Welcome Home (Closed to Titan) Empty Welcome Home (Closed to Titan)

Post by Zell September 6th 2013, 2:49 am

On the first day, God created the heavens and the Earth. On The Second day, he created the sea and the skies. On the third day he created the land and vegetation. On the Fourth day the sun, the stars, and the moon were created by His hand. On the Fifth day he filled the world with creatures, both big and small to inhabit the lands. On the Sixth day, he created Man, and from him, woman. The seventh day was a day of rest, not for him but for his creation. It’s a story that brings up many questions, makes one curious. But…there was but one question Ouroboros had…

”What the Hell took Him so long?”

Ouroboros looked over the island he had created, and formed from seemingly nothing. The Lands were vast, and divided ever so carefully in accordance to the will of Ouroboros. First was the miles of desert, known only as Death’s embrace, for all who came to the island would need step foot on the sands. But even for the few whom stepped onto the sands…even fewer ever stepped from them. Next was a place known as The Fringe, a place of grand Ethereal fire, a living testimony to the cycle of life and Death. By night it burned and faded away, and it would all regrow again by day. This would only continue, for now and forever more.

Then there were the more complex places, The Veil, the Shrine, The Ruins, The Frost. They were all locations upon the map of this isle. It was almost scary to think that he was able to accomplish this on a three day time limit. Of course Ouroboros was, if nothing else, impressive in his own mysterious ways. Not long ago, Sean and he had gone their separate ways, Ouroboros requesting three days, or 72 hours. He was “granted” his time, although it was not as if the Titan had much say in the grander scheme of things. Ouroboros had seventy two hours to complete the mission he sought to do…to do this. He had singlehandedly expanded and restructured an entire island to his will. He had expected it to take longer…he was wrong. Here we were twenty nine hours later and the Island was in its finishing stages. They were creating the Palace where Ouroboros and his chosen few would be safe. In the span of thirty hours, Ouroboros had easily created his own island, with its own unique wildlife, and its own climates, and its own unique energies.

In thirty hours, Ouroboros did what God himself had done in the span of three days. That’s neglecting the thousands of years he bypassed of evolution. Ouroboros sat on the one construct that existed before his influence. It existed back when he was ‘born’ on the island, and it would exist forever, if Ouro had his way. The large tower, Ouro was at the top, where it seemed as though he could touch the heavens. The Orb in his hands he allowed his Ethereal energy to flow from him, feeling like a warm stream of power caressed his skin and flowed from his fingertips out onto the top of the tower. The land was remade in his image, the world twisted and contorted upon a whim, and without any though everything could change. His imagination was his only limit, and for a man such as Ouro, imagination was never a limiter. For the first time, Ouroboros knew what it meant to tap into his true power. He created life, ended life, altered the world around him, simply because he breathed. But this was all senseless to him. Simply because he could command such power did not mean that e should forsake all to pursue this power.

Ouroboros ceased. He stood and walked to the edge of the tower, a stone cold stare out into the wondrous land that had been birthed from his very power. He smirked, looking it over, as if he could see every single detail from his current position. With a smile he decided that it was good. But alas it was not yet complete. While Ouroboros had brought thirty seven meta humans with him from the meta-human Hell, as well as his ever faithful servant, Zakaken. This was not enough. No, he needed more. What better way to get more followers than to make them? With the simple will power, Ouro used the orb to channel his energies once more, and with the influence of Ethereal energy, he created others like him…much weaker, but still similar enough for him to be accepted, to be revered. He smiled at this, and he realized that what he had done was good, and it was worthy of praise. With one impulse, he jumped form the ground, diving for the earth below. He felt the air cutting around him, burning him as he descended. With a sudden empowering energy, he harnessed his powers, and seven large wings of pure Ethereal energy spawned form his back with elegant and beautiful designs, humming and flowing with exotic energy. With a sudden thrust, he flew with speeds he had never reached before, and made his way towards the last construct he had made. The Black Castle, Valhalla. (+2 Flight +2 Speed). However before he arrived there, he knew already that this was not nearly an accomplishment, not yet. The Victory was missing something, something…with a bit of an edge. Ouroboros looked over in the other direction. And he quickly flew off.

He would not allow this victory to go unsung, or unshared. No, Ouro wanted one other to see this, to see what all he had accomplished. He had almost locked onto the energy he was after, in truth his senses fixated on the powers and had never left, not since thirty hours ago. He would make his way to the United States, the pathetic construct of human integrity. Now seeing the beauty of the lands he had made, all else in comparison was sickening. The Homeless…the poor and the weak. The sickness and the all of the social untouchables. If Ouroboros had is way He’d be out of here within the hour.

Ouroboros quickly found Sean, suppressing his powers as to not alert the Titan, until it was too late. Ouro’s arms wrapped around the Titan’s waist and the seven ethereal draconian wings furled up, as if enveloping Sean. Ouro no longer suppressed his energy, letting it flow out as he nipped Sean’s ear lobe and chuckled.

”Thirty one hours…not bad…a little less than half the time huh?” Ouro said with a sly smirk.

Sean took a deep breath of the air in Los Angeles, drinking in the richness of it, perhaps enjoying himself for the first time in a long time. He could feel everyone around him, their bodies steadily producing Nether at a rate that was insubstantial on its own but kept him in a certain euphoric state that caused his body to tingle. So many people in one area would only produce more Nether, and that meant that he would only feel its taunting brush against his skin, though something else was on his mind. His own energy danced about, crackling in the air as he walked across the crisp green grass of the park, and each blade died as he did so. His energy would drain them dry, it would force them to yield their life and offer him their death.

Sean took it in, the Nether that came from them with a deep inhale, as the energy became a part of him, and only fueled his life force. Like all things, Titans grew from somethings death, only they were more direct on that equation. Others of his race had not come to contact him yet, and that meant they were likely biding their time, until all was ready for the coming king. It was likely that people would come across this scene of death and wonder what blight had caused this, but he would not be there to take credit. Something within him was different, as if he had a purpose, a method to the madness that now coursed through his mind. The homeless would peer from their corners, and crawl back in when they saw the male that reeked of death. Sean was reminded that humanity was weak, and that they needed the equality that The Abyss would bring them. In his current apparel Sean looked like a punk, with ragged jeans, graphic tee and the zip up hoodie to tie it all in. His tattoos added to that image, but The Titan cared little for what humans thought.

