Thorgron's Extra Characters Empty Thorgron's Extra Characters

Post by Thorgron July 10th 2015, 5:59 pm

This is a just a place for me to keep half finished character ideas, flesh out new ones and store ones that I cannot use at the moment because of my full roster. There is no need to do any mod work on any of these until they are posted individually as their own character application.

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.)
  Powers

Transformation: By smashing his fists together and speaking the words "Start The Lifeforge" Jeremy awakens Eterna and begins his transformation into The Eternal Golem.

The Eternal Golem: Once fully transformed Eterna stands eight feet tall and weighs somewhere around 10 tons. As Eterna, Jeremy has access to a certain number of special abilities.
  - Metallic Makeup: Eterna's body is made entirely of a living metallic element not known to exist anywhere else in the universe. It is incredibly solid, dense and durable. Extreme temperatures and massive force seem to do almost nothing in the way of harming or even scratching it. Because it's body is solid with this material, Eterna does not need to eat, drink, sleep or breathe to sustain itself as it has no organs. It also posses the unique property of being able to touch and interact with otherwise incorporeal or invisible forces.
  - Might of Eternity: Eterna is capable of unthinkable feats of strength. It is capable of lifting a locomotive engine and hurling it with great force with little effort.
  - It's Fast Too?: Eterna appears to be shaped in such a way that it that possess surprising speed and agility, especially for it's weight. At a dead sprint, Eterna can reach speeds around 300 miles per hour.

Eterna possesses the following abilities, however Jeremy has yet to unlock/discover them (future advancements)
  - Life Surge: Eterna unleashes a surge of pure lifeforce in an expanding sphere around itself. Anything living caught in the bubble is revitalized, rejuvenated and healed of any ailments from which it is suffering. Severe wounds will take some time to heal.
  - Touch of Life: If Eterna touches an inanimate object or surface with it's hand it can animate the object under it's control. This can range from simply moving it in space, to creating an animate golem from the material.
  - Golem Canon: At will Eterna can retract one or both of it's hands into the outer casing of it's forearms. In this form the entire forearm becomes a canon capable of firing concentrated blasts of pure energy. Both canons can also be united to create a canon capable of firing the same energy as a continuous beam.
  Weakness(es)

Human: While not transformed into Eterna, Jeremy is only as strong, fast, durable, etc. as a normal 12 year old human boy.

Transformation: If Jeremy is kept from performing either of the actions needed to become Eterna then the transformation cannot occur. So something as simple as having an arm restrained or covering his mouth renders him powerless.

Protector of Life: As Eterna, Jeremy cannot knowingly take an action that will harm an innocent. This is not only a moral restriction but a physical one. It is actually physically impossible for Eterna to do something that he knows will harm innocent bystanders. As an extension of this he cannot willingly kill.

The Legacy

   Personality:
"If you're going to go out, go in style." Alexander has been living those words for the better part of the past 700 years. A bit ironic then that he hasn't "gone out" or "bought the farm" in that time but we'll get to that later. At surface value, this is a man of luxury, clothed in the finest, if not a bit strange garments and adorned with an array glimmering trinkets and hospitable to most who should wish to indulge in his curiosities. He is known in secret circles for his lavish appetite for bizarre delicacies from across the globe, the more steeped in backwards superstition the better. Blood however is his forte, incorporating it into all aspects of his life possible. Dyes, polishes, seasonings, even entire meals he'll design around his sanguine obsession. This is where we get to the heart of the once-man Alexander Castillian. Ah, so you caught that. Well before you ask no, he is no vampire. It would be nice to say that he is and separate his black soul from the collective of humanity. I wish that I could tell you that his obsession with the blood came from some unholy hunger, something he couldn't hope to control. But that is not the truth. No, Alexander was one of us, living, breathing, feeling, innocent, human. What he has become, that I can't speak to. He is for all intents and purposes, human, flesh and soul. So why then make this claim of something more for the man? He is a dark being, capable of the most atrocious things, removed from the freedom that the usual psychoses bring. Sanity, clear-headedness and the full and well knowledge that the things he does are overtly wrong to the highest degree are at the root of his wickedness.      But dig deep down, down past all the blackness and you find the one piece of humanity the man has left. Ironically, its what pushed him inch by inch down a one way path to damnation. It was fear, the most deep seated primal instinct, our most sentient, human, fear of death that corrupted what was at the time a boy of 14. The year was 1347 and roughly a year ago The Plague had started its deadly sweep through Europe. Alexander was a boy then, average for the time which doesn’t say much for his quality of life. At 14 he was a man expected to work and plow the fields of his family as such. Compared to today's standards his life was cruel and demanding, but to Alexander it was life, it was good.

