Slyblade looked at his watch but he still had plenty of time before the armoured car showed up on this part of the pacific coast highway. He wondered what kind of convoy would accompany the haul. It probably wouldn't matter: he had enough bot to that care of almost anything, and just in case he would need to retreat quickly his submarine was very nearly. It wasn't the first job he had dreamed about, he would've like something way more impressive, and with a bigger reward in the end. But it was probably a better idea to try something a little more easy for his first try. What if he failed? Nobody would take him seriously and he would have no chance of ever achieving his goal. The convoy wasn't the haul of the century but still, a billion in diamond weren't something you just passed by.

His plan was simple: at this hour there wasn't anybody on the highway, except for his target. So he would simply set up an accident scene has an ambush. The main element was a pretty big motorcycle right in the middle of the way which would force the armoured car to slow down to avoid it in case they wouldn't stop to check on the rider lying on the side of the road nearly. He would personally incarnate the victim role, helmet hiding his mask, leather jacket and moto trousers disguising his suit. He needed to be close and in the open to propel some of his knives in the tires to flatten them and force the vehicle to stop. Then everything would be quite easy. He had a lot of robot minion ready to jump on the road and quickly neutralise the guards, while other would pierce the blindage, he hoped the power tools would be enough to cut trough it...

One of his unit, hiding way ahead on the road, sent him the warning he was waiting for: the target was approaching. He placed the motorcycle and himself and waited, hand on his throwing knives inside the leather jacket. He only had to wait now...

Post by Troglodyte on April 7th 2013, 9:50 pm

Manfred gentle stroked his rather pointy chin as he Delighted in the Deliciously Dramatic, Devious Derailment he had planned for the armoured transport that was now speeding along the highway below him. It was a simple plan, granted, but he had always been far more fond of simple plans, rather than overtly complex heists. After all, the more stages a plan had, the more things could go wrong, and the more contagiencies one had to plan just in case. He did not have the time nor the patience for that sort of work. No, Manfred would just swoop down from the heavens, slice the engine in twain, beat the snot out of the guards, disarm them, slice open the car and escape with as much diamonds as he could carry whilst leaving the poor drivers no doubt what Deranged, Daring Dastardly Diabolical Deviant they had encountered in the desert! With any luck he might even hit the morning news with this sort of heist. Especially if he made sure to make a good show out of it.

He spun around in the air flamboyantly, placing him directly in the position so that the meagre wind would cause his cape to flutter dramatically behind him. You had to have some class, after all, and even though he was pretty certain nobody was watching him up here amongst the clouds it was no excuse to slack off. The Aristocratic Gentleman then spun around and descended through the clouds, swiftly approaching the car as it drove. However, it did not take him long to notice the "accident" that had conveniently occured in front of the transport. Normally he would not be suspicious, but considering he knew about this 'top secret' occurrence, he suspected that he was not the only one privvy to the information. There had been info circling the underworld about this transport for quite some time and anyone in the know could have sold the information to any and all takers. The accident was just a little too convenient. Or unconvenient rather, since it would potentially mean more competition.

However, there was little he could do to mitigate this now. After all, it would be rather cruel to preemptively slaughter the "victim" of the "accident" since there was a fairly large chance that it might be genuine, and while he was indeed a villain, he was not a homicidal maniac. You had to have some standards, even in a buisness so cutthroat and ruthless as the one he had gotten involved in. He gracefully dove down, landing on the hood of the car, causing the man driving to hit the break and the man next to him to spit coffee all over the windshield. He then proceeded to jam his supercharged umbrella into the engine and wiggle it around a bit, causing the car to make strange noises before falling completely quiet. Unfortunately, this caused oil to spill onto his precious umbrella, but no worries. He could always get another later on.

As the men quickly exited their cars, Guns drawn Gentleman sliced one of the man's weapons to two with his umbrella whilst offhandedly throwing a coin at the other , loading it with just enough power to cleave the barrel of the weapon. Easy-peasy, yet elegantly done.