In the end, he would show them that death was not evil, that there was evil but death itself was beautiful. A little girl, dirty, and perhaps cold would look at him with innocent eyes. Why she was out here this late at night was unknown, but then again perhaps it was just as hard on her as the other homeless humans in the area. Sean would shoot her a wry smirk, perhaps to unnerve her, but she only returned the expression before seeming to run back to her small little fire. It was this section of the city, where there was more decay it seemed than anything, even with that lush green park not too far from here. Sean stepped into the darkness of the alleyway meagerly lit. He would watch from the shadows, simply watching humans doing what they did best, live.

One was sick, perhaps with a cold or the flu and they coughed violently. He could feel the Nether around them strongly, and soon enough they would die. If they were treated sooner, perhaps this would have been avoided, but Sean had no interest in that. He could have ended their misery then and there, but Sean had no interest in putting dogs down now. The Titan would back out and move on, perhaps letting them live for now. If anything would kill them it would be the condition that did, Sean had other things in mind for now, and larger prey as well. What he was going after now was unknown, but when Sean had it within his sight, he would know it. That was however when he heard something moving through the air, or rather something getting close but he wasn't fast enough to see what it was. He could feel no Nether from them, so it was no finite being.

Arms wrapped around his waist and wings unfurled to wrap around him as a familiar energy caressed him, as if happy to see him almost. His energy seemed to react accordingly with a certain happiness. His ear lobe was nipped at and Sean snickered to himself, a little pleased that Ouro was fourty one hours early, give or take an hour. ”Not bad at all.” he cooed with a wicked smirk. It seemed that the time had indeed come sooner than expected, and Sean could have not been happier.

Ouroboros let go of the Titan to turn him around, letting him see the seven wings of ethereal light and the glowing emerald orbs that were his eyes. Ouroboros smirked; he was rather pleased that his little friend was happy enough about his return, something that somehow stimulated Ouro into a sense of bliss and serenity. Ouroboros was indeed a happy creature at this moment, however he had come with a mission, and that mission was to show what he had created. He believed Sean to be the only creature capable of understanding the power that was taken in order to hastily construct an Island like that of the Ethereal Isle. Ouroboros’ seven wings folded all over his body, shifting from Draconian to angelic feathered. Soon the feathers solidified into a pale robe made of pure Ethereal energy.

”If you think the haste was good, wait until you see the craftsmanship.” Ouro said with a smile. He felt the ethereal energy dancing through the air, as he so wished to do. There was little doubt within his mind that this was the way things should be, however there was a part of him that was irritated, stirred up from the feeling of the Nether seeping from the Titan’s skin and onto his own. Ouro crouched down, leaning slightly forward with his left leg displaced back and his right knee to his chest. ”Grab on and hold tight.” Ouro prompted the Titan, his same smile on his face, but his eyes still watching the Titan’s every movement.

With the Titan latched on, Ouro went to the sky, soaring above the nimbus clouds of night and going as fast as he could in the direction from which he came. They flew on wing for about thirty minutes, Ouro striking up the occasional small talk. Remarking about being above the weather, occasionally being able to fly through a cloud and spin around. Ouroboros was rather enjoying himself, however as he flew over the sea, he was beginning to get a strange feeling, like he was being followed. Ouro looked over his shoulder, and sighed, seeing nothing. He did a total barrel roll, flipping the Titan in the process, Ouro flying upside down Sean able to look down at the water past Ouro’s face, which was at complete peace at the moment with his eyes closed. While his wings did not change at all, they seemed to just as effectively allow him to move through air. Suddenly in mid flight the perfect being’s eyes shot open, a spark of Ethereal energy shooting through his pupils. With a wink and a smirk Ouro turned over again under Sean, but still keeping him still so that Sean could see the large island, the one he had tripled in size and filled with life when it was at one time barren.

Ouroboros’ wings stopped flapping, and instead remained still, allowing them to glide with wind under wing. His wings, set by set began to furl around him, and slowly his head seemed to aim more and more for the land. Before anyone could have known really, Ouroboros initiated a dive-bomb position as he and Sean accelerated to the Ethereal Isle. As they reached the twenty yard mark, Ouro used his superior reflexes to roll forward, throwing Sean off him, but still managing to keep a grip on him. With that flip, Ouro channeled the momentum from their velocity and weight into his wings, and with a sudden thrust of all seven wins, They stopped, a foot form the ground, the force of the wind sending sand in every which direction. They were suddenly lowered slowly onto the ground into the soft warm sands.

”So…this island is what I was doing. I was planning on taking three days, but I couldn’t wait to see your ugly mug again.” Ouro teased with a mischievous look as he began to walk on. The area was barren, nothing but desert, the sky was a carmine color, red and deep. The moon was a pale blue color, and it seemed to dance with an odd energy, a response of the thick energy that corrupted the atmosphere. In the distance it could be seen that large arrow-headed worms with large bone spines spouting off in every direction were diving into the sands and swimming about. ”Sands of shattered hope, winds of writhing pain, and the desert of dreadful fate.” He said with a wicked grin, looking around, seeing the random bones of large animals and the like scattered about. It was obvious that this was a cruel and unforgiving wasteland, and this place was full of Death and despair. ”Welcome to Death’s Embrace”

Welcome Home (Closed to Titan) Empty Re: Welcome Home (Closed to Titan)

Post by Arcana September 7th 2013, 3:36 am

For a moment the perfect being let go of Sean, turning him around to see the draconic wings, wings that made him appear as fierce as a dragon. However calling him a dragon would be a disservice, seeing as he slew a dragon, of course with the help of the Titan, but the feat was still great. He infact could not help but grin, devious was the expression but it was a show of his mild pleasure in some way. However, those powerful wings folded over him, and Sean could feel the change in them as they shifted form into something more becoming of the energy that flowed through him. Now he was an angelic being, one that floated upon the wings that the creatures were known for, and the prospect itself was intoxicating to say the least. An angel had appeared before what many would call a demon, and he showed no fear, or disgust but perhaps an interest that could only be described as.....Sean couldn't describe it without using a human term that was so misused.

