"Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I appreciate you all coming out this evening, putting aside petty differences and the likes to deal with what truly matters, The world as a whole. This year, Gene-tech shall be donating all profits to the rebuilding of New York City, and to help fund individual entrapanures into leading a great, long, and prosperous rebirthing from the ashes of disaster. But, for your entertainment, we have gambling stations, we have live music, we have just about anything you can imagine here to keep you entertained, and to keep New York in our hearts. Enjoy the festivities." Zell said. He walked off the stage to a round of applauds and he looked around at all his guests. He resorted to mingling with even the more 'unlawful' types in the crowds, always keeping himself aware. While Zell enhjoyed all the company in his social conquest, there were Two guests in particular he was looking for, he wondered if they had arrived yet, and if not, would they?

Anya was stuck as a unicorn... again. In a horse pen nonetheless, Anya snorted and shook her head. The sapphire at the base of her horn glittered and pulsed showing her magical capabilities. She stayed away from the edges of the pen, away from grubby hands and other dangerous creatures. She was a glorious looking creature, with a midnight black hide that showed the horse like creature's muscle, with dark blue eyes that fixed the boy walking back and forth on the stage with loathing.
It was his fault she was here... it was his festival wasn't it? Her ears flattened but her attention was diverted as a man in cowboy boots climbed over the fence.
"They say if we can ride you," He drawled, "We can take you home."
The massive unicorn, at least twenty hands high, bared her teeth, threatening to ignite his hat. The man halted mid stride, "There is something not right with this horse," He announced.
Anya stamped one of her hooves as if to say, exactly.
"What she needs," The man started forward grabbing a fist full of Anya's hair, "Is a good breaking."
Anya reared, her hooves lashing out. The canadian cowboy fell backwards onto his butt, swearing at the top of his lungs.

Alex walked around randomly, taking great care to maintain a decent distance from others in the crowd, not only to avoid the perceived rude awkwardness of bumping into someone, but also to just avoid touching others in general. The loud noises were annoying, but they did their best to ignore it while briefly distracted by an odd, yet interesting looking horse as it bucked an attempted rider to the ground, most likely completely deservedly for whatever reason, who then began shouting a string of curses in anger. They walked away to avoid the fiasco that would presumably follow, and listened to a young man walking onstage and talking about something before walking off to applause. Alex quickly shoved their fingers in their ears to filter out the sound. They honestly didn't really care whatever he was talking about, and continued to wander. Looking around, they tried to find something that interested them enough, but to little success. They didn't care for gambling, let alone even have the money for it, and the live music was just more noise to them. Oh well, even if they found nothing after completely exploring, they could still just fly off to wherever they wanted like they usually did.

The applause from Zell's speech had finally died down and he was now mingling with the crowd of investors. The Baron looked on intently. This Zell was of considerable interest to him. His company flourished, Gene'Tech was the world leader in genetic research and had once been the home to extensive meta research. The Baron himself had had a hand in developing their meta-soldier programs, covertly of course but he had obtained vast amounts of data during that time. And now, with all original ties to Gene-Tech gone, Roderick was looking to get his hands back into all that they had to offer. And this time, he would not let someone as narrow minded as Kurt Summers foil him, nor would he try his old back handed tactics. No, this time he would do just the opposite. As the saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Roderick intended to do exactly that, gain Zell's trust as a fellow businessman and get to work on Gene-Tech as one of its owners and collaborators. And so patiently he sat, near the back of the large hall where Zell had spoken, patiently waiting his turn to speak with the man.

For the Greater Good... I guess? Empty Re: For the Greater Good... I guess?