"Good evening ol' beans. I hate to interfere with your little outting, but I have decided to rob you. Sorry to make a fuss."
He said theatrically, bowing flamboyantly to the two disarmed guards, who were looking at him with a mixture of fear and disbelief.

"However, if it is any comfort you can tell your hypothetical children that you had the dubious pleasure of being robbed by me, The BlueBlooded Gentleman thief!" he said boastfully whilst dramatically swishing his cape. He was quite dissapointed that his name seemed to go unrecognized through the ears of the two men.

"I have been on the news. Several times. That aerial combat in. . . Nevermind! You plebeian pair of Drunken, Doddering Dullards would not understand greatness if it jumped out and bit you in the nose! Now off with you! I have some diamonds to help myself too! Toodle pip!" he continued, his theatrical voice making his annoyance and displeasure obvious as he flew around to th eback of the car, to slice it open. The two guards decieded that they were not paid enough to deal with costumed madmen, and so ran off into the desert, presumably to watch the events unfurl from a safer distance.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Slyblade on April 8th 2013, 3:39 pm

What the?

The robot still looking in the direction of their target noticed an abnormality. There was someone in the sky, rapidly falling, no swooping on the armoured car. A thief! A thief stealing what he was going to steal!

It was unfortunate.

Slyblade quickly got himself and the motorcycle up, firing the engine to ride it. He was fast but technology was far faster. At the same time he ordered his minion to jump out of their holes and close in on the armoured car. But they were bound to reach it only after the motorcycle did, especially since their master was currently stepping on the accelerator. Even the closest one, who was giving him information about what was going on. He soon arrived on the crime scene, just in time to see the two guards fleeing and his contender toward the end of the car. Probably going to break in somehow. He couldn't see any weapon or tool and his robot hadn't been able to have a clear picture of the fight with the two guards. Maybe it was some kind of power like his own? Or a weapon hidden on him. Hard to tell with this outfit, Slyblade couldn't believe the guy was actually wearing a cape, the outdated clothing was one thing, you couldn't discuss someone's tastes but everybody must be knowing by now that capes are highly impractical. The guy was indeed a poseur, far too dramatic, maybe he could use this flaw against him. His eye catches the reflect of the sun on one of the two broken firearm on the ground. This guy sure was a show of with this outfit but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous: theses weapon weren't just neutralised, they were wholly ruined, thoroughly smashed, dead wrecked.

He stopped the motorcycle merely yards away from the theft, facing him, and took of his helmet, revealing his faceless mask, while getting off the motorbike... but keeping his foot on the gas and his hand on the handlebar, just in case.

I'm sorry to interrupt but I believe this is my haul you are about to steal...

He hoped this guy would answer by talking, that would give him enough time to react if he didn't liked the answer. For the moment he was alone. He still had like, twenty seconds before the first robot could show up and anyone who ever got in a fight can tell you that's an eternity when punches flies. Even more when superpowered were involved.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Troglodyte on April 9th 2013, 5:32 pm

Gentleman raised his umbrella as he was about to slice open when he heard the motorcycle and spun around, putt the umbrella dapperly over his shoulder in a gesture that was obviously trained to look lazy and gracefull at the same time, making it painfully obvious that he had a certain rather unhealthy obsession with certain theatrical stylishness. Just to to put empaphis on his theatricality he started to float, hovering barely an inch or so above ground, turning around, to face the man, seemingly without moving a muscle.

The man had a rather peculiar "faceless" facemask, wich the gentleman quickly decided he approved of. It had a certain style, that many of his colleagues lacked nowadays. He adjusted his monocle slightly as he quirked an eyebrow to create an expression of quizzical amusement with such an expertize that could only have been achieved through many hours of practice in front of the mirror

"My, my. Look at you. I quite like the mask, very imaginative." he spoke slowly, his theatrical, snooty voice dripping with smugness. His quirked eyebrow and into a concieted, arrogant smile as the man pointed out that the truck and the valuble cargo it held belonged to him.