”Craftsmanship? My interest is piqued now.” Sean raised a raven brow, his smirk becoming more of a genuine smile, pale pink lips curling ever so slightly. His Nether energy felt restless, as if it were happy to see the Ethereal being, moving ever so slowly to greet him with its cold and dark embrace, but Sean was unsure what his take upon the dark energy was. Sean wondered if enjoyed it as Sean enjoyed his energy or was it a nuisance? He mused over that with his mind, limited as it was compared to the blonde being before him. He was a puzzle, and one that Sean was fully intent on cracking before long, that is if such a feat were possible with the iron clad case that was Ouroborous. The angel that he had taken such painstaking efforts to obtain, and ones that he would not allow to go to waste, not when so much had been cast aside.

Ouro would crouch down and then he prompted the Titan to grab on, and that was what Sean did, gladly so. Such proximity was something that Sean enjoyed, his nether seeming to rise within him. He could feel the eyes upon him, and Sean didn't mind. The closeness was something that he loved, so he would simply enjoy it for now, arms wrapping around the Ethereal being as he took lift off. The night and all of its clouds would whip past them as they soared at a speed that Sean was not aware of Ouroborous being capable of, he was enjoying the feel of the wind kissing his skin as they sped along at incredible speeds. He would strike up small talk, perhaps trying to make the flight bearable, but Sean found it perfect already. Sean would oblige his small talk with some of his own as they kept flying.

He would perform some feats of aerial prowess, perhaps to try and wow The Titan, and he was indeed impressed. Sean had never flown before, so this being his first time was an eye opening experience. Below him was the crystal blue waters of the sea and above him the dark blue night sky kissed with the many stars that decorated it, all beautiful. Titans looked down upon humanity, but they loved the wonderful world that humans squandered. Yet, they were driven by a desire to expand The Abyss and destroy what the found beautiful, like so many lesser beings before them. Their's was a race that was caught in its own ways, much like humanity, but the stagnation existed before the hominid race of Earth. Soon enough they had arrived, Ouro performing a flip before lowering them on the warm sands of the island.

Sean stepped down on to the sand, feeling both warmth and the slight stench of death. This was what he had been planning to spend three days on, an island or was it a desert? Sean let his silver pools scan the horizon but all he saw was desert, as if it stretched on forever, and that was something that he was not prime to being forced to cross. Perhaps this whole island was what he had been working on, instead of this small section but Sean did not know that. Ouro would need to show him what exactly this was. He could see in the distance figures rising from the sands only to return to their depths, worms as they would seem. This was a dangerous place for those too weak to survive, but Sean was not weak, and neither was the blonde.

'Death's Embrace? A fitting name if i've ever heard one.” Sean said with a wry smirk, perhaps trying to ignore the comment about his mug, though he was aware of the jesting nature behind it. 'So far you can color me impressed, though I’m sure there is more than just simply a desert to your masterpiece.” If anything, he knew not to underestimate someone like Ouroborous, nor what he was capable of.

”I’m honestly glad you didn’t take me for an idiot as to be excited enough to be excited about this alone. The hardest part was making the worms…and that took five minutes if I recall.” Ouroboros said with a proud grin, proud but not arrogant. He began shifting through the sands, knowing exactly where they were going. And He led him through the desert to a small beautiful establishment. It was a mini town that surrounded a pool of water. Ouroboros introduced this place as an Oasis, and went on to explain that this place was one of four settlements in Death’s Embrace. ”This is where people who survive can stay, but if they weren’t worthy to get to the isle’s heart then they weren’t worthy…maybe one day I’ll give them the gift…but for now they can have this….it’s not easy here…the water makes it easier, and it’s stocked to keep what people need…but the Dune-maws will attack here if they get a wild hair across their ass.” Ouroboros said with a sigh as they walked past dozens of people walked out and watched them trek past the town.

Ouroboros would next bring him to a large area, where sand suddenly met lush soil and beautiful flowers. It was a forest that could only be described as beautiful and full of vibrant life. Ouro tugged on Sean’s sleeve and pulled him off to the side where he could show him the sun, which was setting. Ouro casually threw an arm over Sean and leaned on him a little. He pointed at the horizon and just innocently smiled and chuckled as he seemed to nestle into the Titan

”This is the Fringe…all this plant life grows during the day, when the sun is out and “life” can flourish.” Ouro explained, and with all of the vegetation around it was impressive to think that it was accomplished within twelve hours. He then turned his head and pointed to a flower, one that began to give off a mist as the sun went down. The sky began to darken, and darken, and suddenly all light vanished. They were in darkness for only a second, moonlight reflecting from the sand, giving a harsh chill. Ouro looked over to the Fringe, and he pecked the Titan on the cheek, the second he did that, almost as if timed, a large Ethereal fire ignited over the entire wild-life. The Vegetation, the oddly colored ethereal squirrels and the birds, all of them…they all burned to ash in virtually an instant. He smiled a little as he began to walk off towards the flames. His Ethereal wings all began to flap rapidly, warding the flames. The more the ethereal flames were warded off, the more clearly one could see that the Ethereal fire was actually the cause of several Ethereal Hellhounds. They looked to Ouro and Sean, but none would stop them in their passing. The walk through the Fringe was not nearly as long, but then again it was only because Ouro was leading the way, this large woods was a labyrinth, and while the large fire was helpful in clearing out the vegetation, it made it far more dangerous. Even more skeletons and half decayed bodies were present, the remains of the victims whom wandered into the Fringe and lost their way. While the bodies burned, Ouro and Sean emerged on the other side, a large dirt road that seemed to have no end.

”Shall we?” Ouro said with a mock sophistication as he began walking down the road.

Welcome Home (Closed to Titan) Empty Re: Welcome Home (Closed to Titan)

Post by Arcana September 7th 2013, 9:24 pm

It only took him five minutes to make the worms? Sean raised an eyebrow, perhaps a little incredulous at the Ethereal beings claim for a moment, but perhaps he was speaking truth. Sean still knew so little when it came to what Ouroborous was capable of, so that meant that so many things about him would surprise the Titan. He could see that the blonde was proud, proud of his work and that was perhaps endearing to him if nothing else. Sean would follow him across the desert sands, the worms still moving in the distance, perhaps as a sort of warning to all or something along those lines. He spoke of the Oasis town and how there were four of them, how the worms were always a threat here and how the people would live in that constant fear that they could attack, even in this place of brief respite.

