard on January 16th 2016, 2:29 am

Chelle was patient as her niece went to work. She hadn't really witnessed the true power of Tyuki yet, so this was a treat on it's own really. She watched as Tyuki's skin became almost iridescent, and was struck with awe when the power her niece held could even send a few shivers down Chelle, the Queen of Thrones, spine.

She blinked a bit when Tyuki had finally stopped and stood back from the bed. Her eyes were welling up with tears. The tears floated away from her body, however, and turned into pure energy. She had reached a whole new level with her powers. Chelle could tell.

--

Tyuki was determined! She would be the one that saved this guy! It was for her Aunt, and also for him! She had no idea who he was, but she could feel the love that he had for other people as she literally reached into his soul and started to repair it. It was a lost cause, though. There was gripping magic keeping this man's soul from repairing itself. Tyuki had no idea about that fact, not entirely at least. She just knew he was broken, and she had failed to fix him.

She slowly let got of him, releasing him back to rest. Her hands stopped hovering over his chest and she took a step back, her chest clenching for a few moments while she held her breath. She then let out a sob and tears spilled over. However, they were not just tears. No. They were pure essence from her very core. She had no idea what this meant, but she felt stronger, and weaker all at the same time. She had failed to save his life. She looked to Chelle with pure disgust in herself.

She then let her eyes cross over to Samhain and she shook her head.

"N... no. Thanks, though." She started, waiting for the man to leave the room.

As soon as he was gone, she looked to her Aunt and just burst into a heavier fit of tears, sinking to her knees. She had never been this defeated in her entire life, and she had been the victim of kidnappings many, many times.

Once she was finished crying, she cleared her throat and shook her hands as she stood up.

"I'm... going." she said, her voice no longer sounding like she had an echo. Her hair was returning to normal, her eyes following suit. She whimpered as she made her way to the window. Perching there for a few moments, she sighed.

--

"Tyuki... For what it's worth, I believe in you. I'm sure there's something else going on here. I'll call you later. Go have a burger or something." She said, offering her niece a genuine smile.

Chelle crossed the room and shut the window behind of Tyuki as she flew off, the slight sparkle of some odd energy trailing after the angel.

Sinking down into one of the two chairs in the room, Chelle crossed her left leg over her right and she waited for the return of Samhain. She hadn't asked him for a drink, and she was sure he wouldn't bring one just to please her. She had business to discuss, and she needed to know what exactly it was down to the details.

She looked up when he walked into the room, now just the two of them and the comatose Matt.

"I'm listening," she said, waving her hand to indicate he should start talking.

"Believe me, swallowing my pride to even deal with your kind isn't on my favorites either." He said, rather convicted at the moment, seeing this woman now as nothing more than an obstacle rather than an actual person. "I'll keep this simple. I need Excalibur." Samhain said, though to be entirely honest he was aware that she'd want the details. Of course he wouldn't provide them...not without her actually asking. In the back of his mind he heard the little voice still talking.

 She'll never agree to that

Though Samhain simply tried to ignore it. Though the nagging sensation still itched in the back of his head, his very skull with the feeling of a fire within. The itch was unreachable, the gnawing pain giving nothing more than an irritable sensation and a lingering feeling that he couldn't quite describe. There was a pang in his chest and it took a great deal of discipline to not double over on the spot.

Prices to be paid... don't fail.

He wouldn't fail... he couldn't. His entire life was hinging upon it. Perhaps even something greater than his life...

Chelle let out a hearty chuckle, her hand raising to gently wave in the air.

"My kind, hm? DO you even know what I am?" She smirked, her eyes flashing a magnificent crimson and then returning to their normal, melting auburn hue.

She started to make her foot dance as she relaxed, completely ready for him to continue on speaking. When he mentioned Excalibur, she rose a brow. It had been centuries since she had even seen that god awful weapon. What on Earth would this man want with it? It was beyond her.

"Explain why you need it, and why you want it. Two simple things. I'm sure they're not the same reason." She said, keeping her foot dancing, swaying it in the air as her hands moved to clasp gently across her lap.

So was that seriously a question right now? Samhain just smirked with a slight scoff, as if he couldn't even believe he was going to answer the woman's initial question. Granted he fully saw the validity of the question, though what on Earth was she expecting him to say?

"I have a piece of calamari stuck in my tooth and I'd- Oh for the love of- I intend to kill something with it. It's a sword, I'm pretty sure that's the primary purpose of the damned thing, now isn't it?" He stated the rhetorical question back at the queen, though he was being a rather sassy Eldritch being he had to be extra caution.

"I should be careful, It was urban legend that if one exercised too much sass summoned an infernal demon of darkness from the depths of the underworld."

*knock knock* The door opens a little.

"Excuse me, May I just take the hourly vitals?" The heavy dark skinned woman asked from behind the door. Samhain blinked and looked back to Chelle, slightly unnerved at his own timing.

"Well, close enough." He turned over his shoulder and called for the woman. "Just a moment dearie. We won't be long. Scouts honor." He said, though the last portion more to himself than anything.

Are you going to answer the woman's question or are you going to continue failing at standup comedy?. The voice asked within him, of course he tried to ignore it but he sighed. Go on, tell her what you want it for. Let's place a bet. If she doesn't believe you; I'll take control right here and now. the voice added a rather malevolent and twisted snicker at the end. Shaking his head, Samhain looked to Chelle.