Field work was hard on him. His frame was one built for "women's work" as his father was unapologetic in pointing out. But Alexander knew that his family depended on his diligence at his task and so he performed it, however lackluster it was. Despite his shortcomings, he was well liked among his family and he enjoyed them in return. His poetic nature and humor won him admiration among his family and the young women of the village he grew up in. As his mother proclaimed, he could suit any woman around and they would gladly be his wife. Encouraging as that was, Alexander had his eyes set on one very special individual. Her name was Marina. She had long olden hair and the creamy complexion of royalty. She was the beautiful maiden he would take for his wife. Tragedy however, had a way of finding the boy it seemed. That same year, The Plague entered their village. Death swept over the poor men and women like a dark cloud. For the Castillians, the loss was slow and painful. First was his mother.

One day after returning from the market, Alexander's father noticed the telltale black welt under her arm. Fearing that she would be shunned from the community, her husband looked her away in their home, insisting that they pray over her for her survival and keep her safe from the mobs burning bodies in the streets. But despite their urgings and the best of the day's medicine, which again was not saying much, his father saw the end in sight. Alexander's mother had struggled with the disease for six days and nights, almost double the expected life span of a Plague victim. On the sixth night, his father entered the chamber of his wife death bed and lay there with her until morning. He could not bear to lose her without saying goodbye. That morning when Alexander went to awaken his father, he was greeted by the pale and diseased corpse of his mother embraced in ignorant sleep by his father. It was horrific, even for a time when death was so prominent, it terrified the boy. But as with all things, life had to go on and they buried her that afternoon.

As I said though, tragedy had a way of finding the boy. That very same night, Alexander's father fell ill. Having seen the struggle and the pain of his wife he knew he had but one option. He went to Alexander at his ad spoke to him of responsibility, of his duty as a man. The young Alexander knew what it meant and begged his father not to go. There was no reasoning with him. Raising from the bedside, he marched into the street and gave himself over to the zealous mobs so eager to burn the dead and the living to prevent further death. Alexander dragged behind him, hands clinging to his feet to the very end.

At this point, only Alexander and his younger sister remained. As he had never been much of a field hand he struggled to turn the soil like his father and his sister never got the chance to die of plague like her parents. Instead she suffered a death of slow starvation, her brother barely able to provide for himself let alone her. He watched for months as her form whittled away to a bare skeleton against the back drop of a Plague from hell.

Reality Perception:

Weakness(es)

The plank in your own eye: Dr. Knowhere's realty perception has one glaring blind spot, himself. Though he can discern the harsh truths about the rest of reality he is completely blind to his own. This means that mentally he can become his own worst enemy, spiraling into self-propelled bouts of existential depression or second guessing his own actions. It's ironic, he is keyed in to everyone else's short comings but his own, making him even more susceptible to them than the average person.

A life without lies: This might seem like some ridiculous and amazing ability but I want you to think about what this actually means for a second. No one could ever lie to you, well they could, but you would know that they were lying and the truth behind the lie. Imagine every day knowing that friends, family members, loved ones all of them were hiding things from you, from each other and from themselves. Lies are so ingrained in our minds that sometimes we don't even realize we're doing it but now imagine that the curtain is pulled away, every attempted deceit revealed to you. This is Dr. Knowhere's every waking moment. Because of this, he has trouble keeping ties with people. It is extremely hard to become close with someone when you know just how much they keep from you and tell you just to make you happy. He can hold no delusions in his mind about anyone. The emotional pain from it can at times be almost unbearable for Nathan.