They would walk past dozens of people, some of them looking at the duo but not giving them a second glance, though Sean wondered why. Perhaps beings like him were no as much of an oddity, or perhaps they just did not feel the energy that Sean gave off. They kept walking, until the desert gave way to a lush forest, and Ouro grabbed onto his sleeve and urged the Titan forward, as if there was something that he wanted to show Sean even more. Life filled the forest, so much that Sean felt himself grow dizzy for a moment, or was it the contact with Ouro? The Titan wondered for a moment, his mind racing over that quickly, silver pools scanning over the lush forest. This was the Fringe it seemed, where life was born instead of the endless sands that stretched out behind them, though Sean had a feeling there was a darker meaning behind this forest.

He spoke as if all of this had been created this within a days span, night not included of course. His attention was averted to one of the flowers that gave off a mist as the sun set down. In a moment they were cloaked in darkness as Sean liked it, a peck on the cheek was what he felt next, another jolt of that energy. Then came the flames, one thats devoured all of the plants as well as animals within the forest and so many lights of life went out at once, something that sent a primal glee through Sean, as if this were something that he were enjoying deeply inside. With his transcendent wings, Ouro would make a path within the flames that revealed the true culprits of the fire.

They looked at Sean and Ouro but made no moves to stop them, as if they were to be allowed to move forward by some kind of divine will. Sean however had an idea who the divine was and he was right next to the diminutive Titan. So he truly had control over this island, and that meant that Sean was perhaps safe from any threat, or at least safe from having to exert himself more than he had to. So the fire would part infront of them, and form a path that would lead them through The Fringe and onto the next section of this strange island that the Ethereal God had made up. Sean had wondered if perhaps he would be capable of performing such miracles, or if this was all through some kind of artifact instead of raw power itself. He saw so many bodies, half decayed and skeletal, all claimed by the fires.

”We shall.” Sean said with a similar tone following after Ouro.

Next stop was the directional change. Ouroboros had led Titan to a four way fork in their path, and he sat at the base of them and waited for Sean. Once there was a moment of rest, Ouroboros yawned. He looked over his shoulders at the path and brought his knees to his chest and looked up at Titan, one eye closed and a smirk on his face. He twisted his head, cracked his neck and chuckled a little.

”This is the Road of Revelation. This is the second safest part of the Isle. The only real danger here are my people. There are three places that you can go to from here. The Veil, The Ruins of Ragnarox, and The Soul Shrine. I’m going to take you to the Ruins of Ragnarox first, because I want to. That and it gives the best view.” Ouro said as he hopped up energetically and started walking off ahead of him, yet again. He found himself leading, but instead of running off too far away, he ended up stopping and letting Sean catch up those few steps. His hand wrapped around Sean’s wrist with an arched eyebrow as if questioning Sean what was taking him so long. ”So…I guess we’re at the point in the tour where I can take questions…anything on your mind? Oh, hold that a second. Need to hurry this along.” Ouroboros mused as he walked through the invisible threshold into the Ruins of Ragnarox.

The Ruins were of a small city, and in the center was a large, very large tower, one so high it would quite plausibly be thought to touch the heavens. Ouroboros gave Sean that Smile that they would have to walk, but this was not the case, in fact this was where his energy was wearing to it’s end. He wrapped his arms around Titan, and with a thrust of wink, they were flying high. The air in the atmosphere was weak, and the little atmosphere there was had a chilling burn to it. Ouro landed with Titan at the top of the tower, granting Sean a full view of the Isle, the secrets in the heart of the city being the exception. His wings began to flicker and they suddenly faded to nothingness. Ouroboros hummed, annoyed at his situation where hew cannot simply use his body as a conduit…like other Ethereal’s could. But to Ouro this was no issue. It was simply an obstacle. One he would overcome.

Ouro pointed out over the land, it was as if looking from a map. The vast deserts of Death’s Embrace, even the four little settlements of Oasis were small orbs of light, The Fringe was a massive ethereal scar upon the isle, and the Road of Revelation was darkened out by the night. Off in the distance, there was a large whole in the ground, one that Danced with purple energy, Dark Ethereal and Nether permeated the air, small traces of the overwhelming energy could still be sensed. Ouroboros was sent into a momentary bliss, total happiness as he seemed to inhale the energy from afar. He ended up turning and pointing out the pedestal in the center. There was an object…it looked like half of a sphere, and it radiated with pure crystallized Ethereal energy. Ouroboros let go of Titan, and proceeded over to the glorified object.

”Alright…sorry about earlier. I really didn’t feel like walking up all these stairs...” Ouro said as he removed the half a sphere from it’s resting place. He tossed the fragile looking hemi-sphere to Titan and walked over to the edge of the tower, sitting with legs dangled over the side. He patted the ground next to him. ”Enjoy the sights…odds are you’ll never need to come back…It’s quite a view….So…as I asked earlier…what’s on your mind there?” Ouro asked innocently enough. He yawned as he looked over the grand creation he had made.

Was there nothing he couldn’t do? If you were to ask him, the answer is no. It would always take time, but at his current rate, Godhood was sure to follow. It was only a matter of time. But currently he was distracted, once more it was this Titan character. Ouro found himself at peace around him. Complacent. Something inside him despised it. If he was complacent he was not moving, but somehow he was still making progress. He smiled, an interesting obeservatin eyeing over Sean. He was unsure what was going on. Maybe the Titan’s energy was simply slowing him down…which was not bad. Maybe this Titan made him able to slowly savor and appreciate the finer points of existence, and to genuinely appreciate being a being that existed outside the constraints of time. His interest only seemed to grow on the Titan, because it seemed as if he had almost some form of control over him. Was  control the right word? He thought it was. Of Course Ouro would never use it to hurt the Titan….for some reason he could not bring himself to do it. But he would need to test this Theory…likely soon.

If Ouroboros could manipulate the Titan, to benefit titans…then he could manipulate the titan for his own reasons. As many of them as there were. Ouro’s smile turned a little more troublesome, like a kid who formulated a plan to spray-paint the dog. This might turn out well. But for now...he owed the Titan answers...he owed him that much...before testing him at least.

Their next stop was a crossroads, one that would lead four directions, and all of them seeming to give Sean a certain feeling within his gut. Sean would let his eyes slowly move to Ouro, who seemed to know more about this place than Sean, but then again it seemed that he was the one that had created such a beautiful place. He said that this was the road of revelation, and then proceeded to tell The Titan what road lead where, and he didn't really give Sean much of a choice as to where he would be going. If this was the second safest, what would be the most safe place within this self contained kingdom in the middle of the sea. Still, his energy sparked something within Sean, so he would have the patience to follow him for a little bit longer.

