Dragon Girl in her Natural Habitat

Epsilon Sigma Tau rushes out of the crossfire, taking cover behind one of the ramparts built to prevent the flooding of the river from destroying the town. Looking down the barrel of the weapon that is too large for Epsilon to handle easily... He braces the Sonic Rifle on top of the stone barricade and pulls the trigger once, sending one of the devastating sonic pulses toward the most deadly squadron of the chitin covered alien creations. The Yrsek try their hardest to make their soldiers utterly identical, but their method is imperfect. Their soldiers have slight differences in their skill levels, and Epsilon's perfect memory has recorded the hits and misses of each soldier. The most successful one is his first target.

The rifle gives a major kickback, causing a ton of painful strain on his already wounded shoulder. The bolt is aimed at the Lobster-man's thorax, and if it hits where Epsilon hopes that it does, it will destroy almost all of the cybernetic equipment located within its body and heavily damage all internal organs in the path of the sonic bolt

Epsilon would find the use of the weapon to be a bit different from conventional 'shooting' weapons, as pulling the trigger once did nothing save to briefly charge it up. If the trigger was held down though, it would emit the destructive, sustained sonic beam that caused his target to seize up violently, rocking back and forth before the lobsterman collapsed, his insides liquefied while his chitin shattered. These Gene-Vaders had terribly powerful weapons, and they were as vulnerable to them as the humans were.

The slain lobsterman's squad mates react by changing targets, taking cover behind abandoned truck and now were hell bent on Epsilon. One of them immediately tosses a sonic pulsar grenade Epsilon's way,then moves in to pin him with suppressive fire, while his fellow goes around the far side to flank him.

The Command Platform careened out of control and crashed into a house. Meanwhile the Cruiser brought its main guns around to face Xia. The dragon girl penetrates the defensive field easily, meant to deflect high velocity projectiles and such, but defenseless against a being passing through. Its defensive lasers fire but Xia powers through them; once she tore out one of the cruiser's guns, she slips inside to wreak bloody havoc as well. The battle was quickly turning against the Aliens.

The two lobsters commit to a course of action that is almost textbook, one suppresses and the other flanks... while a grenade is tossed to flush out the target.

Epsilon sees the toss, and calculates the trajectory of the projectile and figures out the optimal pattern of defense. The pulsar is supposed to land directly beside Epsilon, and he determines the perfect moment to strike. Spinning the weapon end over end, his pale white hands grip the weapon barrel and swings with all his might.

A sharp clang, metal striking metal is the sound that rings out. And the sonic device of destruction is redirected towards the flanking creature. Spinning the weapon back and over his shoulder, he rolls away from his previous position quickly, getting even more distance between himself and the soon to be detonating weapon.

The Lobsterman looks at the grenade falling at his feet. He quickly aims his sonic rifle at it, and mostly negated its lethal blast. However, he was sent flying backwards, while everything else in a five foot radius was very neatly vaporized.

The other Lobsterman opened fire on Epsilon's cover, the concrete crumbling like a cookie so fast. Epsilon would've been pulled in one more second were it not for a sticky fireball that lodges itself onto the sonic rifle, causing it to explode violently and send the lobsterman flat on the ground.

The fireball came from a child made of fire and magma; the children that Xia had liberated! A Bear Boy wrestled the lobsterman into submission, his metal-skinned friend holding the lobster's giant claw in an arm lock.

The children moved to Epsilon to aid him as well. The girl who was last on board touched his hand."Thank you and the dragon girl for saving us!" She said, speaking Epsilon's language perfectly after a few seconds of holding his hand. She then proceeds to use her psychic powers to chuck a large boulder towards the remaining Lobstermen, after having driven off the Chinese Army. Little wonder indeed that the Gene-vaders wanted these metahuman children's powers.

The Escort Cruiser exploded in several places from the inside, and was eventually on a collision course with the side of the mountain. Xia emerged from one of the holes in the ship glided down to where Epsi was, the Alien Ship making a massive explosion that flattened alot of trees on the cliff face and sent a strong gust of wind towards the children.

Xia's mother slowly emerged from her hiding place, coming face to face with her daughter.

Nearby, the Command Platform that crashed flickered on and off with energy.

"Come with me small one, I must recover artifacts from the platform" Epsilon says and makes his way through the debris of the crash site... Picking his way through the broken pieces of metal and forced up chunks of earth.

Climbing through the broken pieces of twisted metal and drooping cables, Epsilon slips through a rent in the ships hull and manages to slide inside.

While Xia and her mother reconcile near their house, and the boys celebrate over the fallen lobstermen, the little telepath/telekinetic girl assists Epsilon thinking he was referring to her. She crumples the insides of the alien ship to let them get through.

Lobstermen Crew laid scattered about, broken and defeated. The ship's systems were in critical condition as the interior was completely torn apart by Xia's rampage, her claw marks everywhere, tearing up the alien alloys like paper.

At the far end was the command module, and the hologram of the hooded one, the true Gene-Vaders. Adorned in regal red and gold robes, standing tall and slender, It looked at Epsilon and the Mind girl from within the darkness of its cowl, expressing nothing.

"...You... So the Long War has finally come to this planet." It spoke ominously to him in the language both races understood. The girl whimpered and held Epsilon's hand tightly; though the Command Communication Module still worked, it reached out with its mind and spoke telepathically, many hundreds of voices but possessing one will.