"Dreadfully sorry my good man, but I believe that I have already claimed this 'Ice' as the hoodlums call it. First come first served and whatnot, you know. Better luck next time, ol' bean" The gentleman retorted, still smug and arrogant, and still in the same theatrical manner.

"If it is any comfort to you, I will not begrudge you the privilige of taking what remains after I have absconded with the stones of my choice. After all, I doubt I can carry them all. And even if that were the case, I am a rather discerning customer. Most of stones will not, as they say 'cut it' ." he continued whilst charging up his clothes and possessions with energy. After all, there was no telling if this man would be comfortable with sloppy seconds after him.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Slyblade on April 9th 2013, 9:05 pm

Slyblade sighed. At least his analysis of the guy seemed quite accurate. Flight, and he seemed to have been about to it the car with his umbrella before the faceless genius interrupted him. It was probably his weapon: maybe it hidden some kind of generator, of again, it could have been a power. The man was also arrogant. And he didn't seemed really smart, but sure was thinking that he was. Another advantage for him.

I'm afraid that just can't be... I do believe that a fine gentleman like you know some things about diamonds. I do know enough not to be fooled, as you must since you know that some diamond won't "make the cut" as you put it. With these little things it's not about quantity, and more about the four C, cut, clarity, colour and carat. Thus by removing even one stone, just the right one more than half the haul value could disappear. This isn't really an acceptable deal for me...

A rogue martial artist, living on the street and doing illegal combat for had once told Slyblade that a master must plan three moves ahead of his adversary in order to win. He had defeated him by planning five moves ahead. His eyes were rapidly moving behind his ask, embracing the scene, noticing details... that could make him won. His actual fighting styles may be outmatched but science...

Science would solve any problem.

Also, since I've been waiting for hours here I believe I'm, in fact, first... so... that mean you are an pushful newcomer upstart.

The last sentence was only a diversion, luring the other man into thinking that he was pursuing the conversation. Also this slur had quite some chance to make his opponent angry and push him to make a mistake. But he already had thought of all of this, and he was in fact, doing his first move.

He suddenly pressed his foot on the gas of the motorcycle, launching it toward his opponent like a missile, sending himself spinning a full circle because of the forward move of his leg. It wasn't a fair move, it wasn't even a common move... but it was still not that hard to dodge or parry, heck the guy would probably have no problem slicing the engine in two, even if his opponent was surprised. But even surprised the guy would probably act dramatically, and whatever move he did it would probably leave an opening.
Slyblade finished his spinning motion in the same heartbeat, his hand already on the handle of the throwing knife, he had very little time to see the openings and choose one. He send is blade fast, trying to harm his opponent's hand to make him lose the umbrella in case it really was his weapon. He could have attempted to kill the guy but he had decided to try to keep him alive. Maybe he could built himself a reputation in the super world out of this job after all, if the guy ever spoked of his defeat.

And if he couldn't... well he already had another plan to bring the snob thief down. The guy really wasn't forward thinking apparently, that or he just hadn't noticed. Both probably.
That didn't meant that he didn't checked his opponent reaction, after all you don't sell the hide of a bear before having actually killed it.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Troglodyte on April 10th 2013, 7:41 pm

As the man spoke his piece about the diamonds the gentleman was honestly surprised. Quite a few of the villains that these sorts of robbery were hardly the sort that did their homework before they struck. His own knowledge of diamonds was hardly enough to make him an expert, but he knew what to look for when picking the winners from the losers. Unfortunately his knowhow on the subject would probably make him even less inclined to accept his terms and back off. Oh well, he had not really expected him to do it anywya. the supervillains that had done so could have been easily ocunted on his right hand. The technology-based miscreant called Spring-heeled Jack was pretty much the only one thus far.

