Re: Your Average Workweek
"Ok, well I like the new outfit." Phoenix said. He then turned his attention to the women who was dealing with the blue haired guy.
"DarkFire is right, so if you surrender now I promise we won't hurt you. If not then you were warned." Phoenix felt light headed, DarkFire's pill was kicking in.
"Dark, what if she doesn't back down, I can't actually hurt her." Phoenix couldn't find himself attacking a women who he didn't even know.
"It's a shame, she is really cute." He thought. Phoenix grabbed a throwing knife and fire surrounded it. He held it with the blade facing the ground. "So what is the plan?"

Re: Your Average Workweek
Is this a joke? Is this kid paying any attention to what he is being told? This guy in the gear is clearly the problem here and would have to be the first to go... Millenia thought before looking over at her stolen purse, which she paid no attention to. She only had a few bucks in there, and would just cancel the credit cards once this was over. The purse was from Wal-Mart and the only other things in there were feminine products. So no major loss to her. She then quickly took in the positions of the blue haired boy and the fire starter that now had some sort of flame dagger in his hand now, after which she directed her attention to this 'doctor'. Millenia would give up when she know she wouldn't be able to win, but this poor kid was being toyed with by the man with the mask and she had to try and do something. She started off in a powerful stride towards the masked man and threw her javelins, they were aimed for the the speedy kid and the other fire manipulator's feet. She expected to miss because they only needed to be within a few feet of the spears. Millenia casually snapped with her left hand and caused the two javelins to explode, with her right hand she brought it up and pointed her index finger at the one left. A small red ball of energy began to form and charge up as she continued closer to her target.
"Cero"
The charged red energy was fired at an impressive speed and with considerable force. Since she used the incantation word and only used one finger for the beam the energy was highly condensed and would cause the maximum amount of damage from this attack.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt sifted through the magic woman's purse with considerable speed, tossing out the useless crap to get to her wallet. He opened it to find only a few dollars, and tossed the rest to the side. "It's not enough to pay for a new pair of pants, but it's a start..." he said to himself. He stuffed the money in his pocket and spun around to face the other super humans. His shoulder was numb, and he still couldn't move his left arm. Volt punched his shoulder and yelped. "Goddamnit! That always fuckin' works in the movies! What the hell!" he said through his teeth. I guess I'm goin' one armed on this one. Volt thought. He heard Dr. Everyone shouting something about mind control to Phoenix, but he didn't pay much attention, seeing as a javelin had just hit the ground right next to him. "Nice shot!" he laughed, right before the javelin exploded, sending him hurdling to the left. "Ow. Again." Volt was getting his ass kicked. And he didn't like it. Every fiber of his body told him to run, but with the Doctor and Phoenix fighting this woman, he couldn't bring himself to leave. Volt winced as he forced himself up, and practically collapsed. There was no way he'd be of any help. He was almost completely drained, so anything he tried to throw at the woman would be mediocre at best. I gotta recharge. He thought to himself.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Phoenix jumped back and did a handspring as the javelin exploded and sent him flying into the air. He put one hand down, did a hand stand, and pushed off the ground. He looked up at the women attacking him. "Damn, she's good." Phoenix thought. The dagger in his hand had fallen while he was in mid air and stuck into the side of his leg. "That hurts more than people think." He said while gritting his teeth. He pulled out the blade, and attempted to stand up. "Fuck me, what did I even do to her." he thought. Pain mixed with fear, which mixed with anger, and a fire started to surround Phoenix. it went all the way around him and very high up. It seemed he was in a laboratory tube of fire. He looked over to see Volt in pretty bad shape too. DarkFire was busy with the women so Phoenix too a second to think. "Ok , I still have total control and this is a big fire. If I can hold this, then there is nothing I can't handle". For once in his life, he felt confident in his fire, and now he was going to let it roar. He took a deep breath. The fire seemed to move with his inhaling and exhaling. "I get it now, me and the fire are one, I am not controlling it, it is not controlling me." He put his hand forward with his pointer finger up. The fire started to come off of him and start forming into a giant ball of fire. "It's all paying off now." Phoenix laughed to himself. A grin formed across his face as he felt all the power right in front of him. He held on of his right arm to keep it steady and let go of the fire ball towards the women.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Dr.Everyone watched the javelins being thrown and then exploding. He watched Volt barely get up, and Phoenix summon fire to his command, and control it. Dr.Everyone felt a sense of pride and smiled. His previous underhanded doings had actually helped himself in the future.
"Good to see a change of pace from my pre-mortem self."
He then noticed Volt, barely able to stand. He was weak. He wouldn't be any use as he was. But then Dr.Everyone remembered him sucking energy out of the safe. Volt fed on electricity...perhaps...
"VOLT! Take the juice from the cellphone! It should hold you over until you can find a proper power source!"
He then noticed the woman in his peripheral vision. She was walking towards him, a red glow in her hand. He turned to face he just as she said "Cero." Dr.Everyone raised his hand as fast as he could, mind working as fast as it ever had to keep him alive. Fire burst forward, condensing, more fire filling the space fire had been. Fire followed more fire, condensing and condensing. The heat was nearing a thousand degrees already, and was becoming quite solid. The red beam hit the flames, but kept plowing forward. Then it was a standstill, and then the fire pushed back. But Dr.Everyone wasn't attacking yet. He propelled the flames forward, then spiraled into the air with fire right behind him, forming a swirling circle of flame.
"I see you speak Spanish, my dear. While, allow me to say a few words. Flamma ignis, et ero vobis in ultima fatum."