Post by Zell May 26th 2013, 1:46 am

Zell was just outside the main entrance, looking over the garden when he noticed a rather 'simple' guy walking around, seemingly as if he were avoiding the crowd. He glared at the man and his gaze fixated. The man seemed to take little interest in the gambeling, and even less so in the open bar. Perhaps he'd find something of interest, surly he'd find something. Zell went through great lengths to ensure all age grouos and interests had been taken into account for. The 'simple man' looked as if he maybe hadn't eaten in a while. "Niall, store that face in your memory, run a full scan and get any information you can." Zell whispered to the AI in his head. "Okay, Use your systems to control Ancestor Dragon suit mark 1. Get him in here and give a little speech. If whoever gave Gene-tech a virus is here they'll be none the wiser and think twice. In case not re-run diagnostics at full speed and disconnect all remote access other than my access." Zell whispered. As he was bored he decided to walk towards the animal entertainment down in the gardens.
He passed through the beautiful well kept garden, admiring the splendor of the all natural plants. The garden was a reminder of how beautiful imperfections can be. Zell always did have a Wabi-Sabi mentality, even despite him being the supposed 'Perfect Human.' Upon reaching the animal pens he saw the most beautiful creature he'd probably ever seen. There was a man with a wil raised and he was cursing up a storm. Something about the creature needed 'broken' or something. Zell yelled and distracted the man.
"HEY! What's the meaning of this?" Zell snapped. The man loomed at Zell nervously.
"Nothing sir.... the horse is acting up." The man said with a tone that Zell wasn't sure he liked. Zell walked up and looked the horse in the eyes.
"Well first off don't be a dumbass. Horses are loyal and fearless. They are respectible and don't deserve the whip. Horses can tell a bad egg..." Zell said. He knew this guy was bad news and thjs hirse was in some trouble. Zell pet the horse and stroked it as kindly as he could. "You're a oretty girl aren't ya? Yeeeaaah....She's endangered. How much?" Zell asked the man. The man smiled.
"Tell ya what...you can ride her you can keel her." The man said mockingly. Zell looked down at the horse and kept petting it gently.
"Will you trust me, hhhu pretty girl?" Zell asked. He slowly went next to the horse and hopped on as gently as he coukd, trying to keep the majestic 'beast' calm. While on horseback, he noticed a man in a suit approaching. The man had a swagger, he was obviously a high society type, he noticed thay Iin a second and as soon a he was on the horse Zell felt a shift underneath him and he prayed to god the horse wasn't gonna buck him off, but it was out of his hands.

Anya reared at the man brandishing the whip; her hooves came down with a crash. He backed up and was fumbling with some sort of gun when the kid in charge of this whole thing yelled at him, inquiring about Anya. To her displeasure he jumped the fence. He insulted the guy who had captured her and his position with her improved slightly. Anya looked at him while his hand stroked the side of her face, if his fingers brushed her horn he would be able to see her for what she was. The unicorn held her breath until his hand moved away from her face. When Zell started to talk to her with baby talk a look of annoyance crossed the creature's face. She was not some common horse.
Then he was on her back and a series of thoughts flew through her mind.
She could let him ride her and then when morning came and they were attempting to load her up she could try to escape. Or she could topple him on his backside, make him look like a fool and knock other people off for the rest of the night. If Anya were in her human form she would have grinned like a savage beast, for that was what she was. Escape seemed like a better plan. The unicorn with her neck arched proudly began to follow the boy's promptings. Her hooves picked up quickly and she moved with much ease.

It didn't take long for Alex to become aware of someone staring at them from the distance. Alex had always had a good sense of keeping track of people in a room, even a room as crowded as this one. Perhaps tonight wouldn't be as boring as Alex originally assumed. Pretending not to notice, they continued wandering the room away from the man, forsaking their own desire to remain untouched by disappearing into the crowd. Once the man got bored and walked away, Alex remembered their aversion to the other people, and moved away from them, before continuing to wander. Eventually, Alex ended up near the animals again, where he saw the same man who was staring at him talking to the attempted rider of the strange looking horse, most likely about the horse itself as he gently stroked and petted it, the horse curiously becoming more tense every time his hand moved closer to her horn. Perhaps the horn was in fact, real, and the horse really was a unicorn? No, that would be improbable. It was probably just sensitive due to whatever was used to keep the horn on her head. Even from the distance Alex was from them, he could practically hear the vexing and presumptuous tone of the attempted rider. Perhaps later Alex would mess around with him with their powers or something. Not long after, the young man mounted the horse and began riding it, the horse moving easily with an elegant flare. Remaining decently hidden, Alex continued to watch to see how this would unfold.

Nothing, not even a glance was thrown his way as Zell marched off the stage and out of the main hall. How dare he not acknowledge Roderick? The audacity of that man astounded him. He continued to watch him as he made his way to the stables. What was he doing? There was business to take care of and he was going to go play with the filthy animals. His practices were something else. He needed instruction, lots of it. But what could you expect from a 17 year old CEO. He had only just stopped wetting himself and was now running the largest bio-tech company in the country. Zell was smart but he obviously had no idea how to use his genius and apply it to the business end of things, though the Baron knew it had been applied to...other areas. Deciding pursuit was the only option, Roderick slowly picked himself up from his seat. His old bones creaked as he leaned on his cane for support. 60 years old, the years certainly had flown by but he still had so much to accomplish and so much power at his fingertips. It delighted him to know just how powerful he was and just how much control he may soon gain over this company.

