Re: The Wonders of the World (Trog and Widower)
The gentleman flew over the streets, gazing back at the strange man as he wasted little time in picking up the Generously Gifted Gems and his gun before calmly walking out of there. He realized that he might have misjudged this man. He may have introduced himself as a common robber, but his sut, the way he moved and carried himself, but most of all, the way he kept his head cool all indicated that he was something more, something far greater than he had initially given him credit for. Especially when considering the way he had dodged out of the way of his initial bullets, no ordinary man could perform a feat such as that. Heck, very few of the extraordinary could pull off that kinda stunt. He had no reason to suspect that it had been anything else than a coincidental meeting. After all, his little excursion to the jewelry had been a one-person job, and even though he got it on commission, the plan was all his own. Nobody could have known that he had planned to escape through the sewers, especially not where he planned to set off the bomb so that he could go back to the surface. Still, it might be prudent to keep an eye out for this man, in case he turned up "coincidentally" during any of his other jobs in the near future.
Due to the darkness it would probably be pretty hard to see him against the star-spangled sky, most would probably assume that it was a shadow of some sort or a particuralrly handsome bird. Ah, the night was the trustworthy ally of any Fleeing, Flying Felon that wanted to avoid the attention of dull old party-pooping policemen. After a few minutes of flight soon hovered into his temporary hideout through the window that he had left open. The modest "hideout" consisted of a rather cheap hotel-room rented under an assumed name. Not the most exclusive of estates, but more than enough to keep him hidden untill it was time for the big payoff. After all, it would not be prudent to head back home with all these stolen gems in his possessions. It was one of Wilfreds golden rules. Never mix your professional and personal lives, because it would lead to nothing but trouble.
Gentleman quickly quickly threw himself on the couch and turned on the TV and starting to furiously click on the remote to see if any of the news-channels had something to report on his little theft. He casually divested himself of his tophat wich he put on a nearby table and his cape wich he threw over the back of the couch, before pouring himself a glass of champagne from a bottle already conveniently standing on the table, as a small celebration of his victory.

Re: The Wonders of the World (Trog and Widower)
The Widower spent his night on the rooftop, cleaning and polishing his guns and his poor revolver. It had gotten a new scratch or two from sliding it across the ground. “There there.” he had told the gun, “It’s just another scar for a great warrior like you, Michelle.” Maybe people considered it crazy to be talking to a gun, but Audrey thought it kept him sane. A maniac with guns was a bad gunman, after all. He could still hear the sirens from where he was sitting, and he remembered looking down and seeing the cop cars driving to the scene of the explosion. He thought it rather hilarious, actually. There must have been news footage, but Audrey preferred to distance himself from it. He considered going to his New York apartment, but it was further away from the action, and required actually having to get up and leave his nest. He pulled out his SMG from its holster under his jacket and started polishing that too. “Sorry, Sally-Marie, that you didn’t get to see daylight, today. I promise, next round, you’ll get the blood of a super.”
Half way through, he decided that he was famished enough to have to leave his nest. He adjusted his SMG holster, which was not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it worked enough to keep it concealed, and started his descent down to the ground. There was a 24/7 supermarket nearby, so he went over there to pick up a snack and a drink. He was a rich guy, for sure, but he preferred to save his money for more meaningful things, rather than just sustenance. He needed to find a place to crash for the night and his apartment was pretty much on the other side of New York. In the end, he decided to walk as far as his legs would take him and see where he ended up once he was tuckered out. Then look for the closest lodgings and stay there. He didn’t have a lot to do, really, most of his time was spent reminding himself of the faces of the man he had just met. He picked up some milk from the store, avoiding eye contact with anyone as to not disrupt his image of the Gentleman, as well as a pack of crisps. What, a man couldn’t indulge himself in unhealthy things once in a while?
He left and headed off to the opposite direction of the building he had nested at. He thought about it, and it was the same direction the Gentleman had flown off to earlier. At the moment, he wasn’t too concerned with the man, he was concerned with filling his stomach and avoiding suspicion. Of course, what was less suspicious than a man in a fine suit in the dead of night with crisps and milk? Nothing.