Re: Your Average Workweek
After she fired her attack, she noticed in the corner of her eye that the other fire manipulator finally had gotten his act together and launched an attack at her. It was a impressively large fire ball, though she had a feeling that his concentration on the matter would not be as solid as he would need it to be. In her left hand a ball of energy glowed, Millenia then tossed it up into the ball of fire heading towards her. There was a moment where nothing had happened, but then light began emerging from fire ball. In a few seconds, the ball of energy that she had tossed into the fire ball should detonate and extinguish the fire, or at least tear it apart result being that it brought no harm to her. She glanced over towards the electric kid, he seemed to have been taken care of for the time being but was not counted out just yet.
Millenia then focused her attention to the man she had fired her Cero attack at. This individual was much more capable with his abilities and was able to repel and negate her attack before manipulating the flames into a circular spiral behind him. He did take notice in her ability to speak Spanish even though she had only spoken one word, he then gave her a phrase that sounded like Latin. She was able to pick out a few words, but not the entire sentence. But regardless of what he had said, it would not have made a difference.
"I see you can speak many a tongues as well. Allow me to give you a response that I find appropriate."
Millenia held both her hands up right in front of her neck and mouth with her palms facing her.
Cero Metralleta
Dozens of tiny blue dots of energy began to in front of her, they took a second to charge up and then Millenia let out a small grunt which caused all of the dots to rapidly fire dozens of Cero blasts at once.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt felt another rush of pain to his shoulder and winced. "Well this is fun." he said sarcastically. He moved as quickly as he could without using his power towards the wreckage of the armored car and hid behind it. He heard Doctor Everyone's voice, telling him to use his phone's supercharged battery to hold him over until he could find something more powerful. Good idea. He thought as he pulled out the phone Doctor Everyone had given him and the battery life quickly drained from the device and into Volt. "There we go. Now for some bigger stuff..." Volt scanned the area for some things to sap energy from, when he noticed a few parked cars, one of them being a Prius. "Thank God for douchebags!" he said to himself before he dashed over to the cars. Once there, he jumped on top of the middle car, and electricity began flowing from the cars and into him. "Badapdos mother fuckers!" he cackled as he felt the electricity corse through his veins, revitalizing him. "Now, where were we?"