His perfectly shinning shoes tread lightly through the muck of the stables. The smell was appalling, this was no place fit for someone as grand as The Baron but he would not let anyone know that. On the outside he was smiling and kind, the exact paradigm of a comforting old grandfather. He approached the man on the horse with a quaint smile on his face. "Pradon me sir but may I have a word? My name is Roderick and your speech has peaked my interest greatly. If you are so inclined as to ride I see no other choice than to join you. I myself am an amateur equestrian and would quite enjoy speaking with you about your efforts in New York over a ride between gentleman." Before Zell could respond Roderick chose a fine horse and mounted it as only a spry old man can. It took him some effort but by the third try he was upon the horse. "You must excuse me, my old bones don't quite function like they used to. Shall we?" He motioned off towards one of the trails which led from the stable. He was looking forward to hearing all that Zell had to say.

Post by Zell May 28th 2013, 1:24 am

An older gentleman approached Zell form the distance, thankfully this beautiful beast didn't knock him out or throw him off. The man was very finely dressed, perfect shining shoes, a wonderful fashion designer suit, and a cane so beautiful that he would kill to live old enough to use it, however fate would never be so kind. Then again that was a story for another time.
"Pradon me sir but may I have a word? My name is Roderick and your speech has peaked my interest greatly. If you are so inclined as to ride I see no other choice than to join you. I myself am an amateur equestrian and would quite enjoy speaking with you about your efforts in New York over a ride between gentleman." The older man said kindly. If the man was an amature equestrian than he picked the wrong horse. Zell was unsure what to do as this 'Mr.Roderick' mounted Zell's horse. Zell smiled, and was frantically thinking to himself 'for the love of God whatever you do don't kill him, the last thing i need is 'Zell's horse murderes old man!' in the papers!!!!' Zell spoke to the horse mentally. The horse couldn't hear him, it was just a gentically modified horse, not psychic or anything.
"You must excuse me, my old bones don't quite function like they used to. Shall we?" Roderick asked motioning for Zell to lead the way. Zell's horse went to buck the older man off, but the second it started up Zell grabbed the side strap on it's face and kept it grounded.
"HEX MARK! Mr.Roderick, I'm Zell Atterrius, a pleasure." Zell barked, then turned his attentions to Roderick. The horse lowered it's head, almost as if it understood the shame it brougt upon itself by displeasing its master. Zell snapped and he tapped the horse he was sitting on. "One ride and i'll set ya free beautiful." Zell said to the horse under him. He had no intentions of keeping this horse, he only wanted to keep it from getting wiped. At the snap his horse and HIS horse, Hex Mark, walked on side by side.
'Oi don' loik thes goi." Niall growled. Zell rolled his eyes and sighed.
"So, you'd like to hear my plans for New York?" Zell began. Zell was wonderful at masking his true emotions and intentions, he was a great actore and a part-time bull-shitter too. Zell put his full acting talent to work when he loooked at the man and told him his 'plan'. "I plan on using the money from this benefit and...". Zell began, he paused. He was trying to remember the company he kept. IF he had simply spout off the first thing that came to mind he might have gone on about an elaborate plot to infect NYC with a gene that will cause global illness so Genetech would prosper...but Then again the first thing that came to his head was always his conversations with Thorgron. Thorgron had become a close friend to Zell, and Zell often teased him by remindign him how Thorgron had been SSSOOOOO convinced that he was evil. So everytime Thorgron asked soemthing like 'Watcha doin?' or 'what's the plan?' Zell would have a long elaborate plot about some way of making Gene-Tech profitable off of a sickness or by making a new form of cancer. He chuckled as he rebounded. "Sorry...I'm trying to think of how to properly explain this....ah well... I plan on rebuilding infrastructure with 20%, then supplying temporary essentials with 40% of as long a period of time as possible. I also will be investing in a number of beneficiaries that are privately contacted me. They want to rise up in the world as corperations and they want my help. It's an exclusive list because these are all companies that will be HEAVY hitters but don't want to establish too quickly. This way they don't owe anyone anything and their not taking the money from the benefit until it's ready for them to take and help the New York economy. However the comman person wouldn't understan how important the economy of New York City is, so they'd say I was a faciest for giving money to businesses, but it's actually an economic properity...in four years NYC will be twice a profitable as it was if my plan goes through." Zell explained truthfully, he then looked back at the man, gaging his reaction, expecting an opinion. He sighed and looked as the trail came to an end. He looked back to Roderick and paused a moment. Suddenly Zell noticed that the shady guy from before had been following him. This was concerning. He also noticed that the newly build MK II Ancestor Dragon suit had arrived, Niall piloting it. He hopped off the horse and looked to the men he had hired to tend the stables. He ordered them let the horse he had ridden go and he offered to assist Roderick in getting off the horse. Afterwards he motioned for Roderick to come near him.
"Mr. Roderick, I'd like to introduce you to someone." Zell said cheerily. Zell walked up and stuck out a hand to the exo suit. He shook hands with it and revealed Mr.Roderick. "Mr.Rderick, this is Excalibur City's finest, and a personal friend in a high place, The Ancestor Dragon." Zell introduced the two. Niall stuck out the suits hand and offered it to Roderick.
"Good evening sir." The suit said with the modifier.
Oh! Ancestor Dragon, Ancestor Dragon!" A familiar voice called out. It was the beautiful Chelsie Smith from ECP News, along side her infamous camera crew and flash-photographers. Zell quickly and secretivly tapped a button on his A.V.A.T.A.R and leaned towards Roderick.
"I'm not a fan of the media, I hope you don't mind but anything within six feet around me is now virtually invisable to all technology. Nothing technilogical can find us, not infared, not camera's, not motion sensors, nor satalites...so if you want your picture taken say the word and I'll step away." Zell offered. After hearing Rodericks resonse he waited for the camera's to go inside with th Exo suit. Zell then turned his attentions back to Mr.Roderick."If you would excuse me a moment, I'd love to continue this conversation, however I must introduce our guest speaker. If you still wish to carry on the conversation We can take it to my offce or we can simply take another stroll. If not, than I wish you the best in all you do Mr.Roderick." Zell offered. He respectfuly lowered his head a bit and went back up to the stage.
'Oi don loik tha' goi.'Niall snapped in Zell's mind again.
"Just shut up and give the speech." Zell whispered to himself as he approached the microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce the number Hero of Excalibut city, and quite possibly this side of North America, I give you The Golden god, The Paladin, ANCESTOR DRAGON!" Zell announced. The crowed cheered and Zell watched as the exo suit approached him. He gave the 'Hero' a hug and took a good publicity picture and then stepped off the stage.
"Thank you Mr. Atterrius. Now while we all love to celebrate how eonderful Heroes are, we all seem to forget how important that those who don't dress upm and those who don't have powers to still do their part..." The suit began under Niall's direction. Zell ignored it and he hopped down off the stage.
He hoped to find this Roderick again. After all he never did catch his last name.