He then noted something about how they were at the point where he could ask questions, or perhaps not, seeing as how that opportunity left as soon as it came. Both walked through the threshold, one not even aware of its existence and there were there, a place called The Ruins of Ragnorox. There was a tower, and perhaps that was what stood out amongst the ruins itself. Hell, it was the largest thing that he had seen, and perhaps even larger than the buildings that used to stand in New York, before it was destroyed by Necrodium. His silver pools looked up in wonder at what sprung from the horizon, and perhaps would have offered the most amazing view that Sean would have ever seen without flying.

Within itself, the ruins was a small city but the tower made it something else entirely, and Sean couldn't help but feel euphoria. Sean's mind was so busy elsewhere that he did not see Ouro as he wrapped his arms around Sean and lifted him up into the air, towards the peak of the tower at his own speed. Those angelic wings would lift him higher, and soon enough he was place upon the top of the tower, where the land was stretched out before him. He could see the desert with its white sands and deadly worms, as well as those Oasis towns that people would seek refuge in against the harsh desert. He could see all of it, and something within Sean was filled with wonder. Once Sean was taken to The Abyss, perhaps he could attempt something like this, perhaps have something to show off to Ouroborous.

Ouro himself seemed to be enjoying their little sightseeing trip and that made Sean enjoy himself even more. He spoke about not wanting to walk up all these stairs, and Sean found that believable enough, so he would let it slide for now, while they were so high up, and the view was so beautiful. Sean himself hated climbing stairs, even when he was no longer human within his mind. Sean spun his his heel, looking at Ouro and the back over the great view until his eyes fell upon what looked like piece of an orb. 'Quite a view indeed.” Sean said with a cheeky grin looking over the edge, before carefully dangling his legs over the edge and simply sitting down for a moment. They were up so high, and yet he wasn't affected by the altitude or thinness of the oxygen at all, though perhaps it was that he did not really need to breath like a human did.

He could feel Ouro's invasive gaze, though that didn't really bother the titan in the least.”So...how did you do it? Make such a wonderful place like this? Was it some kind of magic?” He wondered letting his legs kick back and forth.

Welcome Home (Closed to Titan) Empty Re: Welcome Home (Closed to Titan)

Post by Zell September 8th 2013, 11:20 pm

An interesting question. It was obvious that Titan was impressed now, and this brought a satisfied smile to the face of the ethereal being. He repositioned himself, allowing him to better turn to face the titan. Apparently Titan didn’t mind Ouro’s looks analysis…but it was different when his gaze shifted, to a gaze of almost awestruck wonder. Ouro let out an amused snort through his nose as he smiled and began to bite the tip of his thumb, contemplating if the Titan should know everything. Ouro owed it to tell Titan everything, and Ouro never forgot his debts, nor would he ever. However it all came down to one single question. Did Titan desire the long answer, or the paraphrased composition which would allow the perfect being some more...appealing exaggerations.

”Asking the magician to reveal his magic trick already? Where’s the fun in that?” Ouro scoffed and rolled his eyes playfully before clearing his throat. ”Well…I suppose you can know…This Island is the island I was born on…or I suspect I was born on it. I had to learn to survive here. I learned to make shelter, to survive, and I even managed to come up with my own language. You may hear the locals use it later…when I take you past the shrine to the most hidden area. I digress. There is an energy inside me, one I have little control over through natural means. I am trying to learn as to why I cannot use this energy naturally, but as far as I know I must use this…These DEVICES. You’re people, or mortals at least, call it Technology. My language has no such translation…Instead it is called Envy Magic. I have done a lot of research while I was warden about the concept of Magic, and I’ve discovered that the energy inside me is of a supernatural nature, much like Magic. However…never before has there been an entity of Magic who was unable to use it in some fashion…even if it was not of Magical spells, it was items of magic. I, cannot use items of Magic, or magic itself. I created much of these devices in order to logically and scientifically harness the power inside me. It was a lot of work, but it happened.

To answer your question directly, It was my energy that changed the island, made it prosper and grow. But…for some reason...I cannot use my powers without…this…Envy Magic.”
Ouroboros practically spat out venom from the last two words he spoke he punched the ground, And his eyes narrowed as his breathing was making it quite obvious that he was angered, or unsettled, an emotion that was not typical of the calm and level headed perfect being. It was obvious that he was enraged by his circumstance. He let out a sigh and seemingly he had soothed himself into a state of innocence again. He pulled on his Hydra skin suit a little, and suddenly it became a long sleeved trench coat looking thing. Ouroboros left the trench coat open however, it was not the chill that was bothering him, rather it was the simple fact that his arms would get wind-burned if he left them out. He leaned back on his arms and looked at the Titan with a quick smirk before noticing that the wind was picking up, and his hair was being thrown about. He growled with annoyance as he tried to keep his hair down in some form of semblance. He looked over to Titan and leaned a little towards him, the wind began to howl, drowning out most noise. ”Want to go back to the ground!? I can’t hear you up here!” He tried to call over the noise. He stood up and held onto Titan, keeping him stable in case he should fall. Ouroboros looked over the edge, then to the stairs…then over the ledge again. He looked to the titan and laughed a little. ”Hey…have you ever done that thing where you like..ride on water waves with those wooden planks? Well, just do that!” Ourobors said, Misannthropy appeared out of nowhere and floated off the ground, but just above Sean’s feet. Ouroboros looked back down over the tower’s edge, then back to Sean. Could he survive that fall? ”Ciao!” He said in a flawless Italian accent, as he leaned back and fell form the side of the tower. If all went according to Plan, Sean could ride Misanthropy down like a surf-board, but now Ouro had to ask himself…what now?

The Ground was fast approaching now, after an eternity of waiting. It made Ouro appreciate how high that tower really was. The ashen grounds of the Ruins of Raganarox were coming. He tucked, rolled forward and suddenly his Ethereal power activated, and now he was nothing more than Ethereal mist. He reformed as the Blade Misanthropy had made a safe decline and around towards Ouro, although he did not see if Sean was on the black blade yet. When he reformed, he noticed that the decent sized scar across his chest was able to be seen. HE simply readjusted his jacket and cleared his throat.

