Sometimes some people prefer not to have razor sharp steel plunged into their bodily cavities, so those people talk about a lot of interesting things. One such person talked to Diana about an operation that required boats and diving suits.

And so, in the dead on night, Diana and her fellow meddler brought their drug boat bought with drug money to a very remote seaside cave. She slips into a diving suit once they arrived at the cave with the marked rocks. A suspension from school was a perfect time to bust more heads off american soil. She tosses the water-tight container in and goes through the lit-access tunnel.

Since the guards figured there was no way anyone would know about their operations, they cluelessly bring up the lift out of the water and onto the platform. Whoever built this place must have been a master of engineering and logistics, considering all the pre-fab steel used to make dry, even platforms for the Edge manufacturing equipment, as well as provide good lighting and even a plumbing system to have a wash station for the "cooks".

The latino guard opened the container, finding it understandably empty. "...You guys look new." He commented to the two in diving suits, toting an MP5 submachine gun.

Diana figured this was not yet the optimal place to start a rampage. She simply nodded to him.

"...Bring the crate to the store room for a shipment... and lose the diving suits, you'll get the lab wet, alright?" He said, being cool and professional, eyeing the other divers who came for a "shipment".

Diana nods again, and pats her fellow meddlers to go along, until they can find the right time and place to bust the lab up good. For now, she wanted to take a look at this pretty nifty operation, criminal and narcotic as it was.

Since the last excursion with drugs and Las Vegas, Bliss no longer wanted to send herself to assist with Danny's adventures. And, since her last adventure ended so terribly, Bliss felt she did need to send something of value to assist in this endeavor. In her stead, Bliss recruited a team to act as Danny's backbone in the operation. Abby would stay in the boat and check her Instagram while invisible, but a new recruit could  make or break the mission.

Tori zipped up her wet suit and dived into the water. While Danny and Diana would go through the front door, Tori moved to try and navigate to find a secret entrance into the facility. Her hydrokinesis could spot any problems in the island, giving her a heads up.

Back on the surface, Danny moved past the clueless guards, carrying the watertight container. This mission might be easy enough to finish if everyone acted like that guard, but Danny knew in her heart, it always got worse. "Okay, put it down." Danny dropped the canister inside as she started to unzip her wetsuit. "Bliss said the plant was her, but she didn't say who all ran it, so we need to find out who is in charge here." Danny opened the canister, pulling out her bracelet and a communication device. She tossed its sister to Diana. "Let's split up and try to find what we can. We meet back here in fifteen minutes."

Diana looked around the white, gray and blue locker room and whistled. Chemical showers, bio-hazard disposal, multi-lingual safety tips, hard hats, masks, a fully complemented medical station.  "Still... this is the most well thought out operation I've seen so far. Who's their manager, Walter White?" Diana looked around and even found spare lab coats and masks, which were the standard fashion of the place. Considering all the nasty chemicals and fumes, this showed excellent regard for the health of skilled workers- not to mention provided them a convenient cover. Diana found some small or extra small coats for herself and her fellow infiltrator.

Diana made off with the container and headed for storage, sword still hidden yet accessible.

The operation was built around a central laboratory area, sealed off with thick plastic walls to keep out humidity that effectively made it a clean room laboratory. Indeed, they certainly took things up a notch, with the guards and lab cooks wearing proper laboratory gear.

All around were the support areas- lockers, armories, power, communications and even a rec room. Despite the abundant amenities though, there was an unease among the staff that explained their reduced vigilance.

A sharp ear might pick up tidbits of concern from the crew.

"Boss been talkin' funny lately."

"Yeah I noticed. Didn't know he was into dressin up."

"Think he's goin' full supervillain? Some of the guy's been gettin in on the act as of late."

"Dude. You never go full supervillain."

Danny would find the loot room, where bounties from the sea were found. Several chests lay about, while priceless pieces of art, pottery, and jewelry were segregated on tables. Piles of coins were counted and divided into neat stacks.

"Keep away from me gold, ye pyjama wearin' scalewags! Only The Cap'n and the first mate get to count the swag, the rest o ye get yer share o tha plunder after!" A growl suddenly puts the chatty guards on alert.

The middle aged, fit brunette man was definitely someone with the appearance of some business professional from the mainland, yet this was totally out of sync with his pirate speak and mannerisms. He walked with a limp despite his leg being fine, and carried an actual bejeweled cutlass around.

"Watcha lookin at, landlubber?! Pay ye respects and salute the Cap'n when he passes! What kind of crew is this... Me grandmum could run a ship better... and she did too." He snarled at Danny, not quite recognizing her or anyone he spoke to for the matter. He headed... or perhaps swaggered... into the loot room to open one of the chests, which contained a navy coat and a nice tripoint hat, mumbling about proper dress, booty and pillaging and raping and killing and rum.