Magic Wand: All but one of Dr. Knowhere's powers come to him like breathing or keeping his heart beating. They happen automatically without him ever needing to put so much as a thought to them. But his portals, they're a different story. These tricky little buggers do not just appear for Dr. Knowhere wherever and however he pleases, instead they require focus, a way to channel in his concentration. To do this he focuses on his cane. The cane itself has no magical properties and is no more special than any other cane you could pick up at a store. But, Dr. Knowhere requires it to generate his portals. So long as he has it, all his well. All he has to do is point, circle, twirl, whatever he so desires really with the cane and a portal will appear where he desires. But, deprive him of his cane (or other similarly shaped and sized object) and the ability becomes almost impossible for him to use. It is a crutch that Dr. Knowhere has yet to figure out how to overcome.

I feel like I'm invisible: Ah yet another misunderstood ability. You would think that being invisible would be wonderful...except when you can't turn it off. Because of his invisibility Dr. Knowhere has no ability to make gestures using his hands. Gloves may be useful for this but then you cripple your own sense of touch. Being invisible also means that his facial expressions cannot be read. With the majority of human communication happening with facial features and body language, this creates a further disconnect between Dr. Knowhere and the rest of the human world. It is very easy for him to be misunderstood in even simple conversation. Taken even further are the little things that come with being unseen. People stare at Nathan when he crosses the street. I'll admit not the most horrible thing ever but after awhile it begins to hurt (especially when you can perceive the discrimination in the people around you). There is also the fact that he has not been directly looked in the eyes sense gaining his powers. Again, that might not sound horrible but it creates yet a further disconnect between himself and the general populace. "But they can see his glasses can't they, why don't people just look there?" you might be thinking. When someone looks at his glasses they are still looking through Nathan at whatever is behind him. To demonstrate what I mean, try having a conversation with someone looking just above or below one of your eyes instead of into them. You will see how this sort of thing could play on someone's nerves very quickly, especially when this happens with every person you talk to.

Glass Jaw: So, you can't fry him with lasers, shoot him with bullets or throw the kitchen sink at him...how exactly do you hurt this guy? Well there is one thing that he cannot absorb into his pocket dimension, living things. That's right, Dr. Knowhere could take on a direct shot from a tank but if any old idiot threw a good ol' one-two at his head he'd be just as staggered as the rest of us. Yes the wanderer is very vulnerable, able to be hurt by anything working as an extension of someone's body. So something like getting hit with a baseball bat in the hands of someone or a car with someone inside driving it work just fine to incapacitate and even kill Dr. Knowhere.

All part of the job: Dr. Knowhere might not be an actual doctor, but the glasses are not to just make people think he's smarter. He is in fact nearsighted and requires the use of prescription glasses to make out any discernible detail more than a few feet in front of him. Contacts do not seem to have any effect on improving his vision either, forcing him to where glasses. Not only does this mean that having his glasses knocked off could render him nearly blind but it means that even if he wanted to, he could not take advantage of his invisibility by removing his clothes as the glasses would have to stay.

Permission based...but for real: Dr. Knowhere is completely incapable of pulling someone into his pocket dimension via a portal without their consent. So, if he wants to save someone by portaling them out of harms way, they must either ask him to use the ability or respond affirmatively to his asking permission. This has to happen every time he wishes to pull someone into a portal. Without the person's permission the portal may be created and other objects may move in and out of it but that individual may not pass through to the pocket dimension until their consent is given. If it is not, they will either move through or over the portal as though it was not their. Essentially, no one accidentally or unintentionally moves into Dr. Knowhere's pocket dimension.

RP Mechanics

RP Mechanic(s): His invisibility is a visual aesthetic for the character, nothing more and will not be used for purposes of camouflage or hiding in plain sight.

  Amalgaman
Please don't call us that, at least twenty of us are female...

Basic Biography

  Real Name: The 77
  Renegade/Hero/Villain Name: "Amalgaman"
Alignment: Ranging from LG to CE
Age: Ranging from 15 to 85
  Gender: Appears Male
  Race: Altered Human

The Legacy

  Personality:
The personality of Amalgaman is a mixed bag, literally. With the minds and memories of 77 different individuals, you never truly know who you are going to get.
  History:
To list the histories of all 77 individuals that now make up Amalgaman would be an exercise in futility. Instead here will be the story of the event that created the poor tortured creature.