”Well that was exciting.” He sighed with a satisfied smile.

Sean could feel it, a minor irritation within the Ethereal energy pulsating from Ouro, something that for a moment sent a pulse of dread through his chest. Something about the term magic angered him, perhaps he was unable to use it like Sean were unable, though his inability took a step further than Sean's. He could feel the wind pick up and ruffle his dark hair slightly, though for the most part it would stay mostly clean, with a few stray locks. The energy was referred to as Envy Magic and that was something that Sean found to be a rather foreign word when used, though he was sure the mystery behind this energy would be revealed sooner or later. Ouroborous however was just one large mystery to Sean and something about that seemed to attract Sean, as if he wanted the mystery more than anything. Still, he could not ignore what he perceived as negative feelings conjured up about this talk of magic, and perhaps it worried him somewhat. Something that worried Sean was uncommon these days, so he had many reasons to look a little confused.

Still, he was fascinated in how Ouro managed to utilize magical energy in a way that could still be harnessed via science, and that perhaps even gave him a slight respect for science itself. If one could not use magic, it was always easier to move towards science than simply allow oneself to remain within mediocrity. Another thing was his ability to create his own language, which was even more impressive, though Sean would have to keep himself from looking agape at the Ethereal Being, otherwise he would seem like an impressionable child, and that was not something that he found to be preferable. If there was a new language, then Sean would want to learn it soon, and perhaps try to do a little impressing of his own. Otherwise, how could he look at himself while the Ethereal being went about making an island? His eyes would continue to look over the edge, something running through his mind before shifting away like sand through fingers.

Soon enough thewind became too great for comfort, and Sean indeed felt like he was going to be blown away if he stayed up here any longer, and that meant returning to the ground level, though not by the long stairs, seeing as how he felt not like taking them. Ouro was without his wings, and that meant that either he had to grow wings or Ouro found another way down from such a great height without both of them being crushed. He could feel the lashing of the warm wind against his skin, and it he knew anything, wind burns were hell to deal with, and even as an immortal being, annoyances like that were best left avoided. Sean moved to his feet in a blur, though it took most of his strength to keep such wind power from blowing him away like a leaf, though he hid any effort admirably. He could see his lips moving, and barely heard what the blonde perfect being said. Sean raised a raven eyebrow, trying to make out each word smashed to bits.

he moved a little closer, the words now clearer, though he was still annoyed that he had not heard what had been said before. The dark blade would float in front of him, almost as if inviting the Titan to jump on and take a ride or something like that. He could have said no and took the stairs, but the Titan was feeling adventurous  today, so he would try that out. Sean stepped out onto the flat of the blade, and then readied himself as the blade moved, almost like he would expect a surfboard bidden to move by the thrashing waves, though his waves were powerful gusts of wind. He moved along with the rough movements, and perhaps tethered himself to the sword with a few bindings of Nether in case hi balance ended up failing him, though it never did on this seemingly long ride down.

Sean was slightly relieved when he touched ground, perhaps mostly by the fact that the dark blade seemed to always hunger for his Nether, and allowing the energy to touch it was a little draining. He jumped down from the blade onto the ground with a dull thud of his ratty shoes. ”Exciting indeed.” Sean agreed fixing his now messy hair by running his fingers through the black strands, and flattening them out somewhat. 'So where to next?.” His voice held a certain interest, and perhaps enthusiasm that conveyed that he was enjoying himself, and the slight smile proved it.

”Next is the Veil…So, I have a question for you.” Ouroboros said, turning around, walking backwards as they began on their short trek back to the road of revelation. Ouro’s interest in the Titan seemed to only grow, and it was likely obvious. ”How exactly did you know me? Even before I recognized you…That is something that escaped me, pretty well too I might add.” He said. They were back to the road’s split once more. There was a mighty screech, similar to that of a bird, one that had that ‘rippling’ sound as it sang. A large bird of Ethereal fire soared overhead towards the Ruins. Ouroboros waved at the bird as it flew past.

”Emerillia…The Ethereal Phoenix. Guardian of that half of the Key. She saw me and apparently knew we were together. Well, adventuring together that is.  SO! Now we go for The Veil…a place I think you’ll enjoy.” Ouroboros chuckled as he began down the path.  Just as it had with the Ruins of Ragnarox, there seemed to be an invisible magical threshold, but that this time went from clouded white skies to purple spiraling clouds, and eerie glowing lights as spirits littered the area. They continued on, as if nothing were wrong, or as if they weren’t even dead. Ouro smirked and crossed his arms, cocking his head to the side.

”This is the Veil…The barrier between life and Death is at an all time low here. If a human walks into here…the gentle breeze could send them into the afterlife. Seriously…many Ethereal beings are hesitant to come here if not under my direct instruction. This place is full of unique little things…one of them being the other half of this sphere….” Ouroboros said with a smirk, and set off through the arch’s, entering the Veil.

Coffins littered the ground, This place itself was apparently the ruins of some form of temple, however it was so eerie, the veil so stretched that even the non magical would smell Death from them. Ouro led the way, as if he had been there before. He led the Titan, the Nether entity through the highly nether infested area. They would make their way up towards the top of the temple., having to maneuver through a series of connected platforms that slowly allowed you to ascend from the ground. They would keep the steady pace up, until they finally reached the top of the temple. Ouro looked upon the flat surface of the structure beneath them. Not far off…just about twenty yards was the epitome of Death itself, sitting on a throne of Obsidian and bones, a cloak of tattered Death stench cloth, and the presence of a dark Nether. Suddenly, The Skeletal fingers began to move.

”So…The Creator comes once more…Back for another scar?” The Lych sniggered ad he pointed to Ouro’s chest, the medium sized scar glowing slightly.

Ouro seemed to express his own question, but only after answering Sean's. He wondered for a moment what this veil was, and perhaps what hid within it, if a veil is truly what it was. Still, he was caught off guard by the question, and Sean perhaps was unsure of how to answer, if he could give a correct answer without compromising what he had now. He could see the growing intrigue that the Ethereal being held towards him, and the truth was something that he did not want ruining his life now. ”How did I know you? While the shell is different, all I can say for now is that there is more to you than simply being birthed on this island. Perhaps once we have a more private moment, I could tell you more.” His voice held a certain ominous tint to it, as if Sean knew something but he was willing to keep it hidden, well perhaps his willingness was kept hidden.