Re: Your Average Workweek
Phoenix watched as his attack was evaded. "Dammit, what can't she miss?" he thought to himself. He had just thrown a lot of power into that one, and was disappointed with the outcome. He was now starting to get frustrated. "Ok, enough playing around." He thought. Fire started to surround both of Phoenix's arms like sleeves. He dashed quickly so he was right behind the woman. Hundreds of ideas ran through his head like a herd of elephants. He put his hand up behind her and blasted fire towards her back. "Let's see you dodge this" Phoenix said to himself.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt had used a hybrid to recharge himself, and Phoenix was finally blasting out threatening fire attacks. Things looked very promising. For Dr.Everyone that is.
The woman had some more to say to the Doctor. What she said was much the same as last time, except with a second word following 'Cero'. As soon as she muttered the word, tiny dots began to shoot out the same attack the woman had shot from her finger moments ago. Dr.Everyone flew backwards to avoid the first initial attacks, but couldn't maneuver around them all. He took a hit to the stomach he wasn't expecting, and fell a few inches. He quickly regained from the surprise and resumed flying, only to take a few more hits to the arm and legs. The attacks had hurt, a bit more than a common punch or kick, but Dr.Everyone wasn't one for expressing pain. He let out little more than a gasp when he broke his arm. Noticeable burn marks permeated his lab coat. Apparently fire proofing did not protect again magic.
When the attack had finished, Dr.Everyone quickly flew and positioned himself so the woman was in the middle of a triangle formed by the three.
"Your odds of winning are quite low, almost astronomically impossible. Give up now, before we beat and burn you, and you can go enjoy the rest of your day. But, if you continue to be a nuisance, I'll have no choice but to hurt you."
Dr.Everyone summoned fire to his hands and toyed with it, and continued.
"You wouldn't be the first person to suffer adverse effects of meeting me. Stand down."

Re: Your Average Workweek
Millenia was focused on the man she was attacking because this spell took more concentration especially when traveling. She was able to get in a few hits, but her opponent did not take as much damage as she would have liked. However, due to her concentration on her one opponent she had briefly forgotten about the other two and was suddenly reminding when a blast of fire came scorching from behind. Her first attack was cut short as she propelled herself to the side attempting to avoid the fire attack, though her jump was too late. Millenia's left arm and leg got caught in the blaze. She let out a cry from the pain because the fire was so intense, hot enough to cause damage even to her magically enhanced defenses.
After she was out of the way and the fire attack ceased she stood up right holding her arm which was still smoking a little bit. Her entire sleeve was gone and her skirt was torched a little bit, sadly though Millenia's shoe had been ruined so she tossed that and the other one aside as to not be off balance. The flying fire bender landed and she noticed that she had been placed in the center of a triangle being surrounded by the three. Her eyes began moving around and looking at the three making sure her guard was up. The man she had just attacked said that the odds were stacked against her and that she should just give up, but judging on how easily she was able to take out the electric used and the damage she was able to cause to the first fire user, she felt as if he was under estimating her.
"You wouldn't be the first person to suffer adverse effects of meeting me. Stand down."
And that was her cue, Millenia raised her right arm, palm up, and a hexagonal rod appeared.
"Cientos De Paso Ferroviario Parch."
The rod shot up into the air and then dissolved away to form hundreds of smaller rods which then broke off into three groups to rain down on the three individuals she was facing. As that attack was in progress she first when into a second position plié brought down her right hand with her palm aiming to the right towards the electric manipulator, then brought up her left arm and pointed her palm at the fire manipulator that had just burned her. And then facing the man she had attacked she opened her mouth wide, taking this stance only took a quick second. Following green orbs of energy began charging in each hand and in front of her open mouth. Once the three beams were done charging, she closed her mouth in order to speak the incantation properly.
"Cero!
All three blasts fired simultaneously at their respective targets in addition to the impaling rods from above, after this barrage was on it's way Millenia resumed her up right first position with her hands at her sides and then snapped her fingers and open her hands.
Luz De La Luna...
A javelin of green energy appeared in each hand as she stood watching to seeing how the three would counter this attack and being ready for any attack they might retaliate with.

Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt couldn't believe that this woman was still fighting, but he was glad. He still had time to get some revenge for what she did to him earlier in the fight. The moment he saw the rod appear above her hand, he knew what was coming. "You think I'm gonna fall for the same trick twice? HA! No." he waited for both her attacks to fire before he dashed to the side and ran at full speed behind her, and at super speed threw an electrically charged punch at the back of her head. He continued to sprint past her even after the punch, in case she had any counter attacks that she may try to use on him. He ran as fast as he could straight at Phoenix, grabbed his arm and pulled him to the side. "Hey, man. How's New York been treating you?" he said as he tried to laugh, but winced instead. In the effort to save Phoenix before the blasts hit, he had taken two of the rods to his back and shoulder. "Ah damn. I knew I should've saved the punch for after I grabbed you." he said, managing a grin. "Now let's finish this bitch so we can get outta here!"

Re: Your Average Workweek
Phoenix was grabbed by Volt and pulled out of the way of the attacks, but in the process Volt was hurt.
"Thanks man, I owe you one." he said. A grin came across Phoenix's face.
"Ok, my next attack is gunna be a big one and it's going to to take a lot out of me, but if I hit her, she is done." Phoenix laughed to himself. Just as he finished that thought the women had blasted two attacks towards them.
"Dude, look out." Phoenix screamed. He threw Volt to the side and jumped as high as he could and back-flipped.
"Now I don't owe you shit." Phoenix smiled at Volt. Now he took ion a deep breath, and took a stance. He closed his eyes and fire started to surround him. The form of a Phoenix once again engulfed him. The fire was as hot as he could possibly make it. A very angry evil look came across his face.He opened his eyes powerfully and put his hand up and sent the flaming bird at Millena. He shouted and fire blasted. He watched as the fire went towards his opponent. Next he closed his hand to a fist and the giant bird split into two still very large ones. He sent one towards her head and her legs. Phoenix started to breath heavy, and dropped to his knees. His eyes started to close and he fell forward and hit the ground, and passed out.

Re: Your Average Workweek
The woman launched a three pronged attack, and Dr.Everyone was becoming annoyed. It was three on one, this woman should be a skid mark on the asphalt by now!
As rods came in from above, and three energy attacks came in from the front, Dr.Everyone shouted.
"Enough." The Doctor said calmly. He said it calmly, but lined heavily with malice. The way it was said was indeed calm, but was backed with enough anger to cause fear.
Dr.Everyone then thrust his arms out, one towards the sky and the other in front of himself. Large shields of fire flew out towards the woman's attacks. Five thousand degree flames melted the rods. Dr.Everyone further willed the fire to continue to melt and carry any remaining rod material away from him and his allies. The blast of energy was more difficult to counter. A good portion of the blast was taken by the shield of fire, but it was still coming. From Dr.Everyone's eyes two beams of fire shot out, meeting the energy blast. It began pushing it back, and within seconds both the blast and the fire beams had dissipated.
"Quite a game you just played. I use past tense because I am ending this game. As for you, well. The phrase "Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars" applies quite nicely here."
Dr.Everyone flew fifty feet into the air and closed his eyes. A sphere of fire appeared around him, and it grew hotter with every passing second. The fire became more dense, less transparent. Very soon, the sphere would become an expanding seven thousand degree (Fahrenheit) deathsphere.
"Volt! Get Phoenix somewhere safe until he awakes. Occupy that woman until I am finished!"

