Re: An Interrupted Heist (Travis Masters)

Travis seemed to take slight issue in the way that Dissonance spoke, confused that terror could be spread only one way and thinking that there must be blame laid both ways in such a scenario.
"Hm.. My friend, terror is a matter of perspective. Human's would claim us terrorists that is for sure, but that is only through their own fear any action taken for the advancement of our kind is entirely necessary, thus not designed simply to incite terror. It is true that Meta's have not always acted accordingly and as with anything there are always rules that will be broken, however it is a simple an act of evolution. We are at a turning point where Meta-humanity is starting to flourish yet for a first time in history to survive we do not have to wipe out Humanity entirely. They simply must realise that we are genetically superior and should be treated as such, allowed to rule over them. Their resistance to change is what compels them to unnecessary acts of 'Terror'."

Dissonance leaned back in his chair allowing the man to once again speak, Johnny copied the motion appearing to almost idolise Dissonance having hung on his every word. Travis again began to speak of reward to which Dissonance was not particularly interested. Yet as always he carried himself politely when denying the mans offer.
"I am of course pleased that i managed to help your company in the course of my actions and maybe in the future should occasion present itself we could call each other allies. After all i feel we share a cause you and i. We fight for the future. For Evolution."
Sitting again forward in his chair he said to Travis.
"As for reward i have no particular desire, simply that i may escort these young men out of here and to safety where i can help them in the world," he looked directly to the man and said with a grin, "Unless your factory happens to make hands as well" He let out a small chuckle as he held up the bandaged appendage, which had still not fully recovered from the battle he had lost it in.

Travis could have stated that he was also genetically superior and that he should have been treated as such, yet he would avoid that for now. Instead he would sit there calmly and keep the smirk upon his lips, nodding and hmming as if everything he was saying was interesting. His attention was turned towards the hand directed at him and he could not help but chuckle.”I could grow you a hand, and then graft it to the stump if that is your desire.” Travis would offer, looking to Jason who was now playing around with an app on his tablet, perhaps cute almost in how innocent he appeared. ”I could not have the evolutionary elite going without their limbs.”

Travis made a small quip about Dissonance's hand and for a second he thought that he heard a touch of animosity from the boy. He had yet to make any judgements on the boy's race as he did not know enough about them and was not prone to snap decisions without information.
"Ha, no it is fine," he retorted "As pleasant as that sounds.. In the time since losing it i have realised how little value it really contained for me. When you are capable of such extraordinary things i find that the mundane lose interest."

As the small talk continued the Technopath boy had produced a phone from one of his pockets and was playing about on it doing a lot of things. Johnny had been disconnected from the conversation for a while and so was watching intently over the boy's shoulder attempting to see if there was anything at all interesting going on. However, being a Technopath he was using the device in a way that Johnny would never be able to read or comprehend any of the numbers and words that were appearing on the screen. The dark haired boy simply sat and smirked to himself as the numbers rushed past the screen. Johnny began to feel nervous which was made noticeable by minor appearance changes, the most prominent being a change in the boys iris's which had shifted from their original green to a very pale shade of grey. He attempted to get Dissonance's attention, but the man was still distracted and so he just sat there helplessly.

The Technopath had always known he was value to the group whom he had been working with and had always been made to feel it. This occasion was no exception as he was being told of their plans to 'Rescue' him. He received a final message and put his phone back into his pocket.

We're moving now. Cover your ears, we brought the C4.

Travis shrugged slightly, not really concerned with the whole male denying the chance to have his hand back. If they wished to go about maimed that was their business, and who was he to allow the evolutionary superior to do as they wished, even if they chose to be maimed. Still, he kept the air of pleasantness about him, yet he was more than ready to kill if the need arose and something told him they would not be able to stop him if he really wanted to do something like that. Grey orbs would dart to the male playing around with his phone, not that they would be hiding anything from Travis, as he would filter any message through EVE before they moved out, but the process within itself was so seamless not even a technopath could notice.

”Interesting, well if that is your choice then I cannot make you do otherwise. I’m sure someone as evolutionarily advanced as you can do fine with a few missing body parts.” His voice held no real malice or even sarcasm at this point, it was a normal and partially flat tone. Holding up a hand, he would beckon the cellphone that the technopath was typing into to him, letting it meet his palm and looking to it. ”Interesting however, seems humanity isn’t quite done playing around with their favorite toys. However I don’t appreciate anyone bombing my property.” He noted with an annoyed sigh, looking up to the male that had been holding the cellphone, giving a small thought as the phone would crumple in upon itself from an invisible force.

”They will be no problem however, we have more capable people to deal with these humans and their toys.” While metahumans had great potential for power, it was his race that he could predict as far as powers. Even the weakest of them were capable, none had worthless powers and all were physically superior to even metahuman kind. If metahumans were naturally the next step, then man had one upped nature and its travesty of evolution.