However, despite the fact that they would almost inevitably metaphorically clash blade any second now, The Gentleman had no intention of making the first move. He knew very little about what this man could do, but he assumed that he was confident in his own abilities. After all, he had likely seen how he took out the guards earlier. No doubt, he was doing the same thing as gentleman was doing, waiting and seeing. However, despite the tension, Gentlemans expression remained smug and somewhat aloof, as he adjusted his hat somewhat.
"Ah! A fellow connouiseur I see. How delightful!" He said, his manners still smug and superior

"Well spotted, my good man! Well spotted indeed! Still, you can hardly blame me for trying.!" He continued, as he waited for the other man to make the first move, he was ready for it. However, he was slightly surprised, when the other man spoke up, explaining that he had been there longer and put up an ambush made him entitled to the booty. Gentleman snorted derisively at the comment, the smug smile on his lips giving way to an expression of contempt. It was quite clear that he did not think much of the man in front of him.

"Now, now. Your manners betray you breeding, plebeian. I have been more than gracious with you, even offering you to partake in my plunder. And calling me an upstart to boot!? You're quite the mouthy one." He said, this time, his own good manners and polite words gone. Even though his voice still had the theatrical intonation it was fill with contempt and haughty arrogance.

However, the mockery had been a ruse, and it had almost succeeded. Luckily, his metahuman origins had blessed manfred with inhumanly quick reflexes and the rigourous fencing-training had tempered those reflexes into a split-second reaction time. He raised his umbrella, slicing the flying motorcycle into two pieces, wich passed harmlessly on either side of the fancily dressed gentleman, He saw the knife fly at him, and quickly grabbed a fold of his cape, sweeping it in front of him. It was fully charged with his peculiar brand of kinetic energy, causing the knife to bounce of harmlessly against it, as if it had smacked against armoured steel, rather than to tear through it that would normally be the case.

"Knives? Oh my, how quaint." Gentleman said smugly, his voice sounded bored and unimpressed, but just like the man had been doing either, he was out to provoke, cause rash behaviour, find an opening.

He swiftly flew into the air, grabbing a coin, hurling it at the man. However, unlike an ordinary coin, this one was loaded up with kinetic energy, giving it enough durability and speed to smash through a tank without even slowing down.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Slyblade on April 11th 2013, 2:45 pm

If his mask hadn't hide it maybe the flying dandy would have noticed Slyblade smirk. Just as he had expected, hoped even, his opponent had cut the motorcycle in half and given him precious information about his power. So not only he could fly and easily cut through metal with an umbrella but his clothes made his high quality throwing knife bounce away. A power was the only explanation. If only Slyblade could have practised a vivisection to find out how it was working, maybe duplicate it... but it would've been rude to vivisect someone else.

His smile broke a little wider when the man had the nerve to say that his knifes were quaint... with such a wardrobe? and using an umbrella has a weapon? It didn't make him angry though. There wouldn't be a lot of insult to make him angry: his they were wrong then he would prove them wrong at the right moment, if they were right... then it would be almost like constructive criticism.
Also that was what his opponent wanted. A rather dumb idea, using the same tactic as him right after him. It only made Slyblade see the attack even sooner. The dandy took something in his pocket, from were he was standing it looked like...

A coin?

Fortunately the robotic genius was smart enough to sidestep before the coin was actually launch. He was rather shocked by the speed of the small piece of metal, and almost tumbled when it hit the ground, shattering the asphalt right next to him. Dangerous indeed. Must be some kind of kinetic energy, but there also had to be something else: the frail umbrella should have broken long ago if it was only kinetic energy.

However he still had another plan set in motion. In fact he only had the final step to take... but now that the guy was flying it would be a lot more harder. Better try more things. In case more coins were to come he move to stand right next to the armoured vehicle.

Interesting...

He hoped his opponent wouldn't take the risk to destroy or squander the loot by throwing more coin like this one. But he also took the time to take a quick look into the front of the car, were the guards seat were. You never knew what you could find, and what he wanted was pretty common... gotcha! He greedily seized the item, taking note that having one on him could be a good idea if he eve was in a similar situation. Hiding it in his palm he quickly turned to face his opponent again.
He still didn't liked the situation, the only plans he had were based on his opponent stupidity, and anybody can be struck by a good idea from time to time. Or at least not have the bad one...