Re: The Wonders of the World (Trog and Widower)
As David walked out of the store with his milk, he saw the gentleman floating in the air. It strangely reminded him of Mary Poppins, what with the umbrella. He quickly put on his goggles and turned them on. These would be able to track him. David didn't really know why he decided to get himself into more trouble. Guess he decided to be an idiot for tonight. As he followed the tracks of the gentleman he bumped into the hit man from earlier. He was hoping that he hadn't notice him. "Sorry". He quickly bowed his head down and rushed away from the hit man. He made it to the place the gentleman stopped. It was a rather nice looking hotel.

Re: The Wonders of the World (Trog and Widower)
. . . Aand there it was! A sudden news bulletin about the daring robbery of a jewel-store. Seemingly the perpertator is known to the police, even though they have yet to actually identify him. Manfred grinned to himself as he heard that. Obviously they had no idea who he was, otherwise they would not ask anyone if they had seen anything suspicious. They talked a whole lot about him escaping, calling it "the crime of the decade", and although he felt quite a bit pleased with the title, he was well aware that there was probably going to be another "crime of the decade" committed by some other forward-thinking individual in the same line of work in a couple of months, but still, at the moment he had pulled the current holder of the title of "crime of the decade"
Part of him wanted to call the police to tell them that he, the Blue-blooded Gentleman Thief had committed the crime, just so that he could bask in their attention and glory for a while. However, he knew that this was a very stupid move. The police were probably already aware of his involvement but had kept it away from the broadcast for some reason. Maybe to lure gentleman into a safe sense of security and untouchability. However, they did not really have any reason to do it. After all, the gentleman was feeling as smug as ever at the moment, as he was lying over the couch, seemingly basking in the attention that his action had garnered from the media. He chuckled smugly to himself as he reached for the wineglass and took a slight sip. He had earned it tonight, he had completed the job, gotten away with the objective and managed to enrich himself a little bit in the proccess. A good days work indeed.

Re: The Wonders of the World (Trog and Widower)
Audrey was just planning on walking towards his home and finding a place to sell off the gems. He’d research about it, soon enough. He hadn’t much planned at all, and was actually kind of tired. Maybe not extremely tired, he still had quite a bit left in him, but tired enough to not really be bothered with doing much at all. He had discovered a new super human, and had gotten paid too. He had already been reckless enough that night, pointing a gun at someone who had just blown up a building without even thinking first. He was already condemning himself for doing so, but sometimes his actions worked a bit faster than his brain could process the consequences of doing so.
He was drinking his milk when that large buffoon had run into him. He at least didn’t drop any of the precious drink, but it made him question why the big guy was in a rush. It didn’t really matter, he had a big enough share of the action that day, and resting and leaving the man be would have been a better option. He stood there for a bit, watching the man run off, not fully understanding what he was chasing, but he shrugged and continued walking. It wasn’t really much of his business at all. Sure, that big man was the guy he was hunting, but that could be saved for a later date. He still had no big ammunitions, after all, and he wasn’t so stupid as to think of running at a big man with a revolver, no. He was going to come back with bigger ordnance.
He took his time as he walked, going at a relatively slow pace. Audrey was recollecting the moments that had happened with the Gentleman, and how the big guy seemed so incredibly nonchalant about the whole situation. Then again, the big guy was not the one with the killer umbrella pointed at him. He sighed and continued walking, and as he walked he was able to hear just a bit of the news, and apparently the crime was labelled as ‘the crime of the decade’. He was not sure how that constituted a ‘crime of the decade’ label but he was not going to judge them. Bombings were pretty big, after all, and automatically got a ranking above all other crimes of the century. Whatever. What the media thought was not going to concern him, it was all the other information about the man who had committed the crime that he wanted for future reference.
(Aaaaand Exuent The Widower!)
