The Looks




The Personality


Nocturne always says things in a friendly tone of voice even though he may be trying to convey something else entirely. He enjoys being helpful and he is always calm and sure of his actions while it may not be the best course of action available.

The Story


Nocturne was made by Nathaniel/Knightfall around six years ago when he needed help managing all his hardware etc. Back then Nocturne was simply an AI program without tangible form but he was and still is one of Knightfall's closest friends if you could call him that. The two trust each other deeply and Nocturne treats him with only the utmost respect. A few years after Nocturne's creation Knightfall provided him with a physical form as his main mode of transportation, a heavily-modified motorcycle. Now Nocturne could physically be there on missions with him and observe things firsthand. Eventually, Nocturne found flaws in Knightfall's brand of justice getting increasingly distraught by his recklessness. This led Nocturne to hack and take over the systems of one of Knightfall's ongoing projects: a heavily-armored exoskeleton for intense combat situations. Now Nocturne could see fit that things were done his way separating himself slightly from Knightfall in their work. Nocturne now exclusively protects the citizens of New York City to the best of his potential.

The Powers


Tech Flight: Nocturne can fly through the use of thrusters located all along his person designed for aerial propulsion.

Teleportation: Since Nocturne is partially powered by the same energy Knightfall gives off when he travels through space-time he can use this energy to teleport short distances. He can teleport people with others as well as long as they are contained within him.

Intuitive Aptitude: Nocturne can instantly learn and understand the complexity and exactness of organisms, objects, subjects, fields, powers, etc. without the need for prolonged study just by making contact with them.

Adoptive Muscle Memory: Through observation alone, Nocturne can copy any/all movements/actions after seeing it performed once.

Ultimate Vision: Nocturne has a large variety of vision filters at his disposal these include: AR Vision, X-Ray Vision, Night Vision, Telescopic Vision, and Illusion Vision. His vision is also unaffected by things such as bright blinding lights, etc.

Cloaking: Nocturne is able to activate reflective plating along his outer shell to act as a nearly perfect camouflage effect rendering him invisible to the untrained eye.

Medical Encapsulation: Since Nocturne is an exoskeleton his body can open up to let people inside whether it be to teleport civilians out of harm's way, keeping wounded alive with his life support systems, or to give others an edge in battle by overriding his systems to operate Nocturne manually. The former is done with an activation code that has to be spoken aloud facing Nocturne.

The Weaknesses


Robot See Robot Do: Nocturne can only mimic what he can process through sight. This means he has to see what's happening to reenact it and he can't replicate non-physical (including some physical) powers.

Battery Life: Nocturne has a battery life that is used up as long as he's powered on, and performing system functions depletes the battery. Much like a phone running apps.

Sensory Overload: If too many things are going on around Nocturne it gets difficult to focus on one thing alone.

Overheating: If too much energy is absorbed or put into Nocturne's system he starts to overheat and malfunction.

EMP: Nocturne does not have shielding against EMPs making his systems entirely vulnerable to them.

Priorities: No matter what situation presents itself Nocturne still has only one priority which is to ensure civilian safety. This limits his options in tough situations and can bring him into harm's way.

Cloaking: His camouflage can be seen through by anyone who looks close enough as it lets off little shimmers of light every so often.

Thrusters: While exposed taking out Nocturne's thrusters will keep him grounded and unable to fly.

Hacking: Nocturne's systems and AI are susceptible to hacking even though he has firewalls set up anyone with decent hacking knowledge can access his systems.

Magic: Nocturne doesn't fully understand magicks as if they're completely alien to him and can be caught off guard easily when against a magic-user.

Magnets: Strong magnets when near enough to Nocturne make his systems short out and malfunction thus incapacitating him.

Acid: Strong acids can dissolve and burn through Nocturne's metal exterior.

Manual Mode: As long as they know the activation code anyone whether good or bad can switch Nocturne to manual mode. This prevents Nocturne from intervening and allows him to be utilized as a weapon rather than a help.

Intense Heat: When exposed to high temperatures Nocturne can be melted down entirely once reaching his melting point.

The Items


Multipurpose Nanobots: Nocturne can deploy a small swarm of nanobots to either repair his systems, attack/destroy enemy systems from the inside out, or hack into systems. These nanobots aren't very useful in stealth situations as they do emit a low buzzing sound when deployed. They're also easily destroyed and if all of them are destroyed Nocturne can't have more produced until he gets back to Knightfall's workshop.

Wrist-Mounted Bunker Buster: There's a hatch on Nocturne's right wrist that contains a miniature bunker buster that is most accurate from 23 feet away or less with laser-guidance. It is capable of penetrating 3 feet of reinforced concrete before exploding.

Retractable Shoulder-Mounted M-134 Machine Gun: On Nocturne's left shoulder a smaller version of an M-134 machine gun can be deployed. This is Nocturne's main assault weapon but since it's so bulky and juts out of the top of Nocturne's shoulder it's an easy target.

The Minions


The Fluff


Combat Mastery: Over the years overseeing Knightfall's technology and performance in the field Nocturne has mastered the art of physical combat much faster than his creator did even with his powers.

Marksmanship: Nocturne has also picked up expert marksmanship from Knightfall at least with handguns.

Multi-Lingual: Nocturne has most known Earth languages in his database and can switch between them with ease.

Parallel Processing: With Nocturne's mind being that of a supercomputer he is capable of performing multiple calculations at once without strain.

Couple of issues I'm seeing with your app here, Knightfall.

I'm need more info on the adoptive muscle memory. Does this mean Nocturne can copy powers? If so, that's a separate power and needs to be treated as such.

The wrist mounted bunker busters and shoulder mounted machine guns both need weaknesses.

If this is fixed, I think I can let it through. Let me know when it's done and I'll take a look again.