"I want Excalibur because I want to use against a Dragon that cannot be harmed by any conventional weapon. I NEED Excalibur because it's bringing me one step closer to what I want. I also want to, at some point, use it to play a little prank on someone and convince them they are a reincarnated King Arthur." He explained, actually rather irritated by the ever-growing presence in his mind, as well as the creeping suspicion that this woman was not going to grant this deal a second thought.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Chellizard on January 17th 2016, 4:25 am

Chelle let her mind wander, but kept just enough attention on Samhain to show she was interested in what he was saying, but not him entirely. She did this to a lot of people, in fact. She made it her business to prove she was the most important person in the room. At this point in time, she was, at least, she felt she was - and that's all that mattered.

She looked away from Samhain, humming with her lips puckering in distaste for his choice of reply.

"Do I need to walk away now? I'm sure that you have some ploy to kill this boy either way, so what difference does it make that I strike a deal with you to ensure he lives? He means nothing to me like this - and if you cannot take this seriously, why would I want to endure any more time wasted with you?" She said, finally turning her gaze onto him. She snapped back, her catty tone being accompanied by her fingernails growing to claws.

The knock on the door interrupted her display of power. She was about to show him the demon within, but lucky for him, the lovely charge nurse from earlier came to the rescue.

"I'll be sure to let you know, darling. I just want to finish this conversation, and I'm sure Matthew can hold on for a few more minutes. I have faith." Chelle said, smiling genuinely.

Once the door was shut again, she looked back to Samhain with her eyes narrowing. His explanation made sense, but she was not sold on it. Not entirely. Not yet.

"Dragons? Tricks? Are you still playing me for a fool? Everyone knows a dragon can be killed if you happen to get swallowed first. You have to kill it from the inside out. That's only for the bravest of souls. Plus, my blade is much better than Excalibur ever was or will be. Too bad, though, it's not for trade either." She almost purred as she snapped at him, her legs switching to cross the other way.

"Look. Why would you want me to go and fetch Excalibur? Or do you just trust I know the right people to get ahold of it faster than you lifting a finger to do it yourself?" she rose a brow curiously, her head tilting to the side a bit as she questioned him.

Re: A game for Thrones and the angles of Angels. (Chelle)

Post by Humanity on January 17th 2016, 5:00 am

"If you believe you can kill all dragons that way then you've answered that question for yourself. As far as treachery I have no intentions of killing Ma-" Samhain let out a little frustrated sigh before shaking his head. "Killing the boy gives me nothing. Now, far be it for me to rain on your parade, I'm not going after just ANY dragon. The dragon I'm going after can only be hurt by Excalibur. Your blade would bounce and break before it even scratched it's underbelly. Not that it's not a lovely blade I'm sure, but this one needs one blade in particular. It just so happens to be that one." Samhain tried to explain, though was rather frustrated at the turn of events. It wasn't exactly as if he wanted to outright explain the entirety of his plans.

"As far as not getting the damned blade myself...I think we both know that you have a certain dislike for said sword. And you seem to strike me as the kind to keep an eye on things you dislike...am I wrong, your majesty?" He asked, his voice finally calming down back to it's usual self, his frustrations having had their fleeting moment no longer took space in his mind. Truthfully it wasn't that he didn't know where it was. It wasn't that he couldn't simply take it as he saw fit. The problem was that there were eyes on this blade, and if he made a move he was exposing himself to the wrong person at the wrong time. His entire plan was foiled.

"When you make a deal with the Eldritch you make a deal that WILL be upheld. I will restore the boy and he WILL join Thrones; and If your blade is that much better than I think we both realize that this is a steal. The boy and his abilities to Thrones, restored. In exchange the real Excalibur. That is the deal I offer." Samhain said a he began to write in mid air, suddenly the words seeming to scratch the air like a dagger through flesh. The letters were an eerie sea foam green color that glowed. It sounded almost like there were whispers coming from them. When he was finished his speed writing he rolled his wrist, flourishing his hand as the letters seemed to pull in and warp the perception around them before the light bled out and formed a rectangle. Once perfectly formed the light dimmed down, revealing nothing less than a piece of parchment with the terms of the deal and a place for Chelle to sign.

"This is a contract. It binds us to do as we've said. I find many question an Eldritch's loyalties...so to ensure I uphold my end of the bargain I shall preform my end first. Then you preform yours. Failure to comply with your end of the bargain is met by the resetting of my end to the current status quo. Failure to complete this deal by sheer hubris; or refusal to do so on EITHER side, both you and me dearie, results in the resetting of the deal to the status quo and the party whom refused loses the thing they love most until such time as the conditions of this arrangement are met..." Samhain placed the paper at the side table and lay the pen there beside it for the Queen of Thrones. He took a step back and sighed as he looked to Matthew and shook his head, turning back to Chelle as she no doubt had modifications or ends to tie up of a clerical nature.

Still have that pesky guilty conscious do you? Bah. It's just a boy. If you were going to end up with regret why did you do it? The voice refused to leave him alone. Samhain closed his eyes and perhaps the most genuine thing he could have ever said at this moment slipped through.

"This is necessary." of course he didn't say it to Chelle, but she likely heard. Of course that in may have just sealed his fate, as now Rochelle knew that he needed the blade just as desperately as he said, and that perhaps there was guilt in his mind. That could be manipulated for a better deal, be held over his head for any which reason she chose. Finally back to his normal self he opened his eyes and took in a deep breath, putting on his old smile and clearing his throat. "Clericals or amendments I assume?"