Re: Your Average Workweek
Millenia was hit with an electrically charged punch to the back of the head that sent her stumbling forward to the ground. She landed on her knees with a thud and saw that her attacks had been avoided. Millenia cursed under breath and saw that one of the brats was powering up another fire attack, however this one was in the shape of a bird and looked more powerful than the last. Millenia sent a quick burst of power from her hands that forced her up to her feet. She positioned one hand up at a forty-five degree angle and the other down at the same angle.
"Escudo De La Impenetrabilidad!
Two dense, clear shields of energy appeared from her hands just in time to block the attack. Millenia knew that the defense would only hold for a second if that, so she jumped back a few feet and swung her arms out by her side, he hands in a sort of claw-like position. A blue light began to glow on the tips of all of her fingers which got increasingly brighter as her small force field began to crack. Right as the shield couldn't stand the attack anymore, her attack reached its peak of brightness.
"Desgarron!!"
She then quickly brought her arms together where she was almost hugging herself, firing her attack. The blue lights fired in ten parallel lines similar to claw slashes. Right as the attack left her hands, her shields broke sending the flame birds rushing at her attack. The two blasts collided, and her Desgarron was enough to shake up the fire so that it was not as condensed. If she would have had more time to charge the attack she would have been able to tear through it completely. The remainder of the fire blasted her body. Millenia covered her face with her arms until the heat was gone.
Her clothes were now heavily charred and she was breathing heavily. Millenia stood up as much as she could, and the turned when she heard the most powerful of the three who had seemingly just decided that this 'game' had gone on long enough. She agreed to because she was dreadfully tired after that barrage of attacks that she had to pull off. Though by the looks of it, Millenia might actually be in trouble this time. The man rose up into the air and told his companions to get out of the way as a very large sphere of fire began to form. As it grew she could feel the heat from where she was standing and with that she knew that getting hit dead on by something like that would be the end of her in her current condition. She had a similar attack that she could probably use to negate his attack, but the size and power of hers and his colliding might destroy the city, and right now she had to keep as many people safe as she could. So there was really only one other option...
Millenia let out a long breath as she hunched over, and then took in a strong breath as she stood straight up and brought her arms up till they were parallel to the ground. She then let out her breath and lowered her arms to her side. Millenia then brought her right arm up and pointed her index finger at the raging ball of fire.
"I agree, we should end this silly game. Per your board game reference, I can say the same applies to you sir..."
At the tip of her finger a green light sparked, followed by the formation of a small black orb that had a green outline to it. More black energy that gave off a green glow began flow into the small orb without it increasing in size. As the attack finished charging the black energy that was flowing into it began to spiral around before it dissipated. The orb then condensed itself even further as it was ready to be fired.
"Cero Oscuras"
The attack blasted forward aimed directly at the now massive sphere of fire. With the speed, power, and size of the beam Millenia, she was sure that this would be the last attack.
Re: Your Average Workweek
Volt quickly followed his bosses orders, grabbing Phoenix and throwing him over his shoulder. "Now you owe me shit again!" he laughed. He sped off and around a corner, and arrived back just in time to see the woman charging some sort of energy ball. "That doesn't look very pleasant." he said to no one in particular. He looked to his left and noticed that he was standing next to a cyber cafe. "Damn, I didn't even know they still had these things!" he thought out loud. Volt blasted apart the front windows, and stepped inside. He began sapping the energy out of all the technology in the room and turned around. "Well, here goes everything!" he said as he channeled all the energy he could muster into his fingertips and let loose a massive bolt of electricity directly at the witch.

Re: Your Average Workweek
(Sorry for the long wait, I thought Phoenix was going to post or something but then I was informed he was not. Sorry.)
The massive sphere of fire was now ready. It was as hot as he could make it, as deadly as he could make it. Fifty feet above a street in New York now flew a seven thousand degree fiery ball of death, and it was about to explode.
"Volt! Get somewhere that seven thousand degrees won't destroy!"
Dr.Everyone closed his eyes. It took all that he could muster to hold the sphere in it's current form. But he still had the energy to initiate phase two of his game ending attack.
At the woman's right side, a massive fiery fist (which was made of at least 500 degree flames) materialized. The attack was now set. Before he could initiate his massive attack, he heard the woman shout something. He could feel the energy in the air. It was now or never.
Dr.Everyone had the fiery fist throw punches at the same time he exploded the seven thousand degree deathball outwards. Not only was the fiery fist punching at the woman, but the sphere of fire was expanding outward, consuming everything it touched. Now the fight was between his attack and the woman's attack. Her attack had a slight margin of blasting through his fire, either saving the woman completely or barely. More likely, in the Doctor's mind, was her attack dissipating when met with the fire, and the woman meeting a gruesome death.
As for Volt, the Doctor knew he was fast. If he couldn't outrun the attack, he could run in a circle fast enough to form a vortex and suck out the oxygen. Volt could handle himself, and the money. Phoenix was safe, for the most part. The only risk in the attack was the woman's life, and the Doctor was content that that outcome was a worst case scenario and that he could live with that occurrence if it happened.