They stepped through another threshold, giving way from the crossway to another strange venue that Sean felt more comfortable. He was told that this was a veil, where life and death seemed side by side, and a weak human would die simply from a stray breeze, one that seemed to coincide with what he knew of The Abyss, and that made the Titan smile darkly. This was a place that he could call home within this kingdom of Ethereal power. In a place of life, he was a beacon of death and his power was perhaps greater than any could claim within the mortal realm, his pure manifestation of Nether unheard of by many. It was now that Sean felt at home, or as close as one could get on this mortal world of life and death. Within the skies soared purple clouds that floated lazily, and perhaps only added to his curiosity.

He could smell the death around him, and the ruins only added to that effect, and perhaps only excited him. A being of nether would find themselves more at home within his element, and this was where he was meant to be, This was also where the other half of this sphere would be, and it somehow held great importance to Ouroborous, so that meant they would have to retrieve it.  They would move through interconnected platforms, all of which would lead them higher, towards them to likely the other half of the orb. It was not long until and Sean felt as if this were easier than he thought.

Granted what now stood in front of their path was a Lich, or so Sean thought him to be from his appearance. A skeletal frame, with tattered robes and reeking of Nether that so many necromancers that ascended to Lichdom had. No, he was not a simple Lich but something deadlier than a paltry necromancer, and that put Sean on edge for a moment, yet he spoke to the Ethereal being so casually. He spoke as if he had harmed Ouro before, and that annoyed Sean more than he would have admitted openly. ”So, who is this? He reeks of nether, dark and pungent. And he annoys me...greatly.” A small black mist composed of nether leaked from Sean's mouth, showing that he too was powerful.

”I annoy you because countless times I have overcome you…child of the Abyss.” The Lych said with a chilling voice. The fog in the area began to pick up, the headstones all around him seemed to fog over. ”I am Lych. You are a creature of Nether made flesh…no doubt of Elena’s brood…Tell me child, how old are you hm?” The Lych inquired.

”This is The Lych, lord of the Veil. He annoys you probably because he has conquered death more than two hundred and seventy eight times…I assume at least.” Ouroboros said as he tried to hide his scar from Titan by crossing his arms, slightly suspiciously. He then looked back to Lych, who sat upon the obsidian covered throne of bones. ”Lych…this is Sean Collin.” Ourobors introduced him out of formality.

”Silence!” Lych hissed at Ouroboros. Ouro was a little taken back by the demand. ”Is not silence the way of death? In the presence of Death all are silent…only Death may speak…so now dear Ouroboros, be as the dead, and stay silent.” Lych said, something in the hollow tone of his voice seemed almost as if it were a request, however Ouroboros did not take kindly to the demand.

”Who do you think you are addressing?” Ouroboros snapped. Lych’s arm rose and with a simple wave, the draping cloak sleeve brushing the obsidian as it cross, and with the motion a sphere of Nether-imbued umbra was sent out. The Umbra took the form of a snake and flew at Ouro. Ouro moved his head, but once his head was moved two shadowy-skeletal hands crossed over his mouth, silencing him. The Lych had predicted Ouroboros’ movements, and while he lacked the reaction time, it was quite clear that the Lych’s intelligence was not to be in questioned.

”Come Child, I know whom I address; I address Ouroboros, the Lord of Ethereal energy and the Sovereign of the Ethereal Isle. I address the fallen Atterrius whom is only here by thanks of the Titan. I know exactly whom I address. It is simply in my inner desire to keep sanctified the grounds of Death, where the loud colorful voices of the living disrupt the total tranquility of the abyssal afterlife. You yourself made this land to be close to the region of Death itslf…and you have entrusted me to keep it sanctified…and so I shall.” the Lych explained calmly, Ouro seemed to understand, and with a single thought his body was enveloped in an Ethereal light, the glow was dim, partially illuminating the skeletal form of Lych, his purple eyes fixated upon Sean. The shadow-skeletal hands melted away, as if they were burning paper. Once they were away, Ouro’s body ceased it’s disturbing glow.

”Very well…since it was as I commanded.” Ouro said with a sigh, sitting down on the corrupted soil beneath him.

”It is, as it shall be.” Lych said. He stood from the throne, the pointy skeletal feet, wrapped in black and bloody cloth gracing the dark and evil grounds. Lych now stood, his tattered and ruined deathstench cloak hood fallen over half of his skeletal face, he seemed to peirce Sean’s soul with the orb of pure energy that he called an eye.  So…we meet at last…I was wondering when I would meet the Son of Elena…Though it is rather difficult for me to hear that awful last name…Collin…Never quite understood what she saw in that man. Regardless…it seems you were not content to simply turn Zell into the ever powerful Ouroboros, but now you’ve come to work your way into him and his power….do not fret…he cannot hear us…as I have said…the sanctity of Death is silence…and in silence only Death may speak…But I wonder how he will react to see what’s become of him…have you told him yet? Do you think that he will appreciate all you’ve done? Or will the innocent little Ouroboros turn his back to you? I wonder, I wonder…. The Lych’s voice carried out through to Sean. If the Lych had any flesh,. It would have been wrenched up into a wicked grin, as if he knew that he had a bartering chip on Titan. Ouro just sat, seemingly in a blissful meditation. His breathing was shallow, almost as if he himself were dead.

”I assume you’ve for the hand of Death? Lych said as he turned and sat back on his throne. He leaned forward, his two index fingers pressed together as they rested up the middle of his face, leaned forward with interest. Ouroboros nodded and looked at the Thrones back, at the very top was a skeletal hand, one that held half of an orb. ”So…Ouroboros desires the touch of Death…shall you come and take it from me once more and risk running that perfect body you pride yourself in? Or will you pout until your uncle Lych feels sorry for you?” The Lych teased Ouro, who just rolled his eyes.

Sean could feel it, the eternal undeath that lingered from this being, a perversion of the purity that Nether held within it. Something about the undead annoyed Sean, as both a Titan and a being that reigned over death itself. His teeth clenched together, though the dark energy would still escape through them and release itself into the air with the rest of the nether that floated so freely. This man was indeed a powerful being, perhaps more powerful than any lich that Sean had the fortune of meeting and destroying. 'So you knew my mother? Back when she was alive anyway.” He raised a raven brow ”Though yes, your continued escape from death does annoy me lich.” he seemed to spit the term with a certain annoyance, as if he was willing to reach out and decimate this being with a single stroke.