The Powers and Weaknesses

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.)
  Powers

Amalgamation: The 77 have the unique ability of being able to incorporate anything into itself and to incorporate itself into anything. As an example if if The 77 were standing on a slab of concrete they could either become an animate concrete man or disperse their form into the concrete slab itself. This ability applies to both matter and energy and can be done to either part or all of the body.

  Weakness(es)

One or the Other: Fairly simple, The 77 can either become an animate version of the amalgamated substance OR become one with said substance, never both. In other words, if The 77 decide to become one with the concrete slab, the slab does not become capable of movement or gain any properties that a concrete slab does not normally possess.

Equal Exchange: If The 77 wants to become entirely made of a substance, they must be in contact with an equivalent amount of that substance, otherwise they will only incorporate what is available. Conversely, they cannot incorporate fully into a substance that is not of at least equal mass to themselves.

Who Am I?: 77 different people make up the being known as Amalgaman. That's 77 individual minds crammed into a single body fighting for control. Most have banded together to at least try to live a semi normal life but others are not as cooperative. Some inside Amalgaman wish only for the torture of their existence to end and for the sweet relief that only death can bring them now. Others want to help people, to play the hero like the people on the news. A select few want to see the world burn and to use their new powers to wreak unopposed havoc on the world but the majority want none of this. They want to be left alone and to go back to life the way it was, simple, powerless, without being crammed into a room full of 76 other people all vying for control. Because of all of this Amalgaman is just as likely to be the man trying to rob a bank as he is trying to prevent the robbery, he could even be both. This leads to serious conflict, both within himself and with the outside world.

Yes you can have my autograph. No, I won't take you're soul in return. Do I look like some kind of stuck up celebrity?

Basic Biography

  Age: Unknown

  Race: Crossroads Demon
  Hair: Black
  Eyes: Yellow-White (no iris)
  Height: 6'3
  Weight: 418

The Looks

Jackson may be heavy but he is built deceptively lean. His musclar body is stretched tight over a thin frame, concealing his natural strength. While he appears mostly humanoid, his large horns curved up and over his head, hollow eyes and deep red skin betray his demonic heritage. Thick tufts of perfectly trimmed smooth obsidian black hair trace his jawline from just below his ears and ending in a wide point out from his chin. The hair on top of his head is of the same color but stretches down to his shoulders at the sides and just between his shoulder blades in the back. He has the plainly handsome face of an average joe and usually wears a surprisingly innocent smile. His attire is usually very simple, jeans in various states of disrepair with boots in similar states of disrepair. If he wears anything on his torso, it is usually a best of some sorts, usually made of hand crafted leather in shades from light brown to dark black. His wrists and ears are constantly adorned Ina wide assortment of ever changing trinkets and knickknack of clashing styles.

The Legacy

  Personality:
To put it simply, were it not for his appearance, you'd never know this guy was a demon. He is pleasant, friendly and generally laid back if not a tiny bit mischievous. He has little desire for conflict or conquest, instead focusing most of his attention towards music.

  History:
Listen, Jackson's origins really aren't all that important. In case you're wondering, yes he is a demon, not a metahuman with demon-like appearance or power. And yes he's from Hell, one of the many realms that give themselves that distinction. Now along the lines of being a demon, Jackson is a very specific type, a crossroads demon. These are the guys that make deals, buy souls, that whole racket. It's a job of varying prestige and respect in the hell realms. In this tegard Jackson is of some contention as a crossroads demon. Due to his unorthodox means he tends to either be loved or hated by other demons, there's really no middle ground. But one thing that he always is, is respected. You see despite being unorthodox, Jackson is one of the if not the most successful of his kind, an accomplishment he accredits entirely to his use of music.

And let's talk about his music a bit. Jackson takes extreme pride in his musical abilities and is an avid consumer of all things musical. It is his life his prime focus, so much so that he all but neglects his active duties as a crossroads demon. That may seem contradictory but to him it couldn't make more sense. Instead of going out to others and tempting them, all he has to do is play and draw them in. He doesn't have to, nor does he generally want to try at gaining souls. All he wants to do is enjoy life. After all, isn't that what brings demon is supposed to be about? Enjoying things too such total excess that you neglect basic functions? Jackson certainly thinks so. The orderly business of contracts and rules can be left to the Angels.