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Troglodyte on April 11th 2013, 9:55 pm

Gentlemans face once again split apart into a wide, condescending grin as his opponent sidestepped the coin. And he could see that he did not expect the force and intensity behind his attack. He chortled in an amused manner as the man once again looked up to him. Despite the fact that he was flying he took a somewhat leisurly pose, as if he was leaning against an imaginary wall, giving of an air of someone relaxing in an exceptionally laid-back way. In order to add a little extra flamboyance to the act, he twirled his umbrella effortlessly, in a very Charlie Chaplin-esque way. However, despite all this apprant nonchalance, his eyes were peeled and his limbs were tense like coiled springs, ready to move quickly in case the man was trying to take action against him.

"Bravo sir, bravo! I must admit that was quite an impressive footwork there, ol' bean." He said smugly in a good natured manner, seemingly missing the condescendign tone of his earlier statements. as he started to sink lower to the ground. He had quite the Delicious, Definately Dastardly Demonstration of his abilities in mind. But he figured he must do it quickly, otherwise the lethal effects of his plan would be spoiled.

Said and done th Vanglorious, Vain, Vicious Villain suddenly dove to the ground at superhuman speeds, stopping just above the ground, where he grabbed a handfull of sandy dirt, wich he charged. One coin could be dodged pretty easily, but since each of these particles had more than enough strength to smash through a bunker, he was suspected that the man would not have it so easy.

He hurled the supercharged handfull of dust in the general direction of the man, not caring that it would most likely destroy some of the diamonds, after all, he could not carry all of them anyway. And if riches was the reason he was engaging in criminal activity, he might aswell scrap the whole Blue-blooded Gentleman thief thing and become a crooked accountant instead.

"Now this is a tad more sporting, wouldn't you say, ol' bean?" he said triumphantly before engaging in a slight chotle. Even though most of the particles would miss, it was nigh-impossible to dodge them all, and even MORE impossible to block them. Sure enough, the transport was sliced to bits, holes littering part of it, causing it to look like a particurlarly large block of hollow Swiss cheese.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Dustin Waugh on April 13th 2013, 1:19 pm

It was a good afternoon and he seen that there was a commotion on the highway he was on. He seen there was an accident and another truck that looked like and armor truck that carried big money. He got irritated now and decided to put his normal life behind him for a while and go superhero and move the mess so he could continue on with the vacation he was suppose to be having. He was suppose to be traveling down this highway in the act of hurrying to a friendly game of poker with others that he had found at work.

As he neared the scene he saw people running. He quickly grabbed a woman by her arms and asked her to catch her breath. She breathed heavily until she was a little calmed down. He asked what was going on and she answered. "Thank you, but there are guys up there fighting and, and they have meta powers. I bet they are working for those evil people. They seem to be robbing our armored truck." He let her go and she started running again until she hit a place to hide at. Hmm? There are a lot of evil people, but he was not going to pin point facts. He continued his walk up there until he entered the scene.

Metas she said well they don't look that strong. He talked to another person and they told him they both to appear to be after the armored truck. Well it's a first come first serve type thing. He thought of a way he could get these two out of here in a hurry. One guy who appeared wouldn't be a thief had thrown sand at the guy but it was faster than what he could throw the shit. They both looked like decent people and wondered if they were just fighting it out do to hatred. He did not care he was just going to remove them from the road like a good Samaritan. He held his fist closed tight as his energy erupted out of him. It took some time but he decided to take energy from the crashed car and the armored truck as well the energy mixed with his as he projected a sphere in front of him. And next was darkness. The dark spot or shadowy areas around and also from random spots darkness merged with the energy creating a sphere of a flowing black and blue color. The people he stopped all had uniforms so they must have been scared away by the violent actions from these two.

He looked at the two as he grasped the sphere in is hands and continued to charge it. When it was fully charged he would unleash it. He flew up high and stayed out of peritoneal vision so they did not see him. Hopefully it would be too late for them and he could settle this with one attack. It was a lot to control at one time since he has not used a charged attack in a long time, but it was not that hard.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Slyblade on April 14th 2013, 4:10 pm

When Sly saw the attack he didn't had any other choice but to curl up, arms raised above his head so that he could see enough to attempt to use his telekinesis to modify the trajectories of the more menacing projectiles. Still that was pretty close, he heard the metal shatter behind him as the truck was also ripped apart...