The door of her pen swung outward and Anya's ears pricked forward, Would it be as easy as this?
Her thoughts asked. She twisted her head around to look at Zell, almost like she was asking a question directed at the rider. No normal horse would do that. Carefully she picked her way along the path, her hooves snapping sticks in two like a hot knife through butter. The actual horse, Hex Mark, next to her walked a little slower and with his head close to the ground. Obviously a broken beast. Anya played close attention to the conversation, her dark blue eyes fixed ahead of her. Then suddenly, they were back at the stables and Zell was instructing the stable hands to let her go. Her head jerked up, So it was going to be that easy. Deadly mistake.
Anya reared and the stable hand yelled, calling after Zell. Asking if he was sure. The halter on the Unicorn began to smoke. Causing the hand to call out and the halter fell to the floor.
With that she bolted, the nylon halter still smoking on the floor.

Soon, another man came up to the younger man, and began talking to him. He was older, a lot older, and dressed extravagantly and expensively. His shoes could most likely pay for a tailor to make a new suit for Alex than their old, slightly ratty and waif-ish outfit, food to feed them healthily for week, or maybe even longer, and still have some extra left after. The older man mounted another horse, and began riding as him and the younger man discussed to each other about something. Alex still couldn't hear what it was, but it didn't matter to them. They discreetly followed them, hiding behind other guests. Eventually, he dismounted the strange looking horse, and walked away with the older man, back to the stage and the microphone. Suddenly, the strange horse began running away, distracting Alex from the younger man walking back off the stage again. Alex instantly sped after it, but was impeded by the crowd. They huffed exasperatedly, and gently pushed their way through the crowd anyways. They didn't get more than a few feet before accidentally running into the man who was staring at them earlier. Alex fell down on their back, softly groaning out apologies as they sat back up, starting to get back to their feet.