The other guards simply shrug at Danny, concerned where their 'boss' was taking them.

Meanwhile...

Tori would find the utility pipes the only other possible access point into the facility. Located in a far off cave filled with sharp rocks, The primary drain reeked of chemicals and human waste, emptied directly into the cave, explaining the contamination. Still, there was a locked gate for the maintenance access, averting the need to crawl through a most vile point of ingress. All that stood in Tori's way was a sturdy lock, and a cctv camera, and another locked steel door into the base's pump room, and a couple of armed engineers...

Meanwhile Meanwhile...

Not to be left alone, Abby's boat would soon be visited by a most foul mouthed... parrot. It perched on the edge of the boat. Then it started opening its beak, though not loud enough to overcome the sound of the crashing waves inside the cave.

"RAAAAK! LANDLUBBER! RAAAAAK! LANDLUBBER GONNA WALK THE PLANK! RAAAAK!"

This isn't about the drugs Empty Re: This isn't about the drugs

Post by Danny The Sphinx July 28th 2016, 4:20 am

The horrible smell made its presence known even under water. If Tori wanted in, she would need to pass through this horrible grating- or would see? The video camera turned her off from wanting to make this a public spectacle, meaning she would need to act like a salmon and go against the tide. She kicked her legs around, stalling as she prepared for her next action. the terrible, ill-smelling, and cringe worthy process of making her way through the sewer valve.

The first hurdle found itself vaulted with the assistance of kelp covering the lens of the camera. A torrent of water swelled from inside the tunnel, ripping the hinges off the grate, and expunging a cloud of waster. Tori breathed a little easily knowing the tunnel would now be slightly more accessible- but she made sure to not breathe easily until that cloud passed off into the distance.

This stupid parrot just walked onto the boat. Did parrots even have great sense of smell? While Abby knew nothing to gauge about the situation, she could tell the parrot definitely made some squawks to her. Wearing a pink and black wetsuit, Abby knew invisibility still gave her the best chance of going unnoticed, but the glow from her cell phone probably did not. Maybe he was attracted to Instagram? Maybe this bird was not a bird at all. Maybe it possessed some powers form another world. Whatever it did, Abby hoped it would just pass if she stopped uploading pictures for a minute.

The labsuits all looked too loud for a stealthy infiltration. No matter how much she tried to pull it up, the material refused to stop ruffling around. Too bad, Danny always wondered what she would look like as a welder made out of marshmallows. Lurking in her wetsuit, Danny slid into a room pushed away from the primary hallways as two guards emerged. She held the door open with a turquoise bar of energy and waited for the coast to clear.

The inside of the room looked more than fantastic, but far from outside the norm of a drug dealer. Did this guy just find the only island in the world still acting as a defunct X on the map? It did not matter in the long run of things, but it did interest Danny to begin trying to look around the place. The door opened behind her. Before she could muster up any kind of lock to bar the door, Danny stood face to face with an accountant pirate who would be in perfect place coming out of The Meaning of Life. "Yar?" Danny muttered as he stepped past the out of place infiltrator while two guards trailed behind him.

MAIN AREA

It seemed in the short time the accountant pirate was practicing for talk-like-a-pirate day, his face had grown a full beard and he was beginning to smell the part too. You could almost hear the shanty being hummed somewhere.

He stepped out into the cooking area, getting everyone's attention by being dressed up like a pirate in a hazardous area. He storms over to the bottles of Edge, takes a whiff of a bottle and unceremoniously throws it into a supporting i-beam.

"What's the matter with ye lot, makin' this swill?!" Everyone's eyes were on him now, including Diana, who was still investigating.

"Sir, we have a schedule..." One of the cooks tries to remind him, but he'd have no back talk and slaps her hard enough to send her sprawling.

"Schedule? Schedule??? What kind of talk is that, missy... I... I get it. ye not be me crew at all, ye miserable lot! No matter. I can fix that." He drew his cutlass, and for a moment the female cook in the hazard cook suit recoiled in fear, afraid she might become drug-cook shishkebab.

"Time to wake up, lads!" He points his sword to the ground, and from there, a sinister laughter from beyond the borders of life and death rang through the compound. From beneath the cave floor the spirits of the restless dead arose. The orderly, disciplined guards were soon running for their lives from incorporeal spirits hungry for bodies to inhabit. The female cooks were not spared, siezed as well by malevolent spirits.

"No more hidin' an no more restin'! Today Captain Flint Bloth plunders again!" A piratey

There were more living bodies in the compound than spirits, hiding out in the support areas. Diana herself faced a spirit, but the wraith did not appreciate the soul slaying sword she carried.