He felt something hot drip on his suit and flow on his left arm skin. Did a shard of metal got into his arm? His left hand felt... kind of numb... He looked up at it.
He didn't had a left hand anymore, it had been chopped off clean at the wrist by one of the projectile he didn't had enough mental strength to deflect.

Oh crap...

On the bright side the pain was apparently so great that his brain was plainly shutting it down. On the other he was losing blood. He was surprised when his mind began to wander, thinking that all this blood really ruined his suit, he should create a self cleaning suit. He came back to reality and sealed the flowing artery with the power of his mind. It wasn't much but it would prevent him from dyeing of blood loss. He got up, legs a little weak.

Oh gosh... and to think it looked like an easy job. Now I'm amputated, my suit is ruined and the haul probably lost more than half it's value...

It wasn't totally true, most of the "lost" value was probably spattered around, his robots could probably pick the diamonds one by one from the ground. Diamonds coulds survive many things, maybe even the attack of this super... His watch beeped and he looked at it almost in disbelief, his left hand had just been maimed but the watch on the wrist attached to it still worked? However it was only bad news: new threat detected.

... and looks like we have got even more company... at least my watch is intact.

He didn't cared to look shallow at the moment, he just let out a sign of relief as he pressed the screen of the watch, activating his invisibility field. It wouldn't last long though. He still had battery issues with it, but he still had the lighter and his opponent clothes would still be full of the gas that had spattered on it as he wretched the armored transport, and even more from when he had cut his bike in half, letting the two halves of the tank splatter generously his cape and trousers with the fuel. If the so called Gentleman won his fight he still would have a sure way to get ride of him, at least long enough to flee.

He walked away, trying not to give his position. He had been reckless putting himself in dangerous situation like that. Now he was just going to hide and wait for an occasion. His robots were nearby now, they began to move more slowly, not to drawn attention to themselves. Hiding. Some already collected some diamonds from the ground if they could spot it. Let's watch and wait, he would intervene in time, plan something out, set up a trap, whatever... And meanwhile if the two guys occupied each other enough maybe he could at least properly finish his robbery.

Next time he wouldn't do anything fancy. Just robbing a bank would be good enough.

This robbery had gone on for far longer than he had anticipated, and to be honest, it was growing slightly dull, fighting against this bothersom individual. He had expeced a quick, easy caper, a few diamonds to bring home, a little story to tell the other people down at the pub and most importantly, An article in the paper, Maybe heist could even be considered front-page material if the journalists were having a 'dry spell'! With some luck, he might even end up on the prime-time news! He always loved when they talked about him like he was some sort of demoniacal evil supervillain with all the words listening! The only problem is that they always used that old picture from when he fought those assasins. His cape was ripped and his clothes were dirty in that picture. He would have to be sighted somewhere where people would be able to get another picture. One that did NOT catch him in dirty clothes from his worst side.

However, despite all this, he could not help but to think that he might have gone a trifle to far with the whole kinetically charged sand-throwing dealie. It had not occured to him that the results could be so. . . Grizly. It usually ended up being either entirely dodged or it totally obliterated an enemy, but never had it ended up in such a disgustingly distrubing way before. As he watched the massive amounts of blood pool underneath the stump that was all that remained of the man's left arm he could not help but to feel guilty. Sure, this had been a life-or-death battle and all that, but dismemberment was cruel. Very cruel. Almost too cruel. Oh, sure, gentleman had killed before. Not often, mind you, but occasionally push came to shove and all that, but he had never crippled.

strangely it felt worse than killing. When he killed he ended a man's life in a blaze of glory, those last few seconds of pain ended to give way to oblivion, but with crippling, he simply could not think it was all over. This man may still have his life, but it would be a broken life filled with pain and decline. A life of pain, wich might just last for decades. He could barely bear thinking about it.