Thisbis something that has only become easier with time, enjoying himself that is. You see in the old days people were obviously suspicious of a big horned demon walking around. When tempting the likes of Tommy Johnson or Johny he had to either get them secluded or disguise his initial appearance to get close to them. But with a little influence that eventually wasn't the case. Eventually rock and roll was born and soon after metahumans began to emerge. The two collided in a perfect storm for Jackson. Suddenly he didn't even need to disguise his appearance to walk among people. Hell even other demons walked around unhindered in the world. So it was time for him to get out and do what he loved, play music. In the years following his emergence into the mainstream world Jackson has made quite a splash. He is ever growing in his popularity for both his musical talent and his down to earth attitude and approach to his fans. And he could not be happier to be shirking his duties.

The Legacy

Personality:
Gabriel has a restless mind. Constantly thinking, constantly, needing to be doing something and he is most happy when all of his attention is required for a task. He's the guy that zeroes in on a problem or a project and just lets the rest of the world fade away around him. When, he's not working on something he gets fidgety and nervous.

History:
Gabe had always been a bright kid. From the time he was little his parents knew this. Math came to him easily, especially real world math, the kind of stuff you could see and interact with. As a young child his parents expected relatively big things of their little angel, he had the brains to do whatever he set his mind to after all. It was an opportunity that neither of them had ever had in life. Not that they were dumb, but they knew that their son could rise higher in the ranks than they could. After all, both of his parents worked in physical labor, they earned enough to get by and provide for the family but life was never easy.

So when Gabe started coming home with D's and failing grades in middle school, his parents knew that something was up. He should have been out performing half the class, not struggling to just get by. What was the matter? Well, a few parent teacher conferences and a meeting with the school principle were very enlightening on the subject. Turned out little Gabe was a trouble maker, a class clown. Night after night when he'd come home assuring his parents that he had no homework began to make a lot of sense now. When confronted about his behavior, he would tell his parents simply that he was bored by school. The things they had him doing were so easy that there was no point in doing them. And when they'd force him to and tell him he was a failure because he hadn't performed the assignment he'd lash out, cause trouble. If they were gonna make his life hell, he'd do the same right back.

Unfortunately his parents couldn't afford to send him to a private school where he would be better challenged and had to try their best to keep him on the "right path" in his studies. It never worked. And as he got older his behavior became worse and worse. Slaps on the wrist became detentions became suspensions. By the time he was sixteen Gabe had been expelled for threatening a teacher who had called him stupid. Obviously his parents were heartbroken. Their son who had started life with so much potential was throwing it away for nothing. his father decided that if he wasn't going to be in school then his only other option was to be put to work. After all, their family struggled financially, it was time Gabe pulled his own weight. So he was hired on at his father's autobody shop. He was instantly in love.

Once more Gabe began to showcase the intelligence his parents had always seen in him. This was real work, real problems to solve and he loved every second of it. By the time he was 18 Gabe was practically running the shop. People were constantly coming in, asking for him specifically to work on their vehicle. Especially the custom jobs. If you wanted it done, Gabe would figure out how to do it. But fortune it seemed would not be in the cards for his family. Around his 19th birthday, his father fell ill. A brain tumor the size of a golf ball was quickly killing him. Without his dad to run the business end of the shop, his family quickly fell back in to poverty. That of course made his medical bills all the more damaging to their fragile economic situation. They ended up selling the garage to help pay for things, but it was only a temporary fix. And once again Gabriel was left idle. Bored and frightened, he began to try to think of a way to help his struggling family. Crime, as it was, was the most appealing option.

Theft more specifically, and just like work in his dad's garage, he was a natural at it. His small build and natural intellect meant he could find holes in security and exploit them. Granted nothing he ever pulled was a major job at this point, but he was still hauling in some considerable cash. And every week he'd take that money back to his mother. If she asked him where it came from, he'd of course lie, telling her that he was selling things for a friend, or he was working on an online business. She knew he wasn't being truthful, but as far as she was concerned, at least he was staying busy and they were staying afloat.

For two years this went on
