Re: Your Average Workweek
(Sorry for the long wait, I thought Phoenix was going to post or something but then I was informed he was not. Sorry.)
The massive sphere of fire was now ready. It was as hot as he could make it, as deadly as he could make it. Fifty feet above a street in New York now flew a seven thousand degree fiery ball of death, and it was about to explode.
"Volt! Get somewhere that seven thousand degrees won't destroy!"
Dr.Everyone closed his eyes. It took all that he could muster to hold the sphere in it's current form. But he still had the energy to initiate phase two of his game ending attack.
At the woman's right side, a massive fiery fist (which was made of at least 500 degree flames) materialized. The attack was now set. Before he could initiate his massive attack, he heard the woman shout something. He could feel the energy in the air. It was now or never.
Dr.Everyone had the fiery fist throw punches at the same time he exploded the seven thousand degree deathball outwards. Not only was the fiery fist punching at the woman, but the sphere of fire was expanding outward, consuming everything it touched. Now the fight was between his attack and the woman's attack. Her attack had a slight margin of blasting through his fire, either saving the woman completely or barely. More likely, in the Doctor's mind, was her attack dissipating when met with the fire, and the woman meeting a gruesome death.
As for Volt, the Doctor knew he was fast. If he couldn't outrun the attack, he could run in a circle fast enough to form a vortex and suck out the oxygen. Volt could handle himself, and the money. Phoenix was safe, for the most part. The only risk in the attack was the woman's life, and the Doctor was content that that outcome was a worst case scenario and that he could live with that occurrence if it happened.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Millenia was in trouble, and a lot of it. Her first attack seem to have been able to disturb the fire a little bit. However the electric kid had ran over and charged himself up from a nearby internet cafe. He added into the barrage that was headed for Millenia, and she could tell that right now it had to be all or nothing. Even with her superhuman levels of endurance, a direct hit from all of these attacks would leave her on the brink of death if she's lucky. Millenia had a plan and extended both her arms out, one at the fire attack an the other at the electrical attack. But right at the moment when she thought he had a plan for survival the fire manipulating villain added another powerful flame attack to her right. Her eyes widened in absolute disbelief, how could this guy be so powerful? There were too many things running through her head and she couldn't think straight to think of something else to do to stay alive. Suddenly something clicked and her mind was clear, Millenia knew what she had to do. It was going to hurt, but she would much rather deal with some pain than death. She clapped her hands together with her fingertips pointing towards the ground. There was a small shock wave that let out when her hands came together.
Vitae Finem!"
An arrow shaped javelin formed as she quickly pulled her hands apart. Spinning it in her hands, she brought it above her head."AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" she screamed as brought it down with all the power she could and buried the tip of it into the ground.
The contact with the ground set off the energy spear in an absolutely massive explosion which served two purposes for Millenia. First, the power of explosion would hold back the incoming attacks for a moment or negate them completely. Second, Millenia used the blast itself to propel herself up and out of the area completely. While up in the air, and holding desperately onto consciousness, she looked at the man who was attacking her. And whether he could see or not she gave a wink and a salute and she was thrown off into the distance.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt looked up, nodded at the Doctor's command, and spun around. He bolted into the back of the internet cafe and down into the basement. He waited for what seemed like forever, but in actuality was about six and a half minutes, before running upstairs and back to the battle scene. Everything was utterly destroyed, and there was a crater where the woman was. "Did we get her? Is she dead?" Volt said hopefully. "Wait. Don't answer that. Hold on, I'll be right back." He sped off and around the building, and after a moment he had returned with the unconscious Phoenix. "Alright, now tell me we killed her."

Re: Your Average Workweek
Dr.Everyone held his eyes tight, concentrating on keeping his fire strong. The woman had yelled and an explosion of power had met his fire. It was all he could do to keep his fire from being overwhelmed. Six minutes later, the area was destroyed. his fire gone. Dr.Everyone flew alone over the desolation of the area. Boiling tar was slowing down bubbling, brick and concrete melted from the walls of nearby buildings was now cooling. The woman was nowhere to be found, but the Doctor knew she was alive. He had opened his eyes and looked through the thermal imaging his helmet visor provided. Below him was a blinding white, illuminating the entire area. But he could see enough through the brightness to see the red and white in the shape of a human body flying off into the distance.
Volt came speeding out of one of the buildings. He stopped to ask about the woman and if she had died before he stopped and ran back to get Phoenix and the money. He quickly returned and the Doctor answered his question.
"Unfortunetly, yet fortunetly, no. She took the only outcome I had not accounted for and has lived. But I could not possibly care less about her state of being. The point is, we have the money. Now, let's get to the warehouse before the authorities show up. And I expect a cut of the spoils."
Dr.Everyone began to fly back the Phoenix warehouse headquarters while Volt carried Phoenix and ran there.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt shook Phoenix, trying to wake him, but he was out cold. "Oh well. Hop on buddy." he said as he heaved Phoenix onto his shoulder and took off running. He followed Doctor Everyone back to the Phoenix hideout, with Phoenix. Had he already made a Phoenix working for Phoenix joke? He couldn't remember. It was funny, when he last spoke to Phoenix he had declined to work with him, and yet here they were. Working together again. Volt grinned as he placed Phoenix against a wall in the warehouse. Hopefully he'd wake up soon. Volt turned to the Doctor and tossed him the bag full of cash. "Here ya go boss, I haven't counted it, I just grabbed as much as I could." He turned and motioned to Phoenix. "And what of your 'mini-me'?"
