Marduk Empty Marduk

MARDUK

"If we are all grains of sand in the seas of time, then I am a beach."

The Bio

Real Name: Lost in antiquity.
Renegade Name: Marduk, a name he took upon himself.
Title: The Twilight Lord, Our Great Dragon, God of the Sands.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.
Age: ~7500 years old, physical characteristics are that of a younger teenager.
Gender: Male.
Race: He was originally a Samarran human, but transformed into a vampire.
Hair: Shaved.
Eyes: Sapphire.
Height: 5'4.
Weight: ~110 lbs.
Blood Type: His blood type is evidently unique.

The Looks

Marduk has a supreme angelic beauty, separated from the masses by his mere presence. His skin is a light mocha color, a pale tone to what would naturally be a saturnine color.  He is thin, and small framed, but his body has the tone and definition of a battle-hardened warrior. His face is flawless and angular, a blend of soft and intimidating features, all curiously entrancing, with perfect symmetry. He has incredibly dark circles around his eyes, paired with his inhumanly defined limbal rings, his eyes glow with the purest unfettered sky blue.

The Personality

Less a person than a force of nature, his motivations are primal and unhinged. His mind is almost as timeless as his body, transcending ideas such as "mental age." He can take with one hand and give with the other, like a miniature demiurge.  The hunger for life and power is a constant stream of feeling and urge, an integral part of his mind, body, and soul, it is unquenchable. He is a warrior by nature, by birth and unbirth he is a god of war upon the battlefield.

The Story

The myth goes as so: "There was once a young warrior, his battle prowess was extraordinary, so much so that he could slaughter entire battalions with his bare fists. His bloodshed awoke the sleeping vampiric goddess, the first vampire of the most ancient strain. She rose from her most sacred tomb and rode the sands to challenge the boy in a game of combat, a fight to the death with a fair opponent. Their fight lasted a month straight, before the boy finally ripped her heart out and drained every drop of blood in her body, taking the most primal and potent power into himself. His hunger became so great, he emptied whole cities, burning them down and leaving them to fade away amongst the sands.

The boy grew lonely, and fathered vampiric children, beings of such great power and prowess that they were worshipped as gods. They grew bitter towards their maker and conspired to kill him and  take his power for themselves, and their maker felt their intentions. They forged a pact with a sun god, so that they may walk during the day just enough to drag their father out and let the sun destroy him. They shared their new powers with mortal warriors to create a great army, in order to charge upon their father. The boy didn't say or act upon anything, waiting for the perfect chance to strike back.

He pretended to sleep in his great cyclopean tomb, and they raided his home and drug him towards the sun, thinking they had him beat. The vampire god mustered all of the power within himself and managed the unthinkable, he called an eclipse out of rhythm. As the lord of the night, he tore through his progeny and their progeny, lapping up their blood and taking their daywalking powers into himself. The eclipse passed over, and he fell victim to the death-sleep, allowing the hidden survivors to burn his corpse and split the ashes into ten piles. They stored them in gold vases, filling them with gold dust and writing the Seal of Shamash on their lids."

If the myth is to be believed, the surviving vampires went on to sire their own bloodlines, creating many of the common vampiric bloodlines today, all of them the descendants of Our Great Dragon. After a clueless archaeologist collected the urns and brought them together, bringing his body back together, he expended his already life-force to regenerate from an ancient prison.  His rise was felt throughout the world, an earthquake ruptured in response, but none of the current humans knew what it meant. Perhaps the old gods were warning the mortals of what was to come. But the vampires of the world surely know...

The Priority

1. Endurance
2. Reaction
3. Agility
4. Strength

The Powers

Vampiric Immortality: Marduk cannot be killed, one can only imprison him, or dismember/eviscerate his body and separate the pieces, with measures to stunt his regeneration. All of his wounds eventually heal, but the times vary depending on the size and intensity of the wound. Minor wounds can heal within the blink of an eye, like cuts and small fractures. He doesn't need to breathe, eat, etcetera, as he is physically dead, animated by metaphysical powers, and also doesn't age.