Ouro would say something, explaining who this was and was rather rudely silenced. That also angered Sean, seeing as no one would speak that way to what was his. He easily enough silenced the Ethereal being, once again causing a rise within Sean, perhaps he would make a lesson out of this one yet. He would then turn his attention back at the titan, and speak again, though it seemed to Sean's soul. He was enjoying each word transferred, and Sean could sense it within his very being. His lips curled into a grimace, making plain that he was even more annoyed. It seemed that he thought that he had something upon Sean, but then again he might have been very wrong.

”My, someones a little nosy now aren't they? If he does indeed find the truth and turns his back on me, I will have to take him by force. However, I strongly doubt he will react like that, after all he's already more mine than he even knows.” Sean would reply via the same communication that the Lych had used before, though it was broken as soon as it was made, or so it seemed to Sean. H

e felt as if he lost track of time. He could hear Ouro's breathing, shallow and slow as if he were dead, but turning he could see that the Ethereal being was simply meditating, so that put him at ease, though he would never truly be at ease until he had some distance between him and The Lych. It was obvious that The Lych held this other half of the orb, though if he would give it was another story entirely.

It was obvious that they had some kind of history, but then again Sean had little history with Ouro yet, and none with The Lych except that his mother knew him once. What was their history? Something within his words seemed to hint that he had fought Ouro once, and injured him. Perhaps that also extended to more people that he knew. The Titan would stay silent, and keep his silver pools focused on the spirits that swarmed around them, as some looked upon the Titan for a millisecond, though it was maybe just the confusion of the dead.

You shall try young Collin. But you shall fail…as all before you have tried. He is indomitable. Forces far greater than you have tried…All of them have been sent screaming into the Abyss. Stay on his good side young titan and you shall have all you need to do as you desire…but make an enemy of him…and you die like a fool. The Lych’s thoughts echoed throughout the fogged marshy terrain, yet Ouroboros could not hear them. Instead, the Lych sat on his throne. Ouroboros charged towards the throne, Misanthropy in hand, its energies seeming to roar with a large reverb and echo. Ouroboros skillfully leapt, only for a pillar of Obsidian to rise, intercepting the perfect being, rising him up, and soon it was four stories high. Ouro had caught his balance, and tumbled off placing him on a direct collision course with the seated Lych. Meanwhile, Lych just chuckled. With Misanthropy in and, aimed down at Lych, he was prepared to pierce the skeletal entity.

”So you are here to take it?” The Lych posed the rhetorical question, a soft chuckle that held a great tinge of dark intent. The Lych need not even stand. Instead he held up a small little necklace, at the end of it was a small hourglass. ”Whisper words that none will laugh Epitaph.” Lych sung, responding to the creepy poetic language, the chain grew to immense lengths, Ourobors calculated the chain to be about thirty foot in length. The end piece went from an hour glass to a medium sized wheel of saw-like spikes. There was now a Scythe, seemingly made of a spinal-column. The Lych lifted the Scythe, and it shot up through the air, the blade grazing Ouro’s skin, leaving yet another mark. Ouro’s relexes allowed him to realign himself, putting him back in prime striking position, however that was not to be the end of this, The Lych yanked down on the Scythe, and as it retracted it dug into Ouro’s shoulder, pulling him down, with the flick of the wrist, the Scythe fell outwards, and launched Ouro towards Sean. With the flick of his other hand, Ouro found himself suspended in air, and being yanked back as strings of Nether energy. Ouro began fluing back, eventually resorting to roll his wrists, grabbing onto the Nether strings and flipping jimself around, and as he approached Lych, he drove his foot right into the skull of Lych, but it merely allowed Ouro a chance to kick off, his legs going over his head as he moved through the air upside down. He summoned his blade to him, By time his feet had made it all the way over and he was upright again the blade was in his hands at last, With his good arm, he swung the blade at Lych, whom simply lifted his skeletal hand and back handed the blade as it came horizontally. The blade bounced off the hardened bone. Ouroboros groaned, in total annoyance. It was apparent that Lych was indeed stronger here than he had been before. Or perhaps…it was the fact that he was more focus on trying to…impress the titan? He was over thinking things, he was too busy trying to impress the Titan…he had forgotten to simply fight…as he was trained to do.

”You are still too weak…” Lych said with an unsatisfied grumble. Ouro’s upper lip twitched, that was a sensitive spot for the so called Perfect Being. Lych’s gaze seemed to fixate on Sean. He is too weak…Weak because it was your family whom condemned the Ethereal wielders. The Magic families are too fearful of the energy they hold, and far too jealous to accept that it is not a magic that can be taught. The ability to wield it is either there…or it is not. You should feel honored, you are perhaps the only creature he deems an equal, and you first hand get to witness the rise of the Ethereal…a fate I once desired, but would never receive. I remember the day your mother said I was crazy for dedicating my life to the pursuit of the mythical Ethereal…and much to my dismay…she was right, as she so often seems to be. I attempted to grasp the Ethereal…and in the end…this…this body...this eternal…never dying existence is my punishment. I am forced to sit upon the Bone-Throne...a king of Death itself…I am forced to settle for this mediocrity when the powers that SHOULD have been mine are instead wielded by this CHILD…But Perhaps you too shall have your use…Perhaps you are the one…for upon these three roads to Epica…perhaps it is you who is the key to Ultima. Lych’s thought began to drift and prattle over curiosities, eventually becoming just noise that Sean would not likely understand. Meanwhile, Ouro had summoned thee blades of Ethereal energy, sending them at the Lych. The Lych rached up and caught one in his hand, as the other two did little damage to his cloak. With a squeeze, the blade corrupted into a Dark Ethereal energy before disappating.

”Enough young Ouroboros…you’re point has been made…but It is not you whom I should be testing. It is your guest…” Lych stood up, the thirty foot long chain began to coil and spark with Nether energy. He raised his hand, and suddenly it was as if the same Abyss that appeared so long ago had opened over the entire Isle. Let us test if you are truly worthy of the Perfect one. His thoughts echoed. With a slash  of the Scythe, The spinal column extended, headed right for Sean, and a large force of Nether-imbued shadow within the blade.