"I-I'm sorry, but you gave me no choice." He said rather sheepishly to the man, the smugness and arrogancy almost gone from his voice, along with the theatricality. The Blueblooded Gentleman thief had obviously been shaken back from his supervillanous fantasy-world by the severity He quickly moved forward, slicing up a hole in the side of the armoured car, going inside. He was rather stressed with the sudden dismemberment and thus he barely took a look at the remaining diamonds. Quite a few of them had fallen onto the floor, or simply flew out throught the wall of the veichle, when his super-charged sandblasts turned the car into swiss cheese, but there was some remaining. Some of them looked clear enough to be quite valuble, and the gentleman quickly grabbed them, wasting no time before shoving them into his coat-pockets.

He exited the car, quickly, noticing that the man he had fought had dissapeared, probably ran off or somesuch. Probably for the best, since there was little the man could do in his current state other than squirt blood on his suit and collapse from pain and such. With any luck he would end up going to a hospital. After all, medical science had come along way in the last few years, so he might just get a decent prosthetic done, enabling him to live a somewhat normal life. Either way, he should have known whom he was dealing with beforehand. The Gentleman may not have laser-cannons or muscles the scize of bathtubs, but he was still a force to be recknoned with!

That was when he noticed the other man flying in the air. He had apprantly been there for a while, since seemed to be on the verge of charging up an attack. "Hardly any need for that, ol' bean. I have concluded my buisness here. There are plenty of precious stones still in the car, and they are yours for the taking, my friend.. " Gentleman said with a smile, as he started to hover away from the car, staying in the air, not taking his eyes from the man's attack. Discretely one of his hands picked out a handfull of coins from his pocket. . .

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

He had his attack fully charged. The guy had went in leaving that man on the ground in pain. Well that's very cruel for even a villain to do. I will have to stop him now. As the other guy stumbled to his feet he decided to intercept the other man. He raced over before he took flight, but once he did he was very fast. He stopped and held both hands out pointing at the guy in the act of hitting him in the back since he liked to high tail it out of there. The attack zeroed in very quickly filling up the space in between them.

As the attack raced Dustin shouted out to both of them. You are not leaving. I come here to stop you from taking what little money the defenseless humans had to hold. You best be ready because I will be your opponent now. Looking at the guy he sharpened his anger and boosted the attack. You could tell its destructive power because when it was flying through the air even though he was so high it still had enough force behind it to have the air stream it made pick up tons of sand. As it neared it had a small sand storm behind it.

He looked at the other guy as he placed his right hand pointing at him. Even though you can probably do no further damage I still have to stop you. You are a villain and I am a man bent on helping society even if I have to kill to get my way. As he finished talking black bars started shooting out of the ground all around the downed man. As this happened they slowly in twined together and started forming a black bared cage so he could hold that guy in it. It would be an easy way to make sure that guy did not escape so he could finish the other guy.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Sly was beginning to go away when suddently his invisibility field dropped.

What the?

He rapidly touched the screen of his watch, the invisibility got back... one second. Then it dissipated again.

Shit! Must be because of the energy fluctuation...

He hadn't though of that while creating the invisibility device but it would be fairly simple to correct if he had the time to do it. But he didn't... maybe if he could find five minutes of peace during the battle, it was all a matter of programming it to adapt itself to the swings. He turned back to the new challenger.
Oh great, a do-gooder... these guys were so short sighted. Sure they were trying to be good but they lacked a little someting, a vision, a dream. If only they could realise that he was trying to find more definitives solutions to all of the worlds problem.
Well maybe the moment he was raising funds for his project wasn't the best. He had to admit. Still he chocked a little when the guy said he was probably harmless. Did people really expected him to stop just because he was missing a hand? Great error. He was a little surprised when he pulled the cage of darkness out of nowhere... but he did so to concentrate immediately on the other robber.