"To the ship!" He commanded marching the majority of his 'crew' through the watery tunnel, which conveniently receded to make a path. The remaining guards and cooks who weren't possessed soon faced sinister former comrades who were now carrying modern The men were killed, but the women quickly captured and chained up.

Danny would come face to face with one such sinister possessed guard, toting his sub-machinegun like a pistol, and having his knife out. "Come peaceably, little bird, and maybe I'll keep you to meself hehehe...."

UTILITY ROOM

The engineers, having to spend most of their time among very loud pumps and engines, had to wear heavy duty ear plugs which made them effectively deaf. Unfortunately they had company, in the form of a Frustrated Mercenary who couldn't stomach the smell of a drug lab or the pirate antics. She was enjoying a bottle of spiced rum, ironically, with the engineers, when they decided to act less like engineers and more like sailors.

"Ello' lass... yer a pretty little bird, to be down here in the galleys." They approached the Crimson Reaper with a most sinister tone.

"Vat are you doing?" She asked, still lounging and stretching out in her chair, kicking back the shots.

"Tis been a fortnight since I've had the sweet warmth of a woman betwix me lions... we got gold n jewels if ye be seekin... compensation."

She blinkingly looked at the bottle of spiced rum, then at how far her weapons were at the table. "Okay, let's step outside..." She said invitingly, getting the possessed engineers all excited. Holding their hands, she leads them outside to the cave.

They were quickly duped, as Natasha quickly flash stepped back inside, locking the door behind them. "AND STAY OUT!" she shouted, followed by cursing in Russian.

"Soddin wench! You have no idea who are?! We be the crew of dread captain Bloth!" The engineers bang on the door to no avail. They sulk around in the cave, cockblocked and angry, not realizing the use of the ID card dangling on their belts.

OUTSIDE

Abbey would be in for a surprise as the waters around her churned, and a massive dark shape began to rise from the bottom of the ocean. A dark shape with black masts, bristling with cannons, and flying the skull and crossbones. Water drained from the holes in its hull, and sealife hurried to evacuate it. Phantoms of men stalked its deck, chanting in unison their otherworldy shanty. Once more, the Maelstrom would sail, and plunder the land of the living...

This isn't about the drugs Empty Re: This isn't about the drugs

Post by Danny The Sphinx August 4th 2016, 3:32 am

Once the man with the pirate voice preoccupied himself with the treasure, Danny slipped out. She reached into her boot for a voice communicator to try and reach a message to Abby to relay once everyone gave the all clear. Very little of the situation rang out as anything close to an all clear. Tori stopped communicating; Diana went off the grid; and, even Abby stopped communicating with anyone. "Looks like I have to do every little thing to clear this whole mess up. I wonder if anyone else notices how weird this mess is, or if I'm on my own in taking in all of the-"

"Shut up." A hushed whisper came from Abby. "People can hear you. There is just weird stuff, and some of us don't want parrots or ghost ships finding us. So again, shut up."

"You're so pleasant Abby. It's amazing Bliss isn't nicer when you bring her coffee." To say a ruckus broke out around the building would cut short noise pollution. A full blown calamity escalated into a disaster, and Danny could only stand and try to avoid it as best she could.

By summoning a turquoise gauntlet, taking a breath, and getting ready to deal with everything in the most cheerleader way possible. Dismantling the leader.

Tori made her way past the major gate, swimming gracefully until a light began to form ahead of her. She broke the water with her head, pulled herself onto a ledge, and tried to get the ringing in her ears to stop. She never needed to hit them more than twice. Even holding her nose and blowing worked like a broken charm. Then she looked over to the wall. "Hey, there's something fishy going on."

"We know, Tori. There's pirates and Abby said something about a ghost ship, but she also isn't talking, so good luck on that one." Danny peaked her head out to try and find an area of cool, collected thought, but only found her usual trouble. "Little bird? You're out of historical context even by the out historical context of your boss. None of you make sense, and- screw it." A turquioise beam would shoot out, hitting the men in their faces, knocking them to the ground with as little pleasantness as possible. "No one is going to blame me for-oh Tori, are you still there?"

"Yeah, there's some lady around here, but it isn't Diana. I'll check in. Have you seen Diana?" Tori stepped into the hallway. She could still hear the commotion coming from down the hall, but the voice seemed gurgled in the metal. Only as she grew closer did she begin to understand the gurgling merely came from another accent. "Excuse, me. Do you happen to work here? And not be apart of the weirdness around here." Tori stretched her hand out. "Hi, Victoria Smith, we're actually enemies in this most likely, but I feel our priorities should be straightened out."