For the Greater Good... I guess? Empty Re: For the Greater Good... I guess?

Roderick listened intently throughout the ride. This boy had big ideas, ideas worth paying attention to. With the proper leverage he could become one with this company, gaining the "legitimate" front that he needed to further advance the ever expanding web of Baron Corps. Throughout the entire ride Roderick said nothing. He felt that it was important to allow Zell to present himself thoroughly. The occasional nod or look were thrown at him at times when he hit a point of interest. After all, this was just the preliminary, if Zell was serious about talking business, he would invite Roderick to a more private environment where they could more accurately think. And as the ride came to an end, Zell proposed just that, a meeting between fellow businessmen. But too his surprise he was approached by another party, Ancestor Dragon. This was one of the many non-powered so called superhumans that paraded paraded around the streets in high powered suits. It was true yes, Baron used his own super suit, but it was made to enhance his abilities, not necessary to them. The iron clad boy offered out a hand and though Roderick thought little of him, he wasn't stupid. In order to build a suit like this meant high intelligence and access to near limitless resources. A man like that would have no problems obtaining a DNA sample with a simple hand shake. "A pleasure Mister Dragon." His hands stayed firmly on his cane and he backed slightly demonstrating to him a minor fear, as though something he had dealt with before. In truth he had, just not exactly in the way he presented it. "I apologize. I don't do handshakes. We humans are filthy creatures and our hands are a breeding ground for bacteria. I hope I have not offended you." There was a genuine tone in his voice. Offending a possible partner was bad news, but getting his DNA monitored and tracked was far worse.

Quickly interrupting the awkward exchange was the media. Once again, bad news. Fortunately, Zell had a solution, a nice device capable of eliminating signals from penetrating a radius around him. He would have to remember that. Such a device could prove a nuisance in an event Roderick needed air support or an army. However it was truly welcomed at the moment. "I thank you Mr. Atterius, you seem to be full of interesting ideas tonight." He said this as he stepped within the projected bubble of the device. As he did, an idea struck Roderick as odd. This device was obviously of high technology, the kind of thing useful to shy superhero. Yes it was true that Zell was not in the suit, it didn't mean he didn't have connections to the man underneath. They after all seemed to be very well acquainted, Zell had gone so far as to invite this man to a fundraising event for the reconstruction of New York. To Roderick's knowledge he was the only "hero" invited to the benefit. This unnerving possible link lingered in his mind as Zell invited him to the private meeting. Bullseye! he was in and from the moment their conversation ended and the two seperated, Roderick began to further conceive how to interest this man without creating suspicion. Quickly asking an attendant as to where Zell's office was he was directed to the location and allowed only to his minimal level of security. He would wait there for Zell's arrival.

For the Greater Good... I guess? Empty Re: For the Greater Good... I guess?