Slyblade put the lighter in the pocket of his jacket and summoned Neuron his nanorobot knife. He then walked to the back of the prison and, without saying a word, slashed his way through it. He had to admit, it was harder than usual: nanorobots helped a lot but the material was thick and strange. Still, it wasn't really a problem... It was like using a real knife against rope. Then he gave order to move to his robots, the new guy had created a sandstorm, apparently just for show, and they would easily hide in, coming from his back without him noticing.
Then Slyblabe quickly walked away to hide behind the armoured truck. He just needed a little time to pull himself together think of a plan... So he had a guy using energy and darkness, and another charging things with kinetic energy... and both flew. He remembered the snarly comment of the gentleman about his knifes being "quaint". He had to admit that in situations likes that the lack of ranged attack was inconvenient... food for thought like the self cleaning suit.

The gentleman had figured that the new arrival had been trouble the first second he had set eyes on him! After all, this man might be a REAL Super-hero/villain unlike second-stringers such as himself and the one-armed bandit over there. He was not too fond of being a B-lister, but when there were people out there who could take a tank-shell to the face without even flinching and flash-freeze half of manhattan without effort for an encore, he wasn't all that dangerous by comparison. His fears seemed justified when the man decided to unleash his abilities on the two of them, Seemingly catching the villain in some sort of a force-cage of darkness and whatnot, before causing strong winds to blow in his general direction.

He was quite convinced that this would go badly, a man with controll over wind and some sort of warped darknes-thinga-majigg-powers. He might just face someone whom he can not compete with here. And to make matters worse, this man was obviously a flier too, so escaping him would be harder than pulling a quick getaway on those pesky landlubbers he usually contended with. He could almost smell the shit hitting the fan as he responded to this offer or looting what remained of the veichle himself. A do-gooder. A megapowerfull do-gooder. He wished he had not disarmed (what a delicious pun) his previous opponent, so that they could team up against this man. Together they might have a better chance.

"Alas, I was afraid you might say something like that, my good man. Unfortunately, I do not just yeild to any old unimaginative, absurbdly dressed excuse for a halfwitted simpleton such as yourself. EN GARDE! " The gentleman said in his theatrically arrogant manner, smugness radiating off of him, like metaphorical light from an equally metaphorical lightbulb whilst he adjusted his monocle ever so slightly mostly to show off how unimpressed he was by the newcommer. It was all quite a facade, though. He was actually quite scared.

Obviously this man was going all out from the get-go. The sand started to swoop faster, and it actually hurt. Luckily he could fly higher later on to avoid the brunt of it, but there was something he had to do first.

"Bah, you uncouth twit! Your sandstorm will kill the people on the ground far quicker than it will kill me." He shouted out in his steady theatrical voice. It was fairly obvious that there was not an ounce of real passion behind the outburst. It was all theatrics. However, the next thing he did might just have very real consequences for the man. He hurled threw the fully charged pennies at the newcommer, and the kinetic charge he had given them were more than enough to avoid being derailed by the currents. It would take far more than that to stop his attack.

He then wrapped his cloak around him and put a protective charge into it, causing it to stiffen, It would give him some protection from the sand. whilst he quickly flew upwards into the sky, away from the ground and all its troubles.

"Keep the changte!" he hollered triumphantly as he flew, uncertain of wether the words would reach the man at all, through the howling winds.

First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte) Empty Re: First job (Troglodyte, Dustin Waugh if it's fine with Troglodyte)

Post by Dustin Waugh on April 16th 2013, 8:22 pm

As Dustin had his eyes set on the farthest person he seemed to have dodged his attack and then threw something. It glimmered in the sun and he dodged it as good as possible. The coins crashed into the ground causing some damage. The guy said earlier about people being killed but he was not worried as he smiled and closed his eyes. He looked back at him as he held out one hand and simulated a pointing towards higher up. His attack then slowed down and shot up and increased speed. Since it was already close it would be harder to dodge.

The sand died down before anything bad happened. And as all of it happened something caught his focus. He looked over at his cage as the guy had cut his way out. He clapped his hands together as giant black and blue spikes pierce through the ground going straight for the guy. Was he running away or was he gaining ground. He could fight both but it would be hard. He held out both hands waiting for their next attack. He would also have to lure them both to him if he was to fight them without having to let one escape.