Vampiric Strength: Marduk, though weakened, is still an incredibly powerful vampire. His punches and kicks fall through steel like a hot knife through butter, being able to support buildings with his body, and much more examples. His skin gets stony and hard in response to trauma, causing most mundane weaponry to roll off of his skin, but there are limits and exceptions.

Vampiric Speed: Most other vampires move like molasses to him, even being able to move around them in a blur. He can travel faster in short bursts, but still at reasonable speeds when he needs to cross some serious land. His perception speeds have synced up with his bodily speed, allowing him to perceive sensory information at rapid rates, like bullet time.

Vampiric Mind Control: Marduk can feel the thoughts, emotions, and life-force of humans. He can impose his will upon sentient beings, including the undead, changing their thoughts and emotions to match his needs. As he is weakened, he must make eye contact with his victim and utter his command, but he can enthrall those he has already fed from. [PERMISSION REQUIRED]

Vampiric Wings: Marduk can sprout great black chiropteran wings from his back, allowing him to fly at the speed of a diving hawk. He can use them to shield his body from harm, toss enemies, and slash enemies apart with the sharp talons on the end. They can appear as a long black cloak when needed, wrapped around his body in perfect fit.

Vampiric Shapeshifting: He can metamorphose his body into other forms, especially monstrous and bestial corruptions of terrestrial animals. He can take upon the appearance of people he has drained, except for the eyes, the eyes are never right. In his weakened state he cannot take their powers, nor memories, only their appearances.

Vampiric Infection: He must drain a body to the point of death, before feeding them his blood. His power and will is pushed into them, and they rise as a vampire. He shares a telepathic link with his children, able to read their thoughts and intentions. They are generally more advanced than bloodlines of other strains, and over time develop unique traits that separate them from the common squabble.

The Weaknesses

Sunlight: Marduk loses his ability to sprout wings, shapeshift, hypnotize, etcetera, when exposed to sunlight. His regeneration is halted, although it starts again when he is pushed into shade. However, he still retains his physical power, which is not to be overlooked. Sunlight also shows his "true nature" to those around him.

Gold: Wounds in contact with gold will not regenerate and weapons made of pure gold will pierce his skin, despite the softness of the metal. Gold is considered a holy metal, charged with much solar energy. Wearing it around the neck or wrists will deter him from feeding upon you.

Sustenance: Marduk must feed to maintain his life-force, although he has amassed enough from feeding to keep him going for a while despite his current weakness. When is overtook by his bloodlust, he falls victim to the primal personification of hunger within all vampires, going on a rampage.

Fire: Fire can harm him like a mortal, the quickest way to destroy him for containment. He will avoid fire, especially in great amounts. Wounds created by fire take longer to heal, and are also incredibly painful long after the initial attack. It is a mystical pain, however, as his pain receptors shouldn't function in unlife.

Stale Blood: Stale blood will temporarily turn him into the dead state again, weakening him in the face of his enemies. As long as it enters his system, it will take effect. Bagged blood does not count, but is merely a T.V. dinner when compared to the full-course meal of fresh blood.

Death-Sleep: Marduk, when daywalking, must resist the compulsion to fall into a death-sleep, returning to his corpse state during the day. If he does suffer from it, he shall appear as a corpse, unable to move or be aware of his surroundings until dusk. He cannot resist the death-sleep forever, though.

Seal of Shamash: The Seal of Shamash acts as a crucifix to a classic vampire, repelling him and causing mystical pain to his body. Touching the seal itself causes damage reminiscent of fire. He also cannot trespass doorways or entryways with a Seal of Shamash near/on it.

Stakes: Wooden stakes, when they have enough force behind them to pierce the skin, will stun him if they enter his heart. He assumes a corpse state until the stake is removed. Not any splinter of wood will do though, it has to be specially made with the intention to harm him.

The Items

He has riches upon riches stored in his tombs and crypts, with many other treasures among them.

The Minions

N/A.

The Fluff

He can conceal his true face and fang teeth, except when in sunlight or consumed by his bloodthirst. He also has no shadow, reflection, and cannot be filmed or photographed. He is an awesome musician as well.