Zell went over to an assitant that he had seen Roderick speak to, and he inquired about the ocation of the missing gentleman. On his way he heard a loud crash and he turned to see that not everythng was well. Apparently there was a breach in security, something very dangerous to attempt, and Niall responded promptly with the Ancestor Dragon suit. There were no causalties, thankfully and Zell's attention wasn't required. Zell had no fears whatsoever about the security in Gene-tech, the building itself was one of the most highly alert places in the world. The S.T.A.R.K corps patroled the labs, and between the five of them no single metahuman could manage a break in, not without months of sleepless nights for planning, and even coud they get in, they would never get out alive. Even if you could get past the S.T.A.R.K corps leaders, you still hat the figurhead, Thorgron to deal with.
"Where did Mr.Roderick go?" Zell asked. The attendant looked at hm almost dumbfounded that Zell had asked.
"He went to your office, sir." the attendant said. Zell's eyes widened. He quickly turned and made great haste in his walk towards the elevator.
'NIALL, ALERT S.T.A.R.K UNITS, NO ONE IS TO STRIKE!' Zell thought to himself. His A.V.A.T.A.R beeped in response and the message was sent out. Zell took out his pocket phone and quickly hacked into the chamera in his office.
Lourishna was perched above the door, the darkness of the room was enough camo for him to stay well concealed. The door opened, and it wasn't Zell. Roderick walked into the room and flipped the light on, looking aroung. Lourishna screeched and spread his large black wings as an living symbol of death and he looked as if he was about to swoop down. Not a second later, Specter walked through the wall and held a gun up at Roderick.
"Don move little man!" Specter snapped in his thick russian accent. The door opened and Archangel burst through, his weapons all trained on Roderick.
"Archangel responded, Target in sights." Archangel added.
[color:3167= darkorchid]"Stand down, didn't you punks get the memo. Zell said not to strike out." Shara added as she stepped infront of them, she walekd over to the desk and pulled ouyt a chair and offered it to Roderick.
"Thus we did not shoot... we only scare him a little." Specter added.
"Shara, I appreciate you letting us know what the orders are, but I'M in command here. Zell can do whatever Zell wants to punish me, but I know my preassigned duties." Archangel said. He looked to Roderick. "No offence...but I don't trust you. I'm staying until Zell comes. Specter, return to your post on Sub-basement A, Shara go get Mr.Atterrius and inform him of the current situation. Lourishna, fetch the man a drink." The bird looked to Rodrrick and awaited his command. Then the bird flew off to th eother side of the room and retieved a glass and the desired drink. Lourishna returned to the table and poured it for the older man.
"Here you are sir, If you give me a minute I can have an attendant up here to help take care of you until Zelly gets here." Shara said apologetically. Zell walked in through the door and went over to his seat.
"Forgive my associates, I didn't plan on you leaving without me. Archangel, wel'll discuss this later, Shara thank you my dear for being the voice of reason, and Specter stop being a communist, fear isn't the only tactic. Zell said, joking with Specter. Zell sat down and looked at Roderick with a smile. [color=chartreuse]"I'm sorry about that now-"
"Mr.Atterrius!" A voice interruped.
"God why do you hate me?" Zell whispered to himself while an attendant rushed over to the deck. [color=chartreuse] "Did you never learn to knock?"
"Sir The-"
"Bah-bah-bah. Go out and knock." Zell demanded.
"But sir!-"
"BAHP!" Zell made a loud noise. He hardened his look. Zell was a great person to work for, but when he said jump, you'd better jump. The attendant walked out and closed the door. A couple seconds later there was a knock. "Go away" Zell said jokingly. The attendant picked up on the joke and came in anyway. "So whazzup?"
"Hex Mark is going nuts because someone other than you rode him, and that horse we had to let go...it took off and thetre was FIRE...FIRE! The attendant pleaded. Zell looked at him and nodded, he looked at Roderick and sighed. He looked back to the attendant. Zell didn't smell alcohol on his breath. Great, pony with superpowers and his own super-equestrian horse are wreaking havok.
[color:3167= Chartreuse] "Send Thorgron to alm Hex, since Hex seems to trust him.... I'll have the S.T.A.R.K corps look for that horse." abnd with that Zell made a call and sat down to business with Roderick

For the Greater Good... I guess? Empty Re: For the Greater Good... I guess?

Post by Hanna June 13th 2013, 12:46 am

Sunrise was drawing close, but now it was too close.  Someone could see her change... someone... The massive black unicorn cleared a fallen tree with no problem. But her limbs were trembling, that hay she had eaten... something bad must have been in it... Unicorns couldn't digest the weirdest things, corn for example.
The energy she had moments ago began to seep out of her limbs. Then Anya slowed to a stop, collapsing to her knees behind a copse of trees. She would be fine, she just needed to rest.  Then the black unicorn flopped down, her massive head bowed low to the ground. Her horn, unlike the rest of her body was a pearly white, glimmering spiral. It was worth millions of dollars on the magical black market due to the magic stored in it. But, it wasn't like just anyone could touch it. Her body would heat up to several thousand degrees and scorch whom ever would try and take it. Steam whooshed out of her nose as her body tried to expel excess heat. It was drawing close to sunrise, Anya stood tiredly, she would probably sleep for a few hours after she turned back. There was a thicker amount of trees with a stream farther back. All of her weapons were hidden here, along with her mortal clothing. As soon as the rays of sun peaked over the edge, the unicorn began to shrink until there was a girl with black brown hair in her place.  Her eyes the same color of dark blue that the Unicorn's eyes had been. Anya shivered and climbed up the tree, barefoot. Wearing nothing except for a pair of shorts and a black tank top several sizes too small. In the middle of the tree there was a hollow. She pulled out a sweatshirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. She pulled those on with ease and then pulled out her wallet, bow, and quiver. She slung the quiver over her back, slid the wallet into her pocket and then continued on the way to where she would sleep a few hours.
